  1. I heard that rails upkeep was dirt cheap if you werent fighting or offering battlepay the shadows of vengeance leader said its 250k per full repair without offering any battlepay

but battlepay is what makes people go fight for you. before decisive judgement was put into the sectors, there was NO ONE running the conflict battles. Everyone was saying there is no incentive for it. Hence Battle went stagnent with hardly and damage dealt to each side.

  2. I don't understand why people keep bring up the 0% tax thing at the start of the dark sectors implement. No one knew what the cost of upkeep is for the rails. It was new, there is no one to turn to for advice. As things move forward, you have to adjust to the situation. Eclipse knew that having 0% wasn't feasible at all to maintain the rails so taxes have to be put up.

A good example is this, last battle at Gabii, Ceres. TW alliance after the battle had to raised their taxes to 13%, more than double than what they had before. Why did they have to raise their taxes like Eclipse? They found out that upkeep of the rail cost a lot of credits just like Eclipse did.

  3. some rly think they can attack 0/0 rails and put 15/5 in place

in 23 hours this rail will require defense guys

just a head up for those like me&that are for 0% solar system

from my understanding that 15/5 is just a default place holder for every rail that is deploy. Once conflict is over, you can change it to your liking.

  4. I have to say that the hatred over Eclipse is so bad that they would rather have a resource tax than credit tax. Take a look at Babii, Ceres. Eclipse lost the fight and now taxes went up to 13% and look a resource tax. Correct me if I am wrong, I read that its rounded up so if you do find an orokin cell there, it gets taken away by the alliance. Credits you get to potentially earned back via battle pay, resources you can't.

wow sometimes blind hatred just amazes me.

  5. I was calculating using the basic percentage subtraction at first but the formula is not so straight forward. My actual in game reward is around 12k. First time 11k, I did it again just to confirm, and I got 12k. It's probably had to do with the number of people in team. But its not my fault nobody play on this high tax node while I could easily get a 4 man team in pluto zero tax node.

you still didn't say which node. different sectors give out different rewards. without stating which specific node you are just perpetuating the "eclipse is evil tax greedy".

  6. That's what my reward screen tell me, 12k. I would post a screenshot if I am not at work at the moment. I'm not sure how the 25% is calculated but that's the amount I received. Maybe you should go play on Eclipse 25% node and see how much you're getting.

without stating which specific node, both sides can claim they are right. and if you are specificly farming for credits only, its pointless to do anything other than the highest paid nodes which without taxes is 23k. with 25% tax, thats about 17k reward.

  7. Sechura at w5 gives 23k credits.

25% tax = 17k credits only. (average 5-6k lost per mission to a pointless vault that I have to play a dumb rail support mission for)

I have nothing against Eclipse, but, for the love of whatever, why the hell would I be supporting someone, regardless of their honour or whatnot when they're giving me more trouble than satisfaction?

To that end... Sechura ought to be left to the SoV. 0% tax?

I can actually enjoy the game without having to invest time and dedication into a clan.

With the Armistice giving us a total of 3 days of non-invasion, I think I'll take the lower grind profit over the max grind profit.

average battle pay from eclipse has been around 10k and in 2 mins of work you could have made that 5k back and pocketed an extra 5k. so for every 10 min you spend credit farming, you can make that back in 2 mins.

  8. greed is a two way street. isn't it also greedy for keeping everything to yourself instead of sharing a small portion of it? people are all up in arms demanding ceos pay more taxes when here in warframe, some people are the total opposite.

with the taxes, eclipse has been able to shell out an average 10k battle pay back to the player base for thousands of tickets. i don't see how you can call that greedy. if the battle pay is extremely small then ya you have a point but thats not what is happening.

  9. Again, you're trying to make the argument that Eclipse pays out 50k all the time which isn't true. But keep telling yourself that, and also keep telling yourself that Eclipse has a 25% tax for the good of the community.

well maybe you should re-read what i wrote, i said if we feel that we are about to lose a sector, out comes the huge battle pay. its money in reserve in case of emergency.

but honestly how many clans/alliances you know of that can put out 10k battle pay for 1000+ tickets consistenly

  10. Yes, and that's where they get the bulk of their credit income from, the higher tax on members. 75%. So, if they've got 75% tax on members, explain to me WHY there is the necessity for a 25% tax on non-alliance members? I'm not mad about losing 25% of credits because I don't play their node. But rationally explain to me what justifies a 25% tax, and with that my support?

battle reserves in case you need it, like a rainy day fund. Its how 50k battle pay is possible. when we feel the conflict is starting to favor the opponent, out comes the huge battle pay. If you don't have a backup plan, (even in life) it will only make things a lot tougher.

  11. Yeah, Photrius was right. That clan might have upped their tax because they didn't have enough to pay supporters, nor were generating much support in keeping their rail. Eclipse, on the other hand, doesn't need a 25% tax, and even if they did, they wouldn't need it if they wouldn't have made a land grab of so many nodes with the lure of 0% tax.

how do you know that Eclipse don't need a 25% tax? the last battle at Caracol, Saturn, battle pay ran out at 10k at 300+ runs twice and the final wave of battle pay was 12k at around 600 tickets. Do you know of any other alliance/clan that can dish out 10k battle pay for 1000+ ticket?

  12. when you say quick melee, do you mean have your gun out and do a melee attack? My default melee attack button is Right Button since I use a 360 controller.

this is how i have my controller setup for melee. hold Y to switch into melee mode. once in melee mode, my Right Button is my default melee attack with Left Trigger as my channeling and Right Trigger is my block. Forgot if I had to hold Y again to go back to gun mode or not, maybe it was just a push.

  13. heres the deal with being a member of eclipse;

    1) 75% tax on rails, so far on 2 rails we get a 75% tax. While you be getting 15k, I'll be getting 5k.

    2) the willingness to defend a rail. how many of you would go defend a rail for 75 minutes straight with getting 0 rewards at that.

    3) make huge donations to the alliance vault (500k-1 mil)

people do that cause they have pride. and pride is the only reward so far for owning a dark sector area.

also isn't the armistice what people wanted? have more up time for the the sectors? so why are people complaining about that, you got what you wanted.

  14. I wasn't complaining about eclipse. I just see another chance to voice my opinion, an suggestions on solar rail. An opportunist should never skip a good chance!

I guess I should have been more specific, that wasn't towards you directly. That's the mentality a lot of people have. There have been a few threads about the big bad eclipse but yet, they don't want to lift a finger to do anything about it except complain on the forums.

  15. .......but I feel wasting time on the solar rail wars is pointless right now in its undeveloped stage, and with literally nothing else to do but repeat the same action..........

so people come to the forums to wasting time complaining about eclipse. like others have said either put up or shut up. if people don't want to repeat the same old boring actions then they have no right to complain.

  16. as for eclipse holding onto many rails, who cares. This aint the little leagues where everyone gets to get a trophy for coming in 10th place. If some alliance can manage the man and money power to hold down a lot of rails, it shows they are doing something right. If everyone gangs up on all their rails, it be extremely hard to defend all those. But everyone finds the mission to be boring so they don't help contest the rails and just come to the forum to complain about it.

  17. I don't know if people remember the couple months when there were nothing being released in clan tech weaponry. Everyone was wondering why weapons like Penta, cestra was in the market when they should have been clan tech.

  18. if you don't like how the dark sector areas are always in conflict then do something about it by helping one side to knock out the other rail faster. Find the mission to do that boring?, then don't complain about the down time. It makes you look like a hypocrite. The eclipse vs angry joe army battle lasted around only 3 and a half hours. So yes the battles can end quickly if people want to do something about it. But they don't and just like to complain.

  19. when i am spamming dark sector def missions as a vauban for credits, it is super annoying to get a nova in the group who uses m prime. not only do i have to wait for the molasses infested to come, i also have to run around the map to gather all the damn loot.

I stand a few feet away from the pod and just toss out a vortex to suck in everything and kill everything all in one centralized area. That way no one have to barely move a few feet and all the loot is there in one spot.
