and you wonder why people tell you to git gud

I'm not bad. but if you went more than 10 minutes in Grineer Ship or Kuva Fortress or any Infested map, encountering hundreds, if not thousands of enemies you would understand that being expected to never shoot anywhere in the immediate 10 meters of yourself ever even once for penalty of instant death is just ridiculous. At least it is ridiculous in the context of a discussion about what holds a category of weapon back, because it is absolutely absurd to expect an entire playerbase of a game to put up with something so tiring and pointless as I said, dying for something not even close to OP, in many cases not even considered strong. It essentially has no value whatsoever what you are saying; the popularity of these weapons and the fun which can be had with them is severely hindered by the level at which they punish you, and from a design perspective I believe it would make explosive weapons less of a waste of time. You can say whatever you want, I don't exactly care what you think considering I'm trying to have a discussion about the larger issue with these weapons while you're having the micro-discussion of telling specific people to git gud. If you're not even going to try to solve a problem, go away?

  2. We can derail the thread and argue random things all we want, but if you shoot one thing too near to you, be it a fast enemy, random enemy, or a wall (seriously though, having to be 100% strict when playing with a launcher is exhausting) you will die instantly. This is seriously inconvenient, anti-fun (where launchers should be very very fun) and it isn't really in exchange for launchers having any kind of extreme power.

I wish it were something like low hard capped self damage. The majority of warframes cannot heal themselves, and players otherwise would already try to minimize damage to themselves as best they can even if it didn't total the shields. Dying is a redundant "incentive", they would already try to avoid damage. And if in that rare case where they do think 250 dmg is worth shooting the guys surrounding you one good time so you can escape... any other weapon would have let them shoot and escape. So why not just let launchers do it already.

  3. I was able to survive the poison and rez the target by spamming Regenerative Molt on Saryn.

This should not be the case, though. The defense target took EXTREME dps from wandering through traps, and was downed literally a dozen times, where our team used a combined ten rezzes to complete the mission. We had Rhino and Limbo and could barely hold it together. This defense map should be excluded from sorties (though in my opinion, the traps could be toned down or removed [fat chance] so that people might actually want to play Kuva Fort defense. As for now I don't think they ever have or ever will, which is a shame cuz it has potential.

  4. So my weapon is a physical damage shotgun with corrosive and cold added onto it. the cold mod is at the very end of the loadout. sometimes(? or maybe all the time? it gets so chaotic its hard to tell before the enemies level up enough for it to really matter) instead of seeing corrosive or cold proc, I get magnetic. As though magnetic was what I modded for. I am Saryn and there is no Volt to add electric to the gun. I have a loadout which is primarily magnetic, is my arsenal showing the corrosive build while playing off of the magnetic in actuality? I don't know. I have no idea why this would happen, but its frustrating to run up to a lvl 100 napalm, unable to strip its armor before being blasted in the mouth.

  6. But whats the benefit from having to go around and half lives when i can just tonkor their face and atomos the halls clean instead of burning some precious energy to do what could be done in seconds?

Then what's the point of any warframe at all other than sheer utility? So far, for you people, it has been to nuke, that's about it. Btw you could just use the atomos on the spores enemies. Does your job 2x quicker for 25 energy. Sooo bad.

  7. Spore guarantees viral on anything it hits. That's strong as absolute F on its own. Molt can drop your aggro and let you reposition, and heal with augment. Lash is hampered by melee being what it is, but if you want a melee build then the block boost has what I think would help make it doable. Miasma is good. But it isn't free win. Objectively it is worse. But it is so freaking ignorant to say saryn as a whole is worse. When did we get to a point where anything that you have to play is bad? F, how is everything having half the life bad?? Because you have to shoot it now?!

The synergy is there to still make miasma powerful, at least with work, and not instant near 10k powerful. The moves work themselves. You don't have to sit there spamming 4 then wondering why you had no energy. It's because you spammed 4. How bout try spreading spores and infecting crowds and cutting them down. Half healthed foes even an hour into survival. Corrosive weapon, but viral procs. Devastation. Actually try.

  8. Nerfed into the ground LOL. Miasma with max power strength and duration does less damage collectively, even with VIral+Toxic procs up, than it did before with the typical max range - tf - intensify build. Like, ~50%.

Not too mention health nerfed despite being specifically told otherwise just beforehand.

    RIP Saryn indeed.

Considering Miasma did like 8000 damage, being reserved, did you seriously expect to keep that? "Rip saryn." That's all I see,and yet, guaranteed viral proc on spores. Half everything's health in a spreading aoe. Toss it on one target and shoot that before you kill it and soon the whole room's health is halved. It's almost Nova on your 1. Rip Draco, more like. Freaking delusional.

  10. The mistake you (and many others) are making is conflating the issue of nuke abilities and viver with rep farming.

DE has expressed an interest in curtailing the effectiveness of x-ray nuke abilites. However, it wasn't until Viver that they were able to see exactly what was going on. The initial response was understandable, but flawed. Now they're coming at it from the other side.

This isn't about rep farming. There's a cap on that, you can farm however hard you want and you'll still only be able to rank up as fast as DE says you can. This is about the powers that have been given to players, and whether or not they're too effective to maintain a modicum of difficulty in the game.

Also, I'm not sure why you're making out like removing god modes is a bad thing.

I was explaining how Viver lead to an actual spark of aggression by DE toward powers, that beforehand was little more than "4 spamming is pretty OP sometimes"

REP FARMING, is solved enough, sure. But the mark VIVER LEFT, seems to have made so obvious a mark on DE's opinion of powers that theres no way it isn't a massive part of where we are now. Which is why I can't call it baseless nor a conspiracy, which is the easiest credibility-stripping buzzword to use for anything lengthy and speculative nowdays.

  11. To be fair, that "huge case" was mostly baseless conspiracy theorizing about rep farm. Which is a non-issue now that we have a daily cap.

    Remove Viver.

    Everyone goes to Cerberus.

    Add nullifier crewmen...

    Place them on Cerberus.

Add them to the void, too, the most important place in the game for actually getting things.

I mean, it's strongly obvious that DE is getting &!$$ed off with powers, and it isn't just about 4's either. Before the whole Viver thing, almost everything that was nerfed or changed was something that allowed near invincibility. Snow Globe got a health cap, Iron skin changed (this was some of the earliest), Radial Blind changes, Blessing changes, Bastille got an enemy limit, Overheat removed from ember. The odd power out was Molecular prime, but that instantly triggered and took all kill credit so, different, clear reasoning.

You see, before the Viver thing, the problem powers were either clearly indisputably OP, or just made it impossible to die, for the most part.

During the Viver thing, they start nerfing the frames involved all over. Directly targeting things that aren't "godmode buttons" but tools used for the grind.

After the Viver thing, they create an enemy who immunizes himself and everyone around him until he is spammed or dies; after appeasing everyone by reversing the frame-specific nerfs, they universally nerf those same frames and more with this unit. Directly specific course of action towards powers... like a month after Viver? And that's supposed to be a baseless conspiracy? What is DE supposed to be responding to, if not the biggest pants-down display of "powers OP" in the history of the game hands down?

Just because rep farm is now a non-issue, doesn't mean DE stopped feeling that powers, as shown through Viver, are an issue. And here we are. Nullifiers.
