    basicly.

The problem isn't that there is a workaround for the boss mechanic..
The problem is that the boss mechanic exists in the first place.

    Pretty much this.

What do we play a looter shooter for, aim for higher numbers, if the Devs just release content after content that ignores our high numbers.

  2. The actual problem is not that SD is just another mod that trivializes a core boss mechanic.

The problem is that we yet again got a boss whose core mechanic is some invulnerability nonsense you have to get around by a gimmick.

If I wanted to fight gimmicks I would play Breath of the Wild.

What do we even need all those mods and weapons fore if DE nullifies them anyway...

Nah, they should make Rebecca (aka 26-million-losers baby) farm 5000 mutagen samples as a new episodic series during her Prime Time sessions - would have enough material for laughs and giggles for years to come. Literally...

    This will be fun.

    BTT:
The cost is just absurd. There are tons of players that play alone in their own clan because DE failed at the clan system and let it die to a point where it was better to stick to yourself. Now they come around and punish all those.

500 per player? Funny. In my case it is 5000 per player.

Riven's allows us to circumvent that, by offering those very stats in ONE mod, creating new possibilities, perhaps faster reload, or other QoL mods. Yeah, god forbid equipping a mod that isn't pure damage focused.

If you wanted that, you could have done that even now.

Don't cry from a high horse if you undermine your own point.

i love how every is mad about "broken armor scaling" and every time de does something that might fix it people bash on it do you like being forced to bring 4 cp?

These new mods do nothing about broken armor scaling. They just raise the levels that are acceptable to kill.

Thats the nature of this type of game. Games where there is intense grind and constant updates, it is bound to happen.

Well if you take a look at the traditional Hack and Slash games they offer new Items that will trivialize old content, but they also, at last the succesfull ones, will offer content that will make use of this new power level. We only get stronger, but not the content.

As for suggestions... man... how often did they release something new and got a tremendous backlash? Why cant they simply learn and make such items non-tradable for a few weeks? I admit there is some anger in me yet from a game-design foundation I can't see a fix for something that imho should never have been there. Random Itemization was never a part of warframe, I loved this game for that, and now it is. It is a foreign body that completely goes against what I liked in this game. The only way to fix this would be an introduction of a reliable way to create these mods but that is as likely as them being complete gone.

@AdunSaveMe Saying they need changes is saying you know what needs or doesn't need to be done, and you don't. You have an opinion and a prediction with very little factual information to back up your claims other than "This will be bad because it's a power creep and RNG and now it'll be a meta :(" You know none of that, you can't infer any of that, and it seems more like you want them gone because you can't get them all yourself.

    Seriously?

    To sum these claims up:

Is it power creep? It is, it the potentially most powerful mod ever in warframe. Check.

Is it RNG? It is. Is that good in a game where RNG was never aspect of a certain area? It is, because neither is the game designed for that, nor was it ever part of what the game portrayed outwards. It fundamentally changed itemization. Check.

Will it be Meta? Heck, seems everyone is trying to get some and it WILL grant benefits. Check.

  8. Your argument was about the Believe that the Devs will balance it out... sometime.

My counter argument was that the Devs, to this day, have shown now evidence of being capable to balance the mod system and instead just have released a constant power curve upwards.

Agreed, ran 17 mission before a siphon spawned and it glitched on the 4th braid, no more kuva spawn, so I got nothing.

There are so many possibilities that can go wrong when you get one.

Glitches, Host Migrations etc. are just the most common ones.

Once I got stuck in operation transition mode for it constantly spawned me above a "cliff" and I droped down without a break for the next 5 minutes.

To be fair, doing sorties is what I do in wf nowadays. Im not complaining. I get everything I need from them...however the endo rewards could be gone, we already have ayatans for that and thats assuming you are not already drowning in endo from regular play...

AS of now they could remove pretty much ANYTHING except riven mods on the table.

Even with a daily guaranteed drop It will take me a year to get something remotely useful. I am 25+ Soma Rolls in and nothing remotely worth putting on the gun.
That aside the Riven Mod Trading system is a wet dream for Scammers.

Many people here play WF because they hate BiS maxed stats random rolled equipments from other games. By adding riven mod it urges those people to leave WF as well.

Exaclty. I liked warframe for there were hard maximums stats on each and every mod. They were all the same.

This brought the introduction of RNG based Itemization, something I intentionally avoided with playing Warframe - or so I thought. I do not like where this is going but from this point on I think we can make two predictions:

Damage 3.0 as many here imagined it will never come. The Riven system is the clear and open acceptance of the Nightmare that is the Warframe Mod-System. It is the epitome of all that was and is wrong with Mods. With the introduction of the Riven Mods the Devs told us that they do not care anymore, or maybe they do, yet not in a way that makes even a glimpse of Balance appear on their Radar.

Warframe ultimately went away from the predictable and reliable grind approach where you could invest time, sometimes more or less, yet ultimately were sure that, aside of some legacy mods, you could get "Best-in-Slot" (BiS). I like this feeling of an accomplishment, of saying this build is as perfect as I can imagine it to be now. It is "maxed". With these new mods we have a constant treadmill to run for the potentially better mod. Getting even the right stats on such a mod is a miracle, getting them in a good quantity is just Gods work.

For example, 120 slash + 130 damage would amount to a net 250, and so would 50 zoom + 150 damage + 100% crit change - 50 crit damage. That + having every mod have at least 1 negative stat would be a good start for balancing them.

You'd have to weight each individual point of increased crit chance different than each individual point of percentile damage increase to a degree where the mere act of balancing some random mods would be more effort than balancing ALL the mods we have until now - and that is a task DE not just has failed at but they simply do not even work on it anymore for they cant get it right.

Do you believe they can achieve this? No. It is just like the Akolythe Mods all over again. Extreme Power creep, nobody rely spend more than a thought about, thrown into the game and now that it is there, it will stay here. There is no way they are capable to balance from this on, what makes this even worse are their balance patches regarding Valkyr in the past or the general exclusion of exalted weapons from the Akolyhte mods. It is extremely irritating to see such conflicting and utterly different design-philosophies in the game and one rightfully wonders where this is going to.

I for example did spend money in this game for up until now each mod, each piece of power creep was reliably accessible. It might take some plat or it might take some grind yet ultimately you would have the EXACT same thing that is the current apex of power creep.

With this warframe has become an utterly RNG based hellhole of borderlands and I might be cautions if I spend some future money here.
