Straith's probably even better for this - you can get up to 5 procs on the enemy at a time if you're lucky. If your Zenistar is then set up for two different statuses than your Straith is, it might proc on them and deal even MORE bonus damage.

  2.

Baked the maps, did some initial masking + colors, gonna work on the camo pattern tomorrow. Apologies for the textures, as p3d only allows 1024x1024 jpegs. Green color not final.

The white areas indicate exposed metal.

    It's...beautiful...

Brings a tear to my eye :)

  3. WHAT.

What happened to the Grineer Galatine? And the Talos Volt Helm? How did the CLAYMIRE win?

Actually, did we really need THREE Infested skins winning? Couldn't we have gotten a little variety here? I DID like the Noxious Jat Kittag, but the Infested Skana is basically the Mire, and the Claymire is just...not very good. Especially when compared to the glory that is the Grineer Galatine.

Come ON, DE, I was ready to buy the Grineer Galatine on DAY 1. This thing had better make it into the game later.

  4. Yay finally more Archwing stuff. One of the things I don't think they should change would be Mesa's 4th ability because I think it works fine the way it is right now (But that's just my opinion). And I have a question about the Rhino Temple Guard weapon skin, what weapon will that be for? It looks like it would be a weapon skin for the Jat Kittag or is it for a different weapon?

I think the hammer skin is a broader thing that can be applied to any of the existing hammers (Jat Kittag, Fragor, Magistar). Kinda like the Spearmint Scythe skin can be applied to any of the Scythes (except for the Anku, because it wasn't out at the time).

  5. As someone who has personally made the switch, you do not have to pay the sacrifices again (if you have already paid for them once).

-So in ranking up Arbiters, I let myself get demoted in Perrin from rank 5 to rank 4. The new system means I don't have to make a Mag Prime Helmet or credits to rank back up to 5. You go straight to level 5 (although there's no syndicate sacrifice dialogue just so you know).

    -EDIT:Additional note:

If you hit negative ranks for a syndicate you haven't paid for, you'll have to pay the negative rank cost. So reaching Rank 5 in Steel Meridian, then demoting yourself to Rank -2 means you won't have to pay the Sacrifices for ranks 1 - 5, but you will have to pay the Sacrifices for Ranks -2 and -1 (since you started at neutral with them and didn't pay for -1 and -2).

A lot of threads have been complaining that they leveled up a syndicate, but had to pay for the negative Sacrifices, so I'm hoping to clear that up.

But as VKhaun said, you still need to pay the rep to make the advancement (that much should be obvious).

As far as I can tell, yes.

Thank you for the confirmation, I was hoping that this would be the case :D

Nekros augs/Secura Syandana, here I come!

  6. It's just talking about the item payments for going up ranks.

You will still have to get rep to rank up and you will still lose/gain rep like normal. You just won't have to give them the items over and over again if you keep switching.

That's exactly what I was curious about, actually. I'm fine with earning points back to regain my reputation, I just want to make sure I don't have to keep throwing Formas at them every time I want to swap.

  7. Just wanted to clarify this, since this is the impression I got when I first read this. I'm considering ranking up the other syndicates to get their augments and wanted to clarify this.

From the patch notes for U16:

"Syndicates no longer require multiple sacrifices if players drop from a higher tier to a lower one.  Players will only need to make one sacrifice ever when moving between tiers."

If I'm reading this right, does this mean that I can rank up with the left half of the syndicate board, then the right, pay my negative ranking fee with the left half, and then never have to pay any of the sacrifices again?

  8. I've fallen in love with the Corpus section in particular. Both that fantastic armor set and the laser claws. I WANT BOTH.

Speaking of the laser claws, have you played Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction? They kinda look like the Razor Claws from that game: http://ratchet.wikia.com/wiki/Razor_Claws

Not that I'm complaining, of course :D

  9. Berserk Purity (Venka)

+20 crit chance, counts toward base for the purpose of True Steel (so the Venka would have a base of 35% and a TS-modded chance of 56%)

    +1 Purity

My beloved Venka need a buff, let's see them made a crit weapon.

  10. I keep logging onto Orcus Relay to drop off my syndicate items and earn ducats, and FragorPrime has been there every time that I log onto the relay. I can't find him anywhere, he has no map icon, and he never responds in chat when I try to talk to him. Does anyone know who or what FragorPrime is, and why he seems to be a permanent resident of the Relay?

  11. If you saw the Tombs of the Sentient teaser, Mirage puts her Tigris on the secondary position. I doubt it's hinting at an intended feature but rather just an oversight by the animators. Would be interesting to see, but it would just make the clipping worse in most cases.

Might actually be a reference to a new gun - datamining has indicated that a sawed-off Tigris secondary may be in the works.

  12. I see no point in making these tradeable. They are meant to show allegiance, and should stay that way.

Besides, no one really got screwed over here. They're all pretty cool looking, if they're what you're into.

Granted, all I've got is Suda right now, and Suda's syandana is mildly disappointing because of glow activation alone (Scanning? Really?), but it's not a deal breaker, and eventually I'll have Meridian and Hexis too. I'm not all that fond of the other half's syandanas anyways. Especially RV's, as it seems contradictory. Why would you want it to glow stronger with STEALTH KILLS? Wouldn't that get you seen?

I do have to admit, though, PS's syandana is freaking hilarious. "I'M RICH!!!", I imagine the Tenno crying out in joy, as his Secura Syandana glows brighter than ever before. Beautiful image :D

  13. SHADOW OF THE DEAD IS A BAD BAD BAD ABILITY!!!

When will this ability be finally looked at as anti-tenno, anti-squad, anti-strategy.

Having multiple NPC's in the battle doesn't make them being good or worth, just like all of the useless specter features.

    More NPCs (the shadows) means:

    - more mess and confusion on the battle for the tenno

    - shadows blocking passages and escape routs.

    - shadows in defense block the view of the pod, block the access to pod, when this is getting attacked.

    - they get in front of the players view blocking the shots; it works both ways ppl, they not only are bullet sponges for the enemy but also for our shots too.

    - they usually are useless AI wise, and also in damage, I don't think this buff will do much of a change.

    - to call this ability an ultimate is pretty bad, since terrify is 100 times better as an ultimate ability, then shadows.

To make shadow of the dead, an actual useful ability, or worthy of being an ultimate, it needs changes, real ones.

Like perhaps reducing the shadows to only 3 or 5, but each actually is strong, powerful, and reliable.

Or to change the way it works, only because it was thought up as an ability, doesn't mean it is actually tactically beneficial.

And besides limbo idiotic abilities, I consider this shadow ability as being the worse ability in all the game, cause it will work against the players, as I have seen so many times, the nekros die, or the team die, or the mission failing, because shadows were summoned.

Whoa, take it easy! And please do a better job of explaining how SotD is a bad ability post-buff and/or how it needs to be changed or replaced, especially when you claim TERRIFY would be a better ult. Granted, sometimes they get in the way, but I rarely have issues with that, and DE is addressing that anyways with the ability to walk and shoot through Shadows.

Personally, I have more isssues with the Shadows habitually wandering away from the place I summoned them at, or not following enemies to the new combat areas in modes like Survival. Mod for Duration, and they usually stay way too far away from combat to be of any use.

Along those thoughts, I have a suggestion for another addition to Shadows of the Dead: Shadows summoned will follow Nekros around when not actively fighting enemies, similar to Kubrow and Specters. Might make the ability a bit more useful for run-and-gun gameplay if the Shadows stay near Nekros and continue to provide cover fire for him. As is, the buffed ability will probably be great for Defense missions, should be fun to play around with :D

Oh, and Limbo has his place too. Have you seen Cataclysm in Defense missions? He does a better job of defending the point than Frost does, and Frost is the definitive Defense frame :D

  14. This was an idea I had a while back and started writing up, it came back to me when I was playing Wyrmius earlier.

There should be either a room or a set of decorations for the Dojo where you can play the assorted minigames and tests that players can access throughout the game.

-Grineer Lock - A Grineer-styled lock panel. Use it to generate and play a Grineer lockout mechanism to test your reflexes.

-Corpus Lock - A corpus-styled lock panel. Use it to generate and play a Corpus lockout mechanism to test your intelligence.

-Flappy Zephyr Machine - An arcade-style console that starts and opens Flappy Zephyr.

-Wyrmius Machine - An arcade-style console that starts and opens Wyrmius.

-Mastery Test Room - A side room with a Tenno-styled activation panel. Use it to retake any Mastery test that you've completed in the past, for entertainment. This room would also include dojo access to the loadout menu.

-Enemy Testing Room - A side room with an Orokin-styled activation panel. Use it to spawn an assortment of holographic enemies into the room. You can set their numbers and levels, and test weapons and builds against them. This room would also include dojo access to the loadout menu.

    What do you guys think?
