  1. The grendel missions are doable, but not really fun. They act like a gear check for weapons and frames, and while hard, aren't fun. Allowing at least one of our items to once again be modded, say, every 5th wave, might be more fun, and still difficult.

DE have stated as much in a few interviews. Rebecca has confirm this on at least one occasion:

Additionally, there is a written statement here:

in which they specifically say that the items will not be available again

Comments on the founders pack by DE:

While I appreciate the attempt to clarity, nothing you've shown me is new, nor is it a contract.

The first is a fan asking her at tennocon, not an interview, where she says "we have no plans" and specifies "for now," not a contract, and her personal understanding. She specifies "guarded language, because they may bring it back, but my understanding is it's never coming back" in reference to the founders' program. Not a contract. At all.

The second is a "page not found" and the third is a screenshot of a facebook post, which is not a contract. The last video talks about it raising money like a kickstarter and barely touches on exclusivity at all.

Nothing you have shown me is a contract. It is advertising or personal statements specifically stated as Rebecca's personal understanding of the founder's pack where she even says they may, but as far as she knows, they have no plans to. None of that is a binding contract, and that's what I'm saying.

  3. I feel that at the time of its creation, it was a good way to sort of crowdfund the game. However, at present time, I feel that the exclusivity of Excalibur, Lato, and Skana Prime are no longer a good thing. The justification for it gets thinner every new update. People claim there's a contract and can't prove its existence, people claim it's false advertising despite the Statute of Limitations for it having passed even in the UK, people claim they spent money on it despite not having close to a monopoly on spending, people say it's a trophy and thus unimportant, and yet it has tangible game benefits for mastery. It keeps going on like this. The program and its exclusivity have outlived its purpose, the title and decoration it provides plus being listed in all relays is frankly notable enough.

    One word summary: Outdated.

  4. So I've popped a forma into Khora, and this is what I have for thoughts:

    The good:

    • Venari's attack mode does a lot of damage.
    • Strangledome has solid CC ability on chokepoints.

    The bad:

    • Venari does her own thing, she tends to travel pretty far out. Venari being a permanent summon and having a fixed range would be a good fix for that. Making Venari targetable would be awesome.
    • Healing and defense mode aren't really worth the time. Venari should be able to provide more buffs to allies in defense mode, and have either passive health increase or radial lifesteal for healing.
    • Strangledome has a very long cast time and not a lot of duration, base range, or damage. Strangledome needs some damage, range, and duration increase.
    • Strangledome doesn't have much of an identity to it for "Khora summons a dome of living chain," and just needs a bit more... I want to say pizzaz. Some visual changes, have them lash out more, like tendrils? Make the chains thicker and barbed/hooked? When I think dome of living chain, I think That Scene from Hellraiser or Silent Hill. You know the ones. The suggestion folks had of making its effects correspond to what mode Venari is in is pretty cool. It gives it synergy. It could do lifesteal in healing mode, provide armor boosts to allies for enemies killed in defense, and just do more damage in attack. Have it ensnare surviving enemies?

    The ugly:

    • Whipclaw's targeting and casting speed. It's not deciding between AoE on point and hitscan, which for a radial attack is very imprecise. This is a shame, because it's a powerful ability when it works. This is an easy fix of having it be more precise and faster.
    • Ensnare is slow to propagate, its duration seems very unstable, and it's redundant to Khora's 4. It should have an immediate CC, more damage, and synergize with strangledome in some way. Compared with Nidus's larvae, it just lacks... well, usefulness. If ensnare instead did radial damage of some kind, or worked as a Venari lure. As a thought, it could be cast on allies for extra damage in attack, armor in defense, or lifesteal in healing.
  5. So this seems like it should be a bug, or a massive oversight, because apparently someone joined an eidolon hunt (all three) having no operator. They never did The War Within, and... somehow this was not a barrier to doing a bounty that requires the operator mode to complete.

Is this intentional, or just a lack of content gating? Because it's a mission that only happens at certain times of day, and as much as I like helping new players, that's not something any amount of help can fix. Please fix this?

  6. I'm normally very okay with warframe Grind. At MR 24 I kind of have to be. Having gotten all the Kuria, I REALLY have to be. But sweet jesus, this is past what I'm willing to deal with. I have the weapons. I have about 8 sets of "hunter" mods. I have more relics than I will ever want or need, each of them received with the same level of, uh, "joy" that I used to feel when I got chick tracts and raisins while trick-or-treating. I have gotten enough endo to supply woodstock a thousand times over. All I really want/need at this level is lore, but there's only so much I'm willing to do here. Please tell me you have something to fix it. I'm begging you.

  7. I have to agree with the complaints about the Ogma. It's a highly maneuverable enemy with a very powerful AOE attack, with a pretty surprising range and duration. weak points on it require you to be in a good spot and vulnerable to its attack run, and shooting its weapons is a coin toss in terms of success rate. While it's true certain builds are awesome for dealing with it (e.g. Ice Chroma), it's not exactly a well-designed enemy if the only solution to fighting it is to use one of four pre-approved builds. DE reducing its health was a great first step, but between the enemies spawning with it, its very unusual speed/maneuverability (seriously, I never saw it move like that in freespace missions), and the fact that it can and will follow you across the map, it needs some tweaking.
