  1. I can't just keep pushing the top tier of weapons. Not all players are maxed out and this is CB. We need to make sure we have a nice gradiant of weapons as the player progress through the content.

We will be adding to all tiers of weapons as the game grows and matures, not just the top tier.

Yeah that's very true, I guess I was just thinking selfishly for a moment there. I do agree though that I'd love a base assault rifle for top tier, or a top tier burst rifle at some point soon. I have a Gorgon at 25, the only reason is because it was the most powerful thing spitting rifle bullets. I don't even use it anymore since I've decided to use other primary weapons and will probably end up selling it.

  2. but Braton - an automatic rifle, and the Gorgon - a machine gun. A different type of weapon, the other mechanics of shooting.

They're very very similar and one is by far more powerful than the other. A midpoint is pretty good and all but honestly I feel new weapons like this should stay on par with the top tier things. There should not be this mindset of "This gun should be better than these other ones." Not in my opinion.

  3. What's the logic behind nerfing Boltor? "We don't want you to use any weapons that aren't the Gorgon or Hek"?

The boltor was very powerful before but this nerf is a bit much.

This nerf to Boltor is terrible

I personally don't own a Boltor but I'd like to mention something I saw for the last few days that bothered me a bit. I was doing some Phorid runs on Naeglar, trying to get the Nyx blueprints. A random person joined me around mid-fight with him which...as we all know is a lot of running in circles. I had been going around him for about 2-3 minutes and had him down to half with my Strun that puts out really good damage as it has a good chunk of multishot and some decent fire-rate mods. Anyways the random person joins, loads in. Looks around for a moment. Fires at Phorid with his Boltor for all of one and a half seconds. Phorid's health DROPPED from halfway to dead almost instantly. I'm assuming THIS is why the weapon got such a severe nerf.

It's not just bosses either. I've watched people drop entire squads/platoons of enemies with this thing by simply running at them with their trigger held. It was pretty ridiculous.

Either way as they said this is an ongoing project, it might experience rebuffing later on to give a bit of it's original power. I can't say this wasn't an overreaction/overnerf, however I can definitely say I agree and I expected it. Anyone that could waltz through the hardest areas in the game with the thing should have, so seriously you shouldn't be surprised or confused by it's nerf. Upset at HOW nerfed it was, I understand perfectly. Surprised? No.

any news about the skana prime missing effects (fire and ice)?

I'd also really like them to look into the Bo staff missing any elemental properties. It gets no effects on it at all from any of the mods. Still does the damage, just no effects.

Nerf bat swung alittle hard guys. Thanks for all the feedback. Next hotfix will bring a buff.

It needed a nerf(just not that hard)... our internal stats show it out pacing the best weapons in the game.(Hek and Gorgon)

The Boltor was ment to fall somewhere between the Braton and the Gorgon.

I don't really have anything to say in response to this, I just wanted to be sure it was on the new page since I posted at the same time as you, so people can see it.

The boltor is officially the most useless rifle there is, it and the MK.1 Braton are duking it out for crappiest ammo dump.

Have you even TRIED the Burston?

  4. For the record, it requires payment to get a game greenlit. Anyone can check under the community page, but not everyone can actually put it on the platform. It would have to be someone either working in DE or with the express permission from DE to do so. I would offer to do so out of my own pocket, but I think it would be much better for someone that works in the company to do so if anything. Not to mention the fact I don't have enough money to be able to shell out that much for something related to a video game.

That's what I've noticed, now that we have the facts on the table maybe things will get a little further here.

  5. Enough said. I've played with my friends who are using Rhino and Trinity, and a couple of sprint speed mods solved the problem.

No it doesnt, because if a faster frame is on the team with them (Say Ember, or Loki) and they have the same amount equipped they're still going to leave you in the dust. Nothing that is said here changes the fact that this is a cooperative game where you're meant to team up with others that you're in a game with. You can't do that if you can't keep up with them.

    Trinity is slow, bro.

Sorry about that, you're right. I've only played her once and I thought she was slower than the others due to the lack of sprint speed mods, after testing it out I realized no, she's actually just $&*&*#(%&ly slow. This doesn't make ANY sense for her, in my opinion it makes even less than with the tougher frames, not that I agree they should be slow either. A support is meant to be there with the group just as much as a tank is. If she's not there during the main part of combat then Trinity's entire ability set is going to waste. Sure she can solo pretty easy if built properly but she should not have to. If you bought her you either live in Maine or you like supporting. Warframes, PLS.

  6. Since this is a ''market'' related post ( or the most similar i have found).

Is there any one else other than me who thinks that there should be a market 'between' players, making something like a soulbound system like in guild wars. I mean you can trade item that you find around but not the ones that you have equipped same for the mods, since there the ingame market do not sell the materials why not the player sell the material that they have in exess, making some sort of auction house, or enebling the trade between tow players, for example i have, 10 sensor modules but i dont need them and my friend needs them to craft an item but he cannot find it so i can give some to him. It's true that some might play only to farm these materials, but in my opinion there should be a trade system between players, where you cannot sell items bought with platinum or pre-equipped items but you can sell every thing you dont need to a higher price that you would get by selling them to the normal ingame market.

No selling. Selling involves currency. Currency is your sort of curve at the beginning of the game. "Man I want that Snipetron gun, but don't have enough." or whatever. However I do think TRADING would be awesome. Trading of mods, trading of blueprints, and trading of materials. That's it. No weapons, no warframes, no helmets or skins. Just the blueprints for them. In this manner the people with excess could trade it to those that need it, or hoard it for themselves. In which case it would be no different for them than it is now, except they'd be doing it optionally.

Aside from that, the point of this thread was based on the cash shop, not the market. Perhaps you should start up another thread, or check out one of the many others of exactly that kind of topic that I'm sure exist.

  7. I really agree with the OP. There is no point in seperating the team any more than necessary for a challenge (Like when there's a lockdown that splits the team up.) in a cooperative game. If this had some sort of PVP I could understand the speed nerfs, but it really doesn't. The speed never needed to be balanced in my personal opinion, as it was great where it was.

All that said I'd like to state that I don't play a slower frame. I don't even have one. I have Mag, Trinity, Ember, and Loki. I would be perfectly alright with losing any "advantage" I have over players that use Rhino or such as long as it means we'll have more fun because we're actually grouping instead of "Hold on, the Rhino is still half the map back."

  8. I'd actually have to go with 1, I currently have no problem with energy 90% of the time. There are times of course when I get into a drought, but that's why I have Energy Siphon equipped. Always. Course maybe this would give me a reason to equip a different artifact, but still my answer is 1. I can't see how having more Volts running in and hitting 4 to kill your entire room would make the game any more fun.

  9. OP I just wanted to let you know I agree with every single point you've brought up. Even your ideas are practically perfect. (Okay nothing is perfect, but they would be major improvements.) I'm really hoping this gets the attention it deserves.

ONE tiny point that I would like to maybe add here even though it's a mix of cash shop and in game currency...perhaps a gambling system. One that can take platinum OR credits. There are so many things I can think of but no matter how you spin it it would boil down to the same thing. A way to gamble for high end stuff like catalysts or special warframe skins (We know they're coming) that also lets us spend our excess credits. I personally like the "Grab bag" or "Lottery" system, where you always win a prize but some prizes are a bit less fantastic than others.

Obviously the rolls on this would be expensive creditwise while they'd remain pretty cheap plat-wise. Perhaps 7 - 15 platinum per attempt (this would equate to a range of 50 cents to a dollar per attempt) and maybe 15k - 30k credits per attempt. Obviously the costs could be tweaked a bit but personally I don't think it should cost you that much to roll with real money. Anyways, that's my idea, but I also really wanted to reply to one statement that bugged me.

Oh, come on. These a big evil companies.... they dont care about that and any argument based on that isnt going to change anything.

So according to you DE is a big evil company? I honestly can't see a way that's true. It's a company taking a lot of risk and wanting to make sure they keep their profit margin sure, but it's not big (In the way that one imagines a "big" company in the video game industry nowadays) and it's definitely not evil. Evil would have put in an energy system that only allows us to do 10 maps a day or buy recharges with cash.

  10. Lately I still get this bug removing my head. Most of the times the colors are fine, but one thing I have notices is that if your head is loaded and you zoom in with Snipetron sometimes it will remove your head. After moving around for a bit your head is returned. Not sure why, just thought I'd add this to the list of oddities surrounding Ember.
