  1. Saryn's abilities in my opinion:

    1) just as useful as any other #1 ability. No major changes needed. I use it to mark opponants so i can target them easier with my gun.

    2) molt is great. No change. Its enough for her to escape and shed procs. Awesome.

    3) if it was deactivated, and acted as a placebo button, would anyone notice? Lol. It needs rework. Perhaps instead of a duration, make it a one hitter. Ie 'the next melee attack does 100% extra dmg and 100% proc. One use per cast. So its costly, but it can deliver when you need it...just a suggestion to add to the pile.

    4) works great. I like the idea of a lingering gas cloud though. Time to spread and stay. So if others walk into the cloud before the ticks stop, they get struck for the remainder of the ticks too.

  2. I think adding a mod slot for augments is power creep. However you feel about that. I also think the bandaid mods show which frame's abilities need rework. And the other mods are good enough to force us to change the way we think about our play style. In this case, its a lateral move, not a nerf. In any case, they all need to be looked at, now that theyve seen real playtime.

  3. Yeah, endless missions seem to be the unbalance. With infinite scaleing, some frame abilities will hold up and most will drop off. Perhaps if DE capped the endless missions at X min and X rounds, then there will be a "frame of reference" to create a fun and powerful tenno without such bias in top tiers. And to keep the challenge, dont just let units scale up, change the spawn rate of powerful units and add interesting utility units. We kind of see this evolution in mid teir survival/defence, but then it just gets repetitive. Would it help to truncate that repetition? Sadly, the marathoners would have to keep restarting their mission after, say 2ish hours...but is that a horrible trade-off?

im sure this is not a novel suggestion to counter the nerfers, but id like to know how each side feels about it. (Or point us to the other thread that does). Because it is painfully obvious that there is a problem, and nerfs are not the only answer.

  4. Hmm...not necessarily. Think of Nova's AmD. Its fly-by-wire and she can still move freely. (Although, its hilariously hard to move and steer at the same time). Anyway, it was a silly idea to begin with so i wont defend it anymore, and im out of ideas for now. I just hope that Frost gets some love soon.

  5. Haha ok, so lets just go crazy and make ice wave like a doodle pad: as long as youre holding down the "2 power" button, the wave effects a 0.5x0.5 meter area that your aiming at. Its restricted to the floor and within its current radius. Now frost can DoT a big baddie or draw lines of defense across the ground lol. Im sure that would be exploited quick, but hell, it would be fun haha! -especially with the augment.

  6. Yeah, the idea wasnt thought all the way through. Im just spit balling so i leave the details to the imagination. Think of it like a very violent snow blower lol. In game terms, it could act similar to a cold version of the ignis?...

  7. MP is pretty badass. But so is any ult power. I think thats the idea behind being 'badass space ninjas'. I dont see any reason for turning her ult into a suicide button. I doubt anyone would want to play her. But i can see tweaking the power in some way. (no frame is perfect, right?). Perhaps reduce the duration of the debuffs?

IMO, it seems like MP is OP until she catches a rocket from a T4 bombard. He may be slow and take double dmg, but it doesnt protect her from that rocket. Thats the challenge in playing her, and thats why she is considered a 'glass cannon'.

If you are bored with a maxed out frame, then it is time to work on a new frame. That is how the game works.

  8. I like where these ideas are going, and i generally agree with them.

I think a fun and useful change to icewave would be to make it toggle or hold. so it would act like a continuous beam and possibly can be swept back and forth. (The animation and "behind the scenes teaks" would have to adapt accordingly of course) -or just make the wave wider, as suggested before. currently, it seems to act like a cc without being able to cover much ground as a cc should. that alone would make Frost a more aggressive frame. And even if the dmg caps out, the procs could still be useful in higher tiers.

As for avalanche, Id like to see a knockdown proc too. I mean, a ton of snow and ice just dropped on everyone's heads...

  9. chose to play the prolog to see how it is. I like it. now for the bug(?):

Im on vor's prize quest, 'Obtain the Mercury Nav Segment'. It prompts me to start the quest but there is no icon in the navigator and no mission on Earth or any planet for that quest. Is this an actual bug or am i just missing the obvious? Everything else is looking great so far.

    thanks DE
