  1. ai was watered down a bit..noticed , easy to tweak

Yeah... kind of dumb as a post right now. Might be something to do with being inactive until *you* (the player) attacks something. In any event, a properly fully active A.I. is needed, not this wandering idiot behaviour.

  2. Either that or they explode after a certain point, causing massive damage to all enemies within a certain range.

Nope. The 'explody guys' also often just wander about, like lost souls. Pre-V11, when these guys exploded (during an actual honest-to-God attack!...), you`d notice the carnage. Now I`m lucky if a single enemy goes down because of my horde. Not the way that ability is supposed to operate. Sucks.

Guess I put Nekros in mothballs until this gets fixed/reverted. Before U11 the Shadows ability worked... it was actually, in certain circumstances, on par with every other Warframe`s abilities. Not anymore. No longer fun.

  3. Yeah, Nekros` Shadows ability definitely seems gibbled. To be precise, it sure would be nice if all the spectral buddies would actually - you know - *attack* stuff.

  4. Hmmm.

I used to rely quite heavily and reliably on melee weapons versus low and mid-level Infested or Corpus. Especially the two-handed weapons; almost all weaponry had some degree of stunning/interrupt capability. Now... there seems not to be such. And I rarely notice elemental effects. I wonder if such effects are worth the devotion of a slot to boosting such chances of.

The combat is certainly more difficult now. Not that it needed to be. And - at least until perhaps I clue into something (?) seemingly less fun. Defense and Mobile Defense missions of mid-level or higher might be nigh unto impossible. Have to see. Hmmm.

And I think I hate the 'mob screen-shaking', as they melee. Seems like a player-competence-disabler.

  5. Not my experience: prior to the Berserker/Valkyr update, the specters from Shadows Of The Dead were *very* aggressive towards any enemy in their sight, and would reliably take down many. That no longer seems to be the case.

The Nekros #4 ability should not merely be a "decoy" ability... had I wanted that, I`d play my Loki. Shadows should act as they did before, and actually *DO* something. Anything less is unfair to the Nekros and to Nekros players, given how properly useful everyone else`s #4 abilities are.

More testing ensuing. Be nice if the hotfix addressed this, despite the lack of mention of such in the notes.

  6. Okay, the A.I. for the spectral entities created by Shadows Of The Dead now seems alot more... inert than it previously was. Did the A.I. get gibbled?

Before when I summoned these entities, they actually **attacked** foes. Now they just seem to do alot of milling about, occassionally attacking foes but generally just providing 'X' seconds of damage absorption, which sucks.

Shadows Of The Dead was great before. Please return to the before.

  7. A cohort tried to upgrade Flechette on his Hek Shotgun. He received the message that doing so would exceed the capacity of the Boar. So he tried both (!) removing the Flechette from the Boar, and utilizing a different Flechette module in his Hek. One then the other.

    Same message.

It refuses to allow him to upgrade that module.

Maybe something related to the retiring of the Boar?

  8. Please distinguish actual friendly player blips from mere friendly A.I. entity blips on the radar/map. Often, in circumstances of war or with summoned entities, it is extremely difficult to find & follow (i.e. coordinate) with other players.

Blips for merely friendly A.I. units should be something other than green dots.

  9. This is frustrating.

I have many weapons and many Warfames. Sometimes after I have maxxed out the level of something, I will remove the rarer modules from it. The idea is that these modules are now available for use in other equipment.

At the moment there is no identification of modules that are currently equipped on stuff, and what that stuff happens to be. When I scroll through my list of mods, I have **NO** idea which bloody mods are "free" and which are not. Consequently I wind up equipping mods which I *think* are unused, only to discover after upgrading them some - at cost in finite Fusion Cores and Credits - that they indeed are in use, and cannot be upgraded any further.

The consequence is often that I have therefore wasted my Credits and Fusion Cores on modules that I cannot upgrade beyond the limits of some other piece of equipment.

Stop making module-equipping a chore, please. Give me the information I need to identify these modules as 'in-use' or 'available'. Thank you.

  10. I agree in principle with the OP, but disagree in particulars.

As for 'Auto-Reload' mechanisms, I`ve always hated them. They sound okay, but in my experience you end up focussing on the timing of your reload click instead of on the enemies, the environment, and the situation. Not to mention you generally mis-click and F-up the reload. I wound up never liking this trait in Gears Of War, and I`d similarly dislike it in Warframe.

  11. I doubt I can ever abandon my default 'cathedral hood' Nekros helmet, but all the same I`d love to fiddle with the new one. Personally, I actually never cared for the Raknis helmet, whereas both of these new ones look good. Onion comparisons (!) with Nova acknowledged yet notwithstanding.

I would hope that DE at some point take the most straightforward route possible with all helmets, and simply deactivate/eliminate all statistic bonuses/penalties for them. After doing this, perhaps there might be room for some sort of expansion of powers associated with helmets... something new to the arsenal (i.e. equippable bundles of stat. bonuses, independent of equipment type or something similarly player controllable).

As for the updates themselves, I WISH other companies would be as industrious as Digital Extremes is with Warframe. I`ve said it before and I`ll repeat it aloud ad nauseam - here`s lookin` at you, Overkill/505/Starbreeze and the supposed Crime.net (on Payday 2).

  12. Also just encountered this fog problem in multiple runs. Died a few times because of it. A fog effect (sometimes!) in the lower tunnels seems apt & atmospheric, but this must be a bug... way too thick. Barely able to see any enemy directly in front of me. Or a wall for that matter.

  13. DE, please introduce/maintain some type of module indicator that denotes whether or not modules are in-use, and by what, including multiple instances of usage. Such should be obvious from simply viewing them in the module list.

There are modules I have upgraded and stripped from some weapons, but I have so many I cannot sift through them all to detect them. More importantly, we need a sane way to discern modules that are associated from those that are unassociated and (arguably) available. We have a real pain in the &#! otherwise.

  14. Didn't we allready had this thread some weeks ago?

    Possibly. Worth repeating though.

Technocyte worshippers. Interesting. Orokin? I`d be loathe to introduce Orokin to the universe in anything but a remarkably singular frequency of great fanfare... I think the Orokin should probably stay extinct for the sake of the Lore entire.

I know DE have confirmed in the past work on new systems. Be nice to get an update on such.

  15. During the Russian Civil War, there were not only the Red and White armies, but also the Green Army- a coalition of farmers who just wanted to protect their land from being used as a battlefield.

With the recent talk about civilians and non-aligned people existing in the Warframe universe, perhaps a Green army equivalent could work- imagine going through a mission and running into a group of allied NPCs who would help you fight off the invading Grineer/Corpus/Infested.

That has potential. I recall the role of the Imperial Guard in some aspects of the 40K universe. Primarily however I`d really like to see a new opponent set, with a different cadre of troops & machines/creatures. Perhaps allies of the Grineer Empire? What could they possibly be, such that they would ally themselves with the Empire? A totally independent faction would likely be the priority, though.

It just feels like a good time for new factional blood.

  16. In a different thread I read info on how the Shadows ability actually currently works... which is superior to my suggestion. Yay! No problem then.

I think I would agree on Desecrate - it *would* be good to see Nanite "flies" swarm out and hover around to 'process bodies' and perhaps offer a cloud-oriented effect to the enemy living. (a cloud of digital bits merely suggestive of flies)  Right now it seems too difficult to time... too much of a challenge to use this ability properly.

  17. Hell yeah

    But without Syandana now :|

Cool! And Russian too! Bear power. I`ve always liked the look of Cyrilic (?) script. I went with black (I must!!!) with white trim, rich blue energy.

  18. The designer of the Nekros with its Syandana equipment ought to receive an award for superlative design: at least in the colours I am using, he reminds me of some wraith out of Night On Bald Mountain, running across rooftops amidst other ghouls and spirits. Awesome stuff.

  19. Shadows has two queues. One is your own, which gets filled as you kill people. From here you draw the shades for SotD. The second queue is your shadows'. Whenever they kill somebody, it gets added to the queue. The shadows' queue feeds your personal queue when SotD ends.

If neither you nor your shadows kill anybody, you're SoL either way.

All this info's in the wiki, I believe.

Roger that. Thanks again for the info.
