  1. Today alone I've had five separate instances of not getting enough reactant to crack open my relic from exterminate fissures. Three of these four instances I was in it since the beginning, and the fourth instance I joined late, but in each instance, no one found enough reactant to do anything about it.

They're quick and easy when they work right, but what's up with not dropping enough to get the relics open? We don't even get traces when that happens, and that's just a huge waste of everyone's time.

It would be a bit lore-breaking, and it would mean that weapon could never get a prime which would suck

The comfort in knowing a weapon wouldn't get primed is that, if it's something you fancy, you can forma it to no end without worrying about how the Prime upgrade would look. Though, that's slightly off-topic, so I won't keep on that.

I see no reason to really argue against a base Reaper or base Dakra, to be honest. Variety is a pretty wonderful thing, and simply expanding upon that variety can't really be bad.

Um, well, nowhere does it say that the Boar Prime is related to the Boar.

That's different. You're doing a comparison like Tigris P and Sancti Tigris, saying Sancti is the non-prime version. While true, it's pointless to say, considering it's a variant.

I can sort of agree about Reaper needing a non-prime variant, but if Cronus = Dakra then I don't think that one's necessary. Buffs/model reworks would be nice, as well.

  4. Below is my 0-forma Dread build. I want to put a forma into it, but before I do, I want to know what I can do to really maximize it for endgame utility. (I'm well aware there isn't much "endgame" at the moment, but you should know what I mean). Are there mods I should add/remove? Mods I should consider finding to put on? Please let me know what improvements I can make to make my Dread the best it can be. If possible, please provide a screenshot of the build as well so I can see what your stats end up at. Thanks!

Stop nerfing.  If it is in the game, it should stay that way.  Too many warframes and weapons have been granted obsolescence by the nerf bat.  Players have not been remunerated for their lost investments.  Yes, it's a game, but many people spent days working on modifying and levelling items and spending real currency too forma their items only to have them made useless by developers who changed their minds or were influenced by the salty community.

Add some type of attribute to cosmetic armor.  Even if it's +1 armor or +1 health.

Both of these are ridiculous. I get why people don't want nerfs, and how some nerfs can be stupidly bad, but they are for overall BALANCE and to make other options viable. That's the point.

Also, cosmetics don't need to have any gameplay bonuses. The fact that they don't is why I purchase them - I don't need to worry about what aesthetic gives what bonus and sacrifice personal appeal for certain stat advantages. Not to mention, this would require DE to make EVERY cosmetic have an obtainable blueprint to keep their "f2p in every way" thing.

Also I'm both solo and with a group. I may be confused with how affinity is devided between frame and weapons. I was informed that a max rank weapon will still stuck up affinity, lessening the amount that other lower ranked items receive. When I do Spy missions solo I make sure to only bring two weapons, the one I'm leveling and one to defend myself from Stalker/G3/Zanuka.

Affinity gained from the use of a weapon affects only that weapon and the warframe when playing solo. Affinity gained from objectives (nabbing spy terminals, or getting points during interception) and ally kills get spread out among your entire kit.

  7. 5 minutes ago, Chocomouse said:

Oh wait, leveling with only two weapons because of how affinity is spread out between items and Warframe even though said weapons are max rank and shouldn't be eating up affinity anymore.

If you're solo-leveling affinity only goes to what you are using, so if you take a max level weapon along with you just for such an occasion but ONLY use it in that event, you will have an easier time farming in the event the stalker arrives.

Back on topic, it probably is an oversight and it couldn't hurt to see some consoles added into the Void aside from the one at the start of any survival.

  8. One big problem is that the community is always split. Polls will either end in 50/50 results or with terrible balancing after the fact.

Because the community would never agree to nerf something. Most of the people don't care and there's a vocal minority for everything. I just wish they had an alpha for real players to play test the nerfs first so that community input wasn't after the fact

    I second this.

...I'm sorry, what? How on earth does that make any sense? If you're crafting it in the first place, you need only wait. No platinum necessary. Using resources that need not be used is never the more cost-efficient method.

Everything required to build mutagen mass/detonite injector/fieldron/forma is relatively easy to farm. In six days of play time I have enough resources to build hundreds of each and still have plenty to burn. I would much rather get one cooking in the oven and rush it for half the market cost - or less, depending on what I'm building - than wait if I'm restricted in time.

There is a reason people rush things. And if it costs more to rush than it does to buy the item from the market, then there is a genuine issue.

Not sure if you are joking but the Tonkor is as precise as you are.

even on range 100 you can hit precisely on the head.
maybe you guy shave very bad internet issues.

Sometimes it is, sometimes it's not.

I froze an ancient, aimed at his chest, fired, and watched my grenades go through him. Other times, I'll aim at a wall and end up killing everything in the room. My internet is pretty damn good, and the Tonkor is the only  weapon I've had this issue with.

I have experienced similar issues with Tonkor's grenades simply phasing through enemies.

Good(?) to know. I was figuring that with the amount of love it gets, maybe I was glitched for a round or two. But I've been experiencing this in every run I've done for a few hours, now, and that's kind of a problem.

    wat?

    learn2aim =P

    launchers are different

If I have a group of like eight chargers that are literally in a blob together and I shoot them when they are maybe 3-4m in front of me and still cannot hit a single one, I don't think "git gud" is the fix.

  13. To preface this, let me say hitboxes in Warframe can be wonky at times, for better or for worse. I've gotten "headshots" while shooting people in the stomach with my Soma Prime - stuff happens, but in that case it's kinda good so we don't really report it. And I know Tonkor is a weapon that gets a LOT of love so I figure people don't have many issues with it typically, but I've got one, and that would be how... odd, its hitboxes can be.

I can literally fire into a compact group of chargers and miss every single one somehow, and watch as my grenades fly through them and bounce around to explode on nothingness behind them. Why this.

  14. That is particularly interesting, something I never noticed since all of mine are from invasions or the market.

I know for Forma, at least, the rush cost = half the purchase cost, so that's... interesting.

    Just now, Camelslayer said:

Not sure why you'd rush in the first place, it's a waste of platinum.

This does nothing to contribute to the thread. Sometimes crafting+rushing is more cost-efficient than outright purchases, so it isn't an objective waste.

When playing Defense or MD, consider constantly hopping up and down like a hyper-active kid even when you don't seem to have any reason to.

Doing so actually saved my arse more times than I care to remember since it throws off enemy aim quite a bit.

I either hop around instinctively or find cover and crouch, both of which I did during this MD and I was downed doing both.

I would like to ask you if you know what a leech from a leech osprey looks like.  Sometimes they are hard to tell if they are on you when you're moving around.  That might explain the 'Dot' of it.  Other than that, attack drones shoot from very far away, and as other said railguns will likely just one shot you if they do hit.

Might be a combo of different things.  If your sortie was like mine though there was the 3 scaffolds over a pit tile that had two defense consoles, meaning that there was one side of the defense console where enemies could indeed see and shoot at you from a great distance.

If it's a DoT then that must be the leech osprey, iirc it's the only thing that deals DoT with the corpus.

Also, the sortie was physical dmg reduction right? In these conditions the enemies also get a dmg buff to a physical element like puncture and impact...I can't login but were the enemy doing increased slash dmg? That's like the biggest reason of insta-kill with DoT

I do know what leech ospreys look like and there were none nearby. Rolling/melee did nothing to stop the DOT, either, so if it they were hitting me, something else still was.

I don't remember the sortie condition but I don't recall ever seeing slash procs being up, because it shows you when they are. No enemies ever hit us, just a very constant DOT that left no indicator of what it was.

Railgun MOA's sounds plausible. Lv100 Railgun MOA deals hilarious Damage. even fairly low Level ones do actually - but normally Players are moving around a lot so Railgun MOA's do basically nothing.

because they're only good at hitting non-moving targets.

so what sorts of Damage Reduction did your Squad have present? if you were all being protected by Damage Reduction Abilities - then bunches of Railgun MOA's sounds very plausible!

No damage reduction was up that I'm aware of, just tons of CC in stupidly large bastilles and slova spam. If the railgun moas were indeed the issue, well, it does look like there's another Scorch-esque problem that would need tending to.
