warframe is not the only game with rng. basically every game where u have droptables on enemies like path of exile for example or mmorpgs in general have this issue where ur either lucky or u wasted some hours. if u play exclusively for rewards one could ask u why...because the essence of playing a game should be >>>FUN<<<. yes sure u want some type of progress and reward, but on the counterside many games who have kind of weakened the RNG issue reward some kind of token or similar, which can then be traded over into what u actually want and for the most part these "tokens" or whatever its called in detail are not reward in too big amounts. u will "waste" time anyway, like most forms of entertainment. i dont wanna say that warframes RNG and droprates are perfect, but when u get stuff too easily they lose value quickly and u lose long term progress/motivation, unless u enjoy running endurance runs just for the fun. ur complaints are not directed at warframe alone no matter how u formulate it, ur generally complaining about RNG drops in games, of which there are still enough. RNG is not as outdated as u say and those games who dont have literal drop tables have really high costs on craftig materials for example or whatever is required to get what u want, especially f2p titles, since they want to encourage purchases of peremium currency. u will always have to deal with a variation of either of those. the games who give u stuff too quickly one way or another dont make it for a very long time, simply because players wont have much to do at some point without any progress left. the balance is important, not removing RNG completely imo. i agree on incremental rewards because some drops are just silly valueless, but generally its not like RNG as a whole is easy to remove or should be removed completely anyway.

    greetings

So everybody is forgetting this is a free to play game and that the dilution of drops, the option to leave the grind and buy with platinum (free btw if your game is tight)  is what got the game going?

  2. firs off, if you don't own or understand limbo, you will never like limbo.  Second :  loki can troll, nova can troll,  valkyr can troll.  there are 2 things to keep in mind when youre in a squad with a limbo.

1 - if the limbo in question seems to not know what hes doing get away or roll out of his rift.  he will eventually die.

2 - like i said earlier,  if you down own or understand limbo you wouldn't know that in the rift if youre confused, you just have to use your melee.

    its not brainer.

  3. im sure you've leveled up weapons you didn't like, do the same for zaws.  Since you didn't mention the arcanes, magus vigor and  magus elevate are my choices of arcanes for better survivability for my frame and operator.  Set mods are not necessarily meant to be equipped all together, so i don't see why a little increase on multi shot on crit converted to slash could harm your builds.  come down from the power creep zone and give yourself a chance to see what PoE is really about.

  4. has anyone ever thought about why they are reworking IPS?  i know alot of players are already disappointed, but OP is exactly why they are doing this and Khora frame is just the front to justify the change.  When the majority of a player  base is OP the outcome is no incentives and always complaining about a lack of content or challenge.  Most of my top frames/weapons are OP but not that fun anymore.   Sometimes have to downgrade or try new modding just to challenge myself.

Honestly, stop whining about this. For years us vets had to do our tests with no practice feature being available. We actually had to study youtube videos before trying the tests, then we had a single chance per day to "nail it"... I remember on some of the hardest tests taking me more than a week to get done because of the stress of knowing you only get one chance and having to figure out on the fly exactly what to do.

Nowadays, anyone can just go to a relay, go to cephalon simaris and practice the test until they can reliably complete it numerous times in a row, then quality for it. Minimal stress, ample time to practice, no reason to fail any test anymore. And if you do fail it, well, too bad, you should have practiced it more to make sure you could reliably nail it before qualifying for it.

    thank you

  6. i totally agree with the part about the part where the event drops on christmas weekend. However if you compare a god roll riven with maiming strike or argon scope?  the only difference is you either have to buy a god roll or come up with it yourself.  ive sold my maiming and argon 2 years ago, got them back from event and i feel the same way.  with all the new mods in the game, these expensive prices are just a myth based on when the game didn't have these new set mods or rivens.  Hunter munitions and blood rush equipped alone do a way better job than these 2.  ive done alot of testing and i conclude that various mod combinations often give the same result : enemies get killed with difference of either a few melee strikes or bullets.  in other words having argon scope or maiming strike mods are not mandatory, unless you just want to make plat or have  a fetish for red numbers.  theres  a reason why after 60+ minutes in a survival you game starts to lag, because it wasn't designed to make all these calculations on a regular basis.   And how powerful do you want to be?  powerful enough  to say the game has no incentives and no challenge.  instead of scaling up levels and figuring out how to scale armor properly DE preferred scaling down IPS, and soon enough maybe these mods will have a meaning to me.   for now they are just alternatives and ways to get platinum.

  7. Ive been playing for 4 years now, so this isn't someone posting about things he doesnt know.   Leveling a weapon has always been about reaching 30 then mod your gear.   you get more capacity points available the more you have mastery, so far is good.  Now what I want to know is why do I have to level a weapon I can't put mods on?  this might be like saying we should have new mods in the game, but when you look at it the focus system doesnt really push your amp to reasonable output considering all the work put in to craft just one amp.  I'm not complaining, just wondering why someone thought it made sense to level up something you can't really configure the way you would want, just like anything else in the game.

i think the biggest problem is energy, i play some low def sometimes and most low mr don't use their powers, i think that's a bad habit that come from the very begining of the game when they don't have energy so they keep it in case of a situation, but tend to almost never use it in the end. They should be able to use their power from the begining, that's what warframe is about.

Flow / streamline should maybe be awarded from the first quest or / and frames should have an innate small energy regen. Archwing have it, operator have it but warframe don't...

That was the most obvious problem when i started a new account

i could agree on the starter frame, giving new players bp for other equipments they didn't chose from tutorial

from what ive observed , most new players dont use abilities in the beginning because they tend to rely on weapons more than the frame.  this is caused mostly by previous experience with plain shooter games with no complexity and variety.

Why are people so excited for this feature anyway? Well, we'll be able to invite other people to our orbiter....so what?  Maybe I'm missing something, but what is there in it apart from being able to show off your statues? Idk. I mean, it's nice I guess.

Showing off Fashion orbiter. and maybe a cool way to be waiting in a squad before going in a mission.

  10. the real issue to endgame is that to many partners share the knowledge of how to do things.  sounds weird right? but yeah, its the real issue.  any player can go on youtube and just copy/paste a partner without even understanding the science/mechanics behind the setups and endgame becomes just game. it is so true that ive seen players here saying teralysts are for newbies when its really not.  with how fast information circulates endgame experience will only last days if not hours.

  11. Welcome to Warframe.  You might not have been told this or haven't realized it yet, but this is a grinding game.  there are reusable blueprints and 1 time use ones, like mutagen.  before you go and propose certain features, make sure you browse around, you know, be curious about the games UI, basically press buttons to see what does what, it won't break the game.  Chat filter exists on every platform.  you probably like to be in your dojo, but this doesnt mean DE has to move syndicates there, Relay is the social space for it and syndicate menu on landing craft makes more sense after a mission.. Specters have a specific glow, adding to that a specter will not attack its owner. you must be under pressure to the point of not caring what youre shooting at, but that will improve with time. if youre interested in crafting a new weapon, building requirements are displayed in the market. New players fall into the trap youre describing just by not paying attention.

I will recommend you to make friends, even if youre a solo player.  there is alot to take in when it comes to how the game works and there is always someone who will want to help with whatever you need to understand.

  12. you might put it anyway you want but your poit is clearly that you want faster results with more performing gear without resetting its capacity.   this is where mastery rank matters and so far its fine the way it is.  and I dont know how you play but trying to walk through everything is not the right tactic either when your gear is maxed even less when youre leveling.  if youre among the people who think mastery doesnt mean anything of course youre gonna feel some pain.  your idea is creative but makes everything become too easy, even for players with no play style.

the current Teralyst is a low level... They will release stronger and tougher version later on... The current one is for newbies...

you just got used to it dude. he is not for newbies. as we speak there're alot of veteran experienced raid players who have no idea how to bring it down yet.

  14. i doesnt take alot of time as long as you know what you're doing.  Trading system is fine, just will nee more QoL changes like let players choose multiple items without having to leave windows, and shade equipped mods so players dont confused maxed mods for sale with what they are using.

  15. you're comparing weapon modifiers ( speciific load out)  and elemental modifiers with level 50 - 100 enemies, with level 30 gear.  modifiers have a purposes here and your thread describes one of them : challenge..  the enemy levels aren't really what's putting you down, at the end of the day there is at least 1 player in the squad who was ready to wreck everything.  Yes, people cheese missions with nice builds, but others actually put their minds to it and figure it out without niches.  A nightmare survival can be as painful as sorties.  Even an arena run can be painful with the correct set of modifiers to bring you down.  Enemies scale and get modifiers, you don't.  the world of equity doesnt exist in warframe, you go in with what you got and if its not good enough you just hav to get better at it.
