  1. Lets suppose that the grineer have almost all of the solar system and that the corpus are almost gone. Now that the corpus are week no one will want to play for them (other then die hard corpus supporters) because they give no xp or rewards. Now lets look at the grineer, they are going to be so hard to beat no one will fight them (and grineer have way more die hard supporters then the corpus). any way you look at it your idea will kill the corpus.

    Thats why you band together with your friends and other players! To defeat the stronger enemies! I read and hear all over the place about how easy everything is, this will give the difficulty everyone is asking for! :D

  2. People don't care what they get, they care about what is easy. Could easily see this back firing. Also people will just always side with the grinner no matter what, so this would just make it easier for grineer to rule the solar system.

     

    Sorry.

    But if they let the Grineer take over and allow the other factions to be cornered into a tiny area, those other factions will be super easy, but they wont give anything in return. Tiny xp and/or loot. Players would have a choice to fight the Grineer since they would give super xp and/or loot.

     

    Unless you like fighting weak enemies for no xp and loot over and over.

  3. Interesting idea, however I would also like to see this implemeneted:

     

    The losing side starts offering bigger rewards, such as 100k credits, Vauban parts, Clan Tech research blueprints, boats of resources, and so on.

     

     

     

    Would really help with the dynamics of Invasions.

    That would work well! Because the losing side needs help, so they start offer bigger rewards to help them instead of the others!

  4. I've noticed that majority of players tend to bum rush one particular faction in order to farm or gain easy xp or just because they are easy.

     

    This ends up pushing back that faction into one small area, allowing the other faction(s) to spread because nobody cares about them.

     

    I have a neat idea of how to encourage players to band together and fight against ALL the factions!

    THE IDEA

     

    If one faction gets demolished and get pushed back into a small area, that faction becomes super weak and low level, making them yield little xp and/or loot. On the other hand, the other factions that are dominating the solar system and conquering planets, become strong and gain higher levels allowing them to give higher xp and/or loot!

     

    This way it encourages players to come together and fight whichever faction has the biggest foothold for some additional xp and/or loot with some extra challenge! Plus it allows each faction to have its chance to spread across the system!

     

    Maybe have 3 "Life Bars" at the Main Hub showing the percentage of the system each faction controls to show players which faction is struggling and which is dominating the system!

  8. Hello all! I had a little idea for an infested Warframe. I think it kinda goes against the Lore, with Warframes being immune to it and all, but it's just a fun idea! So here it is!

     

    The Idea!

     

    The idea for him, is that so far Rhino has been the only REAL super tanky Warframe. I guess you could build other Warframes to be tanky, but they can never have Rhino's Iron Skin. I wanted to dream up an idea for a Warframe that could almost be another Rhino, but with claws.

     

    If you wanted some sort of origin, a wacky story I had was he was a Tenno obsessed with the Infested and adored how they worked. So he tinkered and tampered with Infested cells and eventually fused his DNA OR a Warframes structure with Infested cells? I dunno, but there you go!

     

    He has two stages: his Dormant state and his Beast state.

     

    When in his Dormant stage, his suit is all "closed up" like a cocoon. This helps him take less damage, due to the density of the Warframes "cocoon-like" wraps. He does not have access to his 1, 2 or 3 abilities while in this state.

    ****(Energy Orbs grant him slow HP regen OR a small amount of Inner Rage?)****

     

    When he enters his Beast stage, his suit "opens up" revealing the beast underneath. He has access to his 1, 2 and 3 abilities in this state. Gains rapid HP regen. Uses his HP as energy to use abilities.

    Xenos does not have shields, instead he has a massive HP pool and a pretty good amount of armor, which increases the lower health he has. As he takes more and more damage, his "Inner Beast" bar I guess you could say, fills up, getting him more ticked off. At any point the player can use his Number 4 skill "Inner Beast" and unleash chaos upon the enemy.

     

    Just a very quick little sketch I did, to give an idea of what he might look like.

    Xenos, the Spliced

     

    Xenos is built for those who like soaking up damage, but on top of that, has the ability to turn all that punishment taken and turn it into something out of this world. 

    –In-game description

     

    Xenos - having no shields at all, he has an unmatched health capacity. Taking less and less damage the lower his health pool becomes, increasing his Inner Beast Rage. Upon releasing his Inner Beast, he becomes something only seen in nightmares, rapidly regenerating health and unleashing devastating infested-like attacks.

     

    Health 450 (1350 at rank 30)

    Inner Beast Rage 100 (300 at Rank 30)

    Armor 800 (increases at 80%, 60%, 40% and 20% health)

    Shield Capacity 0 (0 at rank 30)

    Sprint Speed 1.00

    Heavy Leap - 5% of current HP - Hotkey: 1   Xenos leaps forward and deals damage in a small radius to enemies around him where he lands, knocking enemies down in the process. Upgrading increases range and damage

     

    Emanation - 10% of current HP- Hotkey: 2   Xenos adapts his skin towards incoming damage types. Increasing resistance to all damage types being taken while converting the damage into a deadly vapor matching the damage type, dealing damage over time to all enemies nearby. Upgrading increases duration.

     

    Lacerate - 15% of current HP -Hotkey: 3   Xenos uses his bladed claws to heave a powerful blow to the enemies in a cone infront of him. Dealing massive damage and causing damage over time. Upgrading increases damage.

     

    Inner Beast - Rage: 100-300Energy_small.png Hotkey: 4 Unleashing his fury, Xenos becomes a juggernaut. Gains substantial health regen. Duration in this state is dependant on how much Rage is consumed during the transformation. Gives access to his other abilities while in his "Beast" form. Upgrading increases value of Rage spent towards duration.

    Changes or Additions from feedback replies:

     

    -Added possible uses for Energy Orbs in both states.

    -Tweaked HP cost of abilities.

    -Updated name of Warframe.

    -Revamped Acidic Mist to Emanation.

    -Added description to Inner Beast explaning Weapon use and Mouse1 becoming a melee strike with possible lifesteal.

     

    I'm going to try and provide more and more concept as I get more feedback!

    Gale/Zephyr is suited very well towards Tenno who prefer a more melee approach to combat. Armed with abilities that support close quarter gameplay, Gale/Zephyr is a great alternative from guns.  

    –In-game description

     

    Gale/Zephyr is an air-based Warframe. Capable of unleashing powerful melee attacks, while being able to single out targets and control enemy placement on the battlefield.

    Tempest - Energy: 75Energy_small.png Hotkey: 3   Surrounds Gale/Zephyr with high winds, deflecting enemy ranged attacks, only melee attacks may damage you for the duration. Grants increased melee critical strike chance and damage (+20% Melee Critical Hit Chance, +50% Melee Critical Hit Damage) to nearby allies while active. Upgrading increases duration.

     

    Typhoon - Energy: 100Energy_small.png Hotkey: 4   Create a Typhoon centered on Gale/Zephyr, dealing moderate damage in the surrounding area, regenerating ally shields within and gradually growing larger while pushing enemies away. Upgrading increases damage and shield restoration rate.

  11. Hey again dev team! Loved the work you guys did on the Grineer Settlements and content, awesome job everyone!

     

    Some friends and I were talking and brought up at how much excess components we have (bajillion nano spores!) and how trading would be awesome. But of course being able to player-to-player trade is really risky and sort of defeats the purpose of the game in a way.

     

    So instead of a straight up Trade system, what if there was some kind of a "Exchange" system in game? Maybe some rogue Corpus merchants if you want to fit lore into it. And we would be able to exchange components for other components?

     

    Example:

     

    You can trade in 5,000 Alloy Plate and recieve 1 Orokin Cell.

    You can trade 10,000 Nano Spores and recieve 1000 Salvage.

     

    Something on the lines of that?

     

    It's just a suggestion!

     

    That way, it's a sort of risk free method of allowing players to "trade" their extra components for ones they need. All that farming for materials and getting tons of Nano Spores will at least be building towards being able to exchange them for something else you might want!

     

    With what ever you come out with, I'm sure it will blow us all away, everything you have done so far already has!

  12. First off I would like to say AWESOME job so far on the game guys, your the first dev team that I feel actually connected to!

     

    My suggestion in this post is to improve the way the HUD in-game displays items you have picked up. At the moment it is just the simple single line of white text at the bottom-center of the screen. While at times it is alright, when you are running over a million ammo types and trying to see what sort of components you have picked up in the ocean of ammo drops, it can be frustrating to have to keep an eye on the bottom of the screen while the text frantically changes between saying:

     

    "Shotgun Ammo Full, Pistol Ammo Full, Sniper Ammo+4, Rifle Ammo Full, Shotgun Ammo Full, Pistol Ammo Full, Sniper Ammo+4, Rifle Ammo Full,Shotgun Ammo Full, Pistol Ammo Full, Sniper Ammo+4, Rifle Ammo Full,Shotgun Ammo Full, Pistol Ammo Full, Sniper Ammo+4, Rifle Ammo Full,Shotgun Ammo Full, Pistol Ammo Full, Sniper Ammo+4, Rifle Ammo Full, and then finally Orokin Cell+1"

     

    Even at times the item pickup text is changing so fast I cannot see what I have picked up until the very end of the mission. My concern is when I am playing with friends and we are specifically farming a certain rare component like Orokin Cells or Neural Sensors. If one drops we of course say "Hey there is one here!" and mark it. But with the wacky item text at the moment, we may sometimes not see.

     

    My idea is to have instead of a single line of text that rapidly changes, either a box that slowly feeds a column of what items and how many you have picked up, and having ammo pickup feed either completely removed or in a seperate feed of some kind.

  13. I have played Warframe for over 300 hours atm, and I LOVE it. But my friends and I agree that some more tactical gameplay would be an awesome addition. Not that we do not appreciate all the hard work and effort the staff of Warframe has already done for all, you have all done a beyond fantastic job.

     

    Just a little feedback from a long time supporter and founder.

     

    More tactical gameplay such as cover systems, a bit more espionage themed option of gameplay, and a less "sprint into every room spraying bullets everywhere" kind of approach!

     

    However, know that whatever you guys do, we will support you fully. Through the growing pains, the bad calls and the good calls!
