  1. I started building today and got negative progress on my builds.

I started the builds and then did a Lephantis run. After I checked on the energy restores and found what i posted below.

the values are counting up in the negative.

The issue resolved itself as i was typing this up. I am not sure if this is a sync issue with the foundry system or what weird interaction would return a negative. Good luck chasing this ghost!

  2. These were printed on an AnetA8, Finished with sanding, too much needle-file work. Painted with acrylic with no read attempt to copy an existing skin.

They make for a nice desk toy.

  3. This is a quick proof of concept for Nakak's Grineer mask that I am making for someone for TennoCon

The model was done by Airhead1st. I decimated the high-rez mesh down to 100k polys (from 4 million) and then sliced with cura, and printed with PLA on an Anet A8

Tissue paper and glue for texture and a quick test paint.

9 hours to print  1 hour finishing, 1 hour texture and paint.

EDIT: more paint, and weathering. I like how it turned out.

  4. Had a few spare hours to play around on in CAD so i figured i would make a small desk toy.

7 parts, 5 hours, 3 cups of coffee.

    stands about 15cm tall,

I have sliced this out for 3d printing, I will post the build when it is done.

    EDIT:

I finished the first one as a rough draft to iron the kinks out before printing a few good ones.

stands 120cm tall at tips of ears. Printed at 50% size in white PLA and painted with acrylics.

    Lex prime for scale.

You either have a very small keyboard or that gun is made for hulk-hands. 😄

    But besides that: Nice work!

Yeah, looking at it now the perspective in that picture makes it look HUGE. it is a bit larger than a Desert Eagle, not a small gun, but still not so large that it is uncomfortable in the hand.

i will toss another pic up which gives a better idea of scale when i get a few minutes.

  6. This was my first shot at a Lex Prime. I finished it the night before Tennocon, so it is a rushed which is why the paint job is so sloppy

3d printed on my modified Anet A8, 20 hours of printing, and about 4-5 hours of assembly and paint.

I am making another 4 (2 sets of Aklex prime),  one for me, one for [DE]Scott.

I will post and update when they are done.

Credit to @Shrubsy  for the orginal model, which i modified to work for me.

  7. Anyone else think a daily or weekly ladder could work?

Ladder missions would progressively scale in difficulty as they are played. I would imagine this implemented something like nightmare, where you can choose to run a mission in ladder mode.

When the mission is completed x times the difficulty scales up. This would mean by the end of the ladder only very skilled players will be able to survive, if any at all. Give an epic reward, or maybe a badge for the last x parties to survive and reset for another round of chaos.

This would be a new way for players to compete, and maybe add a little spice for the end game players. The idea is to have a very challenging mission without the 20 minute grind in the void.

Also, any boss in ladder would scale to the limits of the best players.

So far DE has been giving the Warframe players a great amount of control over the game. Allowing the players to scale the level difficulty just seems like the next logical step to me. There is something satisfying about doing a near-impossible mission, knowing it will be that much harder for the next guy.

DE may also be able to use this for balancing. The players would push the Warframes and mobs to there limits... if they have any.

I am just musing here, any idea are welcome.

  8. The ladder could apply to all bosses, and reset on different days. This way any given time, the ladder for any boss could be simple, or just impossible.

The intent would be for a seriously challenging mission without the grind. It will be as difficult as the best players can make it... so hard... very very hard. It also opens up the opportunity for any boss to be a challenge.

  9. Anyone else think it would be fun to have a monthly/weekly/daily boss ladder?

Something like nightmare, where you can choose to run a boss in ladder mode.

When boss is defeated x times the difficulty scales up. This would mean by the end of the ladder only very skilled players will be able to survive, if anybody at all. Drop an epic reward for the last x parties to survive and reset for another round of chaos.

Another option is to have the mission scale 10 levels each time you clear it. At round 10 you would have a serious problem on your hands. The mission rewards would scale as well.

This would be a new way for players to compete, and maybe add a little spice for the end game players.

Also, for DE it could help with balancing, it would show the absolute limits of the warframes... if any exist.

Anyone have any thoughts on the idea?

  10. After running through a few missions yesterday, It dawned on me that Warframe has a familiar feel to it. So I went searching through my Dreamcast library for something I played long ago. I feel somewhat privileged now, looking back at what I was playing when games were still more primitive.

    Before Excalibur was HUcast.

In a game where helmets do nothing!

In a universe where Sentinels are called MAGs and the The Derp-Bird is a an enemy.... for reasons!

    Then this happens...

  11. A young man wakes up the morning of his senior prom in a panic. Being a reckless youth, he spent the last 2 weeks playing Warframe... no preparations were complete. He skips school to get ready for a night of style and hedonism. His first stop is the limousine rental company. He arrives to find 20 people waiting ahead of him. Not liking to wait, but being a polite Canadian, he holds his temper and waits for 45 minutes in the limousine line.

After having his transportation arranged for the evening, the young man turns his attention to his attire. He heads over to the best suit rental place he can afford. The store is swamped! A rouge Grineer attack force killed 350 on Tuesday, so there were a lot of funerals this week. Thankfully his date survived, so to look his best he had no suffer through 30 minutes queued in the suit line.

Now having his sweet extended ride and Armani to help him, he was beginning to feeling more confident. He rolled on up to the flower shop to grab a corsage for his date. Seeing as he was a pasty nerd, he could not afford to screw this up. He asked for a special arrangement to be made for her. There were a few people in the shop before him, so he waited 15 minutes in the corsage line.

The evening was upon him, and his preparations were complete. He hopped in the limo, picked up his date, and made off for the prom in style. He presented their tickets at the door, and they made their way inside. The room was dimly lit, and the music was pounding. After a dance or two his lovely date asked him for something to drink. Being a dutiful man, he made his way over to the bar for an age-appropriate beverage. He was relieved to find no punch line.

  12. If you have not seen this, it is pretty funny and a little scary.

The feedback system crashed after this was broadcast... I wonder why?

This post is not intended to deframe any person, company, or group. I wanted to post this because it's funny, and because I have 2 simple beliefs:

    1) The internet is the living index of human knowledge, and it must remain open and neutral.

    2) Ninjas play free.

Edit: Trolls has an "R" in it.
