  1. Hey guys. As promised, an update:

I've set the ping limit to 200 max. in my settings, rebuilt my PS4's database and lowered the game's resolution down to 80 (from 100).

First, I will say that playing solo gives me little to no issues, @(PS4)mrclean0325, you are correct in that regard. As for my internet, mine is fine. NAT2, 100mbps package is sufficient enough for just about every game, and it's stable, so I'm going out on a limp and say this specific case and say that it was the host's connection.

However, playing in a squad, wether I host or join as a client, the performance of the games turns less than optimal.

I haven't had any serious issues as mention in the OP happen just yet, but the noticeable performance drop when playing in a squad tells me that it could happen.

However, in a game that is mostly designed with the intent to be played in a squad, this is quite unfortunate to see. I do still hope they do a performance pass for the console versions in regards to this. Something akin to Operation Health that R6:S had a long time ago with the sole purpose of helping performance. It could use it. Additionally, it's unfortunate to see that a player might lose progress, worth of possibly hours, simply because of connection, something that can have issues or get worse without any indication.

  2. From single digit FPS numbers, to holding the revive button after death only to be stuck watching nothing while the game doesn't revive you, the PS4 version of the game is riddled with bugs and performance issues that make the game outright unplayable.

I've been away from the game for a while, and while I'm aware that the performance was never top-of-the-line, it wasn't this bad. This is often times outright unplayable.

There are so many occassions while trying to close fractures, that the game's performance gets that bad, the game absolutely S#&$s itsself and goes awol. Symptoms include, but are not limited to:

    - Heavy delays. I just had to wait 3 minutes before the game finally revived me after having prompted to do so. It then took another minute after asking to deploy my Archwing, before the game finally deployed the archwing.

    - Damage out of nowhere. Possibly tied in with the heavy delays, I'll recieve damage from ???? sources. My sentinel, who respawned with me with over 1k effective health, instantly died for seemingly no reason.

    - Physics breaking entirely. My syandana was jittering back and forth, my attachment colors kept flickering between my custom colors and the default ones as if I had a lightshow going on, and certain attachments also had the same symptoms my syandana had. On top of that, my warframe's idle animation suffered the same issue, in that it kept getting reset.

    - Game not registering anything properly anymore. My squadmate was apparently at the extraction point. However, on my side, they were just floating (yes, floating, like a lifeless puppet hanging from 2 strings attached to the shoulders) somewhere on the map, and upon entering the extraction area, I was told "waiting for other players: 1/2.", meaning that I couldn't extract, and to, hopefully, save the poor fellow (who told me they were also lagging very badly) progress loss, I dipped, losing my personal progress (including fractures closed).

    - UI not updating properly. At one point my sentinel was dead, and its name and level disappeared, but its health bar remained at 128 health.

I can understand that games have bugs. And that games may not always run the best, especially on consoles. But this is outright unacceptable, and it makes the game completely unplayable, or at least some parts of the game.

I hope something gets done about this as soon as possible.

  3. It appears the drones do spawn, but they tend to get stuck somewhere. Run around the map and search in all possible places, on top of objects, etc.

Just had a mission in which a player was downed but no drones appeared, until I suddenly ran into 4 of them just sitting on top of a crate doing nothing.

  4. One cannot simply replace or change enemy behavior in a game that's in the state Warframe currently is in. This is due to a few reasons that some people in this thread have already mentioned before me.

The main problem here is that Warframe promotes a hack-&-slash type of gameplay, more commonly known as "Rambo-ing" your way through everything. Get in with your most powerful gear and blast everything to bits. Most of Warframe's gear promotes this, such as the Ignis flamethrower, damage mods, ridiculously strong weapons like the Tigris (Prime), and so on and so forth. Another issue with this is that the maps don't support this either. Maps don't have any dynamic elements to them, making it nearly impossible to try and take any other approach other than the "get in and dispatch of my enemy as quick as I can before they kill me" kind of approach. Heck, you could remove the maps and simply put the player on a flat ground with a few walls here and there and it'd still be the same. Add on top of this that to actually progress through the game, you need resources to craft weapons and frames. Tons and tons of resources. More enemies killed = more resources. If we suddenly add enemies that actually require skill to kill, rather than just mindlessly blasting through them and gain a buttload of resources as quick as possible, that farming process will take even longer than it already does in some cases.

The other issue is the enemy to player balance overall. Enemies are either weak, as they drop like flies most of the time, or they're ridiculously OP, annihilating half or all of your shields and HP in mere seconds, sometimes they can even one-shot you. Another thing is CC. Most games that use CC in their combat have ways to counter it.Currently, there's hardly any way to counter CC, both for Warframes as enemies. Warframes, for example, have no way to counter the infamous "nullifiers" directly. Yes, you can stay out of range, but then we once again run into the issue of having no variety in possible playstyles, since all you can do is keep your distance, really. Enemies, on the other hand, can hardly counter any CC at all. Once they're in range of any CC effect, they're doomed, unless they're behind cover or the player's ability duration is practically null.

Point is, to change enemies the game overall needs to change. Yes, there are some enemies that here and there take a unique approach to defeat, but only at first glance. Why "only at first glance", you ask? Go to any boss, and tell me: is there any boss fight in which you kill an enemy in any other way than shooting them? No. It all comes down to the fact that the bigger the guns, the better your chances of success.

Believe me, I would love nothing more than to see the Corpus Tech change, instead of being a recolored crewman that's slightly taller and wider but does an insane amount of damage very quickly, actually be a unit that requires more thought to take out, and that goes for other enemies as well.

TL;DR - We cannot change the enemy, unless we change the fundamentals of the game. The game currently does not support the idea of enemies that require a unique approach to take down, which is very unfortunate.

  5. Ah, in that way. Yeah, sounds like the old Prime farming system with the Tier Towers was way more fun. The biggest factor most likely being that you actually kept playing for that one roll that you wanted and the preparing for the mission, basically strenghtening the sence of community. I doubt they'll remove relics for towers again, though.

  6. @komoriblues So I assume that you too want new, fresh content, huh? I haven't been a "year-long" member and wasn't here around the Second Dream update drop and before that, but I respect your opinion. I wouldn't say the game "reached its lowest", however. It could be far worse... (Pay2Win is worse, imagine WF being a P2W game...).

@-Mandachordian-Tenno- I guess that could also work, yeah. Perhaps they could use both the dojo and the relay basement for it, for the clans that don't want to spend resources on creating it? Good point.

  7. I think that the Anasa treasures are actually a good thing to have as loot from Sorties. ~3.5k Endo is pretty good especially if you have a lot of then.

I do, however, agree that they drop a bit too often. Perhaps a system that if you, say got 3 of the Anasa treasures from a Sortie in a row, you'd be guaranteed something else?

The same can be said for Lenses. I always get a Lens or Anasa... :( (Only once got something different, 3-day Cred booster which was fairly nice to have.)

  8. 7 minutes ago, (PS4)ZedArKzungh said:

This is pretty good, basically make more content that would make us feel more of a Ninja than a Rambo. The end game is pretty boring and a bit annoying (sortie rewards are a joke xD) . I would love that Corpus raid too. And maybe find a new way to put on arcanes, instead of useing that energize on one specific syandana that looks good on one frame, but messes up the other frames fashion.

Basically, yes. Then again, there could be different things that would make you feel even more of a Rambo, the main point was to have different / unique approaches that would add variation to the missions. Most missions currently feel like clones of eachother with different enemy placements.

"Fashion Framing" will always be a part of the late game, yes. I don't want it to be removed either, as some players may like it and I too enjoy being able to drop in a mission with a badass looking warframe. The main point is to add content that is more than simply "fashion framing", more to go alongside it that complements the actual game and game design intention rather than "fashion".

  9. Warframe's endgame - Fashion, but senseless

    Introduction:

Hello fellow Tenno. Welcome to my "Warframe feedback post". This is a post I'm making because I want to contribute my 2 cents to the game. I mean fictional 2 cents, I will not actually be spending 2 cents on the game. This feedback post will mainly be focused on the end-game side of the game, but some subjects may apply to other stages of the game as well. The idea to create this formed itself during a conversation I had with my clan leader regarding the status of our clan, our clan members and essentially, the (end-)game.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Disclaimer, read before you continue: You are reading this post for 2 reasons:

    a) You're interested in the ideas of other players for the sake of the game.

    b) You're the kind of person that loves to go around to posts only to complain about how bad someone's perspective is in the most savage way you can think of.

If you're the latter, I would like to ask you to also state what is so bad about the ideas that people state. Instead of just posting "Omfg, this is the worst idea ever, git gud scrub", try adding some constructive criticism, such as: "I think idea A isn't the best idea, this is because it would cause this and that to not be balanced, perhaps if you tweak that & this, it could work."

    Thanks.

Overall impression and feedback of the endgame of Warframe:

Warframe is a great free to play game. There are some things that I've become salty about (I'm looking at you, Corpus nullifiers, destroying my Limbo's Cataclysm only by entering it.), but there's also a lot of things that I love about it. I've had a blast playing the game, and still do from time to time. My excitement, however, dropped once I finished all the quests and gathered a few Prime sets.

Yes, I'm saying that the endgame is lackluster. In fact, at this point, the game is no longer "Warframe", but the more commonly referred "Fashionframe". I've seen and done it all... almost. I don't have every Warframe, weapon or their Primed variants. There's still a lot of gear I can find, unlock and craft, but overall, it's just the same. You run the same missions or relics a million times or you throw money at the game and buy the stuff from other players. But gameplay wise, there's nothing different, nothing that holds the attention and interest, unless you're a completionist and absolutely must have everything in the game, even if it'll get you bankrupt (ehem, looking at those "Platinum only" items).

Needless to say, the game starts to feel lackluster, and I'm only Mastery Rank 9, yet I've done every type of mission, finished all the quests, got a few sets and weapons to my name and I've probably seen every tileset the game can possibly throw at me. This is why I'm writing down my ideas here. The chance of any of them ever being taken into consideration, let alone get added to the game, are probably non-existant, but if you don't shoot, you'll always miss. So, without further ado, let's dive into it.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ideas for the game, stated under main categories (e.g.: "Dojo", "Mission", "Map", "Equipment", etc...)

Each category will be announced by a bold, italic title which will distinct it from main titles. Under every subtitle, there'll be a small paragraph, such as the one you're reading now, to explain what each category will hold in terms of content, so that if a certain part of the "ideas" don't interest you, you can easily skip it.

Missions - Planets, appearance, types and playstyles.

Missions are the biggest factor of the game. Everything you do are either sitting in your ship, spending time in chat or your dojo, or doing missions. There are a few types of missions already (Sabotage, Defense, Exterminate, etc...), but there's room for more. There needs to be more variation, more than just "oh this mission has Corpus instead of Grineer" and "oh we'll be using Corpus ship instead of Corpus outpost tilesets for this one", no. I mean actual variation, new gamemode types, for example.

Sneak (or whatever you want to call it. #LovePlaceholders #NotReally #ScrewHashtags) - No, I'm not referring to the Zanuka captured event, but it will have similarities. You know that one scene in "The War Within", with the bonemonster? That was fun, wasn't it? You were completely thrown out of your comfort zone, instead of being able to blast through everything with your shiny Prime stuff, you had to be tactical, wait for the right moment to strike or make a move. This would make for a great mission type, if I'm honest. Each planet would have 1 of these, and they should be mostly optional since I can see this not being everyone's cup of tea, but just imagine: You've been dressed up as a Grineer. You need to go in in a Grineer ship and move around the crowd without being spotted. You would need to behave like a Grineer... Wait, no no I don't mean just stand around trying to be intimidating, although that's what they do most of the time, I want more. This would be a perfect opportunity for devs to add more depth to the factions. What do the Grineer do when they're not standing around with their weapons? How fun would it be to dress up as a Grineer Commander, act like one (sort of) to get to the head of the ship and then just hi-jack the entire thing, making it crash into some Asteroid and right before it does you get to jump out, get picked up by your Archwing and see that entire ship go up into flames because you made it fly into a huge Asteroid. (D'you reckon we could annihilate the Kuva Fortress this way? huh.)

Capture the whatever - Get into the enemy's base, find your objective, grab it and get out alive. This would be like Spy but with only one objective, and once you've grabbed the objective, you (and perhaps also your team) would suffer from debuffs, like the Dragon keys do for OD Vaults, for example. This would force teams to work together and would give solo players the challenge they want... or don't want, which is why this mission should also be mostly optional.

Assault / Onslaught - Crossfire Exterminate taken to the next level. This'd be a combination of different gamemodes with unique approaches. Similar to Trials / Raids but without actually turning into Raids, you know what I mean? So instead of a unique or complex puzzle with high level enemies, it'd be smaller in scale. For example, a player would first have to do a small spy mission. The player, perhaps, has to get hold of a single data vault. This would lead to information that exposes a pathway into an enemy's base. There, the player needs to capture an a target that has even more information. Now, the player needs to survive (without life support stuff, for once), while the Lotus interrogates the target. After Lotus has the information, the player needs to exterminate all remaining enemies before heading to extraction. Make sense? It should.

Map - Appearance, playstyles, unique features map-to-map.

Maps play a role in your missions, you spend your entire time of the mission in it. A fun map that allows lots of possible approaches you can take is much more fun than a map that basically says "do this, or go home", right?

Usable environment  - You see a bush, you crawl in it and... oh, the enemy saw you... what a surprise. No bueno, there, because I say that environment should be usable. If you find a bush on Earth, for example, you should be able to hide in it and then quietly drag your unsuspecting enemy into them to do all your shenanigans with him, out of sight from others. Each planet should have different mechanics, for example Eris shouldn't have bushes, but perhaps you could grab a piece of dead, infested flesh and cover yourself with it like a Ghillie suit to quietly eliminate that Ancient healer that would otherwise cause you trouble. Or perhaps you would be able to start a process on a Grineer ship that would incinirate an entire room, so that you can then walk through it with a breeze, wading through the ashes of your burnt enemies. See where I'm going? How much more fun would it be if you could play your regular missions but have so much more different approaches you could take, simply by having interactive elements in the map?

More "fantasy", especially for realistically undiscovered planets  - Why is every tileset on Eris a Corpus ship, for example? You have these planets: Pluto, Eris, Jupiter, Sedna, etc... that no real human has ever been on. Nobody knows what they actually look like, so to oblivion with realism in their design. Why can't Eris be this mountainy, dusty planet. You'd have to walk up the mountains, but be careful, because the path might just crumble away under your feet, requiring you to parkour to the other side! What I'm saying is that most planets use a way to generic tileset. Eris is always Corpus ship with infested meat all over it, Jupiter is always a Corpus whatever that is with brown clouds everywhere, and Sedna is always a Grineer base. Nobody knows what the planets are actually like, so why isn't there more... creativity in map design on those planets? Why can Neptune / Uranus or whatever the liquid-y planet was, have an actual underwater tileset? And I don't mean a small Submersible room, no, I mean like this ocean you can float in with your submersible and do your mission stuffs there.

Dojo - Decorations, rooms and unique stuff to do in a Dojo.

A dojo should be more than a massive tower with trees and statues everywhere, where all you can do is walk around, battle others or trade. There needs to be more. You can build these beautiful, massive dojos, but most of it is just eyecandy. There's so much potential for these dojos, it's insane that nothing more was done with these.

Mission initiation room - You know those rooms in relays, where you can sit and start missions from? Why can't we put on of those in the dojo? Sure, you can go back to your ship and start the mission from there, all good and well, but I still think one of these rooms would add a bit more things to do in a dojo. It would also allow you to start missions with your squad, straight from the dojo, instead of having to leave and re-invite everyone before you can start.

A clan mission room  - You know those "notice boards" that medieval-type games always have? You go up to them, grab a piece of paper, and boom - task to complete. I don't mean to have an exact copy of it, but something similar. How fun would it be to have this clan quest / mission room? The clan leader would be able to assign any tileset, weapon, frame, etc... that players can use for the mission and the clan leader can also select the rewards for them. For example, the clan leader could decide that the mission would be to defeat a level 100 Khela with just your fists and the Loki frame, just for the fun of it, and the reward would be 5 Endo or something. Just imagine all the fun and unique possibilities that could be created here? Players, more specifically clan leaders, would be able to create their own unique missions that clan members can then just do for a challenge or just to have fun with some weird combination of gear and ridiculous enemies, or whatever. Rewards would have to be regulated, for example rewards could only be a small amount of Endo or Credits and can only be obtained once a day, but it'd be mostly just for the fun of it rather than for the rewards.

A training room - Parkour room 2.0, if you will. Just an all-around training room, in the dojo. You as a clan-leader could have your new recruits run this "obstacle course" that the leader could perhaps even design themselves, to see how your fresh meat does, while you watch him.... in a not-creepy way. You could have your recruit defeat enemies, complete a test spy vault or have him show his parkour skills, all in one place. So much room for creativity and fun with this is possible.

Interactive decorations - Decorations are beautiful, and make the dojo look not-empty or boring, but do you know what's better than just decorations? Yes you do, because you read this title: interactive decorations! How about having a bench you can sit on? What about a market stall that players could stand behind so that if a player visits the dojo he'll appear in this market where players from the clan could show off their wares and perhaps the player that entered purchases something? The clan leader needs a throne that smites everybody else but the leader that tries to sit on it. This is a must have. Why don't we have interactive chairs and table? We could make a clan meeting room! There's SO much we can do with interactive decorations, we could make a playground out of it. It'd make the dojo so much more fun to be in, and actually, in some cases, strengthen the bond between clan members. A fun and happy community / clan, is the best community / clan!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The finisher:

This is what I've got for now. I'll throw in more ideas later as they come up. Obviously there's so much more that can be done with the game, especially in terms of end-game things to do. If you have any more ideas, drop them down below, I'm excited to see what some of you people have in your head chamber, heh. Take the ideas with a grain of salt, some ideas may not be possible, I'm not a game designer so I wouldn't know, but I'm confident that everything should be possible, if time is spent on creating it.

What do you think of these ideas? Drop your comments below, but keep it nice, and appropriate to the general forum guidelines. If you are a person from the aforementioned paragraph b, Disclaimer chapter, then do as I prescribed. If you see anybody being toxic, ignore their comment, don't feed the trolls.

Thanks for reading, let's pray that one day we'll get more than just another few Prime items. (Don't get me wrong, they're cool and all, but barely add anything to the longevity of the game in terms of gameplay and interest, unless you're a collector.)

    Kind Regards,

    MoI, le not-French Zero

Nice idea!, btw is there any useful app to view the forums on my mobile, or should I use a browser and enter from there.

I know that there's a Warframe app, but I'm not sure if you can access these forums through it. You may have to use a browser on your phone / mobile device.

You are aware that all of this information is also in the codex in-game, right? Also, the megathread tag is not for this thread.

There are for some, but not all of them. Or I can't find it, at least. For example, warframe component blueprint drop locations don't seem to be mentioned in the codex, at least not under their respective warframes. Mods for example, are one of the few that have a drop location mentioned. But, I figured that I might as well add everything, to get all the information regarding drop rates etc... in a single place. Makes sense? :p

  11. Warframe: Complete item & mod drop location guide. (PC, PS4, Xbox One)

    Guide for the Tenno

    The introduction

Hello fellow Tenno Warframe players! My username is xZero_Strike and you've just started reading my guide for all Warframe item drop locations. The idea to create this guide was founded by me while I was searching for item drop locations for some specific mods that I required. While the Warframe community-driven WIKIA is a great place to find information, it was a hastle to have to search and re-search every different mod or item that I needed more information about, specifically drop locations. It bothered me that I couldn't find a place or topic that contained all the item drop locations in a single place that was, at the same time, easy to read and understand. As such, I came up with the idea to create one myself. However, I thought it would've been a better idea that, since I was already going to create this, I could've just as well created it for the community instead of just for myself.

    The template

I will present the list in an easy to read & follow lay-out. The lay-out will, hopefully, look something like this:

Note: Items are listed per class (e.g. Resources, Warframes, Primary weapons, etc...) and in alphabetical order (aa -> ab, ba -> bb, etc...).

This guide / article is currently a work-in-progress guide. I will attempt to work on this almost daily. There is no estimated time that this guide will be finished as of yet. The guide is designed to correspond with update / hotfix 20.4.5 (and beyond) currently, which correlates to "Octavia's Anthem update, Project: Ambulas Reborn".

The guide is in a barebones state at the moment. As such, there's not yet much to see. Feedback on currently available information, the presentation thereof, and the whole idea of this guide would be greatly appreciated. If you do give feedback / voice your opinion about this, please keep it nice. You can say anything you want, ranging from "This isn't useful at all" to "Amazing idea", as long as you can do so in an appropriate and friendly manner. Thanks in advance!
