  1. Tenno,

With the arrival of Dante Unbound on Wednesday, March 27th, we would like to help prepare you for the Update with some rough update sizes on each platform:

    PC: ~1.46 GB
    Playstation 4: ~11.85 GB
    Playstation 5: ~6.95 GB
    Xbox One: ~1.35 GB
    Xbox Series: ~1.39 GB
    Nintendo Switch: ~1.01 GB
    iOS: ~0.57 GB

Our Playstation Tenno will notice larger than normal download sizes, especially Tenno downloading the game for the first time. We have remastered how Warframe is stored on your Playstation consoles to optimize storage and ultimately reduce the overall install size!

With the above in mind, the new total download sizes from the Playstation store are as follows:
Playstation 4: 29.76 GB (reduced from 43.67 GB)
Playstation 5: 30.13 GB (reduced from 54.44 GB)

Defend the Leverian from the avaricious clutches of Parvos Granum tomorrow!

  2. Tenno,

With the arrival of Whispers in the Walls on December 13th, we would like to help prepare you for the Update with some rough update sizes on each platform:

    PC DirectX 11: 2.82 GB
    PC DirectX 12: 4.18 GB*
    PlayStation 4: 3.54 GB
    PlayStation 5: 8.77 GB
    Xbox: 3.6 GB
    Nintendo Switch: 16.45 GB**

*Our PC Tenno running on DirectX 12 will notice a larger download due to  all new optimized DirectX 12 shaders.

**This update includes a remaster for our Nintendo Switch Tenno! A remaster typically involves file optimization that helps reduce the overall size of the game on a particular platform.

The download size for Whispers in the Walls will be larger than usual (16.45 GB), since it includes the update content as well as the remaster (requires every file in the game to be redownloaded). However, once the download completes, the total size of Warframe on the Nintendo Switch will be reduced by 2 GB!

Whispers in the Walls will bring Warframe over the base memory allowance on Switch, so if you do not play using an SD card, we recommend you uninstall Warframe and reinstall it, as it will allow your Switch more space to operate while updating and will likely update faster this way.

We appreciate your understanding with needing to redownload the game, and hope you enjoy the extra space on your Switch!

  3. Xbox Tenno,

We are currently investigating a known issue which is currently preventing players from logging in after today’s update. This is a priority fix for our team and we’re working on a resolution ASAP -- thank you for  your patience.

    UPDATE:

The issue is ongoing and we are still investigating. If you would like to be notified when this issue is resolved on your console, please head over to the Xbox Status Page and sign in. Thank you for your continued patience.

The issue is now resolved! Please restart your Xbox and you should be able to download the updated version. Thank you again for your patience, Tenno!

  4. Tenno,

With the arrival of Echoes of Duviri on July 27th, we would like to help prepare you for the Update with some rough update sizes on each platform:

    PC: 0.58 GB
    PlayStation 4: 16.4 GB
    PlayStation 5: 6.87 GB
    Xbox: 1 GB
    Nintendo Switch: 9.25 GB

For our PS4 and Nintendo Switch Tenno, their larger download sizes for this update are due to their own remasters! PS4 has received a remaster of textures and Nintendo Switch a remaster of miscellaneous elements in the game. As a result, the total size of Warframe on each of these platforms has been reduced:

PS4 reduced from ~42 GB to ~40 GB
Switch reduced from ~23 GB to ~17 GB

The Echoes of Duviri are imminent!

I find it highly suspect that several of InexpensiveGamer's community members, who don't post on the forums, have suddenly arrived in this thread to defend him.
Weaponizing your community is not a way to make yourself look better.

Never once did I tell anyone to come here, friend.

But I look forward to you being there at the event tomorrow!

Good lord the salt is real in this thread.  @InexpensiveGamer and @Shul don't let the vocal minority ruin this for you.  Go have fun, play test the build (try to break it and find bugs for them to fix) and remember there are many like myself who are excited to see this.  I personally have never watched either of your content but I look forward to what you have to offer.

Never! If I wasn't ready to be in the cross-hairs of saltiness, I wouldn't be a Twitch Streamer. I look forward to this event and we will definitely try to make it as fun as possible!

    Thanks for the love

You are advertisements masquerading as fan content, you have "communities" around you insofar you need those eye-balls/followers to make you a more effective advertisement. You are being granted exclusive access so that people will watch your stream because that gains you viewers and gives DE an advertisement which looks like fan content.

Except, we aren't streaming Plains of Eidolon content on our channels? We are streaming on the Warframe channel, friend.

I implore to you to start streaming yourself and start building a community to truly understand. Community is the reason I stream. It led me to finding my wife and I am extremely ecstatic to bring to you content for years to come!

You're not just a person or a fan, you run a business and this is your job, you make money via your stream and DE is using you to try and acquire new players while you're using them to attempt to gain viewers and patrons so you can make money. So don't gimme that, "aww shucks I'm just a nice guy" shtick. You add nothing to the community, you don't influence the game positively, basically all of the Warframe Parteners can't fall down over themselves fast enough to say nothing but good things about DE, because why take an antagonistic relationship with the company who's signing your meal ticket.

You could be using your position to amplify and elevate player feedback, but you don't do that. You could be stressing the importance of a better new player experience and tutorials, but you don't do that. You answer questions on stream, that's nice, but that's only for the people that watch you, because those are your viewers, which is how you make money. Your content isn't any different than any other random active Warframe players would look like if they streamed it, and if it all got taken down nothing much of value to the community would be lost.

I would suggest to get to know Shul and myself. We are extremely humbled by getting an opportunity to go down to the studio. In fact, I am driving myself to the studio tomorrow morning to be a part of this.

If you feel like we truly do not add anything to the community, you need to just think about what we do here not only for DE but for any community of any game we play on Twitch. More hours stream is more potential people coming in and asking about the game. More questions leads to more people actually downloading and trying the game for themselves. That in itself can lead to new players interacting with each other and possibly becoming clan mates and good friends.

Broadcasters add so much more than you think. If you think we just hit the start streaming button and just sit there and play video games, you are missing the reason why Shul and myself stream daily.

You need to understand that this is not the first time DE has done this to us. I'm sorry that you're catching the flak for it, but when you do brand deals you should do research before accepting.

I have no problem supporting a company that cares deeply about it's community. If I had any worry about catching flak or being in the eyes of the public, I wouldn't be a content creator today nor would I be here on the forums today answering questions and being transparent with everyone!

I have to agree with Justin sadly. I've never heard of these two people. Why would I be excited to watch a livestream of two people I've never heard of, playing spoiler content for a heavily-hyped and heavily-delayed update, that we have no release date on, that people want to experience fresh?

More to the point, why are you promoting a livestream of spoiler content, when you are pushing a "Twitch Drops" event when PoE launches with Livestreamers we DO know? You want us to watch the content TWICE?
We want to PLAY it, not watch two people being thrust at us who get to flaunt the fact they have access to it before anyone else.

You can't just pick up two 'who's and call them Partners.

Edit: They're not even members of the community at large! Neither of them have any sort of regular posting history, neither here or on the subreddit. Nobody knows who these people are! If you're going to do something like this, find us some mature members of the community who produce content, there's plenty of them.

As I may be new to the Warframe community. I found this game and fell in love with it this February.

However, I have been broadcasting for 5 years and have experienced some highs and a lot of lows. The struggle of making content. I am not someone who flaunts. I am a very humble individual who treats everyone with respect as well as am always extremely thankful for every opportunity that comes up.

I believe you should get to know Shul and myself before having a preconception on who we are and how we care about not only our communities but every one of you in the Warframe community.

  11. Hey folks. I know there is a lot of upset individuals at the moment regarding no release date. Just know that dropping an update of this magnitude isn't as easy as flipping a switch. Development is hard and trust me when I say that everyone on the team wants this out as soon as humanly possible.

Myself and @Shul will never force anyone to watch any content. Even with our own broadcasts. If you choose not to watch, that is a choice that you make. That's the power of the internet and technology.

However, if you do tune in, we promise you to give you a good show.

I will be monitoring the forums for a wee bit and answering any question I can for you all!
