  1. Whelp...this is my first ever shot at designing armor of any kind, let alone an actiony pose. So...I hope it isn't too embarassingly bad?

Here's the current WIP for "Imbrued", my Blood Knight Frame concept.
Now with quick, crappy flat color for a better idea of what I'm going for!

    aQOLXGx.png

    Her Role:

A relatively tanky support/damage dealer. Middlingish stats with a bent toward health/armor to fit the blood/bone theme. A good stopgap between Trinity and, say, Nova. Sort of in Oberon's wheelhouse, but capable of stronger offense if built correctly.

    Stats:

    Health - 150 (450 Max)

    Shield - 75 (225Max)

    Energy - 100 (150 Max)

    Armor - 100

    Abilities: (Super Tentative Names Ahoy)

1: Bone Lash  (25  Eng//100, 125, 150, 300 Slash Damage) - Creates a chain of bone columns interconnected with blood which slashes enemies in a wide arc in front of her.

2: Transfusion  (50 Eng//2, 4, 6, 10% HP) - Steals % of life from surrounding enemies and transfers it to party members.

3: Shield of Vitality  (75 Eng//50 Puncture Damage//Duration of 10, 15, 20, 30 Seconds//Radius of 10, 15, 20, 25 Meters//10, 15, 20, 25% Damage Reduction) - Sucks the iron and metals from enemies' blood and her surroundings, doing damage and projecting a roiling damage reducing shield around her and weak, by half, version for party members in range.

4: Blood Boil  (100 Eng//1000 Fire Damage, Puddles tick for static 50-100 Fire Damage//Radius 8, 10, 12, 15 Meters) - Nearby enemies' blood boils, causing them to balloon then explode if killed, doing a bit of aoe and leaving behind boiling puddles that harm enemies who walk on them. If affected enemies don't die, they wretch up a puddle.

    Future Design Plans:

I'm gonna try out a few alternate helmets, since this one looks generic as hell, but eh. I still need to figure out energy light placement, aside from the scant few bits on her helmet/chest area that I just threw on to have the idea there.

I'll also be giving her a proper coloring job, along with a rear view and helmet detail, as well as a huge detail pass in general.

    What her back looks like...

Think a wonky spiky spinal column terminating in a tiny bone tail/nub.

Thank ya for the look. Suggestions more than welcome! And that includes criticism!

Definitely criticism! I want to make her halfway decent, after all.

  2. Hullo. I'm an occasional arty type and have taken a liking to Warframe and...well, here's some detritus. :D

First and last, for the time being, a weapon concept that I quickly sketched out far too late for the contest, which I didn't know about until tonight.

I know. It's sketchy and bleh, but I was just trying to get the idea out. I can do a more refined/colored version later.

As for the description; I jotted notes down one night when I had the idea pop into my head.

"tenno drill disc - reverse engineered from Miter - clan tech

stationary in holsters, in rows, 8 per "magazine/clip", higher damage, slower firing rate to compensate, slashing emphasis with secondary puncture and minimal impact

rotary design, drills within circular housing, spin when loosed, don't spin in tenno hand

idle animations include smoke/particles while the drills pop in and out or spin"

Ahem! Now that that badness is out of the way, I'll be posting more tangible things in here from time to time in the near future, when work/scheduling allows, rather than 5-10 minute spurts of sketchyness. I hope somebody enjoys, well, anything I put out.

    Take care 'til then. :o

  3. Dendron.

    Ancient greek for "tree."

Masculine sounding name that evokes thoughts of ancient greece, with their armored, shield-bearing soldiers and plant-like imagery.

I think that works nicely, imo.

  4. Happening to me too. A verification of my files fixed it the first time, but now even that isn't working.

    Win 7

    i5-2500k

    8GB Ripjaws

    640GB Caviar Black

    MSI P67

    GTX 570 (331.82)

    Latest DX.

    Edit:

Disabling multithreaded rendering let me load in to the game again. >.> So...there's that.

  5. 1. I'd suggest addressing Banshee's Soundquake. The damage needs a buff, either via armor ignore or straight up numbers. As it stands, it's just...underwhelming. Especially for a frame that takes so much RNG and luck to acquire.

    2. Saryn's Venom should either be reworked entirely, or have the damage greatly increased.

    3.  All offensive frames need to be looked at and rebalanced. The advent of Nova has kind of pushed power creep out of the realm of weaponry (Which is, in and of itself, a serious problem) and into the frames themselves.

    4. Perhaps get a group together to specifically work on balancing, either between their usual jobs or as their full time job? I'm sorry, I realize you're all damned busy already, but it'd do a hell of a lot to help work out some of the kinks that are occurring in gameplay.

    Just my opinions. :D
