I've been reading through the feedback people have been leaving regarding the Nightwave system, and I figured I'd toss my two cents into the mix.

I think people are panicking and making a mountain out of a molehill. People are failing to comprehend that this is a NEW SYSTEM, replacing another system that existed for 6 years. This is only the second round of "acts" DE has put together. This is a data collection phase for DE. What do I mean by that? Its simple, DE needs to see what acts people actually complete, and use that data as well as the general player data they collect to see which demographics are doing the various acts they toss our way. They need to find a balance between many factors, such as the difficulty, time/reward ratios, total time invested and numerous others. Again, this is a new system that is replacing a 6 year old one. I fully expect for there to be bumps along the way, but the reaction I've been seeing from players is a bit ridiculous. Yes, the old system might have fit your specific lifestyles better, but as a whole, I think Nightwave will fit even better once they tweak it.

There will always be a loud minority that dislikes change. They might even use accurate data to back up their shouting. To be clear I'm not saying that to invalidate peoples feedback. I'm saying that there are people who will do anything to keep what they know, even if a new thing is better in the long run.

I'd be willing to be 5k plat that once the dust settles, and DE has had the time needed to collect data and make adjustments to Nightwave, 90% of the playerbase will prefer it over the old system. There is always a buffer period where stuff isn't perfect when implementing a new system. I for one am willing to wait to see how things are tweaked before crying and shouting at DE.

It would be nice to see DE get something right the first time. It took months for bounties in PoE to be playable. Profit Taker is genuinely considered bad content by the player base. Eidalons created a more toxic niche than Raids. There are no good assassination bosses (we all love sargus ruk and ambulas). Melee is being reworked half a decade later because of the toxic slide spin meta. 4 man open world is the peak of their development, a feat accomplished by blizzard in 2001 with Diablo 2.

Other games like Rocket League get nothing but praise for their battle passes on release despite being paid.

A person who apparently "values their time" wouldn't realistically be playing Warframe.

I don't know if you're being facetious but I do enjoy a bit of the game from time to time.

I was just pointing out we're not all NEET or in high school. Some people don't have 40-80 hours per week to commit to this game.

Yeah see this is where subjective feelings are hard to satsify. You are angry about this apparently. I love that it gets me and the people I have met together to play more. It gives me content I appreciate.

Its not hard, you are just whining about your inability to be lazy.

I have a job, and I have an 18 day vacation in April. As someone who values their time, of course I'm angry.

im laughing hard right now, all those survival people that leave after 5-10 minutes must be mad, also good learning exprience for people that just mindlessly activate life support even if they at 99% >.>

Drop an ancient healer, put your Nekros in a corner with desecrate on, and have Octavia throw her goodies in front of you. BAM, 60 minute endless survival. There is no learning, the content is simply bad.

Bah.  I can barely stand how long and boring ten-wave Sortie Defenses are.

Eh, it's another 10k I likely won't be getting, but oh look at that I'm still on track to get all the unique rewards no problem.

Just because you're on track doesn't make it okay. We should be motivated to do challenges because they're fun and rewarding. You should not feel like you have to do chores in order to stay caught up with the game.

Toroids are a good example of this. Yes, I would love to level up my Vox Solaris standing but you're telling me I have to go to some random area of Orb Vallus and kill enemies for today's random Toroid just so I can level up? The system and methods DE use are so bad they're embarrassing.

Bottom line is you should not hide desirable rewards behind time consuming, uninteresting, low effort content, because your game mechanics are not conducive to anything else.

there are no decent rewards for endless, DE actively discourages play of that type.

And this shows how absolutely disconnected they are. I will be surprised next week if there isn't a challenge that's "Win 3 perfect matches of Lunaro in a row, with a friend or clan mate".

  7. DE needs to stop pushing their failed content onto players. Kuva survival is not rewarding or fun. Survival is not rewarding or fun. Most vets are so burned out by braindead missions it hurts. Yes, I could sit in a corner with Octavia and Nekros spamming CTRL but that's not the point.

Players have asked for ANYTHING for years and what do we get? Floofs? Mining? Fishing? Time gated reputation with VERY questionable rewards. What is the point? I think it's time to walk away while we're still ahead and stop acting like an exclusive armor set and one single Umbra Forma is worth it. I know for a fact I can live without it.

Look at World of WarCraft. Did it have a World of WarCraft 2 after 5 years? No, it had expansions.

Warframe, like other MMOs (such as Star Trek Online), will follow a similar trend; why ditch a functioning framework and it's playerbase and risk everything again?

Without Warframe, DE would not exist. If they made a sequel, they would be dooming themselves.

In conclusion: Your idea could be the 6th or 7th major Cinematic Quest, where, to survive the Sentients and Orokin fighting eachother again, you had to go sleep.

Time doesn't pass due to Orokin interference, and you awaken, matured but unchanged (Operator physically grows up during this 3rd Dream, which would be as short as 9 hours of sleep).

The Modular Frame idea could be possible; we've seen this proven by bugs allowing for inter-frame cosmetics, Stalker's abilities, and Stalker's Acolytes being a jumble of Warframes.

    In crude-short (Grineer speak, really):
You want to kill it? Not possible.

DLC1: Look at Warframe at each year it's existed. Observe the changes. By now, it would essentially be 2, maybe 3 separate titles in and of itself!

Have you seen WoW? A single expansion has more content than the entire game of Warframe. They have endgame and the devs respect new players and vets alike.

As for the answer to OP's question? No, Warframe is a cash cow at the moment, not going anywhere soon.

  10. Does it slow down or stop me from progressing? Then I don't like it. For instance plains bounties where the rescue target teleports to the AFK guy.

I really don't get it anyway. The game is completely trivialized by its own mechanics. You basically don't have to do anything in any mission aside from going invisible, invulnerable, or doing a few slide attacks, or just ignoring enemies. AFKing is probably the least efficient way to get rewards/completion.

Is Infinite Kuva Flood Farming Legit?

This refers to the behavior of taking players who have completed a specific kuva flood into this kuva flood mission and then quit the mission. This way the host has never completed the mission and other teammates get to repeat the kuva flood mission as long as the mission last.

    My reasoning is that:

    1. Taking player to a mission that is not available to him/her is a common practice.

    2. DE can't ban people for forfeiting a mission repetitively.

    3. DE don't typically ban exploits that aren't fatal to the game. This comes from the impression that exploitation during Jordas Verdict mission was a common practice and no one got banned for it.

Thus doing this should not end up with a ban unless the game rules explicitly forbid such an action.

I want to know what is the public opinion and the official opinion of DE if there is one.

Hope you understood my sentence as I am EAL.

A kuva flood with a booster isn't even one roll. I think the real issue here is the rewards system aren't gratifying. Why should anyone consider this? Because they don't want to spend $50 on platinum to buy a riven.

How about somebody addresses the real issue here, which is that all players are being baited into dropping enough money to buy Far Cry 5 in order to feel equal to the player base. Because lets face it. You used all that Kuva and still ended up with a dead riven.

Exploiting actual obvious bugs like that and not things confused as features (like Ember's 3 killing Hemo easily) should be punishable offenses.

Do you also confuse left and right?

De should make a militaristic warframe. Instead of making one like a ninja, they make a true soldier.

    How i picture it.

He (or she) cant use bullet or double jump. But instead has one jump that can varies in height if you hold the jump button. Like a super jump.

They have one ability that is different types of grenades, and can be swapped like ivara's arrows.

The second ability is to place a foward shield (like a riot shield) they can hold and they can still run around and shoot with it. But cant jump.

Third is an ability that buffs them and near by players with increased damage or stats. Basically a type of battle cry that influences others.

I have two ideas for the last ability. The first is a special personal pistol and an assult rifle they can use. Second is a commando mode where they receive increase speed and a knife and pistol. The knife allows finishers. This is just an idea btw

So you want to mix old Excalibur, volt shileds, rhino roar, and vaubans forgotten 1sr ability 🤣

    Sounds horrible

  13. During the Sargus Ruk boss fight it is possible for alarms to be triggered causing lockdown. There are no control consoles to hack and liset ship charges do not unlock the doors.

I can support this with any dozens of videos if necessary. At DE's request I can upload as many videos as humanly possible providing proof. This is an easily reproducible bug.
