I may not be able to check the forums every day, and reply to your comment straight away. If you want to catch me online, the easiest way to do it is to check my Warframe Market profile, which shows whether I'm currently in the game. Or just whisper me in the game, like this: /w KaliVasquez Hi! I'm interested in buying one of your Kavats

  2. Hello,

I would like to report a bug that I have found a while ago, but recently noticed it happening again. It is about Smeeta's Charm mod, specifically: the incorrect tag name of one of the buffs.

During a mission in Teshub void node, I noticed I have recieved a buff from my Smeeta that was labeled as "Affinity" buff. However, when I went to pick up a single Argon crystal, I got 2 instead of just 1, which means that it was in fact a "Doubled Pickups" buff. I use Smeeta's Charm a lot in resource farming, and having the buffs mislabeled really throws me off and hinders my farming efforts. Please, please look into it.

By the way, a fellow player has shared an excellent suggestion to assign a distinct icon to every type of Smeeta's buff, which would 100% solve the issue and remove ambiguity.

    ---

How can this bug be reproduced? Join any mission that allows pet companions to be present on the map. Bring your Smeeta Kavat with Charm mod equipped. Wait for it to give you "Affinity" buff. Go pick up a rare resource, like an Argon Crystal, Orokin Cell, Control Module, etc. Repeat it several times. You should notice that sometimes you get double resources with this "Affinity" buff, even thought it shouldn't be doint it.

What was happening before the issue started? I've noticed I was never getting the "Double Pickups" buff, only "Affinity" one. I went to investigate and found out it was wrongly labeled.

Solo, host, client? All mentioned. It happens when I'm playing solo or in a squad.

Can you share any images or a video of the bug?

Screenshots below demonstrate it, with Coprun resource as an example:

    oXsDG8w.jpg

Here, I lazily and quickly mined the red node and got 6 Coprun (no boosters) while the "Affinity" buff, which was in fact Double Pickup buff, was still active.

For comparison, the minimal number of Coprun I get from mining a red node lazily is 3 (no buffs or boosters).

As of today - the time of posting this topic - the described bug still occurs.

  3. First of all, as a former pet breeder, the genetic imprint cap of 200 hurts me deeply and I may never recover from this blow...

...which means I have to get rid of over 400 imprints to free up some space for the upcoming Pet 2.0 update. If it's ever coming to WF. I can dream 🥲

  4. From Warframe wiki: "Although it immobilizes them, Feral Kavats impaled by Nezha's Divine Spears are ragdolled as opposed to simply being knocked down, making it impossible to scan them until Divine Spears expires". I heard about people using Nezha for farming too, at least in the past. DE has probably changed how Divine Spears work on enemies in the meantime.

Personally I recommend Equinox (Rest), Ivara (Sleep Arrow), or Limbo (Cataclysm + Stasis) for kavat code farming.

  5. Nexus can't be equipped on a kavat that was born with Vasca Fur Pattern, the breed of the cat doesn't actually matter. Equipping Nexus pattern on a cat like that was only possible during the first week or two after Vascas were introduced, but it would break the cat's looks entirely (it was patched eventually). And yes, it also means that Smeeta/Adarza/Vasca hybrids are possible to make, with a cat having Vasca head, Hyacinth pattern, and peacock tail for example.

Nexus can freely be put on Smeetas, Adarzas, or Vascas, so long as the cat was born with Hyacinth pattern.

    Welcome, Tenno!

Back in 2018 I made a table showcasing various Kavat energy colors (which I shared on Warframe subreddit). A couple of months passed by, and eventually the members of a pet-themed Warframe discord server that I'm a part of have discovered that there is, in fact, not 9 but 14 different energies (15 after The Old Blood update). The only logical move was to expand the table with missing colors and also include other helpful examples. This table has been completely redone in the course of the last 6 months, with well over 200 screenshots taken to fill it up.

I would like to thank the mods and members of the Warframe Kubrow & Kavat Breeders discord server for helping me collect all the necessary Kavats - I would have never completed this table without your help!

(You can find a higher resolution image of this table here. Enjoy!)

Don't remove the credit part from the bottom of the image (unless you want the karma to get back to you). I worked hard on this table, I want people to know who made it.

    A bit of explaination:

What is this table even for?
This color table has been made for players to help them identify their Kavat's energy color.

Does the color affect damage type like it does for Chroma?
No, kavat's energy color is a purely cosmetic thing.

What's the point of all these columns?
There are many ways one can check a Kavat's energy color, which is why I tried to include as many examples as possible.

    • Invati Sekhara is a badge awarded to the players who have completed at least one Trial (before their removal in Update 22.14). It's animated, and pulses with your cat's energy color.
    • Ki'Teer Sekhara is a badge that can be bought from the Void Trader, Baro Ki’Teer, for 400 Ducats and 200k Credits. Baro's inventory changes every two weeks, and he may not always have it for sale. The badge looks like a spinning rhombus with energy sparkles flashing all around it.
    • Moonless Pattern is a special skin that makes your companion look like a feral Kavat. It can be bought from Master Teasonai, who resides in Cetus.
    • Deaeira Pattern is one of many Kavat fur patterns that can be bought on the Market, except it's the only one that shows cat's energy color through the glowing spots on the sides. It costs 55 Platinum.
    • Normal Eye is simply the eye of your Kavat.
    • Tail Color shows the energy as it appears on a glowing spots of your cat's tail. This particular tail is commonly called "peacock". There are 3 other tails that can show the energy color, but peacock is the most clear one, so to say.
    • Invisibility, can easily be seen with Ivara's Prowl or Loki's Invis.
    • Territorial Aggression is a Kavat mod that pacifies nearby wild creatures, forcing them to not attack for up to 15 seconds. A big visible energy sphere spawns when the ability is proc'd (to indicate its range), and it shines with Kavat's energy color.
    • Sense Danger  is a Kavat-exclusive mod that allows the companion to emit a sonar wave that marks enemies on the mini map, as well as making them glow with the Kavat's energy color for a short time.

  7. Hmmm... actually, I was doing some solo code farming last evening and I have to admit that it felt like I constantly kept getting less codes than normal, around 40-20% less. It's ture that solo farm is not efficient and you only get to see two feral kavats in a single group, with 1-4 groups spawning per mission (sometimes no cats show up at all). Still, I had drop chance booster as well as resource booster equipped... and it still wasn't as much as before. What I noticed is that the Cross-Matrix widget, despite triggering, doesn't double your scans. It'd be lovely if DE explained how this widget actually works...

(and also fixed kavat ghosts from Ballistica Prime)

    ((DE please i beg you))
