is this only happening to account merges and not linking?

I think some players are confusing Primary as in the primary platform they want to play on instead of understanding PRIMARY as the account progression you want to keep and merge/link to other platforms.
Cuz both merge and link you need to select a primary platform for quest progress and focus/intrinsics to turn it into a cross save account to play on all platforms but they end up choosing where they want to play instead of what platform progression they want to keep.
Edit: not sure if I am understanding the problem correctly cuz I cant cross save yet but I kinda wish the devs would have done a livestream demonstration of how to do the cross progression.

I mean it makes sense they are going to stagger drip in players to test it as they go. From what I am seeing so far im happy to let early adopters on cross save system test it for me. Anything goes wrong it makes it easier for them to fix 10 accounts vs 10,000 (numbers are not official ofc) accounts. So I get why they are going to drip feed cross save out at first.

I always assumed it was the first three letters where it creates a word that starts with J that Americans used to use as a slur in WWII that was the censored part of the word that creates the profanity. I never understand why game devs/game GMs never just add the entire word "Japanese" as a safe word though instead of letting Auto bots just str8 up prevent the word.
Edit: I get it is time consuming but it has been actual YEARS at this point I know stuff is time consuming but it is just funny at a certain point that they cannot take the time to add obvious safe words. Not a major deal tho so for me this topic is meh.

sounds more like those skins were done with different licenses across different platforms. At least that is what I think reb implied when she brought up the Nvida skin from 2013 while talking about skins through cross save.

isnt this pretty much PoE supporter packs? they do 60 usd to 100 to 160 to 240 and then 480 usd packs a year. Then they do the 30 60 90 packs every season (3 months) right?
I personally do not mind it that much as long as its f2p.

I really hope cross save is at least given a time frame. Been literally years at this point since I last played warframe. After getting a gaming PC I would like to use it to play warframe but at LR 1 its would be such a waste to completely start over on PC.

cross save literally been 2.5+ years since I last played warframe because I been waiting to play on my gaming PC.

they probably could just slap a twice a year platform hop for accounts and also make it so all plat turns into the free non tradeable plat when you hop. They could also make it so the plat can only been used in some parts of the market once you hop. Also could just make it so you have to use all plat beside 100 to be able to platform hop. There are probably a ton of ways to prevent it.
They could also do what you said and just make the market the same on all platforms by either making PC players like console or vice versa to make it easy.

really hoping that sister of parvos is not the tennocon update and they actually tease something otherwise it will be a lackluster year.

I also cannot wait for them to make that operator armor looks universal also. The reddit post is the one where DE responded saying the person working on the armor is more focus on new primes and things then going back to do operator armors for both gender but he is working on it on the side when he can.

at the time of that post it was just before the 2020 tennocon which happen august 1 2020 so it would be implied it was 2020 tennocon not 2021 since at the time DE would be all hands on deck on getting ready for tennocon 2020.
The person that linked the reddit post is more update to date info from DE raymond. pretty much its a side project so we could be waiting a while.

That person first post was to necro a thread and yea I been seeing quite a bit of necro thread lately compared to last few years where there pretty much was no necro'ing. I think people taking search for similar threads a bit too literally.
It does not mean bring back similar threads that are out of date compare to current ingame warframes and mechanics lol.

I think DE drops system in-game might have pushed the drops thru for ppl that were eligible for it and at the same time they set the Twitch campaign to end at 2:00pm PST so right when the stream ended the campaign also ended and might have cause a error at the same time? no clue Im just speculating at this point.

Hit the claim button again, and it showed under claimed, likely it was already claimed the first time and hitting it the second time just refreshed the page. Now i'll wait a bit for it to show in game, since it seems top be a 10-15 minute wait.
I got the item ingame but on twitch its still showing claim now. I just checked. Ill try firefox browser and see if switching browsers changes things.

I got this error too but I actually got the reactor BP. I think twitch derp or something cause the game gave it to me but in my twitch drop inventory It says I still have not claimed it.

linking is to make a primary account that works on any platform. It will keep quest progression and items of that primary account when you link. This deletes the secondary accounts progression and items/currencies that are linked to the primary.
merging from what I read is you also keep the quest progression of the primary account the difference is you combine all your account inventories and currencies together in one account that is cross save
Edit: both options will still make your account a cross save account at the end of the day they just do it differently. Link is for ppl that have pretty much no items/progress on secondary accounts you are just trying to make it so you can play on any platform.
Merge is combine all the items/currencies of multiple accounts.
