While it is a bit lame that the Founders get the apparently inferior version of Excalibur Prime (Or Exalibur 'Umbra'), I do suppose this was the only way to fix the issue in the long run.
PLEASE don't tell me that there is going to be more Umbra FramesThe in the future.... My body isn't ready.
IMO. There has to be. It's the only way to make sure this doesn't seem like a bait and switch. And there has to be lore attached. Those 2 factors will help some players forget about everything logical that has been said.
And I'm waiting for DE's response to CH-WF. They clearly said, we're getting a "different" version than Umbra. But Rebecca's first post says nothing about that part. It says this in DETAIL....or lack of detail.

Yes - we trust ChangYou's experiences and agree that in order for Warframe to appeal to an entirely new audience, some content needs to be released in Mainland China first. An example of this type of content would be Nunchaku style weapons.

I hope the Umbra-series will be from some anti-lotus organization where the umbra-series is their form of a primed warframe. Just to make the lore even more convoluted as is.

So it seems to me from the translations that becca might be trying to obfuscate the problems a bit . We are getting umbra excal just not the one in all of the pictures that we have seen.
So to make it even easier. China-WF Representative has stated we are not getting Umbra in it's current state. We are getting a different version.
Now to me this information would be something that Rebecca should of known about. Now I'm wondering to myself, are we getting a new model? Because if so that means more work for the Graphic Designers :/ If they mean different statistics then ok sure w/e
This is crazy man! It's like they said NOPE.AVI It's also like they went over DE/Rebecca's head to make that statement. I guess the Chinese community are at guards because they think we wan't their exclusives like right now....

Lore for Excalibur Umbra
Umbra is one of the last Humans to exist currently. Umbra wears the enhanced Excalibur suit empowered by Platinum and Gold. Umbra partners with Excalibur to train for the inevitable battle of the Sentients :^)

This is nothing more than a using a loophole in the Founder's program to get more money out of people who begged for Excal Prime to return.
Obviously they cant use Excalibur Prime in both name and looks, but tweak it a bit, add more flare and change it's name and voila. They have "successfully avoided re-releasing Founders program" and earned more money.
As I stated couple of times, I won't mind if Umbra makes its way so that everyone can either grind or buy him with plat. But IF they make him exclusive for cash shop only, I think we have a serious problem here. This may or may not change entire business model of the game IF Umbra has different stats than regular excal and is available for real money only.
Your comment and Bunny is exactly how I feel. I'm just too mentally drained (Warframe wise) to type out a valid argument. No matter what I feel things will still fall under deaf ears. Or changes actually won't be made in a time frame that'll please the community not just founders.
No matter how many people white knight or sugarcoat what is going on, the thought of loophole-excalibur will exist. It's too late no matter what's said. It's principles and authenticity that we care about. You see Excalibur's body. You see gold. You see Excalibur Prime. Even if you introduce lore, it's too late. So now are we suppose to believe Warframe's with Gold doesn't mean Prime? Really? >_>
I don't want to come off Doomsday-ish, so anyone who is reading don't take this so deeply. That's the problem with the internet, it's hard to apply vocal tones to text. Back to the subject.....

Yeah, pretty much everything affected by cloth physics is liable to disappear at times.
I'm guessing the lore will be similar to the explanation for Obsidian and Jade skins: none at all.

If it's $50 I'll go for it. Not spending nowhere near 100-250 bucks. Specially not now after how all of this was presented. Too sloppy. I'll send 250 plat though :^)

That feel when you realize you could of got paid off your hard work. I guess fanatics will be a little bit more careful when expressing their love of game.
I've seen many artist just simply put on their Deviantart "Do not steal my work." Like it's really going to matter. Shoot even if you copyright your brand, China still doesn't care.

Yeah, that's the impression I got too. I think it's actually a part of the frame, which makes me wonder if he'll be unable to equip a regular Syandana, or if they'll just say "screw it" and let syandanas clip atrociously with his own scarf.
One image you can see his groin area is being covered by the cloth, and in another it isn't. This is why I'm confused.
And if it isn't Excalibur Prime or Excalibur. But some new type of "Calibur" then how is DE going spin this off into lore?
Will we also get a discount when it hits the international build? All these questions were stated in the mega thread. I just hope they continue to answer these questions. Like I said the storm isn't over :/ People who apply critical thinking and not XD <3 xD all the time will have more questions....

Annnnnnnd no one has asked/clarified if the Syandana is exclusive to Dankcalibur. If you look at it, it seems as if it's apart of the whole Warframe and not an attachment.

Also this can't be a new Warframe, it's a variation of Excalibur. It's a re-model similiar to Valkyr-Pre Corpus. If it's a new "Warframe" then what is it's 4 powers? What's the lore?
I just get the feeling DE is being shut-lipped even when they know the answers. IMO I'm sure they know when they want to release, how they want to release it and etc.
By not answering these questions, it keeps the storm slowly brewing.

I still think this conflicts with the international Warframe. And this doesn't answer one question. Yes we'll get the content but how are you going to release China's "Prime Access" gear to the international audience? I thought you stated you DE would not revise or re-do "Founders."
So I'm going to assume the items CH-WF just got is similiar to Prime Access and not the Founder Packs.
Or the items CH-WF have nothing to do with Founders? It's just their method of kick starting their game...

PWE tells de what to do and de transfers ppl from active development to change models for chinesse release, effectively slowing down development.

Most likely from the Chinese publisher, we can still use it if we want. Just as they could use Excalibur prime. As their promises don't affect us and vice-versa.
I can't wait for Rebecca's statement.

YOU CAN'T, I CAN'T AND NEITHER ANYONE ELSE WHO ALREADY HASN'T GOT EXCAL PRIME CAN'T AND WON'T HAVE IT, EVER.
Ishki is going to be honest and non-trolling. The reason why I bought Founders was to support the game because I loved the art. And I still do.
Sounds cheesy but it's the truth. I said to myself and I remember exactly..."I'm going to spend 60 dollars as if this was a retail game, it's the least I can do." "Hopefully my money can go to the creators and graphic designers"
I even said if they re-release Prime Access (they haven't..technically), they should give everyone Excal Prime 2.0...but that comment seemed to disappear ..and i just dont knooooooooo why :^)
Sometimes people aren't aware of their actions. And I am chill. I'm not typing a wall of anger why someone in another continent has a different Excalibur p skin compared to the og excal.
It's different. Get over it. Play the game.
Now I hope we do get the new Dankcalibur Prem so I can tell you to get over it :^)

I swear if DE re-releases excal prime in any way or other founders items in our version, I'm done forever.
You do realize we have been asking for a revised Excalibur Prime and Frost Prime for a LONG TIME right?
They are the first 2 frames that were introduced the "Primed" look. And it's clear as day now that they are out-dated.
And look what we have a here, a new Dankcalibur Prime 2.0 AND a Scarf that was supposely impossible to do

Also, DE screwing over the Chinese publisher in any way (i.e. stealing content that they may make) would probably be a very bad idea; it would probably void the contract and then Changyou would get 100% of the profits of Warframe in China, versus a % of the profits with the other % going to DE.
But what if we find out later today that Warframe-China as a whole did not design Dankcalibur? What if it was our very own Mynki (since his face is on the website and also interviews) that designed all of this?
Shouldn't we get this for free -founders-...down the line.........or am I just missing the point.

That is what I'm thinking. No disrespect but isn't that working backwards DE? Wouldn't you create the new mini-map first, then construct the new tilesets afterwards? This would ensure that we won't see trolling map points like we normally see when doing regular missions.
Either way...cool stuff
