  1. Intrinsic wise, you want to have around 4-7-5-5 spread to be a decent all rounder railjack pilot. Prioritize on unlocking the ship's abilities in each of these groups such as Tactical recalls, Piloting maneuvers, Gunnery slingshot & dome cannon, as well as Engineering forges. These will help immensely in improving your experience of space battles and be a valuable crew member in public matches.

As for Railjack components, building the default sigma MK3 components are cheaper and is a good way to test out most of the weapon types before settling for their wreckage counterparts in veil drops (that or look up videos). Just don't waste your resources on repairing wreckages that are lower than MK3 as the stat gap is too wide.

For farming purposes, it is best to obtain Battering ram battle avionic for your ship as it is extremely useful for early earth missions in destroying fighters just by passing through them and helps pop nearby asteroids that carries the important resources of Asterites and Titanium which you need for repairing MK3 Vidar components.

Last but not least, don't forget to dissolve any spare wreckages into diracs. As a user mentioned earlier, there's limited inventory space of 30 before the game starts to automatically scrap extra wreckages. There's no need to keep redundant parts as DE implemented the valence fusion which combines the same type of components to improve their base stats, so just hold on to the ones you need and grind for resources.

  2. Might want to specify exactly what kind of playstyle you envision Vauban to be.

A CC crowd controller, an all rounder or an exalted damage dealer?

BTW, a friend of mine really likes his new style of traps and #*!%ing trolls me everytime in the railjack by dropping vector pads near the door way.

Gets me every time but damn is it funny, especially when he managed to bug the game by creating unlimited flechette orbs in scarlet spear which turned it into a tower defense session.

He did mention that the photon strike should be buffed to have scaling damage.

  3. Kuva lich as of now is in a better state than its original launch. The time taken to gather enough murmurs is fairly fast but only when you are in a group session to increase the chance of liches spawning. The problem right now is that the grind had shifted to obtaining enough requiem relics for mods and to enrage the lich fast enough to spawn which means going through multiple missions that can be completed quickly.

Honestly speaking, I feel that they could have adjusted three areas in the old blood that might improve the gameplay:

    1) Allow players to parazon hit the lich three times which cycles through the equipped order of the requiem mods rather than just hitting once and pray to speed up the weakness check. Failures will result in the lich countering and inflicting permanent debuffs to players for the duration of the mission. Vice versa, successful checks will inflict a random permanent status proc on the lich.

    2) Murmurs as standings or like vitus essence to be spent in a vendor like say the palladino in iron wake to unlock the active lich weaknesses and purchasing requiem relic packs. This will allow players who already knows three weaknesses of the lich to still gather up the murmur points for future hunt or reliably grind for relics.

    3) Timed alerts for the Kuva liches which refreshes weekly (kind of like sortie but only reserved for players with active liches). Completing these alerts will provide requiem relics, parazon mods (non-requiem types), additional murmur rewards, faster enrage meter and kuva blood. But ignoring these alerts will result in the Lich gaining additional advantages. Examples are: ranking up, developing resistance to certain status, territory troops gaining buffs or territory expansion.

I believe that DE can achieve these because there are existing mechanics in the game that could be reused for the above points and the grind will still be there for murmurs and relic hunting but at least it will be less stale compared to the current framework. That being said, I do feel that I might be expecting too much from this content addon but I hope that DE will someday revisit and change this system sometime this year. Maybe on the corpus lich counterparts.

  4. It might be better to gate off the old blood content from new players as a sidequest after the mainline 'war within'. They will still be able to encounter the larva in lvl 20+ missions but unless they complete this side quest, killing these enemies will not spawn a lich but still get a very small fraction of kuva blood. Maybe have the kuva guardian mention a small line that the effect is too weak for the larva to be reborn.

  5. FYI, don't aim at the top engine when it is in a disabled state (the middle one). For some weird reason, it becomes an invulnerable object which will block your dome cannon shots. Aim anywhere else but there or leave that engine with some health before firing your cannon. To one shot high level Crewship, it is advised to proc as much plasma stack as possible and drop their healths to 3/4 to be able to reliably one shot them in the body section.

  6. The current areas that have the grind are:

Open world locales of Earth (Plains of Eidolon) and Venus (Orb Vallis) due to local syndicate standings (two syndicate per hub).

Arbitration mode (need to complete all the nodes in the solar system to access it first)

Old blood Kuva liches (murmur grinding, requiem relic hunting and stabbing lich to identify the correct combination weaknesses)

Empyrean (building the ship, repairing wreckages and finding avionic mods)

and of course, Warframes (getting and building Wisp, khora, Gauss & Grendel)

Really up to you to decide on whether it's something you want to do. I would say try each one out or look up videos to see if the mode is interesting since each one has their own system of resources.

  7. If you want to burn away the credits all at once, go to the donation box in leverian located in your orbiter's codex console and pay half of your entire asset.

If you want to get rid of some credits and help out new players, max out the serration / split chamber mods and give them out for free.

Or if you want some plat, wait until ol' Baro pops around and see if he has any useful prime mods to max out and then sell them.

  8. That or just allow passengers to do a group vote like in regular squad and give the host the final say.

I also didn't know that the console can be interacted in the middle of the mission because I swore DE disabled that to stop players from warping out of missions to speed run sentient anomalies.

  9. Another tip in soloing Railjack is to hijack a grineer crewship and park them near the enemies. The AIs are more interesting in attacking nearby targets and will ignore your railjack. (Ramsleds will still gun for the railjack so keep an eye out for them)

In addition, don't spend your resources on the wreckage components from the early missions as they are not worth it and will be overshadowed by the next tier variants that you can research and build from your clan dojo. It is better to just dissolve them into diracs and improve your ship's grid tiles instead.

If you have some confidence with your railjack afterwards, you could further enhance your ship's attributes with avionic mod drops by grinding in the following areas:

Earth (Korm's belt) - Bulkhead (HP)

Saturn (Kasio's rest) - Hull weave (armor), Hyperstrike (Turret DMG) & Warhead (Armaments DMG)

Veil (Gian's point) - Forward Artillery (BFG DMG), Predator (CC) & Section Density (CD)

Try to manage your time when doing this part as the drop rates are incredibly low and the Saturn mission requires you to complete two additional objectives which pads the time.

  10. If you are a completionist or simply like the new weapons then you could prioritize on getting both of them as they are only available in this limited time event so they might not reappear in the future unless DE reruns scarlet spear or place them into Barokiteer wares. I don't know if they changed this, but do note that these weapons are not potatoed upon purchase so you will have to use your own orokin catalysts to raise their capacities.

On the other hand, Arcanes are more flexible and easier to grind. You could focus on ranking the ones that are useful for armor, shields, crits or energize. These will definitely benefit your other frames in the long run.

    Hope this helps.

  11. After looking through the Intrinsic trees multiple times, I cannot help but feel that there should have been a dedicated tree for Archwing as they are extremely fragile in this mode and can only be buffed by reaching level 8 in all trees. How about allocating these passive bonuses under this separate category with other quality of life skills such as a basic target tracker for archguns, extended melee homing range, etc?

At least this will make them more viable then relying on amesha slow and invincible bubbles.

I've been having this same problem too.

Also, the same problem should happen if you try switching to your melee weapon while you have your Archgun deployed.

Encountered this problem as well. I was using Inaros and Chroma with only melee weapons equipped, but after using an archgun launcher, they become weaponless during the entire mission and are dead weights. Even dying does not give it back. Only by having primary or secondary weapon, I can bypass this problem.
