  1. After a very long intermission, I decided to try and finish the Sands of Inaros quest. I made sure to look up on the wiki for the best place to farm denial bursas, and decided on Gulliver, Phobos. First time, I was the host, and was joined by someone who also was trying to finish the quest. We killed 4 denial bursas, though I only did damage to 2 of them. The mission ends, and I look at the urn for the quest, and it's 99% filled when before the mission it was empty.

The next 6-8 runs I was not the host, and no amount of damage I did to any of the denial bursas that spawned brought the urn any closer to full. I tried running it solo and invite only, and the denial bursas never spawned. I even got an alliance member to join the mission to ensure that I would go into it as the host, killed two denial bursas, and I still didn't get credit for them somehow.

I honestly don't know how to progress from here, beyond filling out a ticket, but I figured I'd try here first to see if anybody had any suggestions.

  2. I was finally able to update for Fortuna and try it, but I ran into a brick wall almost immediately. Once I got the Vox Solaris quest, I went to talk to Thornsby and once he was finished talking, my game froze then kicked me back to the login screen. Tried this multiple times, same result. Tried verifying cache, still nothing. I submitted a ticket, but any help regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.

  3. I'll be honest, I loved this game. I thought it could something really unique and cool, and the amount of time and money I invested in it is evidence of that. But within the last few months, things have been going downward for me in this game, changes and additions that I just scratch my head at.  One of the things that really influenced this decision was Update 16, which somehow managed to be disappointing to me, despite my apathetic view of it. I won't go into detail, otherwise I'd have to post numerous topics into the various feedback categories. Without sounding too dramatic, Warframe has simply turned into something that I'm no longer interested in being a part of.

I might check back in one day, just to see how much has changed, but that won't be anytime soon. I really did enjoy my time with this game, met some great people, and had some awesome moments, but now this game feels less like a game, and more like a second job.

    Thanks for the memories, DE.

  4. Before anyone else starts complainging remember the Ether Daggers? Removed then came back as a quest reward. Do know it is possible that they are planning to make Frost, Latron and Reaper prime in to a quest reward.

As I've stated before, the problem with this isn't what's being put into the Vault, it's the fact that this decision likely stems from DE's efforts at changing up how the Void works. But if this attempt to rectify dilution in the Void requires the removal of certain prime parts......Maybe this new system isn't an ideal improvement.

Obviously, we can't say that for certain, but a lot of the confusion with this could be cleared up if DE would just explain this decision, which would allow us to better discuss this issue.

  5. its just parts of the other trailers put into one with some music in the background. What happened to the days when fan made trailers where actually fan made rather than fan edited?

Because something like that could take several weeks alone. While he could have tried that, you can still see he put careful thought in what scenes were used, and when they appeared, timed well with a music piece that fit the scenes quite nicely.

Maybe not as "original" as making an entire set of animations and scenes from scratch, but that doesn't negate the fact that it's still a good fan-made trailer

  6. The more I look at this forum page the more I realise people are just crying incoherently. As though you /needed/ any of these for something important.

This is something I've had to repeat more than once in another forum post, but since there seems to be yet more people who are attempting to trivialize the concerns being raised, allow me to explain.

The root of this issue has nothing to do with Frost P, or his assorted weapons. It could have been any prime, it doesn't matter. What does matter is the fact that anyone can make the educated guess that this is likely DE's version of "Fixing" prime part dilution, what with Volt P and his various prime weapons on the way. And I will repeat myself from the aforementioned post that this is an extremely delayed knee-jerk reaction to a problem that has persisted and been discussed at length for well over a year.

Aside from the fact that this is a questionable tactic, even by band-aid solution's standards(sure, you may be removing a few primes, but they're simply going to be replaced with the same amount of primed things, just different), what happened to the other potential ways of lessening dilution? We still have mission types that could be used in the Void, could still have a T1-3 Interception. We still have no word on how the "Void in the starmap" thing is going to work, but there's no conceivable reason for there to be fewer missions in this new system than in the current one.

And even if they shrink the missions available to the Void with this new system, what about Derelicts? Has everyone forgotten the very reason for the existence of Derelicts? There were meant to be something to alleviate over-saturation in the Void. I don't remember any reason for why that was pulled from most of the Derelict missions when they launched, but there's no sensible explanation for why they can't go back to that.

These are only a few actions that could have been taken a year ago if prime part dilution was such a concern. Instead, we have this vague, cryptic "Prime Vault" that's supposed to house primes that they just don't have room for anymore.....

Finally, to all the people who are mocking those questioning the lack of communication and explanation on DE's part, if it were any other dev, I wouldn't be surprised. But in case you have all forgotten, DE has prided itself on being open and communicative with their players in the past, so it should be at least a little bit odd that this came out of nowhere, and with no reasoning given as to why.

  7. Do you have any better ideas then?

I feel like I'm repeating myself here, but as I said before, the most logical assumption for this move that DE has so far neglected to explain is made with the intention to avoid over-saturation with whatever new void system they've worked out. Once again, this is an incredibly strange and unnecessary move when you consider Orokin Derelicts.

It seems a lot of people have forgotten, but the original design of the Derelicts was to help reduce dilution in the Void. I ca't recall any explanation for why it got cut, but there's no sensible reason they can't go back to that. Just give Derelicts prime drops, and suddenly over-saturation isn't quite so bad, avoiding this entire "Prime Vault" thing.

  8. I see a lot of people trying to trivialize some of the questions and concerns here, so let me make this clear

The problem (for me, at least) isn't the fact that Frost P and his weapons are leaving. Now, despite DE being incredibly cryptic about all this, it doesn't take a genius to see that it's likely because of the arrival of Volt P, and his stuff, basically an attempt at avoiding over-saturation in the void. If this does turn out to be true, then I'm going to be frank and say that this is an extremely delayed knee-jerk reaction to a problem that has persisted and has been discussed at length for well over a year now.

Not even considering the fact that this barely passes for a band-aid solution, (Prime part dilution might not get worse, but neither is it going to get better) what about other avenues that could curb dilution without having to remove primed things? There are still mission types that could get a Prime treatment, Interception can still get a T1-3. We don't know how this "Void in the Starchart" thing is going to work, but there's no reason for there to be fewer missions in it than what we had before.

Even if it is smaller for some strange reason, what about Orokin Derelicts? Do any of you remember that the original idea of the Derelicts was to alleviate over-saturation in the Void? All it would take is for DE to make Tiered Derelicts, and give them prime drops, and we could have a huge amount of space for most future prime things, no removal or vault-locking necessary.

You can claim that even this is a temporary solution, but I'd argue anyone that it's much better than taking x amount of prime things out of the void, and replacing it with the same amount of different prime things.

  9. Ok, I've been putting this off for awhile, but I want to try and spell out my thoughts on the lore for this game(what little there is of it).

These thoughts are fully based off of the Lore entries for Excalibur, Stalker, and Mag Prime(I'd include Ember Prime's lore entry, but I'm not fully sure what's going on there).

Ok, so the Orokins. They're big, they're bad, they're the unquestioned rulers of the Origin system.Until somebody comes along and ruins their day. Something known only as the Sentients. Lots of different ideas about what these guys are, my guess is an unknown species either from a different galaxy, or dimension, or whatever. What we do know from Excalibur's lore entry is that they can take whatever technology that is used to combat them, and throw it back at whoever is using it. Pretty handy.

As a result, the Orokins, so very advanced, get demolished by these guys, so much so that they get desperate enough to release the Technocyte Virus on their own people, turning them into living meat shields to try and slow the Sentients(Remember that old message where the Lotus said the J-3 Golem was a "weapon" designed to fight in the "Old War"? Yeah, I don't believe for a minute that whoever got infected was a willing test subject...). But it seems even that wasn't enough to beat them.

So they get crazy, crazy enough to take people already infected with Technocyte, and toss them into the Void, where "science and reason failed"(again, Excalibur's lore entry states that the Orokins "turned" to the Void, but I doubt the Emperors themselves were going to risk going there. The people being thrown into the Void unwillingly would also explain Stalker's lore entry, but I'll get to that later. And this might be where Ember P's lore entry comes in, with the children on the ship being the result of this, but I can't say for certain.)

What comes out of this little endeavor I think surprised even the Orokin Emperors.

The Tenno. Once Orokin, now something completely different as a result of Technocyte and the Void. Now, I've seen some people claim that the Warframes are what generate the powers you see in the game, but by Excalibur's lore entry, The warframes are just conduits for the Tenno's agony, I think the suits only amplify the power that is already there.

So, the Orokins now have their secret weapon to fight the Sentients, and have the brains to give them older weapons, like projectile based firearms and blades. Archaic, but powerful in the hands of the Tenno, and, I'm guessing here, tech old enough that the Sentients wouldn't bother mimicking it, since they had already taken Orokin tech. So the Tenno kick butt, beat the Sentients, and the Emperors throw a party to celebrate. Only, it seems the Tenno were not in the mood for a party(according to the Stalker). Now, this is where I think the lore entries for Excalibur and Stalker cross, because if the Tenno really were unwilling participants in the Orokin's experiment, it would make sense that the Tenno would harbor a grudge, especially if they remember how the Emperors used their own people as meat shields.

But then you might ask, "Why wouldn't the Tenno just take their vengeance as soon as they got out of the Void?" Easy, the Sentients were right on their doorstep, they had to take out the bigger threat first.

And finally, I think all of this is why the Tenno only keep balance in the Origin System, rather than taking more direct control of things(We all know they could, with the power they wield).

They're afraid. Afraid that if they start to alter what a species does or how it behaves, even for a good reason, they would become like the Emperors. Arrogant, thinking themselves to be all-powerful, god-like, believing that they alone hold the right to change or destroy whatever they want.

That's about as far as I can go with this, given how little lore there is right now, but I'm curious to know your take on the Lore of Warframe.

  10. An interesting idea, although I feel it works in opposition to the mod system itself. The whole point of having free mod points is to use them to increase the effectiveness of your gear. Also, if this concept promotes reducing the "overuse" of formas, what then is the point of even having formas? Again, formas are integral to the mod system, and this idea would work against it.

  11. Clarification of why I chose "Other" on the subject of damage that bypasses shields.

The way I see it, Bleed should not proc unless your shields are down. It just makes sense, since the thing that causes the bleed in the first place should be bouncing off your shields, assuming you still have them.
