  1. Sorry, I have a master's degree and read the whole readme but I still don't get it:

    • I branched my PC account to the Switch back in 2018.
    • This means I am not eligible to merge my Switch and PC accounts together again.
    • I don't want to erase all the exclusive items and plat still present on my currently dormant PC account.

Ideally I don't want to touch my old original PC account, preserve it for nostalgia, and simply play with my Switch Account on PC.

    How do?

  2. I love that this feature is coming, with Nintendo keeping my account hostage, I am craving to go back to PC for some sweet frames and high resolutions.

The thing I am most curious about is how Plat purchases will work (and change?) in the future, and especially Tennogen. Anyone got insight into that?

When migrating my PC account to Switch at launch, I made a LOT of plat selling rare surplus mods I had accumulated. It was a real windfall I am still reaping the benefits of. I bought a lot of Tennogen with that plat, something I wouldn't be able to do on PC, where they aren't available for plat IIRC.

I feel the technical side is almost trivial to the logistical challenge. Hats off to the team working on this!

  3. Man I will so buy a Switch Pro exclusively for Warframe... I miss crisp 1080p60 gameplay so much :) But I bet Nintendo will figure out a way to lock my account to my old crusty Switch, I can already see it. But seriously, this Account hostage situation on console really sucks. Please let there be universal accounts sooner than later.

Uh oh... that may explain the long loading times I've noticed recently... thx for the heads-up, I'll check my card tomorrow - would be a bummer since it wasn't all that cheap and I wouldn't have a use for it otherwise...

I think my card fulfills the requirements... I moved Warframe onto the internal storage (it's only 20GB! whoa), but didn't really notice faster loading times. I guess it just loads slowly these days.

  5. Good thing you started this thread, I wanted to point this out at well, but couldn't figure out how to start a new thread!

I have 4 joycons (let's call them A,B,C and D.) A & B are permanently attached to the Switch, C & D are in the controller shell. When I start playing in docked mode with C & D, gyro aiming works. When I take the Switch out of the dock, A & B take over seamlessly, but Gyro Aiming doesn't work anymore.

A restart of Warframe solves this issue.

From a different perspective, the Skyrim UI was awful for every input device and the DS UI was unintuitive and seemingly intentionally misleading in some cases.

What Skyrim's UI is incredible! It's such a pleasure to navigate with a controller. It's super foolproof.

Another great UI is Diablo 3's. Somehow I was able to intuitively navigate and accomplish complex tasks like comparing and equipping gear, even though I was seeing the UI for the first time, never had played a looter rpg, was in a party setting with three other friends, *and* drunk. I have no idea what they did to make it so intuitive, but that UI must have been focus tested to perfection.

Also, I agree with OP. Keep it clean and diegetic!

  7. When you want to type into chat by pressing X on controller, an input field pops up and you can start writing.

But you can still press X to pop up a new, empty field over the old one!

You can overlay multiple (unlimited?) text input fields, and you also have to close them all individually.

P.s.: While I am on the topic - is the only way to access the chat window ingame to press start to bring up the menu, then press LT? I can't get the window to activate another way, and it's kinda clunky.

  8. Someone on a recent Devstream remarked "I remember when the new Warframe was the big thing of the update...".

I love how they one-up themselves with each mainline update. Plains of Eidolon was just NUTS!

I feel like lately they don't communicate much about upcoming updates or what they're working on short term, not like they used to.  Maybe it's just me, but I felt there was a time when the community was far more in tune with what was coming down the pipeline.

The Inaros skin sure snuck up on me! I don't mind actually.

She took on the visage of Margulis. For all we know there could be a massive Sentient out there that is the real body of Lotus similar to Hunhow's ability to project himself into the War.

Unpopular opinion but I like to believe Lotus controlled your Warframe to destroy the War Horcrux- I mean...War Hunhow.

Yeah I guess that will be the explanation for Lotus. I hope they don't rely on the same easy answer for your moving Warframe - there could be a nice tie-in with Warframes being rudimentary sentient, and Umbra frames being fully self-aware.

(Someone suggested that if you spoiler-mode out of your Umbra Warframe, instead of becoming immobile like a regular frame, it could become a specter-like AI running around with you. I like that idea so much I hope they go in this direction.)
