  1. Hey guys, this is Fr0stByt3, I'm a magistrate (two below leader) with the clan. Dave hasn't been on in a while, but I'm just letting everyone know there are a little over 10 spots available in the clan right now :) If you're interested, place a request in the thread here and send a message to me and Dave (so that he can approve it when he is next available) and I can help you get started with us!

I DO NOT have ABSOLUTE rule as to who gets to stay, but since there are openings I can offer a spot until another higher up says otherwise.

  2. I see what you're talking about, but I think it's less about the fact he is throwing them and more along the lines of summoning them. But your point is fully noted, and I think adding a full arc to it rather than it be a simple "Till max range" might be in order.

  3. I have heard around that several enhancements exist when you complete TRIAL missions that are given as rewards. IT gives you an arcane Enhancement to add to any cosmetic gear. Can someone explain to me what they are, how they work, and how many there are? Actual stat changes would be greatly appreciated.

  4. Mag could reeeally use an increased energy pool.

Frost, increased armor, to help the globe 'n go with the whole tank theme

    Excal, increased speed.

I'll have to insist on ember, she'll always be a favorite : give her enough health to achieve a 1050 health pool with max vitality.

    How about that?

I don't think any of those ideas are very bad to be honest.

  5. Hey, I like how Excal Prime looks, but I wouldn't mind having a bit more health than the original. Some 50 or 25 points wouldn't hurt. The Excal Prime already has a change to it's primary abilities, giving it an etheral Skana Prime instead of the typical Skana for Normal Excal. Frost and Mag could use a bit nicer changes, but I'm not exactly begging for them. They are pretty good, in my opinion,

And the very DAY Ash Prime is released, DE will have finally staked full claim upon my wallet.

  6. I can sort of vouch for them as far as the Grineer and Infested tile sets go. It's easy to do Corpus because they are blocky, polygonal, and have more or less straight edges and sides to them. Grineer is a lot of steam punk style and has a lot of rounded shapes, and Infested have a lot of organic objects to them. rounded shapes and organic type models are a lot more complicated than polygon oriented ones, since it's really easy to have gaps, disconnected joints and nurbs, and several modeling issues. I'm in the classes myself, and it's nice and simple until you have to make a weird circular door type situation with strange pipes and vault type wheels hanging from them. Then it becomes a mess.

They should have it polished up in time, but I figured I would explain where some of these issues might be coming from :) it's clean enough that is passes the render test and allows the object to work without glitching the WHOLE game or map, but there might be some rendering errors or some lighting discrepancies that weren't exactly caught in the screening process.

  7. The only cringe worthy story I have is when I was doing a mission and pretty much got carried through the first segment, then in the part where we had to do the pads.... We failed that segment 25 times. I sh*t you not.

After the first 4 failures I started to see the pattern and was actually leading the group to their correct spots. However, despite having 6 of the 8 buttons lit maybe 4 times, there was always ONE person that would step off, use an ability and leave, get blown out by a rocket, or some other farce, that we continued to fail it. This went on for about an hour. It got to the point that the whole squad had used up their revived because of this ONE GUY not being able to stay on his d*mn button.

Of course we had to abort the mission after wasting an hour and a half on it.

The worst part was at one point we were literally seconds away from finishing it. I mean the buttons were lit at 7 of 8 and the guy was right next to the pad when that idiot decided to step off of it. I screamed a little.

  8. I didn't see the significance to the Edo armor post until I noticed you were using LOKI and still had the lightning effects. Sorry but I love this whole set, and DE is just stealing my money at this point :c

  9. I dont know what your seeing man, minus 3 of the pics all the rest look normal... it would help if you used GIMP or Paint and highlited the areas your talking about in each picture... there was 2 with the doors that where obvius the other looked like it was just a graphic error from loading up.

It's actually what I mentioned, dude. Just a couple issues with lighting and some connection issues with the textures. Subtle things that wouldn't really be noticed on the fly or from someone who isn't looking too close. It took me a while to find them, as well. Usually it's just a texture being caught by light, and casting a shadow over the area where the next repetition of the texture would begin.

  10. I truly think that making the PVP accessible to newer players may be a huge mistake, NOT because I believe they shouldn't be there but because of the fact that they have to compete with players that have had months to years worth of experienced. They are getting trampled by the PVE in the early levels already, why make it worse by pitting them against other players with more experience? I'ts rather unfair.

Add to that the fact most people already have a hard time getting a start in the game without having to think that PVP is a huge deal and that many people have a mindset that if they can't get god at something they just leave it out right?

It's going to turn away more new people than it will bring in.

But I digress, this is no longer about the weapons.

  11. While I am in love with the way you guys at DE decided to handle PvP here, I realize that it is going to be a long process. It should be. Much consideration must be given to all aspects of balance when it comes to anything PvP.

That said - the numbers on the weapons are a bit off, in my opinion. (Slower firing)/(Slower swinging) weapons with either a smaller clip or that use more stamina per swing should do more damage when registering a hit simply because it is generally harder to hit a target with them. Exceptions such as the weapon that has worse stats brings something extra to your arsenal (such as being able to copter further) could exist and bring more fun to the party, though. That is a large part of what weapon balance is all about. Make it different but the same, if you get my drift...

I also think the variation weapons (Primes, Vandals etc) should never be simply better or worse from a pure damage perspective and then equal on other aspects. Tweaks to accuracy, fire rate, clip size, bullet travel time etc along with damage number tweaks are better in this case IMHO because they change the way you play with your weapons rather than just raising your DPS.

I wasn't distinctly saying that a Prime or Vandal weapon should get more glory because of it's status. My comparison was more against the Mk1 weapons. There is a decent change from normal to prime or vandal, but it's not massive, and usually it has it's trade offs. I don't mind that. I mind what should be downgraded weapons having comparable, if not better, stats to the regular weapons. They are supposed to be downgrades for a reason, that should be seen more in PVP, rather than making it look like a weapon could be just as good if not better than the one you could possibly upgrade to.

  12. https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/424746-psa-mk-1-paris-is-now-strongest-bow/?p=4716345

as for the shotguns... the damage listed is damage PER PELLET. Now tell me this - how many pellets does each shotgun shoot? What is their pellet spread? What is their damage drop off? You dont know, right? Those stat are not listed

attack speed is a multiplier to the base speed of the weapon, it doesnt mean much, that's first of all - just look at attack speed of fangs, if you need a clear picture

second of all, it's a dual weapon, meaning it actually hits faster

third of all, it copters further

you just complained that shotguns and bows do different damage, and then bring up kunai having the same damage and complain about balance? Bro, please

Let's put this straight, first and foremost, your attitude is not needed. Shove it.

Second, as far as Mk1 and normal kunai go, the problem lies in the fact that one of them is supposed to be INNATELY better than the other, since it is an UPGRADE of the MK1 weapon.

As for the other weapons, there shouldn't be only SLIGHT differences in their damage, nor should we have to take into account so many minor details for the weapons. If it's by pellet count, charge time, attack speed, clip size, it doesn't matter. An upgrade weapon should not be almost evenly matched with it's downgraded counterpart. There should be a noticeable difference between them.

As far as melee goes, no, you are wrong. I haven't personally used Fang, but as far as Dual swords go, they have a typically faster attack speed, as do most dual weapons and fist weapons go. Most of them have increased attack speed because they number the speed PER click and swing, not by multiple animations. I used the Dual Skana as opposed to a scythe or a hammer, and I was swinging faster with heavier weapons. I haven't been able to use many melees in PVP, but the sheer fact that Dual skanas have such slow animations and attacks, AS WELL as being lower damage than the Gram, makes little sense. Not because it shouldn't deal less damage, but that it should be able to attack faster. Instead, among all the melee weapons in PVP it has the slowest attack speed. with only Ripkas having a similar attack speed yet still having higher damage.

At the end of the day, a weapon like Dual Skanas should not be outmatched in EVERY way. There should be more balance to those, because the way I see it, and how I've played, Dual Skanas in PVE are just Mastery Fodder, and by the way it compares in PVP, it is STILL mastery fodder.

I have a right to complain about how these weapons fair against each other, we all do. I've looked at them, and the numbers don't make sense. As far as in game use, the way people describe them is that there is no clear distinction as to why one is better than the other, and THAT is not right, especially in a pvp setting where distinctions like that should be more apparent.

  13. Well, I have mine formad twice, and it does what I need it to. My mod set only has 7 spots, and I have on it Max Serration, Max Split Chamber, Rank 4 Heavy Caliber, Max Shred, Max Speed Trigger, Max Thermite Rounds, and Max Malignant Force.

This gives me 165% extra damage, which is then almost doubled by Heavy Caliber since it doesn't affect the aim at all, then doubled again by the 90% chance of double shot by Split Chamber. so imagine from 500 base damage all the way to roughly 4k.

Because of Shread and Speed Trigger, the normal 4 second charge time becomes about 2 and a half, which is a HUGE difference even if you don't realize it by numbers. The fact it punches through some enemies and walls means it will be able to come into contact with the floor or the enemy itself behind the barrier, and increases it's damage effectiveness. Plus, if it touches the floor there is the AOE burst.

The Status chance with my two element mods becomes about 23 to 26% which is then DOUBLED again because of multishot from Split chamber, which means every 2 or 3 shots, there will be a massive Gas damage proc, which adds about 4k gas damage in a large area, whether it hits the floor or an enemy. That gives 2 chances for AOE.

That last mod slot can be used for anything you want, and with more forma you could probably max your Heavy Caliber and see about 13 to 14k damage boosts on your shots with no impact to it's aim. It is quit literally an instagib. If you mod this weapon the right way, you will never be sorry.

  14. You definitely want to keep that thing. It's basically an Instagib on just about everything until level 45, and even then it knocks them down pretty hard. You're going to find a lot of use in that weapon, especially if you mod it the right way. I would go with Shread and Speed Trigger like the other guy said, it makes charging half the time and deals ridiculous damage.

Do you mean the Opticor or the Ogris? The weapon you are describing sounds like the Ogris.

    Also, this.
