    Endless Mission Rotation and Drop Question

    Yeah, I meant 20.  My mind was on 25 because I tried to solo a defense mission and got to the 25th wave - got stuck and couldn't get back up to the defense point in time - the enemy blew it up and I lost everything.   Was slightly annoyed because I was going to quit after the 25th wave.  It was starting to turn into a prickly situation for me haha

    New Player - Reactor & Catalyst Paralysis

    I have a catalyst and I have a reactor.  I'm paralyzed about putting one on a weapon / frame for fear it will be a long, long time before I get another one.  
    However, I realize that I may need to do this as I'm stuck at Uranus right now.  Should I go ahead and do it?  If so, suggestions on which catalyst to apply to.  I have:

    Tigris / Grakata / Lex Prime / AkBronco / Soma Prime  / Vulkar / Boar / Boltor

    Frames I have are:

    Volt / Volt Prime / Rhino (I can't figure out how to play it well) / Frost Prime

    I really like the volt and the frost.

    Mods and Damage

    Im working on getting all the common and uncommon elemental damage cards and thought the transmute might help. 

     

    Now I have a plan to keep about 4 of each card at different ranks for leveling and endo the rest.  One of these days I hope to have all the common and uncommon mods.  ( sorry i keep calling them cards)

    One gaming session later, I did not realize how fast you can drain Endo and Credits with "undamaged" mods.  Ha!  I went broke quick!  I was rolling over Ceres Dark Sector missions over and over just to get the creds back where they were.

    On another mod note, have any of you guys had much luck with dropping four duplicate modes for a chance at a rare?  It was time consuming and tedious .. and unfruitful.  Many times I would get the exact same card I was dumping.  That's just dumb.

    Melee-wise, I really liked used daggers and staves.  Ether daggers and Amphis.  The big heavy weapons are a turn off for me.  You might like them.

    If I may suggest, shotgun wise, get a Strun.  You can buy it with credits.  I have a Lex and it's a great long range secondary that can one shot a lot of enemies (at our level).  If you can swing it, try a Grakata for "rifles".  If you want mastery level to go faster, keep trying out new weapons and leveling them up to 30.  Dump the stuff you don't like and keep the ones that work for you as "go to" weapons until a better go to weapon comes along.

    I'm in the same boat as you.  I've been trying out all the weapons now that my resources are getting better (past Jupiter).  I suggest you get to Jupiter at least and then your resources will start filling up (like Plastids).  Will give you more opportunity to get different weapons and try them out.  Farm relics on Earth, like Lith (easy and you can do up to wave 20 pretty easily solo, if you want to) and you'll also get Neurodes here and there along the way.

     I'm pretty much stuck on Uranus at the moment though.  I define stuck as not being able to finish a mission with relative ease solo.  It's all about the mod cards.

    I'm pretty new too.  I've been doing some comparisons and I know you can't always just go by math (which is all I can go by, currently).  From what I've calculated (and read), the [Prisma Grakata] is a great primary weapon for end game.  I'm going to get a plain [Grakata] and use it as well, as it ranks high on (probably wrong) calculations list.  As I understand it, status is king for endgame. 

    My top 5 with my own rating, higher is better (remember I'm new and only theorizing)

    Pure Damage:

    Tigris Prime  -  2.67
    Vaykor Hek  -  2.54
    Sancti Tigris  -  2.47
    Opticor  -  2.14
    Tigris  -  1.65


    Pure Status:

    Glaxion  -  2.80
    Prisma Grakata  -  1.44
    Zenith  -  1.25
    Grakata  -  1.18
    Paracyst  -  1.11

     

    What I am currently doing:  I have a Tigris and will be testing out the plain Grakata.  I have a Soma Prime and it is pretty awesome.  I'm hesitant to drop a catalyst or a forma into yet until I test other weapons out.  Some of the stuff on the damage list is pretty difficult to get into, for rarity and MR requirement reasons.  So it's Tigris and Grakata for me, for now.

    Confused about Status

    OK yall thanks.

    Speaking of shotguns, it seems very hard to get a 100% status shotgun mod-wise.  And said shotgun must also have a starting status of 30%; is that correct?  Do secondary shotguns use the same mod cards as primary shotguns?  If not, do 100% status secondary shotguns exist?

    Other thoughts: The secondaries I was toying around with initially are: 

    Akstiletto Prime
    Akmagnus
    Twin Grakatas

    I'm new but trying to learn this game.

     

    First, the wiki says this:

    Proportional Damage ÷ Total Proportional Damage = Proportional Proc Chance

    For example, if a weapon's damage is composed of 20 Impact, 10 slash, 5 puncture, 25 heat, and 50 corrosive; then its proportional damage is 80 + 40 + 20 + 25+ 50 = 215. Therefore, the chance for the individual damage types to proc will be: Impact 37.2% (80 / 215 = 0.372), slash 18.6%, puncture 9.3%, heat 11.6%, and corrosive 23.3%. To find the chance that a particular damage type will proc on any given hit, simply multiply it's proportional proc chance by the weapon's status chance.

    From 20/10/5/25/50 - how did it get 80/40/20/25/50  OK, I can see the 25/50?  Confusing.

    Other questions. 

    If a weapon has a fire rate of 20 and a status chance of 50% - does that 50% apply 50% to all 20?  Or is it all 20 = 50%

    Does type damage have any effect on status other than the % chance it will proc?

    How long is default status duration?  Does adding a mod to increase duration increase the proc per second?

    I think I understand everything else - but, is there something I might be missing and should take into consideration?

    Looked around to join a clan, most had too much tape for me or no response.  So I started my own clan.  I'm a one man clan but will hopefully recruit like minded players in the future (40+, not always in a hurry, learning the game).

    Having said that, I would like to join your alliance as long as you're OK with my status.

    Lex Prime Receiver Question

    Would someone please confirm where I can find this receiver? 

    I did void fissures and used wikia as a guide but I did not see the receiver in game as a potential item.

    Specifically, Meso N5

     

    Commentary:  I just got MR5 and am trying to put together a gearset that will last me a while as I've hit a content brick wall at Uranus.  Enemies are nigh impossible for me to kill.  Maybe I went too fast unlocking planets.
