thanks but i don't read that language so i'm just assuming you're full of bull crap

on the left side, there's a list of languages. click on "english".

it would lead you to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhuge_Liang

it's literally what noamuth posted, third post down.

seriously my "bull crap" is literally taught as part of my chinese history curriculum. there are just some things you simply can't avoid in hong kong education.

hell, the story with the three dynasties has been made into one of the four great classical novels in chinese literature.

No better way to kill my desire to respect something than to tell me I must respect it.

    I'll call it "mastery fodder."

I mean, I'm just telling you guys the proper pronunciation. I didn't force it down your throats or anything.

  3. It's pronounced "joo guh" (not exactly "joo", but close enough; I'm not going into detail about how to pronounce the "zh" pinyin).

It is named after Zhuge Liang, a famous Chinese tactician during the Three Kingdoms dynasty. He invented the repeating crossbow, which is called the "Zhuge Crossbow", hence, "Zhuge".

Don't you even dare call it "zshuj".

  4. I actually do want VR to be implemented, such as how it is implemented in Crysis 2 (split screen, easily found in the game settings). I have a Google Cardboard headset that I would love to play Warframe on.

To be honest, I don't really think it's going to be too difficult. It's literally a camera for each half of the screen. Resolution is going to stay the same so I don't think performance impact is going to be that severe.

  5. To be honest, I kinda like the design. Of course there are some places which I'm not a fan of (torso and head looks a little too much like Nekros with the Raknis helmet; legs look kinda cheesy), but I actually find the overall design to be rather fascinating, what with the whole Egyptian-Scifi fusion look going on.

Hopefully DE doesn't pull a Chroma, though. We all knew how that one went, when a badass dragon player concept was turned into an infested mass of Twizzlers.

  6. Reminds me of the Facets project by Justin Maller.

It's very nice, and I really like the minimalism of the geometric shapes. If this was a bit more vibrant and the nyx a brighter color, this would be wallpaper material.

  7. Well, there are many different sorts of PC builds utilizing different parts from different manufacturers, prices ranging from dirt cheap to sky high.

You also need to know that building a PC is pretty simple, but is still pretty tedious and time-consuming to set up. You'll also need basic knowledge on what the different parts do. Look up some tutorials online; there are tons of resources on the Internet that can help you build your first PC.

First thing to do is to set a budget for your PC. The second part, which is the "hardest", is picking out the parts that you want. The third is actually building it. The fourth is booting it up and installing Windows on it.

If you want to max out the graphics in Warframe, you might want to invest in an Nvidia graphics card for PhysX, due to Warframe's PhysX support, which makes the game particles look absolutely stunning.

Of course, if you're completely new, you can always just put your budget here (or some other tech community such as the Linus Tech Tips forums) and the tech experts can help you pick out the parts that will best fit your budget.

  8. M8, you should stop saving your screenshots in the .jpeg format; it's a lossy compression format better suited for photography, and it makes the images look awful with all the noise and artifacts.

Try doing it again, but this time saving the images in a .png format. That is, if you wish to bother doing the whole thing again.

    Still, really nice work.

  9. To be honest, video games are just interactive bunches of art mashed together by artists. The interactive story, the music, the 2D textures and concept art, the 3D models, the layout, everything is art. If you don't believe me, just play The Second Dream; the story aspect of it is overwhelmingly emotional, and coupled with great visuals, it's a masterpiece to be enjoyed.

So yes, video games are art.
