    LoS is going to be 'better' implemented further throughout warframe going by what Pablos said recently. DE don't care what we want, but they do care about where we spend our money. DE likes to gaslight us. They have had a lot of practice (11 years).

    I would give your post a 'like' but as there is a limit on being able to do that - which is another way to skew statistics - and just so many, many posts on this topic now, i can only wait and watch as the list of comments of unhappy warframe players grows.
    Dante shouldn't have been given a wedgie and turned into a locker warframe, but as you say he might upset the much loved Meta DE salute as being acceptable. No one else thinks Dante can be another Saryn, Mirage or Octavia. Maybe Dante is an excuse to introduce changes to screw us over progressively on the rest of the game DE will gradually 'update' that none want updated in that manner.
    Makes no sense to provide what looks and plays like being an excellent warframe then gutting him, all the while telling us what needs to be fixed (overshield), and not fixing that, but changing something that no one said needed to be changed (damage).
    The transparency we get from DE is fake. Its gaslighting.

    Come on DE, this game and this community are like a second home to me. I've interacted with some of the nicest people in this game. This game helped me relax when I went through some real messed up sh*t. But this level of disingenuity from the devs is taking away my will to run this game anymore. Pls, listen to what we are saying. We love this game and we know you do too. I wouldn't be typing this stuff if it happened once or twice but we have seen plenty of such things happen unfortunately.

    LoS is here to stay and its going to be used further as i understand what's been said about it from Pablo.
    Warframe is slowly dying and DE has the knife in their own hand. Its nerf after nerf after nerf ad infinitum.
    Dante was balanced and fun to play when he was born, the 'tiny tweak' we were told would happen was actually the drop of a guillotine instead.
    And this after DE Rebecca said Dante was well-balanced.
    For a long while now a running joke with DE about the ever-present nerf hammer, which isn't actually funny.
    Most of my clan and alliance stopped playing Warframe a while back but i stuck with it because its my favourite game of all time.
    Am going to miss the Warframe i came to love. Its been a large part of my life for several years now. I even got to LR4.
    Can't trust Devs that lie to us, because liars don't stop lying, all the while we support them by funding Warframe.
    There are no words for how disappointed I am with Warframe now.  :(

    DE Rebecca said that Dante was 'well-balanced' when initially talking about Dante, and later, that he was going to get a tiny tweak.
    At one of the game events DE attended in the not too far distant past, one of the last things DE Rebecca said to us on stage was to call us LOSERS. Yes, the players that keep DE in business are losers...
    Some jokes just don't work quite right.

    One silver lining that came from this mistake is that we have decided we will revisit older LoS checks to use this improved version in a future update.

    Old LoS check:
    We do a raycast, basically draw a line from you to the enemies center and if nothing interrupts the line along the way they are considered on sight. Raycasts ignore other enemies.
    Additionally we had a bug that prevented it from working on ragdolled enemies, so if they were pulled by vortex or whatever they were totally invisible to the ability.

    The main problem with this approach(aside from the huge ragdoll bug) is that a single raycast can easily trigger as false if for example there is a small railing between you and the enemy. Abilities like Radial Blind, Vast Untime and Rotorswell for example use this same logic right now. 

    New LoS check:
    First if the enemy is within 5 meters we don't do LoS at all, we just assume they are visible. Then checks if the enemy is being rendered, which works for any enemies on screen, so if you see even their pinky toe, they are considered visible. Then for enemies behind you instead of one raycast it does three, one to the top, another to the center and finally to the feet and if any of them are successful, then we determine it is visible, this means false blocks are much less likely.

    Again, this should've never happened, but we will try to make the best of it, and hopefully the overall game will end up better for it.

    You (DE) botch it is an understatement, and yet you still aren't listening to the player base.
    You are so right that this SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED and no the game wont end up better for it because players are looking to replace Warframe with something else now.
    We are tired of being gaslighted. DE Steve, way back, said in a Devstream that DE wouldn't nerf the strongest frames/weapons but would work on bringing the rest up to par instead. Doesn't look like Warframe has reached this particular evolution yet and probably never will, sadly.
    My clan and alliance mostly no longer play warframe for while now, and now i am losing interest too. I even made it to LR4.
    The only way to 'improve' the changes is to remove them. They don't make the game better or Saryn, Mirage, Octavia, etc would have received the same nerf already.

    Rebecca's hype was Dante is 'well-balanced'. Dante arrives and players go woohoo and spend orokin catalyst and forma on him, then proceed to delight in his game play. Dante WAS well-balanced but he was nerfed within a week. Does DE use a different dictionary to the rest of us on what 'well-balanced' means?

    Now he is basically MR fodder. Its not like he could have cleared maps like Saryn or Mirage etc, so why rekt him this way?!
    We were stupid, naive to believe what DE said about Dante. He came out of the box too perfect and now he is going to be Mastery Rank fodder for many players. Then your statistics will show he is no longer too popular so 'balance' returns.

    Wtf do you expect with a new warframe? That EVERYONE won't use him as much as they can to get a feel for him and how they want to play him?
    He was NERFED WITHIN A WEEK. It takes time to farm a warframe and 3.5 days to build it.
    YOU KNOW BETTER THAN THIS AS YOU HAVE BEEN BUILDING WARFRAME FOR 11 YEARS.

    LoS of 5m = face to face with the enemy. What Caster stands nose-to-nose with the enemy? None!
    Takes more room than that to crack a stock whip effectively unless you want to wrap it around your neck.
    Dante is a wizard warframe and his magic needs LoS to work... ludicrous!
    LoS = now needing to use a LOT more energy because have to cast Dante's 4th a lot more frequently. Its not like we don't have to do that anyway and now we need to do it more frequently. On SP Dante will die casting 2+2+4 because his skills are slow even with Natural Talent. He is a busy warframe to use and you decided he needs to be even busier FFS.

    So, when can we expect this update on Saryn, Mirage, Octavia and the other room nuking warframes to bring a more 'balanced' play style to Warframe?

    The players that don't like Dante's Overguard now get to avoid doing missions where Dante is part of the group if they want to avoid his Overguard (unless they use dragon keys).
    Dante actually needs his Overguard for survivability.

    Imagine what its like NOT being able to group with 2 popular warframes: Volt and Wisp, because their speed buffs aggravate simulator sickness (this causes players to feel physically ill). There is no gaining additional tolerance to this over and above what's needed to manage simulator sickness in the first place.

    The only way to play warframe without being aggravated in whatever fashion by another players warframe abilities is to avoid grouping with that/those warframes.

    DE doesn't actually care enough about the issue to find a fix for it. DE is more concerned with providing a well-balanced warframe, getting us excited about it, then nerfing it inappropriately (because they addressed the wrong issue within a week of its release).
    - DE even said there was NOTHING wrong with Dante's damage, and some players just wanted his Overguard adjusted.

    Why piss off what might be a majority of the player base on purpose when we are DE's bread and butter?! Why do it?
    If Dante was as 'well-balanced' as we were told (by Reb?) and Reb said Dante will only be TWEAKED, why has the warframe been gutted?!
    Why do this on purpose?! Why lie?!

    Players PAID for what they DIDN'T get in the end. The Forma, Orokin Reactors and our time aren't free (because it costs one or the other).

    Then there is the other (incomplete list of) nerfs:
    - Arca Titron, faction mods...
    - Nezha gets an augment that makes him viable as a nuker but you nerf it and leave Saryn untouched (as an example).
    Augments are meant to enhance game play not neuter it.
    - Melee guidance had some unfortunate side-effects, but...
    - Mirage's Prism has been mentioned as getting a nerf...

    Enemies with Crowd Control immunity (ex: Overguard) have had the following interactions removed:
    - Frost's Ice Wave Impedance Augment (specifically the frozen trail that slows them)
    - Rhino’s Stomp (slow effect)
    - Primary Obstruct (weapon jamming)
    - Exodia Epidemic (enemy suspension)
    - Zenurik Temporal Drag (slow effect)
    - Wisp’s Breach Surge (blind)
    - Halikar (disarm)
    - Mesa’s Muzzle Flash (blind)
    - Proboscis Cernos (stun and pull)
    - Mag’s Counter Pulse Augment (robotics disabling and disarm)
    - Mag’s Fracturing Crush Augment (immobilization)
    - Malicious Code (immobilization)
    (these were missing in the patch notes)

    ... just add these to the ever-growing list of the already nerfed.

    If 'balanced' means becoming more mediocre because nothing is allowed to stand out, to be outstanding, then Warframe's 'endgame' is only going to be one of mediocrity (and FrameFashion can't save that).
    Everyone that believed DE's hype on Dante is owed a refund on the resources (pity about the time) they wasted.
    DE "fixing"a frame that didn't need fixing while 10 year old bugs still remain, is a wrong focus.

    As the "The Nerfening" appears to be getting used more frequently and with ever increasing gusto, maybe its time to find a replacement for Warframe.
    The choices: give warframe a quick death or experience its dying piece by piece, bit by infested bit...
    Warframe WAS the best game i ever played.

    I hate to think what DE are going to do with the Jade warframe later in the year.
    In a Warframe Devstream a long, long time ago (I remember watching that one), DE Steve said they wouldn't nerf the strongest frames/weapons but would work on bringing the rest up to par instead. Doesn't look like Warframe has reached this particular evolution yet and probably never will, sadly.
    Warframe might have made that first glorious step towards that better, more elegant and more tasteful direction with Dante, but DE couldn't help getting another Nerfgasm out of it instead which (sadly) hastens its demise.

How about instead of making the ability worse or needing more bandaids than a paper mill, we update Chroma to the current decade and let Rage/HA work off Overguard because (as is) Overguard has nothing going for it beyond it's super short gating. It doesn't get DR which means it gets shredded like harder than Rich Piana beyond double digit enemy levels.

    Those that have a problem with the spread of Dante's Overguard, now get to join the players that have issue with not being able to play warframe as they like because of Volt and Wisp's speed buffs aggravating simulator sickness. Get used to disappointment because DE doesn't give a damn.
    If players don't want to experience another warframe's 'buffs' they have no option other than to avoid being in group with said 'problem' warframes.

So.. in an effort to not waste forma/reactors when a new warframe is released we need to wait a month or two (or six?) to see how DE is going to nerf the warframe, but then if we did that there would be no valie usage stats to go by with which to see if the warframe 'needs' to be nerfed. Dante was balanced out of the box is the impression i got from what DE have said about Dante and yet Dante has been nerfed.
    Long time ago DE Steve said DE was going to work on bringing the not so good up to a better standard than nerfing the good stuff down to a worse standard... and yet the nerfing continues back to a worse state.

    That 'GIT GUD SCRUB LOL' is half the reason people avoid conclave. People who want to be rulers of an anthil rather than play an actual pvp game and get dunked on. 

    Saying its just a skill test doesn't mean they are being insulting, saying GIT GUD SCRUB.
    It does take some 'skill' as in timing to avoid being whacked while being able to whack the other players. Lag/ping also has a say in it though.  xD
    Unfortunately PvP tends to attract toxic players. Doesn't mean all PvP players are toxic though.

    Now that i have completed the event, there is no reason to re-enter Conclave xD.
    I did see a map I havent seen before (because i don't do Conclave) and it reminded me of The First Descendant.

    Maybe other players don't bother reporting it. There are a lot of players that don't bother reporting glitches they find.
    My mouse software is up-to-date from the manufacturer and this only happens in Warframe on Duviri.
    My mouse is Logitech Ergo M575 Wireless Trackball Mouse. There are no extra buttons or programs running on it.

  12. Archon Hunt, Aboreal showdown at Oro Earth.
    This is THE WORST map for this hunt because of the current mechanics to the Archon fight, where its damn hard to actually get to the archon because its up on top of the building. Doesn't make the hunt harder so much as really annoying.
    The problem this time is when use operator, the operator spawns out of the warframe facing in the opposite direction to where the warframe is facing. When operator re-enters the warframe, again was facing in the opposite direction to where the operator was facing when looking at the warframe to enter it.
    So when enter and exit the warframe the player is facing 180 degrees from the direction they were travelling/facing.
    This makes it confusing/dizzying to re-orientate on the map.
    Best recommendation for archon hunt in this location is to avoid doing it. Next time am taking my own advice.

  13. Am using Cedo alt fire which hits enemies with 4 status effects.
    Am getting no credit for killing enemies afflicted by 4+ status effects regardless or whether its a mission such as Adaro, Sedna or missions on Steel Path.
    Have tried using Voruna for the 4 status effects and that didn't work either.
    Is this bugged or am i doing something wrong?

    Update: finally got it done.

  14. I bought the Boar incarnon genesis. Have done 1st evolution. On trying to get 2nd evolution - complete a solo mission with this weapon equipped, it wont give it to me.
    I set game matchmaking to solo, did the mission solo and game wont provide the second evolution.
    I restarted Warframe, verified files and still 2nd evolution is not available.
    I restarted PC, did solo mission again and 2nd evolution won't unlock.
    1st evolution is unlocked but it won't proc regardless of how many headshots are taken.
    I tried only equipping Boar Incarnon but that didn't work.
    I equipped all 3 incarnon weapons: Boar Prime incarnon, Synoid Gammacor incarnon, Praedos and did solo mission and when i entered mission game acknowledged incarnon evolution in progress for the Synoid Gammacor. Game hasn't done this for Boar Prime incarnon. When I went to Cavalero after completing the solo mission, Evolution II upgrade for Gammacor was available. Evolution II for Boar Prime is still unavailable.
    In the Arsenal, Gammamor has Incarnon info on it to the right side of screen but Boar Prime doesn't.
    At Cavalero I 'remove incarnon', re-equipped incarnon on Boar Prime, did solo mission with Boar Prime equipped and game didn't acknowledge incarnon task to be completed on Boar Prime. I completed solo mission and returned to Cavalero and Evolution II is still unavailable on Boar Prime.

    Difference in Arsenal between Boar Prime with incarnon genesis equipped and Synoid Gammacor with incarnon genesis equipped.

    Synoid Gammacor evolution task in progress acknowledged by game when I enter mission, but this doesn't happen with Boar Prime incarnon.

    Prism Angstrum - the 4th evo = kill 30 enemies afflicted with 4+ status effects. Nothing has worked to this point including Cedo alt fire which has forced 4 status procs, and it didnt work using it on Sedna SP survival.

    I went to SP survival to do Anku incarnon: activate the weapon's incarnon form 10 times, and after activating once in mission (so am up to 4 activations) it wouldn't activate again in the mission.

    And i cant do Incarnon Prisma Gorgon Genesis because i don't have the required resources which includes pathos clamps, like for the other bought incarnon genesis on weapons i have been working at for which I hadn't farmed any pathos clamps for those either and yet i had pathos clamps available to do the incarnon genesis evolutions for 3 weapons that require pathos clamps.
     

    UPDATE:
    I accidently put Incarnon Genesis for Boar on base Boar, not Boar Prime.
    In an attempt to fix what I thought was a bug I ended up wasting 20 Pathos Clamps I can't replace (at this time).  :(
     

  15. Kahl's sabotage missions can rot.
    I have spent many hours trying to get through them (more than once) in an attempt to maybe get more of the objectives done.
    I had to get another player in discord VC to show me how to do the mission to be able to complete it the first time.
    The last run to find the 4 k-drive parts, took 2hr 16min to only be able to find one. Could hear the chime of the second part but searching the map in the area 360deg., in 3D didn't locate it. I even used a map made by other players on where to find the k-drive part spawn points.

    I have never had so much no-fun playing warframe as trying to get the Kahl mission objectives done.
    I've made an effort to be able to play Warframe reasonably well. I collected all the Warframes, weapons etc, put effort into mod configs, and now I don't get to use them.
    Its also a pain not knowing what's intended or a glitch instead, as i keep finding those.
    Welcome to find-the-needle-in-the-haystack - something i hate.
    At least with farming Voidplumes we have loot detection mods and the Golden Instinct helminth ability.

    The maximum Stock i might be able to farm each week from Kahl's Garrison is only 45 Stock which means it will take until the end of the year to farm enough Stock to buy out Chipper.
    Can only manage to do:
    1. Remove 5 Veils using Veilbreaker
    2. Collect 5 Genestamps
    3. Find and collect Chipper's Tools.
    and it wasn't fun.

    Can't use Styanax as using his 4th skill causes simulator sickness with how it changes my perspective.
    But you can use his other abilities! NOOOO! there is no point in using the warframe when I can't use the warframe's best skill.
    I couldn't finish the mod config on Styanax because using forma and re-leveling him made me feel too ill to continue playing.

    I can do the once-a-week Archon Sortie if it doesn't glitch on me, and some of it solo, so its not like i am incompetent.

    Correct. We can only align with one at a time.

    Cant really use ammo pads more often on Steel Path and the Archon hunts are SP, so we have to use weapons that don't effectively run out of ammo.

    Why is carpet bombing worse than nuking a map?

    Instead of nerfing ammo across the board (which ruins a lot of weapons), if AoE is the problem, just remove AoE.
    Then it doesn't suck for new players and everyone gets to kill enemies and there is no AFK.
    From what i have read of other players complaints its not AoE thats the problem by itself, its AFK that's the problem used in conjunction with AoE.
    The change to Wukong's Twin using ammo was ok but that's about it.

    Warframe is about being able to choose how we play missions.
    As long as players are able to wipe out a map in the shortest time possible, players are going to keep wiping out a map in the shortest time possible.
    If its not with AoE weapons it will be with AoE warframes.

    Is everything we like using going to continue to be nerfed because we 'all' like using it?
    We are being punished for liking playing Warframe in our own way if that way is the same as everyone else's.
    Few Devstreams back DE Steve said instead of nerfing the good stuff, the aim will be to bring the less used up to a better standard, but the nerfing continues.
    The (temporary) ammo nerf on weapon charging nearly killed the game. Nerfing ammo doesn't make it better for players that like playing solo. Playing solo is now a bad thing?

    And now with this new nerf-fest, everyone suffers, solo and group players.
    Trying to kill steel path enemies with ammo nerf, recharge nerf is ludicrous.

    I did my first archon sortie and the experience was so bad i never want to do it again.
    I soloed the mobile defence (10min), grouped up for the archon defence (40min), and soloed the archon hunt (90min because issues in game).
    I've made it to LR2, and i have reasonably good builds (as in i am not a beginner, having put 5,800+hrs into the game). I prefer to play solo (because reasons).
    The archon sortie was so very disappointing. It wasn't fun.
    It was a never ending pull the trigger until no ammo, then wait and wait and wait for ammo to recharge, then rinse and repeat, and repeat.... ad nauseam.
    I was instead meant to use a weapon where I was meant to run out of ammo? How is that meant to improve my experience and fun of playing Warframe?
    Its meant to be a challenge? Says who?! And define 'challenge'.
    I want to enjoy playing Warframe. I want to be space ninja and slaughter everything i see. That's why i use mods, and level my gear.

    Its the never ending nerf after nerf after nerf, and i don't use the boom & zoom, i don't stick to the meta,  but i am being punished for it regardless.
    I was looking forward to the new content, but its just a nerf-fest. and by the time i had finished the Archon Hunt i was left with feeling I don't want to play Warframe any more, instead of looking forward to how much fun its going to be.

    I don't understand why we are being punished for using what the game provides, then being told because everyone likes 'whatever' too much, we can't do that any more.
    There is no compensation for taking the fun out of the game.

    I wonder if the Duviri Paradox will leave Warframe dead in the water.
    Warframe was my favorite game but this nerf-fest has killed it.

    If can find an accolade (accolade's chime is meant to activate when we are within 25m of it), Melica won't spawn unless and until we are within range of her, and that range is sometimes as small as about 12m. She will NOT spawn after we pick up an accolade just because we picked up the accolade.
    I wanted to re-check what the distance is meant to be on how far away we can be from Melica and see her active spawn location, and warframe wiki no longer has this.
    In the past there can also be a sizeable delay on her spawning when we are within range, so it has been possible to go past her and out of range by the time she does appear active on the map.
    When the map is the size of the African continent, this is a problem, and Melica and the accolade being on 'the same or adjacent tiles', still leaves a really large area to search when she might not spawn unless we are just about standing on top of her.

    Am not going to bother with accolades any more.
    For the generally wasted time spent either trying to find accolades or Cephalon Melica, am better off just looking for the other voidplumes.
    Then what's sometimes a 30+min. mission is only 15min.
    When we can get up to 11 voidplumes per mission, not bothering with zariman accolade (1-2 quills worth 2,500 standing each.) isn't going to hurt much.
    Voidplume quills are available from more than just finding and depositing Zariman Accolades if particularly need Voidplume Quills.
