  1. I always get lost in large Cetus Caves. I've been playing for years and I still do. The only good thing about having a PS4 right now is that by the time I load into Cetus, the first bounty stage of Plague Star is usually over.

It's not exactly realistic to ask DE to remove caves or anything like that. It's not like I dislike them either, I just hate getting lost. I see people use Loc-Pins on the cave entrances and that helps a lot when they drop that so I thought I'd start building Loc-Pins and using them, too. But you have to build them one-by-one and that's extremely inefficient for something that is just a gear item of which you will probably use a lot of.

DE, can we please get a x5 or x10 Loc-Pin Blueprint?

But nodes are the biggest time sink and yeah you don't need all nodes but grinding through 91 missions kills it for a lot of people

You. Don't. Need To. Do. All. Nodes. To. Access, The. New. Upcoming. Content.

It's like you didn't read anything I wrote. The New War is the point you need to hit to do Whisper in the Walls. You can strategically avoid tons of nodes and still accomplish this. You don't need to unlock arbitration or do Steel Path at all. "Skipping nodes" does literally nothing to solve the problem or help players complete New War in time for the new content.

Also, Nodes are not even a time sink. Most missions can be completed in under five minutes. You can do a whole planet in like an hour. When Steel Path unlocked, I did every SP mission in about a week of casual grind, and I don't consider myself to be above average of a player.

  3. The point of the Skip is so new players can get to the new content quickly. That means they need to have a Nechromech, a Railjack, an Amp and have completed Natah, The Second Dream, The Chains of Harrow, Apostacy Prologue, The Sacrifice, Prelude to NW and The New War.

You don't have to complete all the nodes for this or have unlocked Steel Path at all. So skipping nodes does nothing to help the issue the skip is trying to solve.

And arrogance is assuming that others sharing their opposing opinion think they are superior. Do you realize we haven't even seen all the rewards yet? They've only listed up to the first 10 weeks with the teaser website showing there is at least one more week of rewards and events and possibly more things beyond that.

You see "reused rewards" and everyone else who likes to consider future players sees the ability for new players to also get anniversary items, which costs veterans nothing.

    1. Calling people 'entitled', is inherently insulting. You aren't giving opinions on the topic, you are just being jerks. An opinion would be, "I think what we got was fine", not "You guys are entitled." That's just a straight up attack. So do act so surprised that people are upset by what you said.

    2. No one is upset that they are giving out the old rewards for the new players, they just want the rewards to be relevant for everyone, so it's still a reward for those who already have it, otherwise it's essentially nothing for them. And those same players getting what to them is a new shiny toy will, next year, be in the same boat as 'veterans'. It's not like this is a small part of the community, because old players almost certainly outnumber new ones and everyone who continues to play Warframe will eventually be in this position anyway year after year.

    Way to sound entitled, people.

How is it entitled to want to get something (not something big, either, like almost anything really that we could actually use, like a riven, 5,000 Kuva, forma, riven pack, anything) from an alert that is meant as a thank you for playing Warframe for many years and supporting the company and this game? Veterans who have invested a lot of time, effort and money into playing Warframe and interacting with the community are realistically the people DE should probably be thanking the most and yet we really didn't get much. I'm not even upset, just disappointed. Obviously it's probably to late to do anything about it this time and they are busy with Duviri, but asking DE to think about ways to change this in the future is not asking much.

  6. Congratulations Warframe on 10 years, it's amazing that I've been playing this game for about 6 years now and still love it. Last year I missed the anniversary and didn't pick up the Wisp Dex Skin so it's nice I can pick that up and others can pick up the very lovely other Dex skins, weapons, armor and syandana, etc.

    That being said...

Barring the Wisp skin, I have everything in the alerts already. Granted, I can get extra versions of the Noggles, but doing the alerts for skins will get me nothing. Will the weapons at least give me an extra slot? I hope so but, I'm not sure. While I'm happy that new players can pick up all the great gifts DE has given us throughout the years, for Veterans who have been playing Warframe along with DE for 10 years, the alerts are a poor reward that doesn't thank us for our continued play or encourage us to log on. It would have been nice if in place of the cosmetics we already have--that you can only have one of--we could have gotten built forma, or Aya, or Steel Essence or something. The Aura forma with the Excal skin was really awesome but asking for more than one of those is maybe a lot.

  7. A lot of the older frames have bad passives. i also feel Mags is pretty lame, though I'll admit it is act least useful for new players, whereas some aren't useful ever. I like the idea of the vacuum range stacking. Even at higher levels, you can never have too much vacuum and it would be a very minor change. I think a lot of the other suggestions are a bit too much considering how good Mag is already.

Something related to buffing sentinels might be nice, since they need all the help they can get and are generally something early players rely on, but will also help people who use sentinels in general when they play mag. Somethign like, extra lives for sentinels, extra healing, evasion or something.

  8. There is a cloak-syandana and bandana/chest piece and shoulder armor in the workshop that I want desperately that fits together to look like a seamless piece.

If your idea could be adapted into multiple pieces like this then maybe it would be more viable?

(btw, freaking love the Teplo Syandana, I have it on a lot of frames, thank you for creating it!)

  9. Ya'll, that garbled info is the Magnetic status. It's common fighting Corpus and Corrupted units, and Eidolons. Transference static is similar iir.

Basically how combo works is you have to build up the combo with hits. Until you build up enough to get 2X combo, it will be a small bar and a small number and the bar will degrade really quickly. Adding Combo duration with mods, your focus school or arcanes makes the bar go down slower, or degrade instead. The amount of hits needed to get to combo is determined by your combo chance. Basically 20 hits gets you to 2X unless you have a negative combo chance from a riven or something (if you have -100% combo chance on your riven it is literally impossible to get a combo with normal hits). Other mods can increase your combo chance, such as [Quickening]. The 2X is the big noticeable number on the UI until then it is a pretty small bar. If you switch to shooting, the numbers on the UI will disappear but if you switch to melee they will reappear provided you haven't lost combo because you timed out with your combo duration.

  10. Lately I have seen this during Eidolon hunts happening to me, which makes sense since you get knocked down a lot if you miss jump times. Sometimes I can zoom in with my primary and shoot and kind of hop, but no other actions work, just constantly facing in one direction in a fixed pose and have difficulty moving and inability to use abilities.  An additional 'fix' is to fall down into the water in Plains of Eidolon and "respawn". I dont get this bug anywhere else but I suspect falling down a hole to 'respawn' will correct it as well. However, going in and out of operator can sometimes trigger it again.

  11. There are probably a bunch of these threads on the forum already, but they are probably old at this point, so here's another for the pile I guess.

    Background

At the end of the New War quest we see a physical manifestation of the Man in the Wall and hear his voice, and since its release people have been wondering what exactly he said, and what it means. (Embedded below is a YT snippet of the moment in the quest of the Man in the Wall's words)

    Previous Theories

During Tennocon 2022 in the Sounds of The System Panel, this scene is discussed starting at 8:51. They specifically discuss the words at 11:19.

    Quote

"It's cool, too, that it's got those words in there that the writing team came up with that he says. I don't know, has anyone kind of figured out, or well, deciphered, what it is?"

"There's been some very valiant attempts. I've heard some Youtube videos where they've pitched it up where you can really get close, but no one has found it yet."

    Source Clip: https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkxn8_5LEj9uE6I7_ATn3yxI3Py1NdOkvgI

The Tennocon 2022 Art Panel also discusses him

I've tried to look into what other people have theorized about it, but I haven't actually found very much. This is a good YT video that I assume reflects what most people have theorized about it so far. (You do not have to watch it but it gives some good background information later on that is relevant to what I will be saying, along with this person's theory):

In this particular video, the YT creator Ravens Truth says:

    Quote

"I couldn't make heads or tails at all, of like anything being said, but going by what some other people in my comments have said, they said it kind of sounds like he's saying "Vome" and "Xata" at some point. But they didn't know if what they were interpreting what true or not, but I didn't have anything else to go on so I had to go look them up, what each of them meant [...] So while looking this up in the Warframe wikia to find out what each word meant, there's actually a theory on that page. I'm not sure if it's true because I don't know who wrote it or what's the credibility but on the page it says that he [The Man In The Wall] specifically says a few words."

I am not sure of the exact comment he's referring to on the warframe wikia page, but the theory this video talks about it actually referenced on this page currently in the trivia, and mentioned that this theory has been proven incorrect by information given by the Tennocon 2022 panel.

    Quote

The Man in the Wall's distorted speech is theorized among the community to be "Oull - Ris - Xata - Vome. Khra - Lohk", referencing the Requiem Mods. However, this was later confirmed during TennoCon 2022's "Sounds of the System" panel to be incorrect, and the actual message is yet to be deciphered.[4]

So the theory in this YT video is incorrect, but I think the idea that the words have something to do with the requiems is on the right track.

    My Theory

Firstly, if you listen to the dialogue closely, one of the only clear things you can hear does indeed sound like "Xata" so the idea that the words have something to do with the Requiem mods make sense, despite the theory that he says "Oull - Ris- Xata - Vome - Khra - Lohk" being untrue. Personally I think it was obvious that it was untrue because while the audio is difficult to decipher, certain hard sounds would still be identified like the 'kuh' in Lohk and clearly it isn't there if you pay attention. The only 'Kuh' sound is in the part that is supposed to be "Vome" ( in actuality the dialogue sounds more like "kohm" here) when you actually try to line up the requiem mods with the dialogue. So even without DE shooting down this theory is doesn't pan out after even cursory investigation. And yet clearly the dialogue does say 'Xata', so what's really going on here?

When you look at the requiem mods themselves, you may notice a few things:

    14_Warframe-The-Parazon-Requiem-Mods-Mad

Each mod has a symbol, the name, and 2 phrases separated by a space.

I believe this space is important. All of the words have 2 phrases and almost all of the names have 4 letters, except 2, Netra and Ris which have 5 and 3 respectively, which still adds up to 2 letters to a phrase. I believe that each two letter in the string of requiem names is a 'syllable' that stands in for one of the phrases, and that the Man In the Wall is speaking these syllables to refer to the phrases. So the words Fass-Jahu-Khra-Lohk-Netra-Ris-Vome-Xata becomes fa-ss-ja-hu-kh-ra-lo-hk-ne-tr-ar-is-vo-me-xa-ta, and for example 'hk' would correspond to "By that which bears no name", 'ar' would mean "in luminous space blackened starts", etc.

So, when I listen now to the dialogue I can string together syllables that come much closer to what the dialogue actually sounds like. I think the way the words were processed, as well as the interpretation of the sounds by the person who recorded the words and/or the writers who were trying to fuse these syllables into actual words someone could say, is what might account for any discrepencies from the syllables and what we hear int he dialogue.

So to the best of my ability to discern, what The Man in the wall is actually saying is: "vo-ne-xa-ta-hk-me-ra-ar-hu." which ends up sounding kind of like voh-nell zatah kuum rah-ahr-who, because of

And if we line up the phrases from Requiem mods, this translates to:

    To cosmic madness, laws submit.
    Carrion hordes trill their profrane:

"It's heralds are the stars it fells
    The sky and earth aflame
By that which bears no name"

    We end as we began
    In luminous space blackened stars
    As suns and love retreat

    Now what does this mean?

A lot of people have theorized that the Man In the Wall wants to break out from the void and into the world, but I think this sequencing of the phrases reveals his actual motive is the opposite: The Man in the Wall IS 'the void', not merely an entity within it, and the void itself is a singularity (a black whole) that wants to swallow the universe into himself, essentially un-big-banging the universe. I'm sure there are others who have also believed this to be the case in the past, but this sequencing of the poem phrases makes it clear, describing The Man in the Walls ultimate goal.

To cosmic madness laws submit - this refers to how physics breaks down at the point of a singularity/black hole.

Carrion hordes trill their profrane - Carrion are creatures or being which feed on the dead. Something is dying, and carrion are gathering around the death, it being the death of a star.

It's heralds are the stars it fells - "it" AKA The Man in the Wall, announces or warns of his arrival by destroying stars. These destroyed stars are of course the collapse of massive stars into black holes at the end of their lifetime.

The sky and earth aflame/By that which bears no name - Planets around the star are engulfed in energy given off by the supernova explosion of the collapsing star.

We end as we began/In luminous space blackened stars/As suns and love retreat - the universe began as a single point that contained all energy and matter in the universe before it exploded in the big bang. The star is now collapsing back into a singularity as it dies, swallowing all light and matter.

This interpretation makes perfect sense when you take into the account that at End of New World quest, Ballas tries to destroy the solar system by blowing up the sun and collapsing the solar system into the void. This is when the Man In the Wall appears to us and says the words, before this end is ultimately stopped by you and the Lotus.

The Man In The Wall being related to black holes is also supported by the fact that his missing finger is also used in the Reliquary Drive of your Railjack which allows your RJ to travel at faster than light speeds. A common theory of how such travel could be done is via worm holes, which are black holes that have two connecting openings allowing the transversal of space without having to cross the intervening distance between them. Other science fiction terms you might recognize to describe this 'hyperspace travel' or using 'stargates'.

Furthermore, the introduction of The Man in the Wall to the Tenno happened during the Zariman tragedy, which we know from the Angels Of Zariman to be the result of a 'void jump' gone wrong, where the ship became trapped in the void--in the worm hole/hyperspace.

Essentially I think this all points to The Man In The Wall not being an entity trapped in the void, or some being wanting to use you to leave the void. No, he is the personification of a natural force in the universe which governs the void, and can be described to include the ideas of entropy or gravity in physics. Rell and others call him "The Indifference", because he isn't necessarily evil but neither does he have any empathy or sympathy. He is a force that seeks to return the universe to the nothingness of the big bang by swallowing everything in the universe into the void.

I expect up to 3hrs per Lich and I try to do everything possible to shorten that time... 😁

3-4 hours is about average for me as well. My personal method is not necessarily the fastest but I would say it's the most hassle-free for me.

First I do pub murmur farms on other people's nodes to unlock 2 rings.

Then in solo or hosting my own pub, I put both known mods on my Parazon and a random mod then run my missions and stab my lich until I know the correct first mod.

Sometimes I get lucky and it's done at step two because I guessed the last mod right. Other times I have to keep stabbing because both known mods are in the wrong order. Since stabbing gives more murmurs I go through the last ring faster. Usually I can kill my Lich before it's rank 4. I don't like to rank up my Lich too much because it makes certain mission types more difficult, particularly rescue and excavation, the defense targets just aren't very tanky especially if your lich drops in.

  13. Hi, I've actually been trying to make my own version of this particular song myself but I can't get it to turn out recognizable, I'm just not that great with the mandachord I guess. I was wondering if you would be interested in making a version for me and others. The song is 'Connected (yours forever) by Hydelic from the Tetris Effect OST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGWIjV7BNEw

The song is amazing and some of the sound effects are pretty reminiscent of Octavia's instrument packs so I feel like it should be possible. I'm mostly interested in either the opening instrumental, first verse, and/or the chorus. Whichever you can make work.

  14. There's no right way to do Liches, there are faster, longer or easier ways to do it. I have not read every post on this thread, but I read the original post and the reply that claimed everything the OG poster said was wrong. From my perspective, they both said some good things and bad things. I'm going to try to make this easy to read and understand without quoting anyone, so some of this information may be duplicated by a post from someone earlier, but from myself also having done almost 40 liches, here is what I've learned. I'm not going to tell you how to get your murmurs, you can decide from the knowledge I give you.

How many Thrawls are in a mission

There is a cap of 10 thralls that appears similar in every mission type, but whether you can reach this cap has more to do with enemy density and spawns in the particular mission type than anything else. Thrawls spawn as you kill enemies, to get lots of Thrawls you need to kill lots of enemies. Some missions spawn a lot of enemies, some don't. In that respect, a survival or interception is the best mission to play to make certain you can reach the cap. Lich nodes on early star chart planets like Earth or Venus tend to spawn way less enemies, so doing a fast mission like an extermination there is a bad idea. However, if your lich spawns on a later star chart planet like Sedna, the enemy density is way better, so you generally can hit the cap, thus extermination there is fine. That being said, if you rush through a short mission you probably won't reach the cap before you get to extraction. If you spend more time in the mission killing, you can still reach the cap as long as enemies are still on the map so it's not a big deal. In general, rescue, capture and spy tend to keep spawning enemies after you complete the objective so they are okay too on most planets. You just need to make sure your teammates hang around with you and don't force extract you or anything. Also, going with teammates is generally a good idea, since more teammates means more enemies on the map.

    Lich-made Thralls

Liches do not SPAWN thralls. They CONVERT regular enemies into them. So if you were to kill all the enemies in a room except your Lich, you won't get any thralls. If you want to hang around for your Lich to make thralls, make sure you've got plenty of enemies around for them to convert. If needed sometimes you can lure them into each other to make sure there are enemies close enough to convert. The wiki claims you can get your Lich to spawn up to 10 thralls, 1 every 20 seconds, but in my experience that doesn't actually happen very often. I don't know if it's a bug or what, but depending on your Lich's quirk and just rng, you can usually get 5 thralls out of them, but other times they get stubborn and just won't, even if lots of enemies are around. I'm not sure what causes this, possibly just a coincidence of no enemies' in proximity at the precise time the conversion proc occurs. Also, if you want you Lich to hang around, don't beet them up. If you put your Lich down three times without stabbing them they will disappear on their own. Two liches cannot spawn at the same time, but more than one Lich can spawn in a mission, and it has nothing to do with whether you stab your lich or not as long as it's gone. I have had three Liches spawn in a mission. I have no idea if this effects the thrall cap, but like I said, you're lucky if you can get a decent amount of thralls out of your lich anyway.

    Spawning your Lich

I think we all know and agree that killing thralls pisses off your Lich and makes them more likely to spawn, but not everyone realizes that's not always a good thing. Lichs can kill rescue targets, defense targets and spawn right into spy vaults. If your Lich is likely to spawn you probably don't want to do that type of mission. Defenses are usually okay especially on larger maps if the Lich is at a low level since they won't have their strongest moves or be likely to spawn right on top of the defense target, but you never know. Failing a mission won't get you any murmurs you earned in that mission, even if you unlocked a ring. So if your lich spawns on the rescue target and kills him you lose all the murmurs you got until that point and have to start over. There is something of an exception however. If you kill/convert a lich but fail the mission afterward it still counts. You still get the weapon or the Lich once you get back to your orbiter. I know this to be true for certain because it has happened to me more than once, that my life support ran out or my rescue target was killed by the Lich I was trying to fight.

    Stabbing your Lich

Whether you want to stab your lich every time it appears from the beginning is up to you. Stabbing your lich gets you a chunk of murmurs, I don't know exact numbers but it's a decent amount. You should know however that stabbing your lich resets it's anger. Meaning it's less likely to appear again right away. Sometimes you get lucky and they do show up ready for more next misson, but more than likely it could take four or five missions until he/she decides to appear again. Their quirk can also effect this. Potentially it can be a lot faster to stab your lich, but if you stab them all the time without knowing any mods it could also be pretty slow and frustrating if you aren't lucky, since by the time you actually know the mods they will take their sweet time to appear. Personally I advise not to start stabbing until the second or third ring, because the first ring needs significantly fewer murmurs. Potentially, you can fill the whole ring up before your Lich ever shows up. So maybe wait until it starts to drag in the second or third ring, but it's up to you, technically the time is probably the same no matter when you do it if the amount is the same. It's also worth noting that leveling up a lich spreads his control and levels him up. If you struggle with the higher level of Lich nodes, you may want to avoid stabbing and leveling up your lich. If your lich spawned on an early planet with low enemy density or on a planet with few nodes (cough Uranus) you may want to stab them just to get some more/better missions.

    Determining the Requiem Mod order

It's worth noting that there's no way to determine the order of the mods without unlocking the rings, in essence, there's no pattern to give you clues, it's just random order determined when the lich spawned. But it's also absolutely possible to kill/convert you Lich without unlocking rings. You can put random mods in your parazon, stab your lich once, and get crazy lucky. Look, I've forgotten a lot of my math so I could be making a fool of myself but I think it's 8 x 7 x 6 = 336, meaning it's 1/336 or 0.297% chance to blindly stab your lich and get it right on first guess. It's not great. The odds get way better as you learn mods, though. Generally speaking, it's worth putting a random, non-duplicated requiem mod in all your slots on the off chance you get lucky. I have absolutely put the 1 or two mods I knew in the first slots and a random one in the last and just got lucky. This has happened to me at least three times that I remember, out of 40ish Liches so it's not uncommon.

Many of you already know this but believe me when I say there are people who somehow still don't: A lich has 3 hp bars that do a mod check for each slot, in order. So when you stab the lich the first time, it checks your first mod. If a mod is right, it opens up the next hp and you can stab him again to check the next mod. If it's wrong, the lich leaves. This is how you can find out which of your mods are right or wrong. If you don't know all your mods, put the mods you know in the first slots, followed by any guesses. It's better to put known mods first because they have a 1/3 chance to be right, as opposed to a 1/8 chance to be right with a guess. If you fail a stab, move the failed mod back a space if it's a known mod, or if it's a guess just switch it with something else. If you stab without knowing any of your mods, you could be at it a while, if you stab knowing all your mods it should take AT MOST four stabs. An attempt knowing all your mods might look like this:

    1. stab: 123 (first wrong)
    2. stab: 213 (first right, second wrong)
    3. stab: 231 (correct)

Worst case scenario looks like this:

    1. stab 123 (first wrong)
    2. stab 213 (first wrong)
    3. stab 321 (first right, second wrong)
    4. stab 312 (correct)

So that's it. I hope it clears some things up. Feel free to ask questions.

  15. This data isn't in a particularly usable format for the average person. I'm not a data analytics professional.

While we're on the subject of rivens though, you know what would bring the prices and scamming down? Making the riven-rolling RNG less heinous. Just take off the stuff no one will ever want. -combo duration? That's not desirable. And it's not unbalanced because most rolls people actually use don't have a negative that makes a difference anyway. If I didn't have to roll 60 times to get something usable, good rivens would be more plentiful and therefore less expensive. Face it, the fact that a whole class of mods exist that can make your weapon WORSE is just mean.

Again, they don't start console development the day after PC gets their update. They work on PC and get it stable, and then a bit after, they send that much more stable build for console. Then they work on that conversion, and add solution for console specific issues or add newer hotfixes. There is a delay between development of PC and Console. Obviously people don't get that. Maybe that's why they don't understand what this in development thing means for us.

'Stablizing the PC version' is also in service to developing the console version. Presumably they've even been keeping console in mind as they made the PC version to begin with, even if they weren't working on code, etc. You could call that 'in development' too if you wanted. We don't have a definition for what 'in development' is or any idea how long that usually takes, all they say is: "The update is in development and is being put together and tested for each console platform before sending it to our partners for approval!" which includes so many different steps, that it doesn't give any indication how far along you are in the process. It's just a vague way of saying, 'we're working on it!' which we already had through other means before, such as the twitter and forum posts and various devstreams, even if there wasn't a bar on the front page of the site, spelling it out. I'm not saying this is worse than before, but it's certainly not better. We didn't have any information we didn't have before when they weren't posting anything definite in official areas. Well, I take that back, maybe the players who really just don't pay attention to a single thing about upcoming updates, don't watch streams or look at news or the forum, will find it exciting to see it pop up in-game and wonder what it is, but for everyone else it's pointless, they just gave a name to the silent period before 'in cert' popped up. I mean it could be in certification right now, but it's all lumped together, so we don't know.

People seem to think gamers are impatient people who want things now now now, and I won't deny that sometimes it's true. Gamers can be the worst for sure. But most of the time I think we're willing to wait for something as long as we know when we're going to get it with some certainty. It's when developers are vague or keep moving the dates around that we start getting annoyed or angry.

I can't deny I'm impatient, but I want DE to not rush, to do things properly, and the employees to take care of themselves. Honestly if they considered how much time they think they will need and just added a week to that and gave me a date, I would be happier than this limbo, even if that date is further back than it would be otherwise. Hopefully after this first time of using this 'new system' we will have some better idea of how long this stage is, so it will actually have some value in the future.
