  1. I feel that mastery will never be an indication of skill due to the method in which mastery rank is obtained.

Like others have noted, there are better ways to distinguish skill level.

There are however, mastery plateaus that do indicate what weapons are obtainable and useable for a player,

and if this is a factor in choosing players for a group by others, than there's no reason to be salty, it's player

    choice.

Mastery does have some quality of life factors such as trade transaction increases, but until they add focus

or something that gives mastery rank an edge over other players, honestly, it's impact is minimal when it comes to

    player "effectiveness".

  2. Not exactly sure why it was absolutely needed for you to specify that you're a girl, but I agree with most of your points.

I don't consider myself a casual warframe player, and even then, I have issues keeping up with the grind some time, and when I actually sit and think about it, I have no idea how someone more casual than myself or my clannies could ever keep up with all the grind when we're barely making it...

Some grind walls need to fall, that's for sure, starting with fusion costs. I have thousands of cores, thousands of duplicates, but the cost needed to fuse stuff is just ridiculous for newer/more casual players, some things need to change.

^ So casual it's unreal smh.

     LoL.

But no, I'm in about the same range as you. It's more so the fact that the grind really does not bring much satisfaction for the increase of time it takes to achieve a goal. I feel more satifsfied getting a new frame that takes about 3-5 days 1000x times more than maxing a serration to the last rank for example.

I don't hate logical grind as long as the core gameplay is fun. Fun grind is all im asking for if grind is what is being imlpemented again and again.

  3. I suppose the point the OP is trying to get at is that the grind is getting to a state where it is becoming too consuming to the point

where even a finiacial investment into the game is not enough, and this is detering players who have limited time ( Having A Life is hopefully not directed at people I hope) to actually enjoy playing the game.

  4. I have many builds for the Braton : 3

Braton prime is just a buffy version.

    Typical: Serration, Split Chamber, Shred

Pure Dmg: Aim for- Heavy Cal, Elemental Dmg Type mods for the faction you are going up agaist.

Because the braton's dmg types are so evenly spread out, elmental dmg mods seem to be decent.

Because the braton series is so well rounded, just adjust it a bit to cater to your playstyle and the factions you are up against.

  5.    The first round of conclave usually ends up working fine. During the next round, players are able to play for a random period of time then teleport to a new location and the round "start" indication initiates again. The probelm with this is truly evident when a player is holding a cephalon. When the round resets so to speak, the cephalon is no longer in the game which results in a hung game where neither team can win or even end the match.

Another instance occurs after this match, where the screen becomes locked and the match becomes unplayable.

-Feed back- Players should be able to [esc] exit the game when problems like this occur, otherwise the only way to leave is restarting the client.

  6. Yes DE has a record TheErebus, but how does that translate over to other players being able to discern that fact?

    Just curious.

Or are you completely against the positive rep based system, if so, then I'm not sure what a possible solution would

be to allow players to personally be able to distingusih between more friendly players.

  7. No one would do that, they'd just skim through and see the -1s to see if he's bad or not. If there is none, then great! But even one -1 can make them doubt the player.

Still just a postive based system, no -1s, but just because there are people who are lazy does not mean something should not be implemented.

That's like saying we should not include instructions or tutorials because most people are lazy. I mean I do see your point, there are those people who will skim and create a bias of that person.

Blacklisting is neat, does not help against scammers so I don't see a problem with implementing both systems or intergrate it into one.

Anything that helps the player base should be discussed regardless.

  8.

Edit: Having a system where only positive rep can be gained/requires a certain MR/is invite only doesn't help either. What happens to players who don't play all the time & have less than the "average" amount of rep? They'll be looked at as "scammers" or the "bad crowd". What happens to players who have a decent amount of rep but are still scumbags? Say people give you good rep for reviving, being helpful in a mission, or answering questions, that doesn't mean that same guy won't scam someone in a key share.

You want to be optimistic, that's fine & dandy, but the truth of the matter is: people are scumbags. And yes, it's unfortunate.

Well, in response, the profile could list and also show long the player has played, how many missions they have been in etc. And their can be more than one catergory in which the player gains rep in, such as friendly, helpful, trustworthy etc. In this scenario the player at question can more throughly be analysed. Ex. Im looking into trading with someone, I can look at their profile and it may list how many trades the player has done, how long he has played for and this will hopefully show a relative scoring in relation to his time played.

This may not be a be all end all mechanic but it would be interesting.

  9. What if instead players would simply flag preferred/not preferred in regards to a player, and in the future they would not be matched if they has selected not preferred. This would also allow players so segregate the plague of afkers as well.

I like this idea, personally flaging someone you personal don't want to play with would be nice. Does'nt help much with flagging those who scam however. +1

  10. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but just have a system where only positive points can be obtained?

I guess alt accounts could happen but, at least it takes the negative trolling out of the way. In this regard, it would allow people

with a higher positive score to be more trusted.

I'm just throwing ideas out there, not sure if it would be feasible but it's something.

  11. As interesting as this sounds, I'm certain it would lead to more min/maxing of statistics. I'm personally more in favor of static numbers agumented by utility based additions and/or damage type modifications. I'm not a fan of the dmg mods such as serration since there considered more like "mandatory" mods.

Move away from mods and include weapon additions.

Sample: Bows would be allowed to have arrow head additions or modifications. ( Giving utility and altered damage types )

Bow's damage would then be based on the weapons level. Not only would this help the new player scaling, it would remove the need for such flat damage mods as serration. However, additions that sacrafice dmg for utility may still be implemented and vice versa.

OP's idea is interesting though, keep it up.

  12. Because my classes are about to be over in the next few days. I'm going to be offering new players or any other players in need of help over the Christmas break. From farming mods and materials to clearing bosses, I'll do it all. I'll try to start up my stream and help answer any questions if needed. Neuro also host a TeamSpeak server which you are more than happily invited to join or sit in. If not I also have Skype.

    Take care everyone.

(My last class day is the 22nd of December)

For further information either send me a message or ask me here.

I'll post my schedule after my last day of class.

  13. So, in your opinion, any opinion that doesn't agree with yours/the OPs is non-constructive? Ok...

Nah agreement or disagreement is not the issue. It is the context in which criticism is recieved, and the lack of actual insight into the issue.

There are opnions that are contrary to mine that are valid and helpful. So no, any opinion that does not coincide with mine is not "unconstructive". But I don't want to derail the post.

Personally I think the Soma and prime are fine but I can somewhat see what the OP may be trying to bring up. Not every prime should be compared to the boltor upgrade however.
