  1. Just off the top of my head, maybe a storage bunker for warframes and weapons. Rather than having to sell them entirely, and level them back up if you decide to get them again, you can put them in to storage. You can't access them in any way shape or form until you pull them back out, which could take a few different forms.

    - A special solo-only mission to fight through enemy territory to retrieve your items.

    - A large credit cost, coupled with a timer to wait for them to return from storage (similar to Foundry)

    - Charging a small amount of platinum to retrieve from storage (allows you to keep the experience you earned on them, but maintains the status quo of "if you want more space, you need to pay for it one way or another")

Just a few ideas. Obviously as a F2P game, DE has to have strategies enabled to maintain a steady cash flow and pay for development, but having to throw away the time invested as well as the item itself just seems a bit off.

    I can get behind this.

  2. alternative: buy more warframe slots.

yeah sorry. its how the system works tho. DE gotta eat.

I don't think you read the topic at all. I said I only had two Warframes. I bought a 3rd and enough slots to buy 6 more. I don't have any slot issue. This is about not wanting to see hard work wasted as credits instead of something more useful.  Please read the discussion so we don't create tangent arguments that have no place here. Thank you.

I understand it's a bummer, but did you really just hop head first into building an entire frame without knowing anything about her?

And if you don't want to sell her and waste her: don't sell her. It's always nice having lots of frames at hand, and that way you know you didn't waste too much seeing as you can always go back.

Nah, I knew what she was. Reading and watching her being played is nothing like actually using her myself. I just rarely have reasons to use her abilities outside of boss fights.

Also, like I said, I had nothing else to do since my others were maxed. I have to at least try these other Frames I don't care about or I'll be pretty much done playing until there's like a Rhino Prime. I am going to keep her and I do like alts, but I think there should be something better to exchange unwanted frames for than just some credits.

  3. Hi, I've been playing since closed beta and during that time I only had Loki and Rhino. These two were perfect and I maxed them out and never got tired of them.

Well, since I didn't have much else to do I decided to take any Warframe parts I got from bosses and just go ahead and make other frames just for personal busywork. Turns out that from an alert I got the special helmet for Trinity and a few other Frames. I decide to go ahead and actually make Trinity while also buying slots to make room for her and others.

Well, now I'm playing as Trinity and it's just not my playstyle. She looks cool, and those ability are helpful, I'm sure, but I preferred the other Frames I had so she's just around for mastery now.

So now I feel like deleting Trinity or selling her, but that feels like a waste. I actually invested time in building her up and still want to max her for mastery. So seeing as I have a well built Trinity I kinda can't just do that since it feels dumb. I'm starting to realize that I may go through this again with each new Frame I try. There needs to be a useful way to get rid of Frames you don't want. I have like 6 slots left and if I try 6 new Frames I don't like I can't see just throwing them away after making the investment.

I understand that a market or trading would just lead to bots etc. exploiting this option so maybe we could convert unwanted Frames into something else? Maybe even merge one frame into another to unlock something else. Anything than just getting some credits. Too much work goes into making one and mastering them to just sell them even if they aren't enjoyable.

  4. I recently tried to do Titania, Uranus for the Ash Blueprint and when I entered the boss was already killed and the team was already going for the exit. I thought they stopped people from joining completed missions.

The team told me they had finished the boss long ago and the materials were gone.

  5. Such optimism, I hope you're right and Warframe will be an exception in their selection of games, but it's not quite like amazon or steam really.

As far as I'm aware they pretty much "own" the cash shop in APB:R and Fallen Earth, can't speak for the other titles, their own representatives announce the new items on the forums and they're "blamed" for the high pricing even by the devs themselves when the vocal minority on the forums express their concerns {mildly put}, which leads me to believe that APB devs have near to no say in the cash shops, but that's just an assumption. We can only hope that won't be the case for Warframe.

APB:R and Fallen Earth would be the games G1 owns much like Valve owns TF2 and DOTA2. Super Monday Night Combat, Air Mech, and now Warframe are all games I've played out of closed beta and I can assure you G1 doesn't own or control anything in them.

You could do a search if you have time later and see that those games have no connection to G1 outside of that website. All of them are on Steam and Amazon operating the same exact way. They use the G1 site which specializes in f2p games as just another store front. It won't affect anyone unless they choose to buy currency through G1 and not DE or Steam.

  6. I don't think it's anything more than exposure on an additional distribution service much like Steam. Gamersfirst doesn't control anything. They just distribute much like Valve. Also like Valve they do own a few games on their service. It's a non-issue.

Many f2p games use various outlets to help spread their user base. I remember Super Monday Night Combat being Steam-only, then they ditched them, added their own launcher and partnered with Kongregate, Amazon, and Gamersfirst to reach new users. In fact, just go to the Gamersfirst website and you'll see that it's just a portal to several different f2p games still owned and run by other publishers.

    Relax.

  7. You haven't played in a while I see. Warframes and weapons can now rank up to 30 fully and have limited mod energy without a potato, they aren't locked to level 15 like pre-Update 7.

If the frame you got sucked, what exactly is stopping you from deleting it and trying something else? The slot isn't going anywhere.

I don't even understand your last sentence. You're buying slots to play new content, not knowing what they're for sounds like user issue.

I just don't understand what you're trying to say.

Yeah, I can see that you don't. I've been playing daily since closed beta. I already maxed my Rhino and Loki before update 7, so I wouldn't know what those potato changes would be on a frame. I was mainly using the Lato Vandal which came pre-potato until I hit rank 4 and just got a Hek two days ago which is only level 11 right now.

I already addressed deleting a bad weapon or frame, but why would I want to spend money on taking that gamble each time I wanted to try something new? That's another thing I guess you didn't understand since that's what my last sentence was referring to. That's not a user issue, that's the current structure of the game.

If I want to try Frost Prime, I'll have to spend money on a new slot. If he sucks, then that's my money out the window until I find a Warframe worth filling that slot. When that slot gets a great frame and I want to try another it's the same gamble again. The problem with this structure is that I have a frame I like, the only motive to get a new one is out of curiosity of how the others work. Why spend money on a test drive of a potentially bad frame when I have one I already like? As a consumer I have no idea how they feel I would want to waste money on testing things. I've collect a lot of frames and just left them in the foundry because of this. It's really the only thing left to do after maxing most of everything else I have.

  8. The problem for me isn't even the money. It's the fact that I can't test out new things without paying. It turns this from just f2p and into a demo.

DE just needs to restructure what we pay for. Make inv infinite and make certain items platinum-only. I would be fine if Reactors and Catalyst were plat-only. My reason is that we get 15 levels to decide if that weapon or frame is for us. At that point we can decide we will pay to make the most of it.  In fact we all need weapons and frames, but we don't need inv since some like myself have just decided to delete old stuff or stick with a frame we like for now.

All this inventory thing is making me do is wonder how many weapons and frames will I want to try over the life of the game. How many times will I feel like an idiot for buying a slot only to realize the frame sucked despite what I read and heard about it? I already had a few weapons I disliked even though many praised them. Now we have Prime Warframes which may be the only frames I'll buy a slot for since they are exclusive.

All the inventory thing has done is make me a very cautious customer. I like the game and would spend money faster if I knew what I was actually buying that slot for.

  9. Actually he is perfect already. I have him and see no reason to buy another Warframe.

Rhino Charge - Good for taking out a hallway full of enemies or getting out of being surrounded by them.

Iron Skin - Makes you invincible. I think there's no reason to worry about this ever.

Radial Blast - My go to ability to clear surrounding enemies fast. I just tap and everything is bloody dust.

Rhino Stomp - I use this on bosses or any singular enemy that takes a ton of damage. When doing a boss fight with a team, it helps everyone get free hit for the duration while they regain shields etc. It isn't there to kill. It's there to gain control to set up the kill. You can seriously pull off some easy kills while the enemy just hovers mid-air eating bullets or blades.

All of his skills are amazing and he does have crowd control even if he doesn't have a taunt. It's all about knowing when to use these abilities and how. You will pretty much never die with him giving you plenty of time to just walk away from hard fights to get energy, health, regain shields, or just take that weak weapon and shoot a bunch of times to gain mastery.

    I can't see a thing I would change.

  10. I leave if lag is bad, if I only came to get a certain resource and have enough, if I get a reward I like, if the team is bad ie. Loki waiting for me to run to a certain point than swapping with me just because he's too lazy to just walk, and if I'm trying to add mastery to a weapon and have enough.

Maybe they should make us choose how many waves we want to do going in. That way we either rise to the challenge or fail together.

  11. That's why the forums were down for the past hour? People complaining?

That's pretty dumb. I never planned on making a Frost and I don't have any extra slots for it, but it's a damn great prize to get an exclusive version of a Warframe. A lot of people didn't even do much other than grind as usual, but on one planet. We not only got a Warframe and 200k credits, but we obviously got a lot of mastery and Rubedeo.

This was some great fun imo. No complaints and I hope we can unlock other Warframes this way in the future. Keep it up DE.

  12. I'm part of the non-paying community and I have no problem with the Glaive being alert-only. I don't have the inv space for one anyway. Even if I do win one in an alert I wouldn't be able to use it without deleting stuff.

I like playing the game so I don't mind playing a lot and finding stuff. I still don't care for the inv limitations, but to be honest I can't see anything else in this game that would be worth the investment.

  13. Just keep adding more planets and environments. The basic structure of this game is already loads of fun. To me end game is what MMOs add when they don't really feel like adding substantial content. This game has barely scratched the surface of it's full potential yet.

I love how they added Stalkers. Now imagine if we could hunt some rare enemy for a bounty or rare mod. The possibilities are endless.

  14. If you tell me a bit about what you want from your weapons, maybe I can suggest a few

I'm not sure how to describe what I want, but I can say what I've used and liked. Here's my current inv:

    Warframes:

     Rhino(30) no potato - equipped

    Loki(30) no potato

    Sentinel:

    Wyrm(20) no potato - equipped

Laser Rifle (26) no potato - equipped

    Primary:

    MK-1Braton (30) no potato

Latron (12) no potato - equipped

    Secondary:

    Lato Vandal (30) - equipped

    Melee:

Dark Sword (18) no potato - equipped

Fragor (15) no potato - Brokk Hammer skin

    Cronus (28)  no potato

    Dual Zoren (30)  no potato

    Jaw Sword (10) no potato

    Pangolin Sword (unranked) no potato

    Foundry:

Dagger Axe skin - not forged

    Dark Dagger - forged

    Ceramic Dagger - not forged

I basically like what I have equipped. I'm rank 3 so I can't get a Hek yet. I'm more or less wondering what to do with all of these melee weapons. I like the Dark Sword, so should I just delete the rest and stick with it, or do the other have something worth keeping them for?

Since my secondary weapon is basically a hand cannon I'd like a primary with rapid fire if I use a rifle to take out large mobs as opposed to singular targets. I guess that's the best I can explain myself for now.

  15. I've received a lot of weapons from alerts. The thing is that I now have more weapons that inventory space and I've already deleted two to make space, but just revived like three more weapons after.

I want to buy more inventory space, but I need to know if there is a limit to how much inventory space you can have. Is it infinite or is there an upper limit?

Besides that I'm weary of even buying space for each new weapon I get since I've found out twice that the weapon either doesn't fit my playstyle, or just isn't better than what I have. I bought a Latron to replace my MK-1 Braton only to learn that their definition of semi-automatic isn't the same as mine. I saw a lot of praise for it on these forums and wiki. It feels like a sniper rifle which really doesn't work with my play style on Rhino. I'm only leveling it for mastery, but I'm going to have to get rid of it for a rifle that feels good to me.

Even after reading up on wiki I could only decide if I liked the weapons after using them myself. Lack of inv space prevents me from trying them all out. Having been disappointed a few times I'm not looking to buy more space with platinum. So has anyone else been in this position?

  16. I think the problem you're having is that the blueprint you got was never supposed to be for a Paris to begin with; it was supposed to be for the Dagger Axe skin, but they made a mistake and linked the Blueprint with the wrong item. They've now fixed that bug, though, so that it gives the correct item.

If you don't have a Scindo, then consider buying one; they're a pretty awesome weapon, especially once you mod them for Charge speed.

Yeah, that seems to be the case. That's why I would be fine with just them refunding the materials instead of just giving away a Paris.

I'm not sure how I feel about getting a Scindo though. I already have Dual Zorens, a Fragor with the alt skin, and recently a Dark Sword. I'm still stuck with a Mk-1 Braton as a main weapon which is why I was so elated to get a Paris as a drop. I want a Hek, but I'm only Rank 3.
  17. How long does it usually take for them to respond to a ticket. I assume they don't work on weekends, but during the work week does it take long?

I just did another alert and received the blueprint for the daggers. I want to sell it, but I'm weary to touch anything until they sort out this issue. Even if they don't give us the Paris back, they could at least refund us for the materials and credits we wasted.

  18. update 7.8.0

Fixed Dagger Axe blueprint being incorrectly linked to Paris

It may just turn into Dagger Axe skin.

    I know that feel bro.

Ok, I checked my inv and now I see that's what they did to me.

I made a Paris a couple days ago, and this did not happen...

Maybe it was dependent on the blueprint you used? Did you use the one from the alert?

Yeah, I got one from an alert. Seems I got excited about nothing.

I just logged in to find similar.

I spent quite a bit of time and effort farming the requisite stuff to make a Paris, I log in. . . and find that I have a Dagger Axe skin. For a weapon I don't even have/use/want.

    Sigh.

That's what bugs me the most. I had to grind up all this Rubedo, but I thought it would be worth it. I also still had no other primary besides the MK-1 Braton we all start with. Now I have a useless skin I can't use or even seem to sell.

I'm twice as glad that I didn't buy a new slot for that Paris though. I would have really been pissed then.
