  1. Why would anyone want prime except for the potential mastery? Same stats but with an extra V polarity.

    Unless you use rage, your only other option is continuity which is fairly useless for excalibur. So prime is a forma worse than standard.

    Im mainly reacting to the first sentence. You sound a bit rude to people who are just sharing things that made them happy.

    With randomness, everyone has their sprees of luck. A portion of the players use the forums. A portion of these will find it necessary to make a thread every time they get something they perceive to require a lot of luck.

    The end result is a crapload of threads that don't need to be here. Think that's what he's going for.

  3. What grind? Some of the resource requirements outside clan research are pretty ridiculous, but only some.

    Hell, by the time I was mastery rank 5 I had enough plastids to make ogris/acrid/supra anyway.

    Now getting high level serration/hornet strike/redirection/vitality, that's a grind.

    Rare resources could count since everything uses them and they're usually the limiting factor, but if you're capable of speedrunning they're also not a big deal (4 control modules every half hour, ish), but they're also not bad outside clan nonsense.

  4. Just let melee channel work for thrown weapons and it'll be fine. It can already 1-shot most sub-70 commons with one charge.

    Even 100ish ones if you nail them in the head.

  5. First kill, Dread. This was particularly early and I was able to build it pretty much immediately. Not bad for newbs, even without Thunderbolt.
    Third kill, Hate. Built that too, but eh.
    Somewhere around 8-10 kills, Despair. I want to say it was about 75ish of my 153 hours played when I got Despair.

    No duplicates until having acquired Despair. RNG may be nice to me a lot, but I hate it when it's not, because it's vicious when it's not.

  6. Let me sum up the game for everyone: morphics, cmodule, ferrite.

    Plastids, Rubedo (after making your first new frame or gorgon), and Neurodes say hi.

     

    On a sidenote, while control modules shouldn't be required by all three of the faction resources, neither should plastids.

    We have three uncommons, why not use the damn things. Especially Rubedo, christ.

    Mutagen Mass: 250 Plastids

    Detonite Injector: 750 Alloy Plate (drops like 3-4x what plastids/rubedo do on average)

    Fieldron: 250 Rubedo (drops about the same rate as plastids, needs way more uses after making gorgon)

    Could even switch around the Salvage requirements to Nano Spores for Mutagen and Ferrite or Polymer or Circuits for Detonite.

  7. Is camping the spawns really worse than everyone insisting on doing another 5 waves because there's a 'bad' reward? It takes longer and is less conductive to getting the right reward, and a huge waste of fusion power in the event they fix the unranked mods/elemental mods in general.

  8. All I know is the few times I've seen it used I keep winding up suddenly in groups of grineer (players, not commander switch). I know I was playing volt and that sparkly ultimate is crazy in the right areas of grineer ships but I don't always have 100 energy.

    And christ almighty to all Loki players nobody wants to either warp next to a heavy gunner or have one teleported next to them! Highly unpleasant.

    I also got my first pistol/shotgun damage mods in the same mission, not that I have a shotgun, as well as the fire damage mod for shotgun. I already was going to get a hek when I hit 4, so this works.

    Edit: Apparently I also got the armor piercing shotgun mod. Now the game is just taunting me with three new shotgun mods in one mission.

  10. I wonder if the first caveman to create fire thought he was immune to it as well.

    Really though, need them to have affinities for the elements. Else they're just 'slightly different elemental damage dealers'.
