i dont consider an at random 1 hit kill on your self to be "balancing"

 

the simple fact that any enemy that gets close range forcing you to switch your weapon to deal with them is balance enough and that becomes even more true as you add damage mods onto the thing

Thing has 500 some rounds default, deals out huge damage in a wide area. Of course you have to switch, or you can just fall back a bit and shoot it. if you don't like that, switch to the penta and stop complaining.

Why not? Thing is extremely OP, that's a good way to balance it out. Risk versus reward.

They all do that. Not just mag prime. Equip a skin and an alternate helmet, and it's like your playing as the non-prime version.

This happened when the game was bugging out and really laggy. Enemies would stop moving and become unaware, to the point where I could stealth kill them all.
