  1. I really like the unique helmet and intricate gold trims. Cloth parts will probably look good in motion with physics. Just the chest seems a little plain and could use some embossed pattern or somthing like that. All in all great work for a first version. Already looks nicely designed and stunning.

  2. One might not see my list as "best in mission type" frames, but more as a list of my personal preferences:

    • Rathuum Arena: Inaros for survivability or Ash with fatal teleport augment and covert lethality dagger mod for quick and easy kills
    • Index Arena: I prefer Hildryn or Inaros for stacking points, because Rhino is energy dependent, just my laziness. 😉
    • Assassination: Really depends on the target imho, do they have invulnerabilty phases, high movement, weakpoints, etc.
    • Defection: Healing warframes like Trinity are quite handy to keep the defectors alive.
    • Defense: I prefer Frost for stationary defense and Limbo for mobile defense targets like syndicate agents. Mesa can be a good alternative for quickly dispatching of enemies.
    • Disruption: Any frame that can do high damage quickly is useful, I personally prefer Mesa so I do not have to find the demolyst in a crowd or aim properly. 😉
    • Excavation: Frost or Slow Nova do fine imho. Khora, Vauban or Gara might be nice alternatives.
    • Exterminate: Any mobile aoe nuker frame like Ember, Saryn, Eqinox or Excalibur does quick work of enemies on most levels.
    • Bounties: Because of the large areas you are fighting in, making most direct damage abilities useless, tough weapon-dependent frames like Hildryn, Chroma or Inaros are my favorites here. For eidolons i prefer tough buff frames like Chroma or Rhino.
    • Hijack: Abilities are disabled on the rover, thus tough non-ability-dependent frames like Inaros are the way to go imho.
    • Infested Salvage: Desecrate Nekros, Trinity or Nova can be useful here, but also strong CC or nuker frames like Volt or Saryn.
    • Interception: In small groups CC is king, I personally go for Slow Nova or max range & duration Volt.
    • Junction: Bring survivability (non-energy-dependent) and a strong weapon.
    • Mobile Defense: See defection or excavation.
    • Rescue: I prefer Loki for quick and silent solo extraction, in party any mobile and/or nuker frame does fine.
    • Sanctuary Onslaught: Might be zone level dependent but mostly the same as in exterminates. If in a group with nukers, support is nice to have, like Trinity or Nova.
    • Spy: I prefer Ivara with infiltrate augment or Loki.
    • Survival: See sanctuary onslaught + might be nice to bring a Nekros for more life support.
    • Assault / Capture / Sabotage: Any frame can make quick work of those imho, not much you need to go for.

My prefered frames in no certain order, based on ability setups, not mission types:

    • nukers: Ember, Equinox, Excalibur, Mag (polarize), Mesa, Nidus, Saryn, Wukong
    • support: Banshee, Chroma, Harrow, Nova, Oberon, Octavia, Trinity, Wisp
    • stealth: Ash, Ivara, Loki
    • defense: Frost, Gara, Khora, Limbo, Vauban
    • CC: Loki (disarm), Nova, Nyx, Volt
    • tanks: Chroma (abilities+armor), Gara (ability), Hildryn (shield), Inaros (ability+health), Limbo (avoidance), Mesa (abilities), Nova (ability+augment), Rhino (ability), Trinity (abilities), Valkyr (abilities+armor), Zephyr (ability+augment)
    • bonus drops: Atlas, Hydroid, Khora, Nekros (best for loot only)
  3. I have to agree with most of the others.

If you want to change your weapon, my favorites among those available would be Hek for shotguns and Rubico for snipers.

But modding might really be the key of the issue. Basic formula should be at least one base damage mod, one multishot mod, one crit chance and crit damage mod (for crit based weapons only, at least 10-15% base value), two to four elemental damage mods to form two combo elements you'd like to have. I myself prefer radiation (electricity+heat) and viral (toxin+cold) damage on a low status weapon and corrosive (toxin+electricity) and blast (cold+heat) on most high status weapons. The mods that should combine have to be after one another in the order from top left to bottom right. If you happen to have any rare dual mods with elemental damage and status chance you could use those on a high status weapon instead of the base elemental modswith single stats.

For the Hek it is highly advisible to have the augment mod mentioned above (Scattered Justice, from Steel Meridian syndicate) since it has 200% multishot compared to the 120% the "normal" one (Hell's Chanber) has and got a proc that heals you, gives a 15% armor buff for 30 secs and does 1000 aoe damage (Blast) in a 25m radius, staggering enemies.

Some nightmare mods might be interesting, too. Like Chilling Reload (cheap mod, cold damage + reload speed) and Blaze (base damage + heat damage), both of those would be for a shotgun.

  4. 20 captures, like 40 minutes of effort and you expect him to spawn, while others haven't seen him for whole weeks? Cute! 😉 Not mentioning the fact, that he could spawn within the first 5 minutes of a mission, like any other assassin and you could already be at the extraction BEFORE he even spawned.

  5. Shotguns in general tend to be a good option for new and mid mastery players, since they need less expensive (or rare) mods to maximize their potential, imho. Apart from that I personally really enjoy most shotguns and like the corresponding playstyle. Hildryn might not be accessible to you for some time, but Inaros could be another choice for a tanky frame. He's accessible through a quest bought at the void trader. A couple of non-tanky frames could also be viable options through damage avoidance or reduction skills, like Nova with her first ability.

idk about that, draw a line from the bottom of the casing around the "barrel" and theres no room at the end of the gun for a barrel to actually be there unless its shooting some kinda super small sub-munition type round or something. I'm not trying to apply stringent gun design laws to this thing but it breaks the basics and it just doesnt work.

    ec49a00ccb.png

The magazine looks a bit cone/funnel like, so munition could curl its way from top edge of the magazine to the bottom where it is touching the gun and be inserted into the receiver there. Thus the firing mechanism could be a little lower and the barrel could be tipped slightly up at the muzzle on this picture, like 5 degrees or something like that. That way it could work. Just use your imagination. ;D

The barrel isn't curved. Why would anyone build a curved barrel? It's just the casing that's curved. That's all.

I'm with you on this. There is ample room in the body of the gun there for a perfectly straight barrel, especially one firing medium caliber bullets you'd expect from a rifle, though I'm sure you could fit a larger caliber barrel in there with room to spare as well.

I'm totally with those two. Apart from that there may be only one skin for the Stradavar, but there is one. You could use the Day of the Dead skin (as soon as you can get your hands on it) to switch the new model for the old one. The textures may not be to your liking but at least the silhouette will be.

Can you explain? You want people to be able to trade wolf credits? Or do you want players to spend their standing on wolf credits?

Making wolf credits tradeable makes the entire nightwave system redundant. Spending your own standing on the credits has a negative feedback loop, if you didnt get wolf creds you didn't have high standing, causing you to not be able to buy many wolf credits. Plus the rewards in the standing table are way better than any credit rewards.

Buying standing with wolf credits doesnt make sense either, you get standing for doing acts, you'd get a feed back loop where nobody would play after getting enough credits to max out when the event is over

Imagine you were in week 10 of the event and no way for you to get to another rank or the rewards on the next rank doesn't interest you. Wouldn't it be nice if you could spend (not trade with other players) some of your remaining standing on Wolf creds that could enable you to buy another reward with those at least? An alternative could be for your remaining standing to be converted to Wolf creds at a certain rate and being able to spend those for a couple of days or a week after the event ended.

3000 nano spores they so desperately need

You must be joking right? Next you might say they really need those 1 control module alerts. 😉

But apart from that this might be the most constructive, non-butthurt and reasonable critic comment and suggestions on this topic I have seen so far. New players reaching all 30 reputation ranks might not have been the goal in the first place and I don't totally agree on that one. Ambitious casual players and newbies with a lot of time could still reach the higher ranks, especially since DE stated that one only needs about 60% of all the challenges to get to 30. Apart from that I'm okay with not everybody reaching the highest ranks, thus it still feels rewarding if one does.

In every other aspect I totally agree with you and really like the suggestions. Making the Nightwave episodes longer or infinite might be a solution to most of these problems while still keeping high rank rewards timed exclusive for those investing more time and effort. Another approach might be to keep reputation and creds until the event cycles back in and finish it the next time it appears. At least I hope events will eventually return another time, since that way new players would have a chance to complete them later, when they're more experienced and geared for it.

  10. Even new or casual players can reach a lot of those rewards and they will make a real difference for them, like forma, catalysts and reactors or simply slots (for those free2play guys).

Are new and casual players supposed to reach all the highest stages and reward tables of any activity? Hell no! Why should they be treated and carried through all the content like a newborn babe?

DE just stated in their devstream that rank 30 can be reached by clearing about 60% of the challenges popping up through the ten weeks of event. Seems fair to me. A hard working newb with some time to spare can still make it probably and a casual with some ambition who brings good equipment (like myself 😉) can easily do so, too. Just play the game and most of the challenges will complete while you don't even focus on them, then do the others if you got nothing else important to do in the game at that moment.

Warframe is a game of looting, shooting and grinding and that appeases most people playing it, so a little effort or grind is okay I think. Events will eventually come around another time and next time you might be able to get to rank 30 and grab all the goodies, since you (probably) won't stay a newb forever.

Relax, play and enjoy the game and grab whatever rewards you can, they won't be around for the last time. 🙂

  11. Guys, simply let people play whatever frame they want and have fun with. If so many people enjoy Inaros for what he brings to a mission, just let them do so.

I can understand and confirm most of OP's claims, but it doesn't matter. Warframe is essentially quite an easy game, apart from levels way beyond 100 and that's okay with me. I like the fact of having a real challenge if I like to and still most of the time just crushing armies of enemies like a damn god. 😉

Apart from that I personally like Inaros, too. Not for his tankiness in itself, but for the simple and non energy dependent play style while being quite tough. I can brain-afk and never die in a common mission without much effort and I like those qualities when I just came home from a day of hard work.

He also simply has lots of effective HP through armor and adaptation since he has loads of HP to start with. Mine has around 6k HP with 900 armor and is sufficient for most missions, not mentioning my 10k HP kavat. 😄 I do not even use or need his CC very often and mostly use it for opening up an enemy for a finisher so I can get my HP back I spent on Scarab Shield. Having an augment making him immune to status effects is also a major part of his survivability. Rage or Hunter Adrenalin works wonders on him and you won't ever need another source of energy, making him ideal when dealing with huge groups of high level energy leech / parasitic eximus enemies.

I really like him for what he is, a frame not too dependent on his abilities, that I can enjoy gunplay and testing different weapons with.

Enjoy the game instead of criticizing others' gameplay or favorites and don't be a min-maxing jerk. Peace and have fun, just my 2 cents. 🙂

My first question back to you is how well do you like bows in warframe?  The one shot clip makes it play A LOT like a bow, ie it really punishes you for missed shots, etc.

Because of the shotgun typical spread of pellets or shrapnel I can not say the same, especially the part about missed shots. Players used to shotguns will hardly ever miss a shot. In addition you might kill several enemies standing next to each other with the impact of the shot and then create several parallel lanes of death with their flung bodies behind them.

  13. If you like hard hitting shotguns and bolt weapon mechanics it might be worth a try. The single shot magazine might sound like a total deal breaker, but imho the bolt / line damage mechanic and easy to reach 100% status chance make up for it. Unfortunately it was very low crit stats but can still be quite good because of its high base damage and status chance. I do not find reload speed much of an issue as far as if been using it, especially if you use chilling reload or a riven with reload speed. Riven disposition is quite good, 3 or 4 I think. Apart from that visuals and concept are nice, shattering that crystal and shredding your enemies with its shards is a blast, imho.

A little reminder, this is Warframe and no souls-like game, you can do 90% of its content with most weapons, modded right. I can only talk for myself, but honestly I don't care if a weapon is considered good, as long as I enjoy using it. Concerning the Exergis, I do enjoy it quite a lot. Can it compete with other shotguns, like a rivened Strun Wraith or Boar Prime? I think not, but it's good nonetheless and I like it better that Tigris series, too.

    31 minutes ago, 541K4T said:

Exergis is good, and most naysayers dislike it because they are modding it like Tigris Prime and then comparing. Most people ignore the humongous base damage and the fact that it can reach 100% SC with just 3x60/60 mods. Slot in Ammo Stock and Chilling Reload and it handles better than Tigris Prime IMO.

Tbh id like to see some old mods beeing buffed like sure shot for pistol (+15% sc) to at least 60% or even more. That would give more versatility to our builds, wo actually making them more powerful

Yeah, me too and across all weapon categories. This is not only the case with secondary weapons. A couple of basic single stat mods really need some love, especially status chance and physical damage ones. With the introduction of new nightmare mods and similar dual stat mods some are becoming obsolete, e.g. shotguns' Chilling Reload vs Tactical Pump.

  15. People here are absolutely right, Fortuna, though unfortunately located on a low level beginners' planet is no such area at all.

To make a little progress it can be helpful to finish additional planets and do their junctions. Those can help you develop certain skills you'll need later on in the game and give some rewards like mandatory mods, weapon blueprints and access to new quests.

Apart from that try as many new weapons and warframes as possible to find some suitable ones for you, get their mastery by leveling them to 30, collect mods and improve the nice ones with endo you get along the way. Then come back when you at least hit mastery level 5 to 10.

If you still got problems just contact me for some help / advice or try to find someone in recruiting channel or relays.

Enjoy the game and don't try to push yourself to finish any level you get access to any time, especially solo. Make friends or a team if you're not focussed on solo play, warframes and certain setups can synergize very well.

Mag and Frost P never had a prime access. Ember P was the first. There is the prime vault, but who buys that if one has gotten the 2 of them via normal gameplay and all the accessories from buying all the prime accesses?

OP wants an option to get the 2 noggles without burning on the vault as currently the only way to get the noggles is to spend on the prime vault, which nets you just the 2 noggles and duplicates of everything else.

Exactly this, finally someone understands my meaning... 😄

I would gladly buy another Prime Access for Frost and Mag if there would be a new and original one.

  17. I got every single Prime Access there was, but was also around before Prime Vaults were even a thing. Thus I got Frost Prime and Mag Prime through Tower Keys even before they were unvaulted for newer players way later. Why can't veterans (measuring time since creating an account) like me not get those two noggles anyway else, without having to buy another Prime Vault package we don't need any items or cosmetics from?

Having to buy another two Prime Vault packages which get me nothing new, no equipment or cosmetics, just to get the two noggles I lack doesn't seem really fair to me. I didn't buy any parts of those two warframes but got them through running those Orokin Tower Key missions since there was no way else to get them at that time.

Please give us a way to unlock those two noggles in some other way or buy them seperately with a discount. Alternatively give us anything new in those packs to make buying them worthwhile. Frost and Mag Prime didn't come with any matching and original Prime cosmetics first hand anyways, since there was no Prime Access yet.

I'm still missing my Frost and Mag Prime noggles myself.

Probably the same problem I got. Being around, playing the game before Prime Access or Prime Vaults were even a thing. Seems one can only get those two through Prime Vault packages because there was no Prime Access for those when they were released and originally available in the Void (Orokin Tower).
