Hi guys!
I think DE forgot to tweak this gun.
Very very low stats...
And we know, Twin Gremlins is very good.
10.0 impact
10.0 puncture
10.0 slash
status 10%
Totals into 30 damage per hit, which varies depending on the faction, has a larger proc chance than most of the pistols (which range from 1%-5%), AND is fully automatic.
What's wrong with it? ._.

....I think bows can still ragdoll mobs on death. At least my Dread it after chopping one dude in half.

I've just got off a run from E Prime, Earth (Capture, iirc), and found it a rather decent spawn area for Seekers, Flameblades and Napalms. Naturally, I scanned them multiples times.
Now, after running for close to 30 minutes - taking down the Capture targets to simplify things - I find that the 15+ Seekers, 10+ Flameblades (locked entry), and 5 Napalms (also locked) that I've scanned didn't show up in the Codex.
Not sure if others have experienced this, but it's really pretty annoying, since I expected finally unlocking/completing those entries after wasting the whole day finding a non-Defense/Survival-type map that spawns them.

They seem to drop ammo more often, too.

Just a compendium of screenshots taken of Lanka and Dread doing damage some Grineer (specifically, Lancers, Troopers, Shield Lancers, Heavy Gunners and Kela de Thaym), it might help, it might not.
Album Links:

Dread: http://imgur.com/a/Ea7ch#0
Builds used:
Lanka:
Damage without Split Chamber = 1,555.55
Dread
Damage without Split Chamber:
Impact: 14.1; Puncture: 14.1; Slash: 112.8; Corrosive: 232.65; Total: 373.65
==
Some rough calculations on damage:
Lanka
Unmodified Damage: 1,555.55
Corrosive Damage Bonus (+75%): 2,722.2125
Headshot Bonus (+100%): 5,444.425
Crit Damage (+420%): 22,866.585
Something to ponder on:
This is a wild guess, but I assume that there's still some armor on the heads, because if those parts are purely flesh (if they don't have face plates) I have no idea how the Corrosive damage bonus gets applied.
Dread
Unmodified Damage: Impact: 14.1; Puncture: 14.1; Slash: 112.8; Corrosive: 232.65; Total: 373.65Damage Bonuses: Impact: 14.1; Puncture (+50%): 21.15; Slash (+50%): 169.2; Corrosive (+75%): 407.1375; Total: 611.5875Headshot Bonus (+100%): 1,223.175Crit Damage (+420%): 5,137.335Ignore this. If anyone knows how the hell I managed to do 18k-24k damage on this, I'd be happy to hear. IGNORE THIS, TOO.

More runs to confirm theories? Definitely, though I'm not really patient enough to do more (I have Magnetic Lanka vs Grineer though, it's pretty much -75% of what Corrosive does).
All I know is, Grineer seem to be a medley of Armor and Flesh, so Puncture/Slash weapons would be nice for them...
There's also the fact that their heads may also have some amount of armor in them, and that the Corrosive proc effect actually doesn't seem to ignore armor; I guess "armor damage" actually means reduce armor values?
There's also Dread's near-equal damage to Lanka on headshots, even though it has a clearly lower base damage than Lanka's..
I've just realized that the listed damage on Dread does not show it's charge damage. This may be why it does almost equal damage to Lanka.
Welp, hopefully I'm putting this in the right section.

While this is actually highly useful (I've had this open the whole day yesterday as a guide on what to use on which weapons), the "% Damage Bonuses TBD (to be discussed)" listed at the top-left makes me doubt the overall accuracy of the chart. Not that the strengths/weaknesses listed is incorrect, but the exact percentage of them might not reflect what we have right now.
-
Well that's good to know I suppose, I still thought it was the other way around, thanks for the info.
From what I heard from my clanmates, though, they swapped out their absurd armor for absurd health. It got to the point that even 100k damage won't drop them.
-
I felt like my dread was several times stronger versus infested after the update. (slashing damage, duh)
Ancients got something changed because they're way easier to kill and with dread I've been killing them with single arrows on the event mission with rank 20 unpotatoed dread.
Ancients now have no armor, as do Chargers. Strangely, Leapers now have it.

I just put two forma into lanka.. :( I did notice it is the only weapon with 25% status which might be an x-factor. ^qqchurch's^ post says 35% status yet he doesn't have Rifle Aptitude equipped.. what manner of sorcery is this?
Hammer Shot's 40% stun is converted to 40% status proc chance.
-
There's also a bug where shooting at their feet gives you a monstrous critical hit, sometimes, at least.
-
Just deviated a bit from my old Lanka build:
Haven't tested yet, but I think it'd work fine. The 4 forma'd slots are two V's on the left, one ~ to the right of the V on the lower left corner, and then that other V on the lower right corner. Planned on adding another V on the top-right corner, but never got to doing it.

Tested Radiation and Magnetic - damage reduction to armored targets changed from -75% to -50%. Piercing Hit mod doesn't provide any effect at all.
This just makes Lanka useless in serious games because it's role was always to take out "big guys" in 1-2 shots, not kill off small fries. And now Lanka deals OVERTONS of damage to small fries (50k+ dmg crits on some MOAs and unarmored targets) and nearly nodamage to big guys.
If DE will add TOXIC damage mod, it will instantly buff Lanka like skyrocket into the skies. It will make it super awesome with base damage electric type. But not +toxic dmg mod for rifles so far.
This mod would also buff some underpowered weapons from Corpus Clan Tech.
Um...

I noticed this a lot. I don't have any puncture mods equipped and the rockets just randomly clips through the floor (even if it's solid ground).

*plugs in Sound Quake, Avalanche, Chaos, random rare mod*
*transmutes: Chaos*
*plugs in Sound Quake, Contagion, Snow Globe, another rare skill mod*
*transmute: Firestorm*
Me: .... what.

May their ledgers become ocean, their... something. I didn't really catch that bit :S
I reckon it was something like... "Our margins, C-Centauri.", though the only thing I could find of it now was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C_Centauri'>this.
Maybe it's a symbolic thing? Ledgers is to Ocean as Margins is to C-Centauri (or Centaurus, from what the wiki page says).
*shrugs noncommittally*

Oh that looks pretty nic-

I'm guessing it's because pistols, in general, don't have damage falloff?
I mean, Shotguns as a weapon group have falloff, while the rest does not. Though I have no idea if it's actually easy to single out a few weapons in an entire class and add additional effects like damage falloff/ricochet/puncture....

pffffffffffffffffffffffft
never expect of this!
This is perfect if Rhiko could be more red. lol
Couldn't find that right shade of red like her dress, so I just went with that~
It was kinda fun doing it, lol; actually made me craft an Orthos just for this since I've been avoiding it since forever. :D
well, you ask for it...

For you, Beriuos:

Fascinating discussion.

I want to transmute for these.... but I'll be broke and I won't have $$$ for other goodies. ;A;

Also, by putting on these badges, you're affiliating yourselves with the hacker. Just saying.

However, as I pointed out, "can" is defined as "able to" which is a much less ambigious term.
I have to agree with that, I guess *shrug*

Obviously, the best way to end this argument is to take a video of both weapons murderizing a high-HP boss.
Tally ho!
