  1. Just like ammo packs, health, energy, etc, it's consumable.

I just found out that you could use them outside of DS, was just doing Xini and saw someone with ther Vapor Rhino, thought it looked so cool. Was ready to equip and use my spectre(s) till my current public wifi went out, keeps asking to resign in, so cant keep the game steady/on  :\

  2. Lol, same here. I built some helms that I had sitting around since I don't play many of the others. Doesn't matter though, doesn't change the fact for those people who only bought those helms with plat for the purpose of their stats. Same for people who planned and waited for alerts to collect them.

  3. I have a massive post in the works, and I need to know how many posts i should reserve as I'll be keeping it update. Any help would be appreciated!

Try Lulu.com, a online self publisher then post the link to your novel  =D

I dont think there is a character limit. Ive seen some pretty damn long posts.

Everyone has a character limit, no matter how massive but there is always a limit.

Some sites will even tell you the limit if you go over it and tell you to reduce your characters.

  4. I don't know about anyone else, but I found Rescue 2.0 to be the most enjoyable mission DE have created so far - on par with Survival and maybe Interception. When I calculated that I'd need approximately 16 - 20 runs to get the Rakta Syandana, not once was I unhappy to do this. I was enjoying it, choosing different routes and looking at alternate options - the choice of full-on stealth or running and gunning. With the constant threat hanging of the hostage's death or execution, it gave everything the tension the mission so dearly needed before.

And yes, I was able to do a full stealth run without being spotted or the execution switch activating.

Therefore, this was without a doubt the most fun I've had when faced with something that, at first, felt like it was going to be pure hell.

Same here, though I think I still favor Interception more. Just wish that it was on more than one planet, especially on Ceres  :\

But yea Rescue 2.0 is highly enjoyable, especially with the hostage actually not being a burden but still needing to be watched over. Love his speed. Love the wardens and breaking and the kill count down, etc.

  5. Seriously, the hostage is dumb

Hes got balls of steel but brains of a Rambo tard.

I'm sitting in cover trying to clear a room, and the hostage runs into the enemy facefirst and gets set on fire and gunned at by a heavy gunner.

I move around an area with 3 arc traps and the hostage instead runs into all 3 of them and stands there taking fire and getting his balls electrified.

I'm standing on a balcony clearing a room below me to try before entering, the hostage runs aaaaalll the way around, down the stairs and gets shot down.

"Oh no tenno they got me help!"

WELL MAYBE IF YOU DIDN'T RUN FACEFIRST INTO 3 ARC TRAPS AND 2 HEAVY GUNNERS, MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T NEED HELP!"

For anyone saying that "nothing pleases me"

I'm not that kind of person.

I'm kinda used to babysitting Ai, but most of the Ai that I've protected before have stayed relatively close to me

But this one just runs away from you and facefirst into the enemy :/

+1 for comedy, I enjoyed the laugh, especially the title.

Seems like you got a bad hostage. So far mines are always playing hide and seek with the enemy.

A few times with Napalmers they get down, I love their cry for help, makes me wanna leave them, Lmfao

  6. But that doesn't cater to the "but he has it and I should too" mentality that seems to be how this game is. Prime trading and update bundles took care of that. Don't even get me started on "taxi's", with the rails coming the fact that someone that doesn't have a planet can come along and speed-run through what probably took somebody some effort to be able to do....must stop before I hurt feelings. But yes I agree that there needs to be a level of reward but that won't happen, Boltor Prime at Mastery 2 kind of sealed the deal.

Yea,coming from the MMORPG genre I was shock when I joined this game and found out that I could go ANYWHERE in the game as long as I had a 'taxi'.

I just shrugged and took it as it being something diff in the genre. Pure PVP,maps changes are expected, but PVE, that seems weird. Even MOBA have it where you have to level some before moving up/on to other modes/maps.

Boltor Prime is MR2? Lmao that's pathetic. Who's in charge of setting these MR requirements?! It's like he/she is just rolling dices for the decision making  [JK DE  =D]

But yea, the only way they seem to know to make maps exclusive is to set a 'grindwall' like the new Vay Hek, because they don't have MR restrictions on planets/voids.

A MR 0 player can go anywhere in this game that a MR 16 player can go. MR 2 player can wield one of the top rifles (Boltor prime) in this game... How is that logical from a DEVs pov? Not a flame/rant but a serious question.

  7. More feather ruffling here?

So I have been playing warfame for a bit now.

and I admit I get just a lil passionate about Buffs and nerfs.

and this lil quote in another Gen thread got me thinking a bit while on my second cup of coffee~

" Most people will likely dislike it but I wish there was a MR requirement for some frames like there are for weapons. MR6 for Soma and MR 8 for Embolist, etc ".

    And I agree with quote.

Like weapons, certain warframes should have a level of MR to complete in order to facilitate using certain warframes.

Along with other parameters also implemented with MR development per tenno / player.

The facilitation of could negate a lot of butthurt down the road in game play.

The more skilled you become, the more you will be able to use.

    To quote a line from a movie~

    "with power, comes great responsibility".

    Coffee anyone?

That's my quote and I get no credit :\

Also that 'movie' quote originates from a comic book. It's Spiderman. His Uncle Ben said that to him ;)

    .

There is a issue with giving frames mastery ranks. That is that you need those frames to level up efficiently and not take absolutely forever.

Yea, that's a hurdle that can be overcame by simply limiting 2-3 frames to higher MR. Like how many MR weapons we have? I can only recall Embolist out of the loooong list of weapons ingame.

Even if it's just Nova at MR 6 or 8 and/or Rhino and Trinity at MR 6-9 etc.

Also, game(s) like Hawkens gives you access to a 'Universal Exp Pool'. Meaning once you max out your mech, any extra exp/aff is stored so you can use it to level up other stuff.

Here on Warframe, once we max something, that's that. That extra exp goes to waste.Their only fix was enabling us to unequip weapons, but our max frames still receive exp that goes to waste (esp for ppl with all frames :\)

If DE can implement a Universal Exp Pool [or some other fix/solution] then MR for Frames would be more than easy to easy to make a requirement. And again, just 2 or 3 frames. The main 'brain dead smash #4 moar plos' frames.

  8. Skill has little place in this game. Who wants to aim up headshot after headshot when you can fire a Rocket and kill everything in the area. Who wants to rely on mobility and cover when you can be invulnerable for the entire mission.Who wants to play a frame that takes practice when you can run something that presses 4 every time it enters a room before moving on to the next one.

Ultimately, it comes down to players taking the easy path too often and not picking up the skills they need to play well.

It's their own damn fault they are terrible.

Not even Sunday yet and you're preaching  =D

I stick to my Vauban and Birdie and now Hydroid. But I often play Birdie more though. Vauban for safety since I can't rely on PUBs so I know I can have CC to support me.

Despite them 'saying' that some of them play the game, I don't believe the 'right' DE/DEVs actually casually play the game. As in the ones who make the big decisions.

They take months and rely on the forums feedback 'too' much to make obvious, way over due changes to the game.  That's just my take.

  9. Typically my team kills the first warden, I switch teleport the second warden, and the third warden sounds the alarm. The third one is just too far away.

I wanted to keep my strategy to myself so that I could limit others getting Cosmic spectres to possibly be used against me down the road, Lmao But I'll share.

I have 30 sec invisibility Loki. When we get the Hostage rm I tell every to stay back so I solo.

    - I go straight to the hack console

    - Don't bother with the Wardens! Even if one is right in front of you for an easy kill, just ignore him!

    - Once inside, the guard inside, I may or may not kill him, most time I ignore him too. Just go straight to freeing the hostage

    - BOOM, easy points. Now you can go for the Wardens. I signal rest of team to come and kill all wardens.

Head to extract = perfect run.

People want to bother with the wardens, just ignore them and head for the hostage, once the hostage is free doesn't matter if alarms go off, you already got the bonus pts for getting the hostage without setting off alarms. Because one the kill count down starts you missed out on those pts, therefore missing out on a perfect run.

^That's my PUG tactic. Ofc you can talk on ts/vent/etc with fnds/clannies?

Just have a Loki (hopefully good duration on invis) let him go straight to hostage THEN deal with Wardens. It's utterly an easy mission to get max points.

^ This worked for me 7-9 straight times till next run someone didn't listen when i said to stay back and decided to be a hero and ruin things.

edit: Oh yea, Corpus tilesets are better too. Grineer tiles have those elect traps. That just kills Loki while hacking, even with a decipher to speed things up  >_>

  10. your trying to pin this on rushers, but in reality the players you're encountering are just bad players.

besides, you shouldn't even try this with a pug, thats just bad judgement.

this event kind of miffs me in a way.

i breezed through it with my 30 second invisibility loki, but what are people that dont own a stealth frame going to do?

No, I wasn't singling out rushers.

Also, this event is [almost] like the Cicero Event, whereas if want a better shot at soloing, for a perfect score, you need a specific frame. I had strict Nat back then so could only solo. No frame worked/helped til I went with Frost and and even then I had to mod him a certain way.

This event isn't that bad, even going for perfect score solo. You just need to take your time, etc. But loki/Ash do help.

You should go play WoT than come back and let us know how bad the players are here.

Tried it late last year for about 2hours and gladly uninstalled it.

Play with your clanmates and avoid the pubbie scourge.

Read the thread, I mention I left them due to most of them being the people I'm speaking of in this thread.

And this is exactly what we need in Warframe, imo. A reason to co-operate in this co-operative game.

There may be consensus in most mission types (kill every thing), but there's no co-operation needed to accomplish it, just powerful enough weaponary.

This has to change to make the game more challenging and interesting.

^ Otherwise these 'kids' will gladly jump ship when the next flavor of the month game comes out. Lack of lore (for immersion) helps hurt the game as well.

  11. Changed planets, was actually [surprisingly] able to get 7-9 straight perfect runs in. My first Cosmic Spectras,so glad I could get that many.

When we got to the room before Hostage area,I told everyone to stay back and let me solo. Everything went easy peasy.

Alert pops up this planet/node so now I have to change planets again. New PUG. I explain to everyone the tactic I used for the previous streak and to just let me solo the hostage room. LITERALLY as the hostage door is opening for the hostage to come out, alarms go off, one those noobs couldn't listen... One of the others raged out on him so I got a good laugh, Lol

Next run, perfect I believe couple more random PUGs ppl not listening. Mind you, I'm not just asking them to stand back and I solo, I explain to them that max durability Loki is better on this part and none of them have Loki or even Ash, yet they can't follow logic...

Anyway, those perfect runs helped me finish sooner than I thought. Got my rag tag, Lol

  12. You really seem to like arguing stuff that's not even the point of your suggestion, you could have just explained the random game you referenced better instead of claiming people who don't know it can't do anything correctly.

    PVP contributions mate

Ignoring your odd assertions that even in real life there's no such things bullying or bragging and anyone stating otherwise is carebare.....

What is your actual opinion with only seeing the best contributors?

Explain myself better? I assumed I was speaking to mostly upper teens, even younger teens. There was nothing much more to clear about I had already stated something...

Question, did you Google just 'SB contributions' or 'SB Clan(Guild) Contribution?'

I never implied such, 'assertions'. Just that I personally had never dealt with it. And I've worked in environment(s) that does a reward system.

Why just the top contributors and not all?!  Even if just the Clan Leader who has this (which is more so important tome.)

If you have to worry about being bullied and 'epeen' at by your clan ldr then maybe you shouldn't be there.

It's a harmless feature, yet very useful.

  13.

While i'm agree with OP that high rank players easily can don't even known a basic mechnics.

But... this sentence... R15, 1100h+ in the game here. Rhino is rusher paradise, Rhino and Nova are a good way to describe "no brain and pressXtowin" for low level (i can say that current Ceres and Pluto enemy level can be decribes as "low"). Find me any Nova that know how to use AMDrop rather then spamming MPrime constantly overriding it befor it even expires.

Find me a Rhino that is not a hallway hero (who will eventually get down 50% of the time lol)

As for Trinity, Trinity can be no brain in the hands of experienced player.

Why am i saying this? A "no brain" way to play Trinity (Link + Bless) requires a lot of Energy restores (neither a Nova or Rhino needs them with F. Expertise, Trinity still is), a player that plays this way (even with Bless only) and keeps team alive as well literally living by timer as soon as enemies start to OHKO.

I can't tell that it's extremely hard, i can't tell that it's complete "no brain" too.

Most people will likely dislike it but I wish there was a MR requirement for some frames like there are for weapons. MR6 for Soma and MR 8 for Embolist, etc

All frames should not be readily available, especially dummy mode frames Rhino, Nova and Trinity. Maybe add in a Mastery Test that needs to be completed before getting these frames, Lol

Lotus: "Tenno, show me that you have x amount of common sense to posses this frame."

They seriously need [extended] cooldowns, at least on ults.

    edit:

this mission really is best played solo.

loki with any decent invisibility build will walk through it.

run the ceres mission. when going into the prison area, hang a left and snipe from the broken section of fence.

you can hit all of the wardens from there.

once they're dead. leisurely take down the arc traps from a distance, stealth again, hack the door, kill the lone guard, hack the prison door and then double-time to extraction. give your target your side-arm and just run-and-gun your way out. if possible making sure you don't activate the alarms and get a prosecutor on you, he seems to agro to the rescue target before he does you.

13 missions, 12 successful. (one because i mistimed my invisibility and got swamped by wardens / prosecutors)

I may have to do that  :\

  14. Honestly, it's not the fault of the genre. It's the fault of the developers for not balancing/not placing in new mechanics to force players together. And DE is faulty of this.

And while a lot of people will hate me for this, I think the reason behind it is all the entitled people, who just want to be the "hero" or the "best", compleatly ok with faulty balance and the lack of proper game mechanics, crying hell at the developers if they even think about touching their power fantasy gear, or make the opposition challenging.

And so, the games doesn't require skill. Just e-pen gear.

I see. But not all blame can be put on the Devs, since players like me have adjusted. And this is my 1st shooter game after years of being a MMORPG. I can only imagine how many other shooters the avg player here have played. Likely more than me,since again this is my first.

But i see what you mean with the Devs. They took far too long to balance the frames and still taking long. Nova and Trinity should have been seen long ago. Nova I can probably overlook because most game have a 'nuker' class. But Trinity OPL33tUCantTouchThis mode is ridiculous. I only maxed her to 30 and never touched her again

  15.

They're too used to nuking entire rooms with 4 to win.

    1) This mission is best to play solo.

    2) This game doesnt reward skill and its no surprise majority of the players don't even bother  - you can play lazily and have no clue what you are doing and still win almost everything.

Sadly this is the truth. Rhino, Nova and Trinity brain dead players don't have to worry about ever acquiring skills.Grab a Penta, Soma and Boltor Prime then spray and pray. Rinse and repeat.

At you and everyone else that mentioned solo play. I prefer group plays/co-op I know >_<  Solo is boring. I bout my P32 2 Black Fridays ago got two Uncharted and 2 Infamous for free and have only played half the first Infamous before letting the PS3 collect dust. Yes I know consoles have co-op games, but I prefer PC and MMOs.

Damn DE spammed Youtube with Warframe ads for like a month before I joined back in August. I'm on Youtube everyday nearly and I can't recall the last 'Ninjas Play For Free" ad I've seen... I feel duped >_<

I just don't see the point of playing a co-op game in solo mode. I minus well invest in solo play games, is how I see it. Shoot I even left my clan last month after so many mths since all those mofos came off as noobs. I'm raging here yo, lmao

As soon as B&S comes I'm done with shooter games. Genre is a damn joke, at least when it comes to public games. Never have I experience in raid/dungeons in MMORPGS. Everyone knows to work together and yes there's noobs there in that genre too, but just from the two shooters (Hawkens(PVP) and Warframe(PVE) I've experience... smmfh, this genre takes the phucking cake, icing and all tsk.

After posting this thread I went into another mission. I even explain things before he got to the part to rescue hostage. Everyone laid back and let me solo the first two wardens. The other one sounded the alarm while I'm soloing the damn arc traps. Despite them being right behind me when we open the big door that needs two players to open it.

I can't help it, I'm competitive. You can't always win, but at least do your best and that's what counts. People here just seem content with just getting the job done.

They rather run 50  2pt missions instead of lets say 16/17 6pt missions... There's no drive to be at least somewhat skilled. I understand it's a game and "lets just have fun." But damn, easy mode frames and weapons have indeed diluted any chance of the avg player acquiring/gaining skills...

I can't wait to enjoy the tears of the Trinity fangirls and hopefully soon the Rhino and Nova nubcakes.

  16. While I will inevitably get the usual "just play with clan members", "get a better coordinated team", "play solo", etc, I still feel this needs to be said.

As it is right now, a very, very small percentage of players know, or care for that matter, how stealth works. Most of those players are veterans who have been around since closed beta, when stealth and such was possible, if a tad lame.

Dropping Rescue 2.0 on a community which has had zero reason or method to practise stealth whatsoever, outside of Mastery Rank testing, has awarded the community with a lot of really, really clumsy stealth.

Many players who aren't collectors or completionists decided not to keep the stealthy frames like Ash or Banshee, while those who exploit Loki understand very little of his stealth capabilities outside of perma-invisibility.

Being permanantly invisible is not stealth. If a foe sees friend get diced up in front of his eyes, he will press the button.

If a far-off gunner sees some grineer fall to a hail of invisible bullets, he will press the button.

If an enemy in the next room hears a penta going off close enough to the door, he'll press the button.

And if you fling castanas around and break the windows, well then, you might as well just go Rambo and forego stealth altogether at that point.

A few players understand that there are stealthy weapons. A few of them carry the Dread, which is a good choice. The Despair are too.

But few understand that while you make your ridiculously OP soma slightly less ridiculously OP if you put a silencer on it, it will be silent.

Since the arrival of the Carrier, nobody felt like using almost any other sentinal. Friendly heads up; Shade still exists. Use it.

Even if you don't want to shell out for a Shade, you can make your Carrier's weaponry silent, or make it not attack at all.

Not all melee stealth attacks are silent. Some of them will actually alert nearby enemies to the fact that you're trying to be sneaky about knocking them off. Weapons like daggers deal less damage than the swords and the hammers, but they will keep you quiet.

Finally, use the codex scanner as a scouter. It's very helpful to equip the scanner to a hotkey, and when entering a room, to bring it out and take a quick look around. It'll show you every single enemy in the room, their positions, movement direction, AND the electrical traps.

I myself am getting tired of standing in a cloud of static to unlock the door while my team members are off doing who knows what.

I write this not as a complaint essay for the new stealth mission, but just as a heads up to other players who may or may not know stealthy mechanics. Some of us actually WANT to stealth now that we've been given a way and incentive to.

Lmfao, you just ninja'd my thread. Like seriously,I was wondering if I'm the only one.

  17. TLDR - This isn't meant as a rant, just venting but wish more people would utilize common sense in the Rescue 2.0.

    ------------------

What's going on here. It seems that the average player, no matter which mastery rank 13+ or 15,seem to be noobs.

This new Rescue 2.0 thing is so easy and simple yet people are failing it.... Just had two straight fails after 5 successes.

What I've observed. The rushers, plague in this game. Run right pass the first warden (there goes free pts there, since he goes to activate/alert alarms). Within the first 5 missions I was always able to kill this 1st guy fast. But these pro rushers have speed loadout so I can only see from a distance how they're screwing up.

Once the countdown starts, people lolly gag around, breaking crates, no urgency to hack and open door to holding cell room, to which we then need to hack again.

I know I know the trolls are gonna run rampant in here, I expecting less. Already dealt with the same crap on Hawkens forums two weeks ago when I let off on the avg player there being Grade A crap. To which one calm person responded with; "We are all at different skill levels.

I understand that and I'm no G.I.Joe myself and I don't expect Navy Seal trained players, but DAMN common sense is common sense.

People are just utterly destroying PUGs ( at least from my experience with the only 2 FPS/Shooter games I've ever played) Geez, I cant wait to go back to MMORPG, FPS/Shooters are a joke. Everyone wants to be Rambo but aren't Rambo.

Tip: When you open the big door that needs two ppl, let a stealth player go first, if you have one. Loki, Ash, etc.

Kill the very 1st warden, he's always has his back to you. Hurry up the ramp the 2nd guy heard the gun shot and is at the console rdy to start the kill countdown (you miss out on pts here).

Slide while shooting at the traps, to the other side to safety, coming back up slowly killing the other traps.

Hack console (hope fully if you did early steps right, there's no countdown.

Get in [kill] and rescue hostage, make sure you got all wardens and boom perfect score. I'm utterly baffled on how simple things can be made so complicated...

New mission is nice and fun, but players (avg, and/or at least my 'region' as a few Hawkens players brought up >_>) are just not up to par...

  18. Reply

(TL:DR Clans are diverse, not all are as sensible as others, DE should take care implementing. I do very much want to view contributions)

Prevalent is subjective. Warframe peaked near 16k on steam today, how many of those should be effected before it warrants attention. Can you provide any metrics that it will be 1 or 2 people and not 300?

I had not heard of Scarlet Blade but a quick google search got that contributions are kills, damage done to npcs/objectives and healing done in a single battleground, basically your battleground score and something warframe already reports as "Results" after each mission. Completely irrelevant to a resource donation which also goes to acquiring personal gear/gear power and requires farming/time/luck for those resources in the first place.

I agree that recognition for contributing is desirable but that doesn't have to go hand in hand with epeen bragging and talking down to the "lesser contributors". Some players may be lucky and their own clan may be very sensible but that doesn't necessarily make it the majority of the community. Also as I mentioned, once the functionality is actually available opinions change, previously simple/trivial things become viewed as necessary by some.  The power is still in DE's hands and as such would be partially their fault, not just the clans with issues that may be but not limited to, kicking, demoting, publicly shaming, caused drama between members not even including the founders/officers of a clan. Depending of course on viewing permissions.

Members' event scores are not readily viewable besides the top few on the leaderboards (and only during the event), it takes a lot of time and effort to discover that score for each member, most so in the moon clans. Through what I read, it is my understanding what you are proposing is an extremely efficient (and permanent) way to view rankings of people in clans and it would currently be the only ranking to base anything on, all the focus of who is better would be on their contributing. This may not be the view of a those who see it rather as a way to give out recognition but the translation of systems into a game is rarely clearly received.

    Question

Would forma give more points than nano spores or could the system be gamed?

    Suggestions

I'd suggest it would implement better/smoother along side a collection of clan rankings, possibly including timed parkour courses, dueling, clan rail defense, clan rail tax payed(as suggested by Trives), number of trades in own clan dojo, number of missions run with fellow clan members. Were it to be available viewing to the majority of ranks, which I think would be a much more likely endeavor that the Devs spend time on, than a Warlord/General/Officers specific addition.

As a sidenote only the top 16 can be seen on leaderboards and I haven't seen complaints about this on the forums, it even appears to have made it a more prestigious and automatically recognised accomplishment, requiring no ascii thumbs up from any other players in the game, couldn't it be a good thing for warlords to have less work?

. Sorry for the slight necro, this is the first I've had a chance to get back on the net.

Sorry I didn't read whole thing, busy but from I skimmed I had to touch on this part. Google clearly didn't serve you correctly or you didn't search/look correctly.

As you touched on, you haven't played the game so I don't get why you mentioned the other stuff you said since it's null and void due to the fact of what I stated already.

In Scarlet Blade, any clan member can contribute/donate armor/gear pieces, resources and money. Let me break it down further. That means boots, helms, armor and gloves, etc. Look at it as an equivalent to Warframes BPs for frames.

In SB you can contribute resources, equivalent here would be like being able to contribute Orokin catalyst and reactors.

It's one thing if I had said that I 'heard' SB had this feature and there's another when I state that I have/had experience with the game. Therefore there was no need for a redundant Google search that served no purpose for your case.

Also, again, as I stated before, there were never any 'epeen' posts/threads on SB's forums. People can be trolls etc but some areas are void of them. The contribution boasting was never an issue during my time playing SB. I doubt it would be here. Too many carebears worried over nothing. It's a nice feature that would help with managing rewards/benefits.

Even in real life, we collect data and have reward systems and incentives. I don't deal with or hear bout people boasting and bullying others over who's done what or not.

If so, that's your particular environment. As a whole, in general the issue isn't a prevalent one to be concern about.

  19. Will DE be working on surface areas in Gardens?

Yesterday I thought I would make a row of shrubs/bushes, but their placement and the lack of qualified surfaces to plant them are a problem.

Leto Garden - I was just trying to add a maple tree to the room, but can't add it nowhere in the room. There's no smooth surfaces  :(

I understand all rooms won't be available to have/host all decorations. But a room that alrdy comes with maple trees I was disappointed that I couldn't add more, even if just one  :\
