  1. Just wait until you take a break from Warframe (heresy I know)  and forget to put away your Kubrow. Come back 8 days later and see that your potatoed, formaed Kubrow is almost dead and gone forever.

I enjoy Warframe immensely, but if a take I take an unplanned break from Warframe, it feels like DE is punishing me. Which is a weird thing to feel from a game developer.

  2. The problem with reducing coptering is that the game is gonna play slower. Maybe you personally want the game to run at a slower pace, but I assure that thousands of vets would simply quit if they slowed the game down. The same vets that run clans and talk up Warframe to their friends and on forums.

If they remove/reduce coptering but add something else so we can move just as fast, all would be fine.

  3. IMO, if people like the OP hate the Void Trader so much just remove it and no more Primed Mods ever. Then we won't have any more of these 37 page mega-whine threads.

Personally, I was hyped for Void Trader initially, but months of the same things when there are hundreds of mods they could potentially prime just makes him worthless. It would take many, many years to get a good selection of Primed mods at this rate and by that time I will (likely) be done with the game.

  4. The length of the raid isn't the problem, it's the fact ther's no clear way of knowing what you're suppose to do

No indicator what-so-ever to point you in the right direction

So wait 24 hours and go to Youtube or the wiki.

  5. Don't even bother bringing anything that isn't Loki, Ash, Nyx, Vauban, or Trinity.

Once you reach the second part of the mission, it becomes nearly impossible and we last nearly half out squad to ragequitting thanks to the fact we were stuck on that one part for quite literally an hour.

The puzzles leave no room for error, and you'll no matter what frame you bring you'll be brought down rather quickly - May as well bring something that can keep the enemies from attacking you.

The biggest waste of time and frustration for a very small reward by my standards.

You forgot Banshee, Frost and Nova.

  6. Did a couple runs tonight with a group that was 3 clannies plus pugs, thought it was pretty fun.

Then again, I'm MR19 and used to raid in WoW pretty hardcore, so I'm hardly your average gamer. If you want challenging content where you have to actually plan and communicate, this is it. If you're looking for an 8 player exterminate mission that you can play drunk with one hand tied behind your back while watching TV, you're going to be very disappointed.

It was pretty bizarre of DE to release such challenging content in what is an otherwise very easy, casual game.

  7. Sorry to rain on your parade, but braton is not better than synoid, boltor, or soma for the higher endless missions. And you don't put corrosive for proc's, you go viral and four CP's. I've gone into games where heavies will eat a whole clip of a fully maxed out viral braton prime, that's with ZERO armor rating from the four CP's. It doesn't matter how much corrosive you proc with any weapon, once you get over 60min, their health gets way out of hand and the only way to really stay in the game is with weapons that are dps monsters COMBINED with sonar/roar/mprime (the more the merrier). It can do 50min with ammo restores and/or ammo mutation but after that, you start running into ammo problems one way or another; after 60, it feels like a pea shooter.

And in case you're wondering, I'm a huge braton supporter  and fan. I have the three bratons (wasn't here for the vandal) potatoed and formaed and braton prime is my used weapon. After the buff, that is the single weapon that always stays in my loadouts. Not to mention that my braton carried me through first half of the solar system.

For reference, once of the best builds i've found for braton is the one I'm currently using that uses shred which is amazing for crowds and hitting them behind cover, maxed ammo mutation which I've found it is a very good trade instead of just more damage. And for proc's, I always go viral/electric as viral damage is fairly decent for all factions and is one of the most usefel procs while electric is robots since they laugh at slash damage and the proc is incredibly useful. I just spray first and this will proc a few electrics which will give plenty of breathing room to take out the smaller mobs while keeping the heavier ones locked. Then I finish off the heavies.

You're being far too serious for this silly troll thread. Great information, but you're ruining the vibe.

  8. As far as EGate is concerned, it is a problem and DE tried to correct it.  But no reasonable person would say that EGate as it was was perfectly fine.

I guess the massive numbers of people who farmed Viver/Draco/EGate aren't reasonable people. So would you posit that the Warframe playerbase is full of unreasonable people?

  9. Warframe isn't intended to be played solo. You're going to have the same exact problem everytime you encounter a mobile defense, defense or interception and prolly survival too.

You get a bunch of bonus xp at the end of a mission just for having other players in your squad. Not to mention how nice it is to have someone around to pick you up when you go down.

  10. such changes are always possible to have taken place. deducing whether the answer is yes or no is nigh impossible due to Weighted Drop Chances.

'datamining' the answer would take years.

Since you're a founder and were playing before and after Nekros, you would have some idea if the drop rates suddenly got halved. If Orokin Cells and Neural Sensors drop rate got halved, it would be pretty easy to tell.

If we're talking about mod drops then I'd have to agree with ya, no way to know the drop chance of the uber rares.

  11. 'loot multiplication' is harmful to the game and by it's existence forces Players to use it.

the game would be healthier without it. without it 'Drop Rates' can be much fairer for everyone.

funny, that people think l00t multiplication is a good thing. when they don't realize that if Nekros can multiply L00t by 3x, then 'drop rates' for good stuff will just be 3x lower than it would otherwise be.

You were playing the game before Nekros was introduced. Tell me, did they half the drop rates once Nekros was introduced?

Were they halved since the introduction of Pilfering Swarm?

Your theoretical problem does not exist, and you've been playing long enough to know this.

  12. The DPS is exactly the same. DPS doesn't start until you begin firing. That's why they call it "DPS", and not "Time To Kill".

Your DPS is zero if you're not doing any damage. The term comes from MMO's. And if you're out of range or dead you would be doing zero dps.

In the Warframe forums, people like to use dps to mean "theoretical dps using an extremely simple mathematical model." So I suppose in this arbitrary, simple model you could argue it only starts once you start dealing damage. While it makes it easy for math comparisons, it ignores actual game play. And you're already ignoring accuracy, recoil, spin up time and range, so why not ignore even more math?

So basically you're both right. Just be aware that the Warframe definition ignores the much more widely used MMO definition.
