  1. I got Booben a long time ago, but with today's alert I now have a full spare set of parts, just in case DE decides to use them one day (how hard would you rage if Booben Prime required all of the regular parts as well?).  I keep a spare Oberon set for the same reason.

  2. She just joined a match with me in progress, and the first time I killed her was with radial javelin.  We killed each other quite a few times.  This is the first time I can ever recall playing with a dev, in any game.  Pretty good match, but my team lost.

BTW, how do you take screenshots?  Print screen didn't work for me.

  3. Just call it how it is - some don´t like the movement system based on their personal perference but don´t obfuscate your subjective opinion by claiming that the movement system is broken. It isn´t - some simply can´t or don´t want to deal with it while others enjoy it.

As I said earlier, it's not a matter of skill. You can copter through the map faster than any weapon can even strip your shields. That certainly qualifies as broken. And don't try to tell me that the defenders can just copter just as fast after them. You can't shoot while coptering, and when you stop to shoot they'll be ou of your LOS before you deal any real damage.

I haven't complained too much for two reasons: 1, the teams usually have each other's cephalon at the same time, and 2, half the matches I play glitch out so it ends up being a deathmatch until the timer runs out, so it doesn't matter.

  4. I barely noticed the difference. It's still entirely possible to copter, directional melee, and wallrun-catapult yourself from one end of the map to another before the opposing team can target you. It's not a matter of skill; you can get away around a corner faster than any weapon can deal enough damage to take even half of your shields.

  5. Because heavy weapons with 540 ammo was perfectly fine.

Give me 1 000 000 ammo for my Boltor Prime, because of balance.

So the only option was to reduce it down to 20?  They over-corrected.  Somewhere between 50 to 75 rounds would be a good balance.

Also, I don't see anyone complaining about the Opticor having 540 rifle ammo.  It has more in common with bows and launchers than with a conventional rifle.  Every other weapon with that much damage per shot has significant ammo restrictions, no matter what other shortcomings it may have.

  6. Nah. Clearly everything's fine with them. Because we haven't been getting 5 threads everyday about how the nerf ruined everything. (If you recall, back when they had effectively unlimited ammo people complained about it constantly)

Probably because nobody uses them anymore. Except for the rare Torid doing area of denials on defence objectives, I never see launchers. I haven't seen a Penta in months, and it used to be king of the power weapons.
  7. I'm pretty sure this vault thing is just temporary.  DE has plans for "blowing up" the Void and scattering prime parts around the solar system.  There's zero chance of that happening when U16/the new PA launches, so this is probably just a temporary measure.  If they're blowing up the Void, there's no point in putting effort into adding Volt Prime and the new weapons into the existing drop tables, so instead they're opting for a direct replacement of Frost/Latron/Reaper parts, stuff which is easy to get and has been around so long that almost everyone has them.  Any other scenario seems highly unlikely to me.

  9. No, we're getting Volt Prime.  Unless you mean the prime that will follow him.  People said we were getting Nyx based on the video quotes, but it was actually Loki.  And then Nyx followed him.  So DE might be trying to hint that Vauban will follow Volt.

  10. Honestly. . . doesn't sound very good.  Farm parts for ducats that you then use to buy different parts?  May as well just add the old prime stuff as pre-built items in the market and charge plat.  Even though people use trade chat to basically buy prime stuff, I still don't think having a feature to buy prime stuff like this is a good idea.

  11. I don't get all the people saying Paracyst. With the right elementals and a max rank multishot, it's a very respectable burst rifle. It also has a large mag, quick reload, and very good accuracy considering its lack of aiming ability. The alt-fire harpoon also has a lot of utility.

On the other hand, I hated the Mutalist Quanta because it obscured my vision. Between the spinning arms and the spray of energy, I couldn't tell if I was actually hitting anyone.

  12. Honestly, some days I just don't understand this community.  Everyone has been complaining that they want the stuff on rotation, and now that they get it they complain about that too.  There's three things on rotation to keep people happy who didn't get it the first time, and a new skin so there's something for the up-to-date people.  Plus gives a lot of us some time to stock up on ducats and credits.

The way things are going, all of the leaked stuff we're waiting on will show up as the new extra alongside the rest of the rotation.

  13. Now that Archwing is being expanded into Sharkwing, we have both a large addition to this new gamemode, as well as a new tileset to play it on.  Unfortunately that's a prime opportunity to introduce a new resource.  Rare or hard-to-obtain resource that only drops from Sharkwing areas?  I can already imagine the rage.

Do you think it will happen?  Has been there any comments by DE to that effect that I've missed?  What do you think such a resource could be?

  14. Newer players get drawn to Rhino because he's a damage dealer and taker.  His 1 and 4 are damage-dealers, with 4 also having some limited CC if you mod for duration.  His 2 makes you invulnerable to knockdowns from Moas, laser barriers, Scorpions, as well as status effects.  At lower levels, you can keep it up indefinitely with little effort.  His only "team" skill is Roar, which very few if any people ever use.

Loki, on the other hand, does not deal damage.  None of his abilities can directly kill things.  His powers are much more tactical oriented.  Decoy is great when placed properly to divert attention from defence objectives or to draw in enemies for easier killing.  Disarm works the same whether enemies are lvl 1 or lvl 100; at high level content (i.e. T4) the damage-based powers drop off, while CC scales endlessly.  Switch Teleport is great for getting teammates out of the middle of crowds when they get downed, or for putting enemies in different locations (like Raptor-in-a-box).  When used in conjuction with Decoy you can teleport yourself quickly to otherwise difficult to access areas.  Invisibility is admittedly very easy to cheese, especially thanks to that stealth bonus, but can also allow Loki to disarm, teleport, revive, and move around unnoticed.

Loki is also very fragile compared to Rhino, so he's more punishing when you rush into a crowd and get surrounded.  All that being said, the skill difference--real or imagined--isn't that big.  I think Rhino is just easier to pick up and play for newbies, and his powers are more straightforward in their uses.
