  1. Something tells me this is due to being a client. The host can likely still see it. My guess is this is part of that mess of moving parts DE told us about. I noticed that many visual effects, like the toxin sprayer clouds, remained even after the trap disappeared. Thankfully those clouds didn't actually hurt, but it was hard to tell if they were bugged or actually there in the sortie today.

  2. Invisible Decoy

    Talk about an oxymoron...

Why not just take away the whole health thing as it is? Make it a simple projection instead of some hardlight structure? Either way, there are other much more useless mods as far as I'm concerned. This one is still useful for those who choose to use it.

  3. I gave the rework a big try, and even though I'm happy with Smoke Screen, Bladestorm completely missed the problems players insisted on wanting fixed. The fact that we get locked in an animation seemingly without the spectres, along with the added necessity to mark enemies, really feels like a punch in the face.

I completely understand that as developers, you need to make decisions to better the game, not spoil the player, but what we asked for was very well justified. We wanted to feel like we were the ones slicing through hordes of enemies, not some bot.

As for the invincibility, I remember that being added in. The constant bugs that would glitch players out if an enemy died from an outside source needed to be dealt with, and the spectres helped speed things up to make up for the invincibility. That being said, I also remember the sheer amount of times either my friends or myself had to help our Ash out of a never-ending stab fest on Ancient Healer-buffed Heavy Gunners in the void, and how difficult it would be to kill it in the split second between his teleportations.

It would have just been better to remove the player from Bladestorm, let the spectres jump around, and remove enemy invincibility. If a spectre ended up glitched at the end of the ability, it would just disappear after it was over, unlike the player, meaning we would get our interactivity back while we cut the glitches and bugs, and everybody could be happy.

And don't even get me started on the energy drain, that's salt in the wound right there. Knowing how you all at DE work though, I'm sure you'll find a better solution in the weeks to come.

Good luck with this. Players seem to think that Forma, Primed and Riven are a "choice", which they really aren't.

I'll just buy a 2nd weapon if I have to, so there's no point in a choice you can omit.

Built Forma used to be a login reward. The same value was place on a 3 hour booster for login rewards. Sorties gives a 3 day reward, also forma. One of these is a blatant filler roll.

Personally I'm going to try it out on easy days for a while then likely stop doing Sorties. I'd rather farm something that's not behind a Wait Wall and use the resulting plat to buy veiled Riven. Their reasoning behind Nitain was esp dumb. Something like "A high percentage of players have less than 9 Nitain so we added..."  Yea, a high percentage of people eat food but that doesn't mean my work is going to pay me in bananas. Not to mention at least 1/4 Sorties players are leechers who don't have the gear to actually do them.

Honestly, the whole deal about players having less than 9 Nitain feels redundant. I don't have much Nitain because I've built everything I want that needs Nitain. Why would I go farming specifically for it? Sure, if I see an alert that includes Nitain and is either super easy or seems fun, I'll run it. But if I don't need it I'm not going out of my way for it. Same with Forma. I remember getting fully built Forma from the void. I never went specifically for them, they just popped up. Why spend time and a bit of sanity in small instances for something I really don't care about?

Good thing we are getting a rework then huh, now it will just be the good players that  adapt and change to the rework and the rest who will complain on forums membering the good olds days, just like sayrn

Except Saryn had loads of synergy that completely upped her kit. Based on what I've heard, Ash's only other changes are that Smokescreen doesn't lock you in place or on the ground now, and that invisibility reduces Bladestorm cost. Sounds like Naramon would be easier to use imo. If they changed some serious mechanics I'd agree with you, but really they just made Smokescreen easier to use and Bladestorm slower to use.

  6. It would have been way cooler to see Bladestorm put Ash into a trance where he can just teleport between enemies like the archwings jump between enemies while meleeing. Marking enemies sounds slow and clunky, and while the whole invincibility issue was brought forth due to bugs from way back when, it feels lazy that they didn't openly try to fix it somehow. Besides, I thought the biggest point of the rework was to basically remove the animation due to complaints of motion sickness and the like. What's the point of calling it a rework when in reality they just added a gate on it?

    1 - Can we solo?

2 - Does Toxin Chroma still count?

3 - What about the fact that there are only 2 secondaries that fall under these conditions: Atomos and (Sancti) Castanas?

4 - Can I bring a Sentinel, and if so, can I use the Vulklok (pure electric damage)?

5 - Can we use augments on our frames?

6 - Can we use the Void if we have no prime frames? Because Void is my favorite survival tileset.

    7 - Min/Max enemy level?

Number 4 and 7 are the big ones. I'm gonna assume that Kubrows and Kavats are disqualified, but if it comes to it a sentinel should be fine if you either have no weapon or the Vulklok. As for 7, that's the real question. We could just start on an early planet, or one without specific enemy types (like Napalms and Scorches *shudders*). There should be more clarification there. Or maybe just split the submissions by levels/nodes/faction. Idk

The whole reason the original Arcane Helmets were removed was because it created a conflict between appearance and stats. DE realized that having bonuses tied to specific cosmetics was a bad idea, so why would they re-implement the same error they made when Warframe first launched?

      Hide contents

P.S. You realize the Celestia Syandana is a syndicate syandana, too, right?

@Heckzu is right. As much as I hated the decision to completely rid the game of arcane helmets, it's agreeable that a player shouldn't have to use specific cosmetics for stats.

It would've been way better if we could have infused arcanes into a different cosmetic for that same frame, along with giving the ability to remove the arcane enhancement as well, but what's done is done I suppose.

Wouldn't that actually drive plat sales up? Knowing roughly how much things go for instead of blind hoping people are on with thing and they want to trade for a price you can afford?

While there are balancing tidbits located in supply and demand, there are reasons governments set a floor and a ceiling when it comes to trade. A ceiling is made so that producers/sellers can't completely monopolize and hike up prices to such exorbitant rates as to drain consumers/buyers. A floor is made so that competition between sellers does about the same, with those who can take a hit can wipe the rest out, leading into the first problem.

With an in-game economy, it tends to be a bit different. For the most part it remains the same. If you add in the ability to see what everybody sells their items for in-game, it opens things up for somebody to completely skew the economy, much like what happened in Vindictus either last year or the year before. A player just put stupid prices on things and messed up the trade system for a while. But that's not usually much of a worry.

The more troubling thing for any developer team is that players can more easily acquire items for cheaper, thus spending less platinum, in turn leading to less income for the team. That being said, Warframe already has an out-of-game auction house, and hasn't really caused much of a problem; instead it gives more organization and spurs others to buy platinum. So I dunno. I don't know how it would affect things, but it would likely not affect much at all.

    TL;DR

It probably won't make much of a difference.

  10. That's what most MMOs would refer to as an auction house. I remember there being speculated reasons why they aren't added in, but can't remember why exactly other than it gives players a much more stable market, allowing us to get things for a fair deal. In a way, that means marginally less plat purchasing, but without proper stats I can't say how much. Gotta say though, I'd love to have it.

It shows mastery NR, not weapon name. So no, we haven't.

Aye, it shows master rank, but it also says the weapon's name as the first word in the mod name. Didn't think that needed pointed out a second time.

  12. The accuracy nerf was what made me stop using my Vectis and Lanka almost entirely. I do like the idea of making snipers different from bows, and I like the combo meter, but maybe something else should set that apart. I think it'd be cool to see little weakpoints pop up on enemies while scoped in, kinda like Banshee's Sonar, and they'd give boosts to damage and the combo counters, or other things. Anything to bring them back and separate them from bows.

  13. If you haven't tried already, see about putting it on your Tiberon. Mine is a Burston Igni-Scicak, and it only works on my Burston to my disappointment. I'm gonna reroll it when I can and see if I can get it on a different weapon, but it seems weapon locked to me.

Let's be honest. Nobody who did the quest right when it came out got what they wanted because none of the schools are as advertised.

I dunno, I got Naramon. Pretty sure it followed a better example than Madurai's supposed theme at least, even though I usually go Zenurik instead.
