Isn't this referring to pre-Nezha 🤔 I mean, I find it weird that you said "it wouldn't work before" like Nezha could drop health orbs pre-revisit while still addressing the 100% drop chance in the previous paragraph. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong but no need to be a *@##$ because I understood incorrectly.

The reason it wouldn't work before is that Health Orbs don't drop all that frequently unless you have a Nekros or some other frame that encourages their drop rates, and so trying to stack up Health Conversion without dying was difficult, if not pointless. However now, you are able to take damage, Halo up, use your Blazing Chakram to stack your Health Conversion, and then simply take a little jump off a cliff to get the Halo off of you, using it as soon as you respawn from voiding out.

Nezha's Blazing chakram never dropped health orbs before the rework

Hirudo's ability fits with Nidus incredibly well. Managing his tankiness and HP while dealing damage. I don't think that he MUST be able to use Hirudo+Deimos, but it would be awesome if he could.

Hirudo's ability also fits other frames that can be just as tanky. I'm guessing you're just linking it because it's an infested weapon that came with Nidus. But as i said Model/Coding restrictions will not make it possible + the fact it's two different weapon types.

But people with favored frames will. It will be avoided by them. Either way, the next best frame will more than likely be used since multiple frames can do the same job but there's always one or two+ that can do the same.

But we are just playing by the rules, and DE allowed this powercreep to make the game into a no-challenge casual cakewalk with legit-cheat abilities. There are unkillable frames, you can solo survival for hours till you fall asleep. Its got so bad that people want to just disable abilities or ban frames lol

    1

From the beginning there were frames who were unkillable and frames who easily wiped. People had no problem easily killing back then even when there were cheat enemies like grineer with armor AND shields. People easily survived endless missions back then too. It existed back then, it exists now. There is no powercreep. If people want to play frames without using their abilities then they can, it's a choice, meta will always exist. The next time a challenging content is dropped people will already know the easiest/best way to beat it period.

This is always a problem in this new era of gaming. I always thought a suitable solution would be rather than opt out,  allow for reversions in the simulcron, or allow in solo mode gameplay. I can understand forcing the lockout of certain powers when they lead to excessive exploit in solo mode. In simulcron though, you would enable displeased ' customers' the chance to relive their gladiating days and experiment with new strategies that could be tested against their older strategies and possibly lead to things or ideas that had not been fully considered. For extra code to allow in simulcron, I dont see how they could go wrong.

I doubt enabling people to allow to use older non-updated abilities would please them and it will be a waste of code. Opting out of updated mechanics makes not sense otherwise why update it in the first place? It's a general consensus that Nezha is much better than before so instead of the OP trying to adapt/cope with it he wants the old Nezha back? Rhino is still there for all his better (old)Nezha needs.

No, baro should not sell everything in his inventory for his 100th vist, it would be a big slap in the face towards the people who bought the digital ticket for Tennocon. Should there be something unique and awesome for his 100 visit? Sure, but not everything in his entire inventory.

  8. "More fun Before the rework" 😂 You mean just cast firewalker and warding halo and run around shooting things. Occasionally using divine spears and barely using b.chakram? The minority keeps saying that the "heal aoe is better than health orbs" but you want to know what the majority says? "Nezha has an aoe heal?? :suspicion:" Because the range was so insignificant and small, it literally didn't matter if it was there or not.

I'm surprised at how many people have said they prefer Nezha's old healing when it was a small-area burst that you often entirely missed out on if you were a little out of range... where now you get every single enemy dropping a health orb, that every player can pick up, regardless of what range they were.

Per enemy hit, yeah, it's less healing, but because it's a better ability overall, and because it also drops Energy orbs, you can cast it at literally everything. I've spent less time in game with that Chakram on my back than I have with it flying around the map. What surprises me in most cases is that I end up not needing the orbs that drop on anything less than level 50-60 missions (like Plains Bounties), because with the amount of DR I get out of Halo, the amount of CC from Firewalker and Spears and Chakram combined, I'm just not taking the damage or using as much energy as I can actually produce.

I mean, before the change, I barely ever used Chakram, it was my 'don't bother' ability. I would instead spend that energy on another Halo or Spears cast and toggle off my Firewalker so I could drop an energy pad or, later on, use Zenurik. It wasn't worth the healing if I wasn't using a weapon that kept me in range of that burst. Nezha's negation of CC on him meant that I could use him for Sniping a lot, moving from location to location to kite enemies into my Firewalker streams, then mowing them down while they were on fire. Rarely did I ever have to get into Melee range when I didn't want to, so I only used Chakram when I remembered it.

Now Chakram is just a... 'see an enemy, chakram the enemy' if you miss, then teleport to it to confuse the enemy and throw it again. Every enemy should have a little halo on it for both the damage increase it gives and the health and energy orb drops ^^

I've not noticed Spears missing enemies as long as they're in range, and I use it as often as I can because of those multiplying Chakram effects, putting that status and buff to our damage on all of them.

Between the smoother casting of every ability and the fact that he's as good as Nekros at creating Health for himself... it's actually pretty impressive. I'm playing him for my solo runs where previously I would have picked, say, Oberon. Oberon is still my go-to for team support, and Zephyr is my favourite for everyday play, but Nezha has made my top five list easily now.

Also, if you haven't farmed up Health Conversion, grab that, it's an awesome mod for defense, adding 1350 armour to him almost immediately after a Chakram cast. This means that, with that mod pumping out stacks from every Health orb you pick up, you're so much tankier at base, with over 80% damage reduction just from your armour, and then 90% on top of that from Warding Halo, you're talking about 98% damage reduction overall.

This guy sums it up pretty well. Nezha is like the only few(?) frames that you can actually say "I use all of his abilities constantly" and not just a few good abilities with a bad one anyone bearly uses.

    Too soon.

It can end up being worse due to some "gimmick".....or to be even more focused on high burst damage, having smaller clip, longer reload, but much better fire rate and damage per shot.

Or it might end up getting slightly lower damage, but better crits with better reload and clip size....but that would be boring.

Might even come out as another "ghost" weapon....and will spawn 5 extra ghost projectiles that hit same point as main bullet did.  And stats would be weird af.  Coz recently DE like their primes with a twist.

Every prime always has stats that are higher than their base counterpart. A gimmick isn't going to degrade their stats. Just look at Pyrana prime

Cool, so the idea behind always leveling a weapon is linked to getting MR for the build, not the end quality of the merged weapon. That’s what I was thinking, but wasn’t sure. I wouldn’t put it past DE for force leveling for better quality weapons, but I’m glad it doesn’t work like that. And to be clear you can only get MR the first time you’ve leveled a weapon, right. For example - Aklex, you’d only get MR for the first lex, but not the second?

Yes, you only get MR xp the first level up.

Oh please, infection doesn't have to be biological, nor is any creature immune to every possible threat. Also, the current lore says that warframes are not autonomous but that can change now that we know how they are created.

As for the void, why would Sentients need to enter it directly to destroy it or create a blockade? They have servants working for them, they poison may not be instantly fatal so they could survive for some time before expiring. They could create drones that they could inhabit that could survive there. I mean there are plenty of ways for science fiction to handle such an event.

Anyway, before the second dream our understanding of the Tenno was very different. You make it sound like we didn't play Warframe for years without this backstory. It can easily be shifted again depending on how DE wants to advance with the new war.

Game of Thrones isn't popular because it follows the rules. It challenges the lore at every turn and defies what we expect. But you keep telling yourself that DE can't change how operators work since it is ingrained deep into the lore.

Except it is biological??? And Tenno/Sentients are immune to the infection. How would the lore change make warframes autonomous? It's deeply established that they aren't, with Umbra being an exception. Any changes to that and you're just breaking lore with bad writing.

Again I ask, how would the sentients block the one power that is poison to them. What servants? Last time I checked the sentients are their own faction. And again you're suggesting things that breaks already established facts. Sentients cannot enter the void nor can they do anything with it. The void being poison is an intended design by the orokin thus they cannot adapt, during Cephalon Suda's quest, Sentients were barely able to survive exposure to the void even with Suda-Hunhow providing protection. There may be plenty of ways to handle it, but nothing says it will keep what was already established intact.

What does our gameplay has to do with lore? Our understanding was that there was someone wearing the warframes or something inside the warframes. So even before we already suspected that warframes aren't able to be used without tenno.

I'm not telling myself. I'm telling you that if DE ever changed the lore to fit whatever concept in your head, it will just break everything that was established and they would end up having to rewrite the lore for what reason? You're just disregarding what's there to try and say this and that can happen...

Since DE is not a AAA company, putting the limited resource into improving/adding dialogues usually means lowering the quality of other aspects such as sound effects and music. As for the bad writing my guess is that other than time is perhaps lack of story direction.

    1

How would adding dialogue reduce the quality of other stuff, this makes absolutely no sense. Operator Dialogue is more than likely something on the backburner of the most minor priority. So hoping for a change is futile.

Personally, I think a great example of dynamic quotes is the new Spider-Man game: in it, Spidey does have a limited set of lines, which trigger on limited occasions, but has a sufficiently large repertoire, sufficiently accurate triggers, and sufficiently well-written lines to pull it off, and truly come across as the fast quipper he's known to be. Operators don't have exact same personality (though they could certainly afford to have more lines where they're more sarcastic/humorous, or simply having fun interacting with their warframe and doing their thing), but the bases are still the same. With a greater repertoire of better-written lines, and usage of them in more appropriate context, it is likely Operator transmissions would be toggled off much less frequently.

    1

Great example indeed but problems with using it as an example.

    1. Spiderman is a very very fleshed out hero, so I don't think it took that much to make lines for him
    2. Expecting AAA level out of an mmo company is just doomed to disappoint
    3. Almost all of the dialogue is scripted into the activities/event/story itself.
    4. There is no repetition in spiderman which means most dialogue would be unique.
    5. Back again to the poin of an AAA level company that has the ability and extensive resources (Sony and Marvel)  that allows them to give an experience. DE is largely on their own is always crunching down on trying to provide new content for the game.

In the New War, the Tenno can be infected and this could either prevent or severely limit their transference abilities. This wouldn't change the core gameplay but it would take the kids out of the gameplay.

The Tenno could free the warframes' minds and restore them to the warriors they were previously. They would still be warframes, just autonomous like Umbra. As such the Tenno would not be needed and you could use another plot point that makes this the desired solution, such as a weapon capable of killing Tenno while transferred, or an infection as outlined above.

Alternatively the Sentients could find a way to destroy the void or block it and this may severely reduce or remove the Tenno's powers.

There are other ideas and these are not even refined, just concepts, but it would not be difficult to lock the Tenno away again.

    • Tenno is immune to infection, and this makes core gameplay make no sense because no tenno = no warframe
    • Warframes do not have a mind of their own. Only Umbra is an exception and autonomy is impossible without the tenno since they are simply drones.
    • The void is poison to sentients, how would they remove/block it? And again this comes back to point #1 no Tenno = Warframes are incapable of doing anything

This just falls under what the person said before, you can think of everything and anything but it won't be a good plot point since operators are already ingrained deep into the lore.

yeah no her 4th is a mess. And her other abilities aren’t that great either.

her 3 is inconsistent and at time redundant. Like what’s the point of giving a frame damage reduction if they have to be in certain areas of the map to actually make use of that.

her 2... I hardly even notice it do anything.

Her 1 is her only good ability and is what has basically carried Mirage.

If you seriously think her 1 is her only good ability then I have nothing more to say to you other than you don't play her enough. So let me correct you on your misassumptions.

    • Low damage that deal radiation damage to enemies, therefore proccing radiation status effect which in turn, turns enemies on themselves
    • Projectile Speed???? The last time I checked, Mirage's 4 has lasers that tracks  the enemy.
    • And what does it bouncing all over the place has to do with it? It lasers auto-aims on any enemy close to it. Aim up if you have a problem with it bouncing around.
    • Her 4 is far from a mess and seems like you lack certain information

Her 3 is her second best ability. Damage multiplier in light and dmg reduction in shadows. Idk what you're going on about but hall of mirrors already does enough in helping you avoid enemy gunfire and the bonus damage is great and if need be just stand in shadows if you're taking so much damage.

Her 2 only sees some semblance of use when used to booby trap otherwise it's her one useless ability.

Also the combo system.  People complain left and right but it's the same people that can't learn how to time the presses for a combo. We are losing combo multiplier, stances, and long time use for melee. Melee 3.0 is going to be the biggest mistake ever. I may as well quit Warframe because of it. And I have over 1k hours.

Seems like you read nothing on melee 3.0 if you think stances are going away. And I don't see how long time use for melee is diminishing. The new system looks promising but it's impossible to make a final verdict based on what is shown now.

Ever since the announced changes to melee 3.0 we have received basicly no info on weapon or mod changes.

Why don't you wait for the actual dev workshop on the balance pass for melee weapons. What does the WIP system changes have to do with the melee balance pass? I don't see the point in giving numbers that are heavily subject to change.

I don't know what people expect in general, in the past 3 years all warframes that were released are just meh. MEH. Meh as ***.

    Atlas

    Wukong

    Ivara

    Nezha

    Inaros

    Titania

    Nidus

    Octavia

    Harrow

    Gara

    Khora

    Revenant.

I literally personally don't like neither their design nor abilities, I don't really care that 3 of them are immortal and one can solo any survival to infinity and beyond (because 99,9999% of people don't even go past 1 or 1,5 hours anyway) even if they're useful for some content. Only Nidus feels like a warframe, and is useless outside long survivals, the rest don't even look like it. Octavia was a final nail in the coffin. From that bunch I only have some hopes for Garuda and only cause Pablo apparently is in the charge of it.

    3

Hold up, Sees that he called these frames meh, but then again, he has some of the most powerful frames on here?  I'm super confused. It seems you have a problem that deals with your taste and try to pass it off as DE's fault for releasing the frames. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean that most of them are meh (cuz only two in that list is pretty average). And this goes to another point, how are you able to tell what is warframe and what is not? What general aesthetic do warframes follow? Each warframe is designed differently and I don't see how you can up and say that they don't feel like a warframes when they follow no set design rule except their own - which is varied as seen in the current warframes.

    3 hours ago, -Temp0- said:

They're all useless for most of the games content or redundant in most of the games content and most of them are visually repulsive. Inaros in his original form is just mister dog nipples. Nezha is just no comments. Titania and Octavia just don't belong in warfarme. Atlas lost his way to the mortal combat contest. And so on.

How are they useless for most content? When they're they're some of the top frames in the game that can do all content (with exceptions). And redundancy can be said for every frame, that literally cannot be a reason. They are no different than the frames that came before them. Most of this sounds like a you problem and not a problem with the warframes themselves.
