Dude you're not alone. Though I've loved this game since the very start of a friend recommending it, this whole duviri thing has turned me off from even wanting to play. I find myself logging in to run archon missions, fiddling around abit and then logging out.

I find it hard supporting something that's so quickly gone bad.

There was no weekly or 1.5 month endgame rewards rotations when I took my breaks in the last few years, I feel its much harder to take those long breaks without missing a lot of time locked progression these days since archons and incarnon. I think if you still have a sliver of interest in the game left, a 1.5 month break might be good for you and you could get back into the weekly rotation exactly where you ended it, if you ignore the missing timed rewards. But yeah, I feel your pain fellow teno.

I've been using my starter frame (later upgraded to prime) and have made sure not to play a single mission or register a single kill with any other frame.*

Basically ng+ combined with story mode for the entire game. Pretty nice role-playing.

started mid-December 2021 (right after the release of New War). Can you narrow down what content or events you feel started to chisel down your patience for Warframe? Thanks!

I didn't start that long ago either, just after fortuna was introduced, witch made me crazy about the game and the world, bought starter pack, plat, tenogen, etc. It really is a god damn great ride when you go through it first time. But last real world money thing I bought was the deimos suporter pack, and I think I really started to become more frustrated with the bugs and updates ok Zariman when you would lose progress and couldn't extract if you went past a certain number of exolisers (happened week one, checked on it week 2 again still not fixed and so on) and the fact that updates would break more things (invulnerable and invisible thrax that were nonexistent or much less frequent at launch eg.), implementing transferance changes that added a big delay to the fluid motion it had before for evee just to fix the rare instances of occasional client transferance desync, and things of that sort. Frustration of seeing updates that would break working things, bugs that break core mechanics of the game (unable to extract in the Zariman exoliser mission, unable to extract after host migration in circuit, losing progress), personally, I think these drained my patience the most, and the small SP mission nodes lock, that was marked as closed and "fixed" was the final straw for me. It's the small things that get you in the end I guess.

Thanks for the interest and hope you enjoy the rest of your playthrough at least as much as I enjoyed mine. Cheers.

Your statement about "fake bureaucracy" makes little sense too, as it refers to nothing you mention previously in the post. Unless we're meant to randomly guess what you meant, to which I say no.

By bureaucracy I meant both the literal sense and metaphorical one, for the literal sense I was exasperated with the decision to handle that issue like that, I doubt that anyone who made that decision was in the pool of people who had to redo the nodes outside of testing (bureau-office desk, cracy- making decisions), and for the metaphorical sense of making people that have no say in the matter do redundant and meaningless tasks (having to file a lot of mostly meaningless paperwork, or having to calculate your own taxes even though the agency handling this knows what you should be paying for eg.), instead of running a script to mark the nodes as completed to activate SP for everyone that actually completed the nodes either in SP or normal, the nodes were kept locked like doing them on normal specifically had some sort of intrinsic extra value (making people file extra archaic paperwork in a digital age like that arhaic paperwork had some sort of intrinsic extra value). At least this is a more detailed explanation of what I meant by that being a bureaucratic decision.

WF was my main MMO like game the past years, so yeah, you may be right about this, I might have become complacent and arogant. I don't think I will start another MMO though, I think I'll take everyone's advice and take an even more extended break.

When you can circuit in one run, you're leaving a lot behind just because you have to redo some nodes.  DE will always be ironing out new content and fixing things (or not fixing things), but there will always be things to fix.  Having to redo a few nodes is not as bad as getting stuck on the tile with life support going down, and failing the mission a few rounds before completing it in one run because you didn't type "unstuck" soon enough..

Yea, I had some of those too in my runs and many more similar weird bugs. Those are simply frustrating, having to lose a lot of progress because of them, they feel like unfair losses, and even if small in the long run (like everyone likes to mention for some reason) they tend to add up if they happen often enough. But issues that cause systems that seemed to work before to not work anymore, like the only two issues I mentioned where the update actively makes something that worked fine to work less fine (the enhanced video addition that brought lag) and the update where SP got locked when it was playable before with the fix being to replay all the normal modes again, seeing previously working stuff stop working is what finally got to me.

    bullcrap tolerance is lower.

if you were actually farming that stuff you would've played it all already. whats one 100% walk in the park story run for some clamps and one bad duviri build reroll through a solo low end circuit to get steel path back?

    mine stayed unlocked anyways.

come back when your PC has been upgraded I guess or try to change some settings around if the enhanced graphics are getting you down.

People always say, you don't give up Warframe, you just take an extended break. so... yeah, take a break. try again another time.

The settings thing is a good example of this, it was a few months ago, i think with when they added the enhanced thing, it was a simple update that simply lowered the smoothness the game previously had, same hardware, same settings only difference was that the game was "updated", but like i said, I got over that too and continued.

Yes, i know it would be a walk in the park, but I just don't feel ok with doing these kinds of things anymore, forced to do extra lower level content, the things i used to do being suddenly locked behind trivial content you already did because untested hotfixes, etc. thats why I think the phrase "the *straw* that broke the camel's back" fits here, its not much, its actually trivial compared to the things you do all the time eg.

I've seen a bunch of bugs and game breaking things in my years with this game, but lately things have gotten worse and it feels like there is even less interest in shipping without bugs. Even after the update to the video settings adding a S#&$ ton of lag to everything that sent the fps back to the stone-ages, I though, its fine, my builds are strong enough that even with a little lag the game is chill and I can still leisurely do the content, I don't need that smooth experience I previously had anyway, its fine. Even after the state Duviri was released in I kept lying to myself and said, its fine, they will eventually fix it, we have to just try again next week, (next week was a disappointment, and so was the next one and so on).

But now, I think this is it, this is the final straw, a hotfix, dropped at the end of the week, locking away once/month rewards behind some fake bureaucracy, locking away content that was previously accessible for weeks because of some formalities? "you may need to replay and complete The Circuit (complete at least one stage) and Lone Story (complete all stages, including defeating the Orowyrm) on their normal difficulty" seriously, with a rotating 1.5 month reward, because of an untested bad hotfix push, at the end of the week?

The Seven Crimes of Kullervo: Hotfix 33.5.6

Small hotfix to address the following priority issues.

    Fixes

    • Fixed being unable to trade Arcanes due to them appearing as Mods in the trading UI.

    • Fixed The Duviri Experience node not registering as complete after finishing The Duviri Paradox Quest, which was preventing the other Duviri nodes (Circuit and Lone Story) from being marked correctly. This led to the Steel Path not unlocking or completing for most players (since the intended flow of needing the normal nodes completed first was not being fulfilled).

      • Since the other nodes were not registering as complete due to the above issue, mission completion before hotfix 33.5.6 has never been tracked correctly.  In order to unlock Duviri on The Steel Path now, you may need to replay and complete The Circuit (complete at least one stage) and Lone Story (complete all stages, including defeating the Orowyrm) on their normal difficulty.  A UI pop-up will occur to generally indicate if any of the normal nodes needs to be completed before The Steel Path can be unlocked for Duviri. An additional change that specifies exactly which node will be coming in the next update.

So yeah, I've had a lot of good times these past years, but either you got worse or my bullS#&$ tolerance has gotten lower since back then, but the results are the same, this was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

Thank you, and goodbye forever Warframe o7.

Warframes and Weapons now default to Mod Config A if it uses 40+ capacity (raw drain of Mods installed), rather than defaulting to another Config with the highest capacity. If Config A is not using 40+ capacity, it will default to the highest capacity Mod Config as before.

I don't get it, does this or does this not fix the issue of getting your unranked and unmoded for trade spare copy of weapons instead of the rankedup and moded for use one from your arsenal? Cause I personally have little to no issue scrolling through loadouts to pick the right one, but when all loadout options are removed and, on top of that, there's a risk of completely bricking my "for trade copies" of weapons then there's (still) the main problem.

The Undercroft (Landscape and The Circuit) Defense Changes:

The following changes have been made to address player feedback on the difficulty of Defense stages in the Undercroft. They are geared to alleviate the conditions that were causing the Defense Target to get destroyed extremely fast (notably in The Steel Path).

    • The Defense Target’s level now scales between stages.

      • The Defense Target’s scaling occurs alongside enemy level scaling between stages up to level 50. After level 50, the scaling rate decreases overtime to maintain a level of challenge in The Circuit.

    • Increased the Defense Target’s starting level in The Steel Path from 76 to 101.

    • Increased the rate at which the Defense Target’s Shields recharge.

    • Reduced the damage that the Defense Target can take from Thrax units.

    • Defense rounds will now only start when someone enters the Defense Target’s radius.

      • This addresses enemies rushing to the Defense Target before players have even found it and positioned themselves to defend it.

😮 I'm gonna have to test this if it really is what I think it is and not some empty changes but it sounds really promising. 👏👏👏

  10. Think adding 5-10 more seconds to Opening Slam would make it a little more comfy to use.

But if i was to try to increase naramon general apeal I would:

    - remove Affinity Spike and replace it with Amp Spike

    - in the place where Amp Spike was I would add a pull/gather effect on slam location, similar to Magus Anomaly or Telos Boltace slide or even something that can ragdoll like vazarin's Void Snare.

    1. it would synergize with what a melee focused school want's to do, get more enemies in melee range (weird that defensive vazarin has this but not the melee naramon),

    2. it would be thematic of slams pulling enemies in, (eg.: Overwatch Reinhardt has a slam attack knocks down all enemies within range and pulls them towards him, God of War Kratos has a slam attack that creates a shockwave that pulls enemies towards him, Borderlands 2 Brick has a slam attack pulls enemies towards him, Diablo III Barbarian has a slam attack pulling enemies towards them), so yeah, weird that dedicated melee slam attack school doesn't considering warframe already has many examples of vortex and pull effects in other places.

    3. it would also incentivize the use of operator slams even after getting the combo to max, ability currently not seeing any real use after combo cap is reached.

    4. naramon already has a good warframe gun buff too with Lethal Levitation (getting a Serration/Primed Point Blank/Hornet Strike from operator is unprecedented, if fixed to work for clients too, it's a pretty strong ability), so adding more general usability too would also increase player usage of naramon from the rest of the playerbase that doesn't like to go full melee focus witch is currently the only place naramon is even considered.

Naramon has some interesting abilities besides the reason 99% of players use it for (Melee Combo Counter now decay), imo if those other things that it gives were a little better tied together it would see much more use.

It's weird that even lore-wise Vazarin and Unairu are suposed to be defensive schools, attack nulification and endurance respectively, while Zenurik, Madurai are suposed to be offensive ones, battlefield domination, reckless attacks. Leaving Naramon as the tactical school yet providing bonuses only to melee.

vazarin does it's job and heals allies and gives invuln, unariu makes you virtually unkillable making the operator be able to defence strip, kill and selfrevive, zenuric does it's job letting players just spam the battlefield with abilities, madurai just bursts damage, but i feel naramon has little to do with any tactics... no damage resistances (expected something like adaptation, you know, you get hit, you learn, you adapt), no bonuses to damage matching enemies vulnerabilities or faction damage bonuses (you know, not using a general build but specific elemental types and bane mods), no enemy grouping abilities (expected something here, no damage, no defence, just battlefield control), etc. Only tactical things about naramon I find is the short stun from the first ability and somewhat the combo decay buff only usable by melee (I would also have expected something for sniper here too not only melee).

The Steel Path Honors store now has a limit of 25 per week for each of the 10,000 Kuva and the Relic Pack offerings.

    • We have made this change to Teshins store as it is an unlimited source of Kuva and Void Relics in-game. We took a careful look at Steel Path and decided this would be the best method to ensure a small handful of players couldn’t buy absurdly large quantities of these resources at once, without making changes that would affect all Players on the Steel Path.

Lol, RIP me for not buying all the kuva before this stealth nerf drop that I didn't hear anyone mention. I get you guys doing this to curb some of the more active SP farmers, and I would have been fine with it (even if the value is pretty low: 375 max steel essence usage while you usually get 315 just from doing normal daily incursions with an acolyte kill so any farm above 50 SE (minus 200 SE every 8 weeks for the umbra froma and extra kuva) would be simply just wasted), but doing like this without giving people the chance to use their (up till now) uncapped resources is a bad faith move.

If you believe you are doing the right thing, you shouldn't have to hide your actions till the last second. Even though you guys did the same thing with the Emergence Dissipate sudden nerfhammer, this isn't the same thing, you won't crash the market, people who haven't heard about it won't get scammed into buying a suddenly useless arcane if you just let people use their currency before implementing this cap...

I wasn't doing any SE farms, haven't done those in a long while, but I have a few thousands of SE just gathering from incursions waiting for something better to spend it on/a good riven to start rolling, with this change I'll probably just reduce my time of doing the daily incursions even more until I burn through the majority of my SE, no point in gathering even more if I won't be able to even use it. So even the 40-45 minutes I used to play daily for sorties and incursions will get reduced now. Not the first time you made a change to reduce the player's desires to play the game, my guess is that you guys really hate people playing your game, don't you?

    Edit:

Damn, after reading this changelog this left such a bad taste in my mouth that I don't even feel like trying the new update, why do you guys have to do these impactful unnuanced moves like some kind 2 cent rug pull scammers hiding your moves until it's too late for the people to do anything about it, what's even the point of doing it like this in the first place, im still going to use my SE to buy the kuva, all you did by not announcing it was make people play a lot less of your game while also losing any hype for a new update. 🤦‍♂️

Even DE showed us they forgot how ESO works when they thought that ember could compete there despite her DPS ability being her 4. I am however confused how you see someone being angry in ESO as proof they bought their account. As pointed out: MR has nothing to do with skill or knowledge, neither are required to get to MR 28.

A kitchen knife has nothing to do with robbing someone, everyone knows stores sell them for cooking, people use them for cooking, etc. but if you see someone with one in their hand coming at you on the street, I don't think your mind goes to "I think he's going home to cook something". MR28 doesn't mean the player has knowledge of all aspects of the game but if I see someone MR3-5 I will personally assume they are somewhat new to the game and expect their knowledge of certain mechanics to be limited, this in contrast to if I see someone that has leveled up almost everything in the the game to the max I personally assume they know about the basic mechanics and other limitations of most popular missions.

It's not black and white, even if something isn't true 99.5% of the time it doesn't mean just ignore all instances where it occurs.

Also, in case you didn't notice,

-the thing about people selling account in the title of the thread is just a question meant to compare opinions with others regarding a trend I've personally noticed,

    Quote

(not the first time I've seen something similar happen last few months but first time I actually decided to take some screens and question if something weird is going on for such cases)

here it is again in case you couldn't read everything

-I don't really know you or your standards for the people around you, but for me personally calling random teammates *trash*, and *#*!% off and die*, to a stranger in pm while unprovoked as an answer to that stranger trying to help you is a little bit more than just "someone being angry in ESO" 😐.

-so, to reiterate, someone sending messages that (i usually see) people get banned for+ a (personally observed) spike in similar events+ very highMR not seeming to know basic mechanics of popular missions+ the fact that selling highMR accounts is not somthing new  *is not proof*, it was never meant to be. But if more people observed this happening lately then it becomes a good indicator and I like to figure out if my observations are true and why.

And all this simply out of curiosity.

PS. again, out of curiosity, I searched for that player's name here and coincidentally their last message posted a few days prior said that after DE removed the last thing they considered fun in the game it was time that they should move on from the game.

so, certainly not proof they soldout or decided they just didn't care anymore, just hints😉

  18. I'm sometimes baffled by the things I see in the game and end up wondering if people started quitting the game and sell their accounts somewhere eg. bellow. I can't really think about any other explanation why things like this have been happening lately. (not the first time I've seen something similar happen last few months but first time I actually decided to take some screens and question if something weird is going on for such cases)

Join eso, trin starts flaming me/teammates (don't really know who because they didn't point someone out). I think, ok, its fine, they're probably new and don't understand (not that it would make it ok even then but np), ill finish this zone and explain in the next but they decide to leave in zone 1. https://imgur.com/fVwie1t

Thinking that I should at least let them know what's going in and maybe prevent someone else getting flamed for no reason in their next matches I decide to at least send a pm. https://imgur.com/AA8mDDL

A little curious now, I decide to at least look at the profile to see how new was this player, considering they decided to send messages like it's just a new account and ban/chatbans mean nothing while also not knowing about the eso cooldown. https://imgur.com/j5oRV2J

So, is it just me noticing this lately or is there really something going on here?

  19. This is a very old bug, can't even remember the first time I saw it

One in 30-50 times I have entered the navigation screen my UI controls were locked: couldn't pick a mission (neither from planet icons nor from top right bar with dropdowns), couldn't zoom out, ESC key didn't work. Things that were working lich status, change loadout, deploy extractor, view profile and finally the nightwave tab (the nightwave tab is relevant here because it was the only workaround I could find and was using to close navigation without having to forcedclose the game from windows, after entering the nightwave tab, the lockout was removed and I could again close navigation).

I'm mentioning this issue now because since I had found the workaround it wasn't that big of an inconvenience so I usually forgot about it, but then it happened again after nightwave tab was removed and finally remembered to actually post about it here.

Regarding the reproduction of the bug, I haven't had much success. After it happened this last time I had a feeling it was related to going to navigation from the ESC menu while having the chat window opened and closing it while navigation is still loading, so I tried doing it a bunch of times and on the second try the bug happened again, but no matter how many more times I tried again I couldn't reproduce it or get more hints as to why it was happening.

I don't have any video or pictures of the bug considering it consists only of the lack/absence of access, so besides me filming my mouse irl clicking the icons to no avail just to prove it happened I don't really have any media to attach here.

PS. On something of a sidenote, another workaround I found (now that I had to search around for these) is that market is also working when this navigation bug happens, I accessed market from navigation by having a cupon active at this time and clicking the cupon buff that is listed alongside the affinity/resource/credit boosters in the top right bar.

  20. Today maybe 1/3 1/4 games I had to alt+f4 out of warframe because UI locks up either in elevator waiting for end of mission screen, in fortuna after accepting squad mission vote and a few other examples that ill try to record and post here as i get them (decided to start recording after ~10-15 games where 4-5 were lockups requiring alt+f4).

In the instance bellow my game/ui locked up after accepting a mission vote inside the elevator before mission results appeared. (I left in the rest of the mission just in case that wasn't the cause/related to the cause of the lockup.)

    yt video link

    Edit 1:

In the video bellow the UI locks up after initiating the mission vote, esc key wasn't working, mission vote wasn't progressing, chat key was working, only way to get out of that screen was to leave squad which ended the UI lockup.

    example 2

  21. Joined a flotilla a few mins before the waves started> joined a game> had to leave> abort mission> leave flotilla> come back after a few mins (10 mins later)>

Flotillas don't show X/100 status anymore, just busy, calm, etc.

Joined the first one on the list (calm), flotilla empty, 0/100, leave flotilla

Joined the first busy one, flotilla empty, 0/100, leave flotilla, try 5 others, all empty 0/100
