    Exactly!

I can't recall where they said they are gonna make the "goddamn gardening system with the planters outside the Dormizone" but if they're gonna do that, they may as well go all the way and allow us to use it as a base of operations. otherwise, this fancy little plantlife simulator is gonna be DOA, I really can't remember who asked for this.

Overall, There is simply no excuse.

I only hope they don't lock nice things behind this. It should be a plus to those that want to actually plant, not a problem for those that don't want. I can think on a million things that imo should take priority over a garden, but that is the beauty of warframe, they do stuff that make no sense and in become fun in the end. Last night i spent HOURS playing Happy Zephyr! LOL I wanted to play Frame fighter but never could. when i tried to play with a friend it didn't work. They also put resources in Lunaro, that no one asked for, but it could have been a success. At same time they retired old Dark Sector PvP that was a LOT of fun and most people liked playing to "fix" and never put it back. That's the fun of DE, they are pretty random to be honest. :D

Well of course he's fine with operator. That's literally an infinitely spammable rolling guard.

Shield gate was literally put in with Hildryn, so definitely intended, especially considering that Hildryn and Protea are two of the strongest shield gate offenders because of their intentionally designed abilities.

Second, operator is literally just as broken as shield gate (Vazarin and Unairu) as it is a lot easier to become immortal with operator than it is with shield gate when you can literally cast infinite rolling guards.

Third, shield gate does require skill, as despite what people would make you think, you can easily die to enemies utilizing toxin, staggers, and knockdowns. Not only this, but thanks to overguard, you actually have to watch out for enemies who can stagger you because they are now immune to 99% of cc. Therefore, most high end players using shield gate run primed sure footed to avoid staggers. Shield gate on it's own can literally still get destroyed by enemies, and only looks brain dead if you run psf.

However I do perfectly understand why you might hate shield gate (especially if you see use of a certain key as abuse), but considering two of the most used frames (Wisp and Protea) literally have it built into them to shield gate easily without the key, it's more likely DE is trying to avoid more power creep where everyone has to be invisible frames, tank frames, or energy generating frames because shield gate becomes more expensive for all of the banshee's and mirages.

Thank you for the post, i don't deny any of your points, i know you are factually correct. But the fact that DE used BAD game design is evident, and DE made bane mods, the most stupid game design mods anyone could ever think of, Bane mods is the kind of stuff that any game designer amateur or professional would think of, but almost none would actually put it in a game, as the whole concept is totally stupid. instead a good designer would make certain factions more susceptible to certain kinds of damage, what is better design, and on top of that DE put bane mods, the shame of mods.

Same thing with other kinds of content, For some reason i find normal level 90 void cascade way harder than steel path void cascade.

My point is: The game is made in a way that level 100 enemies are supposed to be hard enemies. But for some reason many people think they are entitled to beat level 9999 enemies with their level 30 frames, and after doing that they complain that the game offers no challenge. Knightmareframe is funny with that, the guy abuses every single broken mechanic in the game and keep complaining about the lack of challenge, if you suggest that shield game broke the game in a deep way he gets defensive over it. No one is "supposed" to endure hits from level 9999 enemies! And the worst part is that catering to that small part of the public DE broke the game to everyone! Any kind of defensive support is useless now, any kind of heal is useless now, any mod slot used to enhance survivability is a waste that should have been used in a Augur mod. There is no more thinking about builds. And that only so a half hand of people can survive direct hits of level 9999 enemies. Some people says that shieldgating made more "variety" it did NOT. It removed the variety of the game and broke it deeply. Hyldrin and Protea had it? Nice, it was SPECIAL for then, i have ZERO problems with it being a passive of a handfull of frames, but should never have been a universal mechanic.

PS: DE still remembers Duviri Paradox was supposed to be released? Or maibe it's "eternalism" and we had bad luck and got stuck in the side were it wasn't released yet?

As I said, you basically need pillage/parasitic armor to shield gate consistently with him.

Shieldgating is for people that don't have skill to play properly, abuse a broken mechanic that ruined the game and then come here to complain that the game lacks challenge, and if DE ever nerfed shield gating to at least a fixed duration of 0.33 seconds will cry for years.

The very same people that complain about powercreep and the game being too easy don't even can play without abusing a broken mechanic that DE put in the game and now doesn't have the courage to fix.

Maybe you were running more strength than me, maybe you simply were using weapons with a higher kill rate.

All I know is that in against an acolyte or something I can see a potential problem where your shields get cracked and there aren't enough normal enemies to proc another shield gate.

That's cause 97% of the playerbase doesn't use operator well. (number totally guessed) i am doing SP survival with styanax for long periods of time. That being said he is in the group of frames that need heavy operator support to work well in late game. But he is a very good frame. Pretty basic and powerfull, really fits my playstyle. That being said, i am a Excalibur Main since 2013 and in the end of the day i go, play a bit of styanax but always end up using excal again. Same with Voruna. I simply like my main a lot and even liking a LOT of both Voruna and Styanax (for 2 opposite reasons) i don't really see me retiring my old Umbra (that replaced my Excal Prime usage) to play Voruna or Styanax.

You mean the first years of conclave? Did you learn nothing... If anything I want the Warframe powers & stats to be used only on PvE.

I made a topic about it a while ago. Put a 90 or 95% damage resistance on the frames vs other players and several AI enemies and it can get a lot of fun.

    Thanks for sharing Ervin.

Im glad your mum slipped away peacefully.  Thats all any of us can ask for really.

My mum lost her mum and dad and sister to cancer.  Now her partner is having Chemo.  It touches all of us in someway.  I am terrified of the thought of a phone call from Mum saying she has cancer.  Its almost inevitable.

My dad im sure has it but is not telling anyone.  Old school bushy.

The one thing that scares me the most is having cancer and having to tell my wife and son.  It is something i hop i never have to do.

Im glad i read your post mate, although i feel sad i also feel like im not alone.  It helps to talk and listen.

    All the best

So sad, me too, I lost my loved one 3 months ago. She had a rare sarcoma and passed away, with her died a big part of myself. 😟

For me it is as meaningless as someone offering to pray for you. It changes nothing in reality and is nothing but an empty gesture.

If DE had gone the Blizzard way instead and offered something we could buy at a decent price where the money would go towards the cause I'd think of it differently. It would have actually made a difference. Blizzard had it for their "make a wish" foundation and I actually picked up some pets for a good cause there. This would be similar to how people buy the pink ribbon each year to suppprt breast cancer research.

Wearing some artifical ribbon you got for free wont change a damn thing for those effected by whatever the ribbon is there to support.

I would like this post if the beginning wasn't stupid. Offer to pray for someone is pretty good and there are some researches (sadly not near enough) indicating that praying does a LOT of difference, even on blind tests. Next time do some research before posting your uninformed oppinion in the internet's.

  8. to me bullet jumping removed most of the fun in the game... I don't play warframe to do fast missions, i play warframe to kill a lot of stuff, cause its FUN. Since Bullet jump was introduced in the game all missions outside of the infinite ones become just and only speed runs. The enemies are total triviality to just be ignored. I miss having a party that actually clear the path... 😞

There's no means to an end for player progression. We work for all this power; weapons, frames, mods, arcanes, focus, sentinels, companions, forma, catalysts, reactors, exilus adapters, amps, rivens. None of this is needed, you can do all the content in the game with an unformad frame/weapon. It didn't use to be this way, the void gave us purpose to upgrading EVERYTHING and nothing has taken it's place.

    What's the point anymore?

    Why would I upgrade anything?

If new weapons or frames come out I'm just going to level them to thirty and let them sit there.

I'm incredibly bored of leaving on C rotations, I want a reason to stay in a mission so I can make use of these systems. I want a reason to have fun. The developers don't feel the same way however. They're so engrossed with making content "20 minute, bite sized" that that's all there is now. It's the only option, even new "endgame" game modes are cascaded into mundanity when there's no reason to do so. The horizon doesn't give any hope either, it doesn't even seem to be on the devs radar.

Kuva Survival could easily have reasonable rewards that increment up to a cap, that would incentivise players to stay in the mission for a tiny benefit. e.g. Have the Kuva rewarded jump up to 250 after 20 minutes, that's it. It would still give less than Floods, while giving players a reason to power up using the multitude of systems that are in the game.

I love this game. I LOVE IT, I wouldn't have played it for 2000 hours if I didn't. Can it love me back for a minute? The apathy is crippling.

Casual players won't start vanishing. They won't be forced to stick a feeding tube down their throat, so they can stay in a Survival for 8 hours. They'll still have free will.

I know the pieces fit, cause I watched them fall away.

agree with everything, but personally i think a proper reason to get powerfull would be end game pvp. :)

Excal Prime already got his buff LOL he isn't going to be better than Umbra at this point.

As another founder I didn't want him to be BETTER than Umbra, as just wish Excalibur Prime could have SOMETHING going for it, to have a reason to actually use Excalibur Prime for SOMETHING and not to "brag" about it.

At first I was satisfied when Umbra howl was slower to trigger, so I was going for a finishing build in the Prime and a exalted blade build for the Umbra, but the only real advantage the prime had for patched out of Umbra, so now I just use Umbra all the time.

  11.    I do agree that my idea would be way more manageable in eastern countries like Japan, south Korea and China, where the "equality" crap didn't took home. But even so, like i said 23235 times before, someone with MR 7 does have pretty much the same conditions to have a powerful frame as someone with MR 25.

MR 25 would probably making for better min max builds, but min/max builds would not be really effective in pvp imo. (having 15% more power strenght while the opponent have 400% more shield?????)

The very idea of Player vs. Player requires some sort of fairness at baseline. None of what we can do in PvE can be considered fair and would just lead to both a hardline meta of what's good and people complaining about how the meta method or whatever else is unfair (which would lead it to be nerfed to the ground, such as the double pump meta of Fortnite as an example, but then something else gets to be the meta and thus gets nerfed, and would cycle around and around.) I'm not against good PvP, but your suggestion is NOT good PvP. Allowing us the weapons and full modding and abiltity potential we have and can do will lead to complete and unfair cheese, No one want someone to be able to snipe them across the map with a Lanka or have flat out effective invincibility like Wukong, and I can just imagine how Link and parasitic Link could be abused, or the ridiculousness of Nova and Molecular Prime, or the ever deadly Peacemakers, or an army of Shadows, etc.

All this you just mentioned just makes think "FUN"!!!

Even PvE requires some kind of balancement anyway, thats already whats warframe is missing... There is no point making missions with level 999+ enemies if you have frames that can just cause "confusion" and make all those enemies useless, or going to ONSLAUGHT missions while the saryn simply kill them all before anyone else have a chance to do anything... Still, this is a problem of warframe and part of its fun.

And about immortal Wukong... Who cares? Like i mentioned the objective would NOT be killing the opponent frames. :)

  13. Oh, the ONLY real change i would make for pvp would be increasing down time over the board for every single skill, not really fair spamming Radial blind non stop. Give a increment of 10 seconds over the board for every single Warframe ability and call it a day (10 seconds to each ability instead of % based cause severall abilities literally have 0 cooldown).

well, got a umbral Valkyr, ill just slow you first for 75% and then i'll just ult

and that is the fun of it!!!

Everything over the top!!! All frames are over the top!!! And thats beautiful!!!

Well, the 90%ish reduction should aply for procs too for obvious reasons, otherwise everyone would just go for status builds! 25% armar reduction? humn... no, 2,5% is the new number.

But i agree that we need damage 3.0 (or is 2.0? or 2.5??? i am  already lost!)  before it, and  MAYBE melee 3.0 too.

But over the top stuff would be the super cool part of it. Oh, you walkyr is imune to damage? (what is not really true as the energy consumption rises as the most damage she absorbs) take this radial blind to the face and a finisher from Excalibur. And now? Still feeling imortal? 😄

Pretty much all the frames have super over the top stuff, thats one of the design paths for balance, to make everything so over the top that the meta balances itself...

How long a "indestructible" Walkyr could endure vs a Saryn that procs every second?

THIS is warframe! And that is what make warframe so much fun for so many of us!

Vut to be honest i think they already have something like that planned... Maybe unlocking with the "new war"?  The name is fitting, and DE  working on new damage format too.

To hell with PvP, especially in a peer-to-peer environment! I'm happy DE let go of this crap and didn't turn Warframe in a Destiny clone focusing on lousy PvP while neglecting the core group of PvE players. Just look at how messed up things are in Destiny and Division where clueless decision-makers listened to their equally clueless marketing departments.

When I feel the urge to play PvP, then in games that are dedicated to PvP and with dedicated servers. Nobody needs a half-baked PvP solution, especially when the wide majority of players hasn't any interest in it...

DE tried to please us and wasted enough time and money into the PvP farce. Warframe has become a very complex system over the years: Forma, Primed Mods, Pets, Operator, Focus Skills, Arcane Mods, Riven Mods with a myriad of possible loadouts. Trying to balance that for PvE and PvP is only possible by separating both from another (different stats and abilities in PvE and PvP), a thing the former mentioned titles by Bungie and Ubisoft failed to do so gloriously.

But even if you separate both, it's still a nightmare of a job to balance PvP unless you restrict things heavily. Considering the generally low interest in Warframe PvP, it would be irresponsible to waste further resources into it.

if you read the actual first post you would know that the proposal of this tread was to stop this "division" between pvp and pve and simply let warframe be warframe. Also this tread isn't about what you does with your excess of soy, i am not your oppinion about pvp, the subject of this topic is another.
