    Standard hits, I see the Braton as better than the Soma, but the Critical Hits will increase the dps quite a bit, I didn't look at that. I will go back to the calculation-board as it were, and figure this out!

    *EDIT* Soma is better once fully modded for crits, you're right! I failed to calculate the criticals in at all, and was just looking at dps of normal shots.

    I've done some looking at the rifles, and I can't figure out why the Braton isn't the best non-prime assault rifle in the game.  It has the highest DPS of any other assault rifle if shot in short bursts (since the Gorgon has that wind-up speed, and terrible accuracy), decent magazine capacity, good accuracy (rarely do I find a time I would need to shoot at distant targets) and average reload speed (can be modded to a respectable time).

     

    Something tells me I'm wrong in my initial assessment of the weapon (I'm just starting out) but I can't find a weapon that I will be switching to any time soon, and the only one that I will eventually switch to is the Braton Prime.

     

     

    Where did I go wrong?  What am I missing?  What weapon at higher levels will I really need to use instead?

    I guess I just haven't played enough of the game to pick up on that.  Thus far it just seems like a "get best equipment and be awesome" game, without much of a story.  But I'll keep playing and see what I find!

    I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

     

     

    Now that that's out of the way, is there any thought being put into bringing a campaign or story mode to Warframe?  I would like it to be both solo and co-op gameplay (same missions for both, just like now).  Now don't get me wrong, I don't want a CoD style campaign.  I like the fast-paced maps that we have, I would just like to know more about them and why my Loki is fighting.  Who/How/Why were we awoken from Cryo? Why are we fighting the Corpus, what are the Grineer trying to achieve with their conquests, where did the Infested come from, and where do we Tenno fit in?

     

     

    There's an awesome story here, and I want to experience it for myself!  Right now all we have are maps to run around in, and while that's awesome and it's fun, I would like to see more.

    Hey Guys,

     

    I'm CannaWhoopazz.  I've been playing Warframe for just over a week, running a Loki (loving it) and amazed at how awesome this free game is!  I've been trying to get some of my friends to play Warframe with me, but one is waiting for the PS4 (I'm getting one too, hoping accounts will transfer) and the other just isn't playing because he's a hermit and prefers to be lame!

     

    I've read a lot of strategies, read the Wiki, and watched a lot of Youtube vids and have come up with what I think is a viable End-Game build for my Warframe (although it seems unusual).  I'm probably 100% wrong and I'll be switching to a different build in a month or so, but until then ignorance is bliss!  Message me if your curious or if you want to tell me how wrong I am, I'm open to suggestions.

     

    I'm really enjoying this game because I don't see it as much of a grinding necessary game.  It's nothing compared to other games I've played.  I also like how you don't HAVE to buy plat to get end game equipment.  I did get a 25% off plat as a log-in bonus so I bought like $7.99 worth, but I don't know if I'll be buying much more anytime soon.  The only thing I'll plan on using plat for is more Forma's since my End-Game modding strat requires them.
