So during the finale of TSD the Warframe that you're using suddenly grabs the War impaled in them and rips it apart. How did it do that?  Was this because of the Operator using Transference, if so I thought they can only use it when either touching the frame or in the Somatic Link?  Right before that, Hunhow described the frames as nothing more but metal puppets dangling on Tenno strings, was this mean to show irony that the frames are actually sentient?

Some people are telling you to play The Sacrifice. The Sacrifice doesn't answer your question, as you may say if the usual debate pops up on this thread.

It always puzzled me everyone spending so much time crafting their max invis builds on different frames when Wukong can just press 2 and fly undetected even through the damaging lasers. Invis abilities instead only let you go through detection lasers and enemies.

During sorties i see them sneaking about and i just "whoop-oop" (that's the sound the 2 makes) and boom i'm at the console.

Or Gauss, just speed run through it. Limbo can bypass lasers in rift mode, Loki can teleport passed lasers, and Ivara can walk right on through when equipped with a specific mod.

If the Warframes have a mind of their own that would explain each unique stances they all have, also that would rejustify the fact that Alad V literally made disgusting crimes, as the first time we saw him he captured and dissambled Warframes for his Zanuka project, and also how he filled up Mesa with infested flesh or something when he became Mutalist Alad V since now Warframes aren t just hollow objects

Are we any different with our Helminth system?

But now they are questions, such as:

    - Transference was created to contain Tenno powers, or like help them vent and redirect their volatile energies into something useful and more secure, normally their powers should be powering up the Warframes so they can function, but then how come Warframes can operate without Transference ? What s the deal here

    - are Umbras Tennos that deserted the orokin or are they the Warframes themselves that deserted the orokin ?

Goddamn DE, i don t even know what s gonna happen when The War Within lore drops

The answer is: it's unknown. Players can't agree to whether frames have sentience or not, and neither can DE.

Being a space ninja would require actually good stealth mechanics. We're just super soldiers, and that's okay. We should embrace that. I think if we can acknowledge that the game has evolved past space ninjas into super soldiers, we can allow for greater specialization. Having defined roles would help clear things up, and streamline gameplay. I think that empowering tanks to tank, DPS to DPS, and support to support would encourage team building and squad cooperation more than having everyone try to be completely self sufficient. I think FFXIV did a fantastic job of differentiating roles. If warframe could manage someting similar, I think they could introduce harder content with more complex enemies and mechanics.

Except FF14 is built around ensuring each multi-player group has at least two players who fulfill the DPS role, at least one player who plays as the tank and at least 1 healer, and that's just for 4 player groups. In Warframe, DE has made it so that players can bring any frame to a mission and multiple frames can fulfill multiple roles. Not to mention we have gear items that can support players with heals, shielding and ammo replenishment. Basically, FF14 was built to be played in the manner that it is. Warframe was made to be played the way that it is - the antithesis of FF14.

In your opinion, what are the best looking Warframes (without skins)?

Despite looking lime a pimp, I actually really like Limbo's design purely because of how unique he is compared to other Warframes, I mean, he has a 'built in' top hat~

Can you clarify what you mean by "without skins"? Do you mean without the deluxe and tennogen skins? Can we bring up a prime skin or are you restricting it to just the regular non-prime skins?

Couple that with the fact that, for some reason, they've dropped off on the story front and focus more on single, large updates rather than small, regular ones like they used to, and the game is less engaging. I remember when we'd have an event every season, with possibly two or three major updates a year adding a new mode or mechanic. Now, much less so. Small bits of what's going on in the system, less lore upfront, and big gaps between meaningful content.

    5. The lack of story , content and lore

DE isn't a small studio anymore ; Warframe's been around since 2013 , millions of people play it and yet it still lacks a well written , solid story ; it lacks in story quests number ( Vor's Prize > Once Awake > Natah > The Second Dream > The War Within > The Sacrifice > Apostasy Prologue ) and it lacks in lore ( a lot of what we know , which is not much , also happens to be hidden within old events which haven't been released again since their first appearance ) .
While Leverian and other minor events have contributed to improve this situation the issue still persists as of now.

    😔

The last time we got actual story

Now we have the Leverian where stories specific to frames are told to us, rather than shown to us through gameplay in the form of actual content.

These stories were the reason I fell in love with Warframe and DE has strayed far away from that.

The New War is poorly handled. The excitement that came from the end of The Sacrifice has now been replaced with grind after grind after grind.

True! Although I think the game really is very fun. It's just that all fun has a timeline, and repeating a fun activity a thousand times will make anybody stop enjoying it.

It's a bit of a double-edged sword: Massive grind keeps players around, but doesn't make them happy. But not having grind means you lose the players to other games due to content downtime. I think for DE it must be a balancing act of figuring out exactly how much grind to keep players but not insult them.

(Or, you know, just work on PvP so players can keep themselves happy with endless content that's always new and fresh...) 😉

DE reads your post, gets to developing 10 more syndicates. 😛

The problem is, DE is allergic to consistency and sense. Of course, it's true for most game stories, especially MMOs.

It's so much easier to just leave everything open, so you can continue anything into anything. Soon we will get time travel and multiverse so DE can abandon even the last vestige of logic, as is the usual for "writers".

    Where we save Margulis.

DE's art and music departments don't get enough appreciation. They consistently put out spectacular work, and Deadlock is no exception. The new Corpus ships are brimming with detail, and the new soundtrack is just a banger.

The rest of DE is... another matter.

They're the best departments in the company in terms of what they create. Every update, the art and sound is top notch.

Anyone else stop playing Warframe for a while. I am at a pause now for about 2 months, playing currently mostly Fortnite again, but my intention to start again slowly come back.

This is my 4th Warframe play pause since early 2014 and reason were boredom, interests to another game and bad computer once, while the last reason got eliminated by acquisition of a new PC since January 2020.

So. Did you also stopped play Warframe for while? When and why?

I dipped my toe into FF14 for about a month, been going through FF7R, got into Destiny 2 and am enjoying it quite a lot, and only play Warframe for the daily's and Nightwave stuff lately.

I have a Lich I can work my way up to killing but I'm not interested. Also, Railjack is not interesting enough for me either.

I miss the frame specific story missions I enjoyed when I first started playing Warframe.

Also, when weapons and frames get nerfed, I lose interest in leveling stuff over and over again.

Something that has always caught my attention is what Teshin says when you go to talk to him being Rank 0 in The Conclave:

When he says "You went into stasis, but not me" makes me wonder: "How old is Teshin?" or "For how long were the Tenno in stasis?" or even "How did Teshin survived the Collapse?".

    Another quote could be:

That quote plus "Now I return, only to find the Tenno still herded like livestock" makes it clear that Teshin doesn't trust Lotus, especially when, during the quest Natah, he says "*Unlike your Lotus, I will not keep secrets from you". Not just Lotus, but Margulis too, during The War Within:

After that, you start a "tutorial" of how to use the Transference and test everything you learned in the Queen Grineer fight (except for controlling the Golden Maw). After that quest, we don't see Teshin again except for a mention of Little Duck during the Scarlet Spear. Something that I have noticed among the new players, is that nobody knows Teshin until they do the quest "Natah".

What strikes me most is that we don't have more interactions with Teshin after the Apostasy Prologue and The Sacrifice. I wouldn't have given much importance to that, until I realized the dates when the quests were released and the Nintendo Switch Release Date trailer:

    • Apostasy Prologue: December 21st, 2017 (Update 22.8: The Ghoul Purge).
    • The Sacrifice: June 15th, 2018 (Update 23: The Sacrifice)
    • Nintendo Switch Release Date trailer: September 13th, 2018 (Narrated by Sean Phillips, Teshin's Voice Actor)

And now DE announced the Joke-A-Thon contest, disclosing that Mike Leatham (Ordis voice actor) is still working with them (I would like to say the same about Sean, but if someone can, please confirm it to me).

TL;DR: From the beginning of the game, Teshin has been around and knows a lot more about the story than we do, but he isn't relevant until Natah and The War Within (not even after this one). Like Ordis, he has the potential to be our new guide but DE is only limiting him to those two quests and T H E C O N C L A V E.

The Warframe story needs some restructuring for the New Player Experience DE have planned...hopefully.

The entire main quest has no breadcrumbs that lead you to it. Teshin could be a character who provides breadcrumbs and info to the player in regards to their true nature. Teshin, given his role in The War Within basically being a double agent, could also become a character who new players encounter and wonder whose side he is really on. He could both an ally and a roadblock for players. Which leads to the reveal in TWW.

Solaris vox and united, ostrons and quills, simaris, 6 basic syndicates, and vent kids.

2 of which spread their standing out over 3 or 4 separate rep sinks.

Then you have railjack which is almost a syndicate of its own. Unique resources, and tons of grind.

AND THEN there is liches which isnt really a syndicate but definitely has several layers of grind.

    Not including onslaught and arbitrations.

And your clan is like a syndicate in terms of resource sink. If youre doing your own that is.

    Naw really?

You asked what they meant, i explained it.

For a newer player splitting your time up across all that stuff can be quite overwhelming and offputting.

No one starts a game in anticipation of the length of time a game like warframe requires to slog through, especially when you have limited time to play.

And i mentioned liches and explained why i mentioned it all in the same sentence.

    Aint bemoaning S#&$.

Lmfao the way that people interperet everything they read from their own insecurities and qualms.

Its amazing that people attempt to engage in discussions with others with zero intent to actually discuss or converse. Rather, they turn it into silly games of attack and defend.

And, though you want to nitpick, almost syndicate definitely applies for the exact same reasons it was mentioned to begin with.

If youre unable to understand how it relates its not my problem.

So I started before Mirage prime got released, back when frost prime was free if you had twitch prime. Raids were still a thing back then, and while I only ran raids 4x (2 each mission) before they got taken away (and promised replacement soon).

This game peaked at sacrifice/PoE, and has gone down hill since then. The reason I say this is because another member said something that made me recall my years of playing "the game peaked when you went from intermediate to vet" and that's not true for me.

Agreed. I started playing after Sacrifice & PoE were released. Sacrifice was the last time this game got me excited and happy with what I was actively doing. Since then it's just seemed busy work. I was worried when DE said no more character driven story missions like we got for frames (Mirage, Chroma, Umbra etc.). Unfortunately my worries were founded. 😟

There's so many unanswered questions in this game, it's like a child with ADHD is working on it. "hey let's announce the main story, now let's work on open world, now make a main story quest, now another open world, now back to main story, now a corpus rework (which looks freaken fantastic BTW!)" then what's next? No main story for another 3 years?

I have so many unanswered questions.

If all the orokin died, how is Ballas alive

If Ballas is alive does that mean there's more orokin alive?

What was the full extent of the old war, what stories are there? De can delve so deep into TOW that this game can literally have main story for years to come hurt between TOW and TNW.

We'll probably never know the answers to these questions. There's so much DE can do...and don't bother doing.

What I dislike about de is "we are making new player content but no old player content". I have multiple reasons why I dislike this approach:

I have 2 clan mates who just started a month ago, they are SO STRESSED because of syndicate standing, Fortuna and LD standing, cetus and quills standing, they have 0 idea where to start. They almost quit the game until I sat down with them and talked them through everything.

Stop piling on new players DE, and start focusing on some vet player content for a bit. New players are stressed out, and I know I was when I started because there was 0 explication of mods, crafting, anything and I didn't have to deal with 100 factions taking different rep for each one, plus learn how to mod, plus learn how to craft, plus learn the game itself. I would have looked at this game and said "nope I'm done" too if I had all that stuff to worry about at mr2.

There's way too much bloat in the game. Warframe needs a refresh and the grind needs to be reduced to entice new players to play and keep up with the game.
