  1. they could do some cheap stuff like a hard mode star chart to unlock with lvl 150 + enemies, mission challenges like locked to solo, duo, or single weapons etc... with only kuva and endo as possible rewards and cosmetics at junctions. So it'd stay optional and still a goal to reach while relic farming would remains a thing for newer player to be helped by vets in the normal star chart.

if we gonna have 2 timelines with Duviri they can also create a lore explanation for something like that

Killing both zealots gives you 50 standing.

Whereas before you got 50 standing for each fugitive, for a total of 150 standing for a single encounter, 3x as much.

true, but we also have a new catchup mechanic for the challenges themselves whereas before, fugitives were the only way to make up for missed challenges. So they are easier to ignore (if they don't chase you and teleport in front of you)

Yeah, anything that actual asks for co-operation doesn't work unless you have a group of friends or clan members that are on the same page from the start or you get very lucky.

I hear lots about how wonderful the player community is but whenever someone points out that there's lots of players that can't be bothered to actually try to work as a team the answer is always the same: 'play solo'.

If you don't like how players don't have each others backs then the advise is 'play solo'. NEVER do I see someone mention that those that just want to do there own thing should play solo. No, us who like to play with a squad, we're the problem and we should just go solo. How dare we expect people to work together in a coop PvE game. How utterly silly of us.

Run through a mission in 2.5 seconds. What? You wanted to pick up some resources or even an Ayatan? Nope, we'll pull you out. Go play solo.

Killing Eidolons.... What? You wanted to capture them? Nope, don't have time for lures to be filled. Go play solo.

Killing Simaris scan targets. What? You wanted to scan it? Why? No time, have to kill, kill, kill. If you wanted the scan you must be a 'noob'. Go play solo.

So what if I start each and every excavator without ever bothering to defend any of them. Who do you think you are trying to teach me how to play the game efficiently. If you don't like it then go 'play solo'.

What? Each of us defending one interception point? Nay, that's for losers. Don't have time for it. No let's all stand on the same one and then , in group, keep running to the next one to capture over and over again because I drank to much Monster/Red Bull and can't stand to actual chill. Go play solo you loser.

Exploring the survival map to see if there's any goodies? Nope. Picking a place to just let the enemies come to the squad and profit from the affinity range? Nope. Everyone disperse and try to kill as many as you can by yourself, constant being frantic zipping around the entire map. You don't like that? Go play solo !

Yep, wonderful community of players indeed.

    *stare*

Are there mature minded players that enjoy the game, take the time to explore, finding the hidden rooms, working together with their squad, letting there squad know if and where something is of interest? Yes there are but truly they are not the vast majority of players. Let's be honest now, a serious chunk of the playerbase are entitled self-aggrandizing snowflakes. I've played the game now every day for a year now and after +2k hours I have found a handful of people I would run with no matter what mission or task. Another handful with which I can do somethings sometimes without them peeving me off or I them.

you're mistaken teamwork and public missions

what are the reasons to go public?

1 - you're having difficulties on your own

2 - you can solo but you wanna do it faster/easier  because you don't like the mission type, you need to farm the reward, want some XP for your fodder weapons etc...

3 - you have no problem solo it and say why not carry someone else

4 - you forgot to select solo

if you are in group 1 (or 4) with exigencies, you're just being rude.

also another thing, practice your bullet jump (crouch+jump, and eventually double jump) it sends you in the direction your camera is facing, allowing you to jump very high if you are looking up.
In some rooms you may find somewhere high enough to be unreachable for the zealots and procuring a secure cover while you can still shoot at them. These spots are often used for the hidden caches so it won't hurt to survey your surroundings in that direction too.

    and good luck.

  5. dodge, run, take cover to try and aim.

when they kill you and you revive, you have a few seconds of invincibility and a little energy back, if you are on Excalibur and above level 10, use your 4th ability and hack the hell out of them during those seconds, if you're on Mag or Volt or lower level Exca, run behind a wall or some cover so you can try and shoot safely then run to another spot and repeat. Dodge rolling will give you a lot of armor while you are moving too. (double tap dodge or custom control)

Between missions, use all the weapons/frame mods you can and upgrade them as far as your money, endo and mod capacity let you, it makes a lot of difference too.

Crowd Control skills may work but for a very very  short duration compared to normal mobs, don't rely on them, keep your energy for the rest of the mission.

Use the recruit channel to group up with other beginners or try your chance with public groups, beginner missions shouldn't be invaded by high level players rushing the missions, but it can happen.
These enemies gonna spawn every time if you stay long enough in the mission, and as a beginner, you need to learn mission layouts and get ressources, so you may encounter them basically every mission. It might be a good idea to group up with other beginners and learn together while Nightwave is up. Speaking in chat makes wonder to learn about people goals for the mission and exchanging new tricks.

I was in the same situation as you last nightwave, and yes beginners really lack of tools to deals with those kind of spawns. You gonna get killed a lot, just see this as a "strategic energy refill". And do your main quest, it'll give you more tools to deal with them at some point. There is a looooot of things to discover, don't let those guys discourage you. It's worth the struggle.

Oh I forgot, when you do a Rescue mission and dont trigger the alarm (or if you trigger the alarm you'll have to  kill a warden for this), you get a blueprint to craft some "specters" who are henchmen in the form of your chosen frame with infinite energy and ammo, that can be very helpful, though a bit expansive at first, but very worth crafting and using.

I never liked leaching so I give my best in ESO and try to kill as much as I can but then it makes sense to me that my kills with saryn goes to my warframe - I didnt know that this is 100% (its just makes no sense for me).

Thank you for your good explanation, its sad that you dont get anything from doing a lot of damage with your frame but its how it is 🙂

Then this Thread can be closed!

you should install a focus lens on your frame so all that frame XP doesn't go to waste. You gain focus XP for getting XP past max level with gear/frame that have a lens equipped.

Sometimes, when I accidentally click on a mission, it starts a timer to find a squad. But even though I know I made the mistake and I click the cancel button very quickly, it still cancels the mission but people are joining me as a squad. I bet this confuses other players that join me and they don't see a mission selected and counting down. It literally took me a second to cancel the mission but it still made people join me. This is rather annoying for me and disrespectful to other gamers. I'm reporting it as a bug because the mission is clearly canceled followed by people joining me. I think there should be like a two second delay in the countdown before it actually starts matchmaking, thus giving fast clickers like me a chance to back out without these consequence.

yes that ^^ and also, the mission starts too fast when there is an existing group too, I often want to go solo, but forget to check my current mode before choosing the mission, and the mission starts without delay, for yet another facepalm moment or just a quick alt-F4. (the plus side is that when it happens, at least, we're not the host)

I wish  I could pick my group mode after selecting the mission or better, have the group mode dropdown menu directly on the mission link (that would be ugly, but would keep the current amount of clicks to enter a mission) Or even just a flashy reminder of what group mode i'm currently in on the mission mouseover.

    something like this?

     w4Bal5H.png

A shortcut to leave the squad could be useful too, to try to remedy the OP issue quicker. Or maybe just have the cancel button cancel the mission + leave squad at the same time could do the trick?

  8. Nothing extraordinary, systems blueprints drop rate is lower than neuroptics/chassis. It always seem abysmall when bosses are still hard to kill because it takes time, but if you note down how many run you actually do for each boss, overall it should balance with the expected drop rate.

And if you get the system first, don't rejoice too fast, sometime the chassis will take a dozen of kills 😄

  9. happened everytime I saw them today (solo missions). Spawn on player + instant aggro. I don't even see their red waypoint before being shot. And rather dead if i'm not running Rhino. Which I don't intend to do for the next 4 weeks.

I liked the IFF before the faction "fix", it was coherent and cut us some slack. Maybe the issue, if they cleared whole missions, was that they hit too hard for the mission level? Crossfire auto completing aren't an issue, nor Sentients on Lua, why should those guys behave incoherently and attack just us?

Edit: I've spawned one more pair in a bigger room while doing a mobile defense, they apparently just spawn in the same room where you are: this time they spawned on a balcony over me.
But today I was looting containers in confined rooms most of the time, in search of rare container for mantis on grineer ship tiles, so they spawned right on me, generally one at the door, one behind me in the room I just cleared.

A fix to make them spawn 1 or 2 rooms farther would be appreciated so we can react on plan how to deal with them, let beginners a chance to escape too.  The "bugged" IFF was really nice because it did let options. Ignore them, escape, lure them to distract other mobs for help and tanking etc... that was nice and fun, we could feel inventive while levelling crap weapons, still had a chance to deal with them in missions above our paygrade. the small NW XP gain didn't make it gamebreaking either. Now it's just plain annoying to have them spawn in missions of a relevant or higher level for us.

I was a beginner during NW1 and the fugitives were a real PITA, never understood why fugitive would chase, bully and rekt their so called "hunters" to be honest. I had no chance to finish solo missions fit for my level with full XP when I met them pre-operator. And on the other hand they still are not a challenge for veteran players. A bit of balance would be appreciated here.

It's like that in real life too lol. Snow reflects the sun like 5x more cause of the albedo. Ever been snowboarding in the sun?

we are driving mechanical frames though. In/out light adaptation shouldn't be worse or longer for a machine than for an human eye. Optical diaphragms are from what... 19th century?

I prefer to do up to Lv3 bounties for the challenges, it would be harder to encounter Doma, if they even go for the lesser one then tough luck.

that is not the problem, problem is that people use public as opposed to forming a private group for the challenge purpose, then they can pick whatever bounty they want, I wouldn't be thrown in their group.

I had to run about 30 bounties to get a lens, I can't possibly kill a doma thumper every time I run a public bounty.

Personal targets are a one time thing, you can't redo them later once completed, for the Thumper challenge I just go solo, start a Lv5 bounty and hunt the thumper, once killed and the challenge confirmed I just extract through the gate.

ha I didn't know the synthesis personal targets didn't renew, I never finished them

I don't have a problem to kill the thumper, I had a problem farming bounty rewards because of people using public groups to kill thumpers instead of using recruit channel. And they ignore the bounty. I tried the recruit channel to make a group bounty only, but guess what, no one is looking for that in the recruit chat because there is a matchmaking feature at Konzu. Had to solo all of my T5 bounties last week to try and get an eidolon lens.

People seem to want to kill the highest possible level thumper because reasons.

Also, the problem I have with Simaris scans is getting less than 5 targets and having to wait 24 hours for new ones, why isn't Simaris refreshed more often? is that because he has no daily standing cap? oh wait, he does!

I didn't check before the challenge was complete though other people's daily, but you can pick a personal target on the console behind Simaris (the left one). It should work.

On topic, not a fan of the profit taker, and having Cetus public bounties hijacked all week by people doing NW thumper and ignoring the bounty is very annoying too.

  14. I think I found what is wrong: it's not that the reward doesn't adds up from one session to another, it's that the reward screen when you go to Fortuna shows the total number of points you have instead of showing only those you got for the session.

I haven't double checked yet but the number of points we are supposed to get and the number of points shown on the reward screen weren't consistent either.

  15. yes please.

Right now with nightwave, farming T5 bounty is a nightmare, everyone goes there to find a Doma thumper because of a rumor that they spawn more easily there, and they run public instead of making a custom group, then they ignore the bounty and you have to deal alone with higher spawn rates.

I'm sure the same people who are reluctant to use the chat to find a group for such trivial matchmaking wouldn't have any issue selecting the right activity at Konzu.

Yeah, sure, use your brilliant shard (1 for eidolon) to summon them, meanwhile I keep mine.

It's the same reason on why now razorback ciphers are removed from all players regardless of who opens the door

it could be a unique quest item that drops during the hunt, or just like keys or datamasses. Something you wouldn't keep outside the mission.

and exploiter orb doesn't work like razorback ciphers, if giving one example is proof of something.
