  1. "Solo'd mission. Completed the Nightwave challenge 7000 Spy mission. Received no award at the end. Here's how I did it: Ran Regular Spy mission on Linda as Wukong Prime. Cloudwalked across the map, manually accessed all vaults (except one on the first run, on the second, all manual accessing), cloudwalked through each vault, manually hacked each of the three consoles, then cloudwalked out to the exit. No Alarms. When I completed the mission I received no award. Please fix this."

  2. When it comes to MR rank, I tend to assume that a high MR player is less patient, faster in general, and more knowledgeable than a lower MR player. This translates to being able to ask them about game functions and mechanics, understanding they will tend to blitz through the lower levels, and not wanting to explore every little thing on a level when playing with them (after all, if I’m curious about something I can just ask them).

On the flip side, I tend to assume lower MR level players are going to ask questions (or need direction), will be slower, and will tend to copy what I am doing.

I had one case where I was in a defense mission, got bored, and decided to camp on a wire blasting enemies. A MR 3 player then copied me. I assume that he thought that was the “correct” way to do the missions (which gives me a chuckle when I think about it now, months later).

MR matters, but it is not the only thing that matters. And, just because someone has a high MR does not mean that they are leaders of any sort. I would say that, for the majority of players (one sigma out) they are more like skilled engineers than executives or managers.

  3. OP, if you are still open to thoughts:

items listed on Warframe.Market can be largely considered commodities. Thus, the market has set a price. While a few enterprising individuals may price lower or higher than the median price, the daily cost of an item is largely set. Requesting a discount or lower price on a commodity tends to annoy many buyers (both in real life and in WF). These items are fungible. There are a few items listed on the Market that are not fungible, but they tend to be high priced and often much more rare (currently, think along the lines of a Trinity Prime set - which will quickly become fungible as soon as it is unvaulted in the next few weeks).

You, of course, have the right/ability to request a lower price, but they also have the right/ability to be insulted and react negatively to you (within reason ... something laced with profanity or real world bodily harm would not be OK).

Items not listed on the Market are much more open to negotiation. However, because they are more rare, it is unlikely that a lower offer will result in the seller wanting to let it go at - what they consider to be - a low price.

But (which means “ignore everything before this”), in Trade Chat or Warframe.Market, you use the “want to buy” request function, you will sometimes find someone who is happy to sell you an item at a price that is lower than what the rest of the market has deemed as fair. This doesn’t mean you ask individuals for a “discount,” it means that you ask the Market for a willing seller. Big difference.

    thoughts?

  4. To avoid this scenario from ever happening, two ways of doing things (together):

    1. Build up and then keep a Prudent Reserve.

    2. Don’t buy anything more than what your Prudent Reserve can cover.

example: if you are going to spend 250p (I don’t know why you would ever spend that much in a single transaction with another player, but hey, you do you), make sure you have at least 500p.

It is not that difficult to get plat. DE is incredibly player-focused and generous to allow plat to be used for trades in-game. Why should they bear any risk for enabling such functionality because of a few bad actors? It is on all players to transact responsibly and understand the risks. If this really feels like too big of a risk then don’t engage in trading with other players. You don’t have to do so to enjoy the game. Negative plat lock outs seems like a lack of understanding by the players (translation: lack of understanding of human nature) of the possible risks when dealing with anonymous people on the internet.

  5. Same problem here.

Maybe you should just kill Railjack completely? The team working on it seems to be really struggling. Re-task them onto teams that are working on things such as the next open world.

  6. Great job DE! First, it would not let me download the update earlier today (even though I have little interest in RJ), then ... right after I was able to get in, you kicked us out for an update to the update. Then the new update downloads just fine, but when I go to log in, it tells me I still need to update. This is more than a little annoying.

  7. The ability to execute a trade within the app without having to log into the game would be awesome. However, the downside would be that a lot of players could "show" online, while they are actually unavailable, thus leading to a lot of frustration. Just think about the frustration when a player is in a mission and the time spent waiting for them to complete it. Now multiply that because someone is chilling with friends and away from their phone (or just not paying attention to it). I don't see DE adding functionality to the app around this.

Being able to purchase items w/ credits through the "market", however - that should definitely be added. How nice it would be to have completed all the necessary items needed for a given warframe and then be able to purchase the blueprint and start making it from the mobile app!

  8. Team,

When a Prime part is being crafted in the Foundry, until it is complete the blueprint still shows up in inventory.

Why this matters: I run a spreadsheet of all Prime parts / blueprints. I categorize them "Keep / Sell / Ducats" - Basically, I track what I want to make, what I want to sell for Plat to other players, and what I am going to trade for Ducats (basically, items that, to me, are junk). Recently I've begun to use the app to help update my spreadsheet and warframe.market. A few times now, items that appear to be in my inventory are, in fact, in the Foundry being crafted. This has led to wasted time and ill-will (and embarrassment) with other players who are wanting to purchase items that appear my inventory in the app, but are not actually in my inventory in the game.

    Please correct this.

    Thank you

  9. Digital Extremes was fully acquired 4 years ago. What is your point with bringing this up? What does the acquisition have to do with the asset being less valuable 4 years later in your mind?

An infusion of capital 4 years ago allowed the game to become what it is today. I don’t see Leyou Technologies allowing its investment die off. Rather, I would think after paying to get the cash flow, they would be working hard to extend the game for as long as possible - even to the point of making additional investments (or at least allowing for larger retained earnings that can be re-invested for a return).

All of this to say that your argument that because Leyou Technologies is involved equals the death of a) the online community and B) the asset of the game doesn’t make a lot of sense.

  10. Huh. This thread no longer has anything to do with rivens having the stat bonuses reduced if the weapon they are using becomes more widely used by the player base. Which, at the end of the day, is a good way for the developer to make sure that rivens don’t become too valuable and create too powerful of a setup. They are crowd-sourcing through player preference to find the best weapons and then making sure no single mod creates an unfair advantage that can’t be replicated unless someone is willing to pay literally hundreds of real dollars.

Instead, the thread is now about Play to 2 Win and whether or not Warframe is. How about this, we agree that if you don’t like the game, you go play full price for a game you DO like, and let everyone else enjoy what they want? Many people don’t mind trading a few days of real world time for something. You know why? Because they have stuff to do outside of hhe game. If you don’t, and really are having a strong emotional reaction to waiting on a game mechanic, you have a choice: pay real money to make the mechanic go away, or find a different entertainment option. Pretty simple.
