  1. I don't mind how much farming is involved this is one hell of a project. I mean, c'mon, who isn't impressed when walking into the hangar?

Having been here from almost the start of this adventure and put in a lot of money and time - even though I have forged about 90% of the stuff it's amazing how one hell of a lot of money finds its way out - DE continue to bring us quality in gaming and graphics.

OK, periodical ''suck up' over.  🙂

It's like anything else in Warframe OP, just bang your head against it long enough and RNG will reward you.

It took me about 30 minutes of cave mining to get the ones I needed without a booster.

Got 86 in about a hour.

  3. Deck 12 with 40+ each time over two runs and a load of other needed bits and pieces.

When I got there I realised I'd completely cleared that cave back when Orb Vallis first appeared so I could walk around at my leisure with all doors open.

Just 15 Argon to go for the tail. . . happy days 🙂

  4. The lack of copernics is a bit of a joke.

If you google there are a few liars as usual giving out fairy stories of where they can be found but nada, zilch, presenting themselves. Since Orb Vallis appeared it has always been short on the resources. Now I understand the new rail track undertaking is to strip us old hands of a chunk of our accrued stocks. That's fair enough but like good little tenno most of us have  been out there slogging away for the needed 6 million credits etc but DE should keep up their end by providing the possibility of finding what we need and I can't find ONE copernic.

It really is bloody annoying when farming on Eiolon is nicely balanced if we plug away but Orb Vallis always seems to be forgotton.

Those 'in the know' mention Temple of Profit; Around the lake outside of Fortuna; Harind Crater; and the official line is the red ore . . . of which you would be very lucky to find a handful across the whole map.

So, c'mon DE, shake a leg and get a decent amount of red ore sprinkled around.

Our new quest is first class but bugger, you really laid it on with a trowel this time to stretch us.

  5. I have observed that the popular pond not far left from leaving cetus throws up; Yogwun, Khut-Khut, Mortus Lungfish and a few others consistently night and day in an ad hoc manner.

Going to the far left to the edge of the map leaving cetus there is a little hook of bare land which consistently throws up; Karkina, Goopla, Sharrac, Tralok, and a few others night and day but does it on a rotation. I fish there regularly and using different baits to speed up the process always come away with dozens of fish.

The Murkray on the far right also work on a rotation so forget the foaming rings which keep appearing [waste of bait as they come and go so quick and are so far from shore you can't reach them], as all you have to do is throw in some Murkray bait every so often and when its their turn to shine you can grab a buckful in no time . . .around 12 was my best after catching 2 rotations in about 20 mins. Rest of the time it was Goopola and Tralok [the latters eyes being very necessary]. I found the hotspot for Murkray fishing but the essential spot can easily be found on google.

Also found a Norg hotspot middle of the biggest lake from a low, flatish, rock surrounded by taller rocks.

So many gamers seem to dislike the grind of farming which suggests that they want to be able to get everything almost instantly yet none suggest another way to create a passage of time, something every game needs if it isn't going to be instantly to end game, which seems to be a bit reflective of just about everything in life today.

Anyway, my two penneth on the off chance it might be useful for someone who does enjoy the fishing

Bait is so stupid. Unnecessary RNG and grind (or farming + time walls though crafting times are luckily short).  Certain fishes should always spawn at certain locations (sometimes sharing locations right now) without the need for bait.

    ugh DE.

I think you have missed the point but nevertheless what you say is perfectly valid.

Fishing is a side game but still connected to the main game. OK! I can hear the shouts that if it is a side game it should be one of choice like all the other 'fillers' and not connected but this is a totally different situation. DE have, for the first time, moved out of what used to be the main game and given us a whole new world of choices as an addition to the main game. For players such as myself who have been here on a regular basis for over 4 years it is a massive step forward and I know that given a bit of time DE will refine the experience of the 'plains', they will listen and slowly adjust things in an attempt to keep as many people as possible happy.

I love the fishing and collecting the things stuck in the rocks as it makes for enjoyable solo gaming acquiring stuff needed for forging and using some for 'standing'.

Players helping players and googling have led me to finding everything available to find so when reading some of the posts I suspect some impatience and frustration is at large.

Thank you! That was the spot. Got my Myrklays at down (was tossing baits at day, but got only Tralock and Goppola). Have not been able to test at nigth, was out of bait.

    Also, "lake fish", riiiiigth.

Finally! I got 6 in a couple of minutes, and then a few more soon after.

At night about half way across fishing from the shore. I used the first spear we get, murkray bait, and blue dye. Got most kills with one shot.

Tried in day time but was a waste of time and gear.

EDIT: got a load more on a second visit but this time they took a few hits on each one.

1 is a bug that cropped up a few patches ago. Clearly isn't an easy fix or it would be done.

There is a soft limit on height you can be at above the ground on the Plains in an Archwing. Stay closer to the ground and you won't be pushed down.

Forward roll is now working properly but all they have to do with the archwing is just knock a few points off of the sensitivity.

  9. Can no longer have Ivara using the Shift button to forward roll when invisible without it removing invisibility. This also affects bullet jumps etc., as it defeats the purpose of being invisible.

But the real doozy is using archwing on eildon. The speed is ridiculous and it just doesn't want to fly as it just drops out of the sky as soon as forward motion stops . . . in fact if you don't keep pushing it towards space it will just speed itself into the ground.

  10. So, we have moving stations and we need to remain inside of them until they count to 100. If you stand out front on the turns and get an anticipate so much as a fraction of a second out the station has gone and you are left standing, same if you wait at the back. No frame can accelerate to nor reach the kind of speeds seen by the stations.

Because of the amount of stations and the short time to get them all this test becomes another RNG type event where a game largely consisting of skill to advance has that cheapened by having a 'roll of the dice' event in one of the crucial areas.

Oh! I'm sure that there will be those only too ready and willinging to say otherwise but there is a very easy conclusion to the argument. I'd like to see a YT video of the DE staff passing this test, and not getting in some stooges to do it for them.

Testing what is considered a fair test has to be passed by 'Joe Average', and if too many of those cannot pass it, it needs to be altered. If you put up a test relying more on luck than skill you have to balance it by allowing more time for completion.

  11. Can someone please tell me where I can farm the basic lenses needed for forging the better ones?

I googled and it said on the daily sorties but all I get is yet another ayatan sculpture.

They grow down from where you cast, so if you want a taller wall you jump into the air and then cast it. You can bullet jump higher into the air by crouching and then jumping looking straight up into the air, then you can hit right click when you're at a height you want the wall at to slow yourself down and then immediately hit your 4.  Sometimes it's a bit finicky. It has a maximum height, so you can't make an infinite height wall. It also will sometimes decide some surface it touched is the floor and stop growing past that point.

    Thank you :)

  13. Well, I can confirm that you can do the quest without having done Vor's Quest as I've just done it. Had to because you don't get access to the Quills until you have done it.

I could be wrong but maybe Vor's Quest as a prerequisite is more to do with the lore than an actual necessity?

  14. Are they taking the piss? if you didn't do something 3+ years ago you cannot do the latest quest, lol.

As it is I saw that the only the BP is connected to the quest with each part requiring different missions. SOOoooooo . . . with 800+ plats kicking around I took the easy option and bought the Frame. :)

EDIT: TheSpitfire's post makes sense as even without Vor's Quest being done the guy gives out the first part of the quest . . . pity DE didn't clarify this in the notes . . .or maybe they did? you know what an impatient load of buggers we are.
