  1. This isn't the first time designing a mode to appease players that hated it might have ruined something good for me, but I think this one hits the hardest. Staring at the Avionics screen and realising that there's no reason to equip anything, that shields no longer matter, that the experience has been simplified but not changed by the breach alterations, that fire suppression takes 8 ranks to shave a minute off a 5 minute cooldown, was the most disappointing thing I've experienced in all seven years as a player. My maxed rank Maxima in a 3 rank slot now increases shields by about 300 points -  equipping it in an unranked slot grants me a whole 50 shield. I didn't need that many ranks in Hyperstrike BEFORE the damage changes, one-shotting fighters at half rank. Now I can put more ranks in it, because I don't gain much from equipping Maxima or Conic Nozzle or upgrading Fire Suppression any more, but there's no reason to. Why build anything? A max rank bulkhead hardly matters, none of it does anything, none of the utility mods matter.

Everything that wasn't "building the railjack exactly like a tenno in the ground game ie never any utility or variation or shield mods" seems to have gone from avionics. I am DREADING starting a railjack mission. I thought it was the best space game I'd played in years; this has left a sour feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Oh - and I notice no fix for the near-universal exploit of hiding the Railjack inside the murex, thus breaking pathfinding for sentient attackers? Is this unreported because players like it too much?

EDIT: Just wrapped on my first railjack mission since the update. The health of enemies on foot has much improved, they no longer require broken guns to kill effectively, and loot in general is higher. Everything else is either a wash - like the interface, with its improved aim indicators and its new bottom bar for the tactical menu that overlaps the fast travel point for the forge - or distinctly worse. Drift maneuvers are pointless, I didn't notice when I was just boosting instead. Weapons still don't affect crewships meaningfully. The railjack feels less like a capital ship worthy of its name. The role of side gunners is reduced. Hazards just never happened. Brushing a boarding pod with a gun destroys it instantly. All threat and tension has gone from the missions. They felt like running low level exterminates. And that's solo, dread to think what it's like in a squad. Stop listening to the most vocal critics of every new update!

  2. Rescues and Sabotage nodes report that the kuva lich mission on the node will be an exterminate, but will load a rescue or sabotage objective instead.

There's also an interface issue, possibly related, where "Crossfire" is the mission type reported even when it's actually "Crossfire Spy".

  3. Just a quick note that your perception of liches as undead creatures with their souls bound to objects is literally just from d&d.

I'd also point out that "sent" is doing a lot of work in your claim that loot transfers to your orbiter in a manner that can't be interfered with - and that criticisms of gameplay and writing should be kept separate, because there are a dozen ways I can explain this using fiction but I think you have a problem with the mechanic, not the immersion.

  4. Racking up 125% accuracy with the Cyanex without ever aiming it at anything is probably a bug? I'm not sure, because keeping track of all the darts from this thing is impossible as I boldly refuse to take any care with shooting it whatsoever, but it consistently scores some of my best accuracy numbers ever - I beat a careful Paris Prime player who was placing his shots by 4% accuracy yesterday, and I spent the whole mission deliberately firing at walls and the sky (constantly, without ever stopping, even when no enemies were around, including for a minute of void fissure infinite ammo buff). 52% accurately, supposedly. Similarly, I've repeatedly recorded accuracies above 100%.

Feels like this might not be just Switch-related either.

  5. Switch on docked mode, I'm seeing pink/green vaguely grineer-esque patterns in some lights and on some screens. Most notably, they appear in the "bar" for set mod bonuses. These glitches begin only after playing my first mission - not when I launch warframe, but after playing one mission.

They're not super consistent, so I'm not looking at any right now to screenshot, but the impression I'm getting is that they're "missing" errors - they are pixellated weirdly and use shades of colours I associate with "missing graphics", not ones that fit into warframe, and appear to be generating in place of some other effect or texture?

  6. Currently there's a large number of situations where you can be holding a button (eg crouch) but not perform the associated actions, eg bullet jumping. Beginning to hold down a button can be interrupted by various animations or other button presses, leading to a common situation where you don't bullet jump or don't activate a power you intended to.

I'm honestly not sure exactly what's happening - I'm dyspraxic, so it's taken me a while to notice it wasn't just me - but it seems like pressing the crouch button when it has no effect (eg during the takeoff of a bullet jump or animation of a power casting) and then not releasing it does NOT read as "holding the crouch button down", which intuitively it seems it should?

Warframe has been learning how to update itself and make better content from its release to now. The improvement of the paywall, the update from cetus to orb vallis, and reworks on characters and maps. These are all things warframe is learning to do and they are good, but they are not great. DE has been doing new things and fixing old things and learning from us the player community. When they hear us praising the new warframes they think we only want more and more. The content of new warframes only last a couple at hours at most and then we have to wait another couple of months for the first look of yet another warframe with less and less content on their lore and story. We like and enjoy the small little things DE, but if you keep doodling on your sheet of paper there won't be any good works of art on it. When warframe has good content or good works of art they usually follow this list.

    • Does this have REAL content
    • Will Majority of the Community love this
    • Will it benefit the game in the future
    • Will it have more than one purpose

These are what most content needs to follow. They sometimes follow this list and it really improves the game, but they need to learn that they can only play after they finish working. These cosmetics can be held off and released all together in a big bunch after you fix at least one of your broken systems: Conclave, Sanctuary Onslaught, Arbitration, Archwing, Rewards, etc. Warframe is a game that is still learning what is good and what is bad. Little projects are fun, but pushing more into the bigger projects are way better.

Don't get me wrong, warframe is a great game and it has released a ton of fun content. Empyrean is right around the corner and I'm gonna spend days playing that. The problem that everyone is realizing is that DE always hear what we want, but not what players actually need. If anyone of you guys ever been to Fanzone on warframe fourms you know all the crazy concepts that wouldn't pass as good content. Then there are some not so crazy ideas that would actually really improve the game a lot. Warframe is turning out too much like Fanzone. Most of the ideas aren't content, but the ones that are had a lot of thought and effort put into it. This is why most of the surviving warframe youtubers are meme channels. The content are memes because of how its getting increasingly meaning less.

As soon as possible, DE please look at the bigger picture. You need to deconstruct the word Content.

Did you like totally forget cetus and fortuna and railjack and disruption and rathuum and index? And that's just the last year or so.

no, she says "Eff-Emera", no "eh" which I think may be the root of the miss-pronunciation. Eh-Fem-Erra definitely sounds different from "Eff-Emera". (Or perhaps Eff-A-MERA). I am Californian (Now Utahan) and an expert in American grammar and pronunciation due to my deep and abiding love of the language. I have been reading and writing since three and have had elocution and speaking lessons. Listen to her next time she says it and you'll hear what I'm talking about.

Honey if you really loved this you'd know how to phonetically transcribe something using eg the IPA, which is not ambiguous.

Both of the renderings you gave are pronounced /ɛˈfɛməɹə/ for a standard british english speaker. The two pronounciations acceptable for us are /ɪˈfɛməɹə/ and /ɪˈfɪməɹə/. Yes, that's right, for hilarious extra value content, the "correct" pronounciation is actually one which you didn't note - "eef", not "eff".

Incidentally, if you're interested, the error you're noticing isn't in pronounciation but in STRESS, quite clearly from your description (though I haven't heard the livestream) so maybe look at that! It sounds like the devs are saying /ɛfə'mɛɹə/ or /ɪfə'mɛɹə, from your description
