its my favorite secondary, its perfect for my playstyle, it allows me to shoot a little bit and hide to replenish my shield and hope the enemy was killed while i was hiding.

i hated gathering plant stuff but loved the forest. i was lucky and got 100 on my first lapis run. i took a risk and joined people i didnt know and it paid off. i play warframe to kill monsters not pick flowers.
edit to answer question:i will still play the event to help friends and clan when asked but i will not just do it for s and gs.

If it was a totally separate game I would be in favor of it. It could use all the same assets and characters and settings but be a separate .exe with a separate community and separate personnel group working on it. If that then yes. Then it would meet your criteria of being a pvp warframe without any chance of boning the rest of us that like to keep this game pve and keep pvp changes from being forced upon us..

Join a Clan and get DERA. it is a rapid-fire super accurate long range rifle and looks really cool. might take you some time to rank up the mastery tho. as for pistols i dunno im not a pistol guy.
as for newbie weapons..the default weapons are good just use potatoes and formas to power them up. for a Specific melee recommendation, if you could get your hands on a "hate" scythe you would be doing well but getting one is kind of hard tho.
when i was a newbie i loved the Bo. its a staff that could knock monsters away from me so i could have time to think. later you might wanna get glaive or kestral. they are useful when using guns that are not ammo efficient since you can just chuck them at the monsters from a safe distance.
as for frames hmm..get nyx. with nyx you can make the monsters dumb enough to let you pick them off with your pistol at your leisure.
