  1. Opposite sides of the house.

The echo is NOT being produced by speaker feedback or the like. It happens with both headsets and external speakers. There is no whine or screech. It is a digital echo. It does not fade; each echo in the series is of the same volume as the original sounds. It is created by the game.

Something about two players on the same home network is causing it.

When it happens, anyone joining the squad will hear it, as well.

We have tried every possible combination of speaker settings in the game's Audio menu, to no avail.

  2. I posted about this bug a couple years back; it has not gone away. I am better able to nail down when it happens.

Players on the same home network can experience an echo of in-game VOIP communications. In my situation, with one player hard wired to the router and other players connecting wirelessly, the echo is heard by everyone in the squad. The only remedy I've had thus far is to quit the squad and reform. The echo will vanish after doing this once or twice—usually.

    Thanks.

This is an old bug that pulls the aesthetics down into the gutter: Warframes regularly appear without a head on the player's screen only. Other players see the same Warfame but with its head. Match after match, week after week.

    Can someone look into this?

  4. Four Forma in, I'm debating how to proceed.

Dual Status mods, or 90% mods?

Creeping Bullseye, which may not offer enough boost to warrant its use?

    Hydraulic Crosshairs?

    Sharpened Bullets?

    Thanks for any help.

It's continuous weapon so status is bad. Dmg build is only viable build, maybe crit if you'd run into good riven.

So no Status mods? Something about the procs being applied only once per second renders them useless?

  6. I was lucky enough to catch its mention in the news feed section of the Liset. I vaguely remembered that Machete was something taken out of the game some time ago, so I fairly jumped on getting the blueprint.

At least you got to go on vacation. So there's that.

I suppose you also were part of the angry mob that wanted to burn Mirage and Synoid Simulor? When no one listened to the constant complaining I guess the only thing you could do is to quit the squad, unless it got boring as well and quit the game until the weapon "balancing" was brought in.

The solution is very simple (and it has been posted in various posts by multiple players): IF AND WHEN you go into public squads, you always risk running with players using warframes and weapons you don't like. The thing is, YOU don't like it, but that is on YOU, not DE and not the 3 other players you were matched with. Thus don't run public squads, go solo or recruit.

    LOL. Are you with DE?

Stasis should only affect enemies and not freeze bullets mid air. When we shoot at them, we should still see their health go down, but they won't react physically until stasis stops.

So essentially we are pumping their bodies full of bullets into their time stopped bodies.

Magnetize does something similar to Stasis, but is focused on one target—so it's not as much an issue for other squad members. Doing the same thing to enemies across the map is a design oversight. I don't believe Stasis belongs in the game in it's current form.

  9. I agree that DE has to go back to a point BEFORE the first rework and start over, actually TESTING the frame in game with other players before committing to changes.

I remember two problems from the original build:

    • Trolls would repeatedly banish other players to prevent them from fighting.
    • With Cataclysm, trolls and the simply ignorant would prevent Mobile Defense missions from working.

Harm done to the game and community by those two circumstances never rose to the mess we've endured since the first rework. The new Limbo actually encourages trolling, and it appears the developers expect us all to adapt our play style and expectations to accommodate this one frame and its abilities. It's ridiculous.

I enjoyed playing the original Limbo, and was eager to build him up before that first nightmare rework. It was an interesting, useful frame, if a bit underpowered by many standards. There was no Stasis to contend with, and Catacysm was akin to waking from one room to another—easy to work with.

I would not expect a fix to make Limbo even more complicated and convoluted, requiring every other player to perform complicated maneuvers and work-arounds just to get through a mission.

For now, I can leave any squad with a Limbo in it. Eventually, I will have to quit Warframe.

    Please fix Limbo.

  10. I quit every mission with a Limbo in the Squad. DE has done an amazing job turning a challenging, quirky frame into the biggest developer-sponsored troll I can imagine.

I stopped playing Limbo after the rework. Early on, having enemies become immune to damage was a fair pain. Once players leveled the frame up and began map nuking, Limbo was intolerable.

A second rework stopped the map nuking while amplifying Limbo's ability to troll missions. Now, it is common to have Rift portals set in narrow passages that they cannot be avoided. Players routinely cast entire maps into the Rift and leave other players unable to cause damage (neither weapon nor melee). I actually suspect the second rework was some manner of payback for complaints about the first rework.

I can keep quitting squads with Limbo, but it's going to get old. Eventually, I'll just quit the game.

Make Limbo challenging and quirky again. I don't care if the tolling is intentional or not—do something about it.

    Thank you.

I think that more powerful weapons would only be needed if DE makes going after level 100 relevant for the game.

Already relevant. You can play Sorties and one round of endless missions if you want, but I regularly engage enemies over level 100.

Essentially you have plenty of "Variation" of weapons that can deal with the current content.
Always adding more and more powercreep weapon just to make more diversity is a bad idea.

Current content being your need to prevent endless missions from going past the 4th or 5th round for most players? Revenue down where players are not boxed in sufficiently?

Power creep stems from introducing weapons more powerful than all others currently available.

I've proposed no such thing. My suggestion, which echoes hundreds of identical requests over the years, is that useless Mastery Rank fodder weapons be reworked and aligned with the few practical weapons available today.

Variety is not the same as power creep. The developers are the only ones opposed to variety.

To me, it seems the lot of you are bent on introducing another grind wall of some sort.

  13. Relying on Riven mods to fix lame weapons goes beyond the pale. I'm not playing that game, myself. I think I've unlocked two or three of them since release. Guess I don't care to think of myself as that kind of hamster on a wheel.

I am getting damn tired of the worthless Mastery Rank fodder weapons.

I am getting damn tired of having to use the same few weapons all the time.
