    Snip

I think this is all right on the money. I don't think it's the entirety of the problem, but I do think it's probably the best place to start.

  2. I don't feel your pain, but I do see where your coming from, I can only offer one piece of advice.

Leave the game. Leave the game and come back later you seem quiet burnt out, maybe if you take a break and play some other fun games then maybe you can get back into the action on warframe later on, when the devs update the game some more. And make it better

I agree with this person in the sense of leaving. But coming back I'd say don't. The game isn't in danger of dying any time soon, it's also not in danger of being fun any time soon. After watching update after update, I don't think the devs really know how to make the game more engaging. There have been hundreds of decent posts citing ways to expand endgame and lower level content in new and creative ways. Often in ways that wouldn't require much time to implement and they ignore them. Only when we pour vitriol onto the forums over changes do they even listen. I'd say Amethyst is right, take a break. And take that time to find something better.

  3. I know AFK has been always a problem in MMO, but this solution from DE is... unbelievable. Now I have to check my watch to see if I moved my frame in the last minute.

And here in lies the biggest reveal of the problem. The fact that more than several minutes can pass by in this game and nothing interesting happen.

  4. They just reverted the things the like they were before. If you remove all details about keys and prices there is only one big truth about this game:

We HAVE TO grind to access what we find more enjoyable. High tier Void. This is beyond any logic that's not "we need to sell more keys".

That's all it is. Money. I have to ask myself why I play this game any more. It stopped being for the fun of it some time ago and has resorted mostly to the shinies we get for grinding day after day. Think I'll take a nice long (possibly permanent) break.

  5. Why was this even a necessary feature? How many people have encountered afkers to an extent that this aggressive of an action was required? I don't understand, it's like DE came back from new years and decided meh, this game is no longer fun to make. Let's go back to the grind so we can get our money and gtfo. Referring of course to the syndicate void key changes.

  6. I launch the game, it opens a window which drops to the task-bar soon after. I have to maximize that window again before it will finish loading, after which point it seems to run normally in full-screen mode, except for the HUD and chat windows which seem to be stretched like they're in some other resolution.

    This started happening today.

Mine does this, but then crashes every time I try to go to the navigation panel. Yay bugs :D

At least I can enjoy my festive Christmas decorations.

  7. Just curious as the title says. Way back when (for those that weren't around or don't remember) we had a contest where DE asked the community to design new and unique enemy types for each of the factions. Looking back at that it's been quite some time. Has anyone heard anything or remember reading something about it and when they might be implemented?

Ah here we are, it's been well over 5 months now since that contest ended and upon searching I couldn't find anything further on it.

  8. You really *SHOULDN'T* rank up Life Strike.

Hell, I use Dual Zorens with unranked Life Strike, Focus Energy, Reflex Coil, Killing Blow, Pressure Point, and Reach. Healing 5% per damage-dealt is negligible when your swings are hitting a lot of enemies, very rapidly..

Last I checked, Channeling costs, at-base, 7 energy/swing, so 25 sounds about right. someone actualyl told me it's 26-29 energy with a maxed Life Strike and Reflex Coil. I recommend getting a new Life Strike, unranked, and combining it with a Focus Energy, Reflex Coil, and Killing Blow. Jagged Edge is also an option, instead of Reach.

Hmm Interesting, good to know, thanks for the info. However, the channeling is 5 per strike on all melee weapons. what the first reply said about it hitting multiple strikes per swing makes sense though. Maybe I should try a different weapon with the build i'm using.

    Thanks.

  9. My current loadout.

valkyr + Rage + Vitality + Steel Charge

Orthos prime w/ Life Strike + Killing Blow + Reflex Coil

Now with the above mods, I should have a -80% channeling efficiency (Reflex Coil +60%; Life Strike -140%). Meaning I lose 9 energy per strike while channeling. Currently however, anytime I  use channeling on my Orthos prime, it uses 25 energy per strike. Now I'm not sure if this is a bug with current channeling costs on just this weapon or all weapons in general, but it definitely should be looked at.

  10. If people rescheduled their entire work load for a freaking game, then that's their problem (and honestly kind of stupid). Besides when have we ever gotten an update with a zero after the decimal on time? People need to learn to be patient and let DE work. This is an ambitious update and one we'll likely all enjoy. Let's leave it at that.

  11. Look friend, this is the internet. You shouldn't expect anything more than entitlement and excessive swearing/namecalling. If you do, you only court disappointment and frustration. Find the people that stand out to you and that you enjoy running with then forget about the rest. But don't judge an entire community on the actions or words of a few.

  12. It's been an asked for feature for a long time and I'm 99% sure this is coming with the UI overhaul where we get in-engine UI in our player ships. It should be much nicer than the flash based UI we've got now.

Ah I tried searching for some similar threads but maybe I was looking in the wrong place. Still I'm hoping you're right.

  13. I think it would be a pretty simple and helpful idea to have the weapons stats somewhere next to the modding screen. That way it's easier for people who aren't as savvy with all the different element types and those of us who'd like to see the changes we make without having to hit "apply changes" every time. Anybody else think the same?
