Like the above said, due to DE's agreements with Sony/Microsoft, there will never be a way to port an account from Console to PC. Sad, but true.

That said the reason why they're won't ever be cross-platform play between PC and Consoles has nothing to do with the game Engine, but rather with keeping the Builds of the game in sync. Due to Certification, there's always a delay of at LEAST a few weeks between when DE submits a build to Sony/Microsoft and when they choose to allow that build to actually go through. It has something to do with how the builds interact with Console software, and neither Sony nor Microsoft are okay with a game developer, ANY game developer, having access to change anything to do with that programming at will. Add to that that it usually takes several iterations of DE sending something to Cert, having them send it back to DE for changes, and DE sending it back to Cert, that it's never the minimum possible time between an update being sent to Cert and it actually being accepted into the Console build. This is why DE sends updates out to Console in batches, to eliminate as much time as possible between updates being hung up in Cert.

In order for Cross-Platform play to happen, each build of the accounts playing together has to be the same. If they aren't it leads to all sorts of ugly problems. Since DE doesn't want to hold builds back from PC (since PC does a LOT to help bug test, if nothing else), this kind of play can't happen. This is also why the availability to port accounts from PC to Console are so rare. These ports can also only happen when the builds are in sync. DE has jokingly referred to this syncing as "Building the Rainbow Bridge". If you can have your friends wait, they may be willing to port to Console from PC when this next porting opportunity arises since DE has said that they want to give players another chance to port sometime in the future, but that may take a long time. There's no telling.

    Sorry v.v

I thought the PC to Console was done via duplicating the account and not just transferring it. PC to Console has happened before when patches were out of sync and the content that transferred over was still there, but simply didn't appear until the update came to console.

Although CROSSPLAY COULD be possible if DE is willing too, it isn't in their interest.

It stinks D: *inserts why can't we be friends song here*

I hope a solution can be found and made, I'm sure it's possible, it's just the question of whether DE is willing to jump through all the hoops and Consoles will be willing. If there is ever a time for crossplay with PC it's now with since Xbox and Sony are both up for it.

  2. So I'm a veteran PS4 player that stopped playing for a while due to many friends I made in game leaving. My two best friends began playing Warframe on PC recently (they're hooked) and because I missed the opportunity to transfer my PS4 account over to PC I've been upset that I can't game with them. I've spent a ton of time and money on my PS4 account (reaching master rank 17 since early 2015) so I don't want to start a new account on PC and start all over again just to play with friends and Sony isn't interested in transfers between PS4 and PC. But from what I read DE is not interested in crossplay because it's difficult to have the games on all platforms run on the same engine due to the time it takes for Sony and Microsoft to certify updates, that and DE likes the freedom to update Warframe anytime they want on PC.

So is PS4 to PC or Crossplay between Console and PC still be looking into?

  3. I left the game because it became too repetitive fighting the same hoards over and over again.

No amount of new warframes will shake that and when I try coming back I'm too alienated by all the changes. But the same problems still persist, no end game, lack of amazing boss battles like the Lephantis, and now PS4 has been even more dead lately. Right now I'm sick of new Warframes, Airwing was boring, Kubrows are just another grind and are a boring effort, and a bunch of frames need reworks rather then new ones being added.

I might just transfer my account to PC but I like Warframe on the PS4. So to me it's just the waiitng game.

  4. I talked about this all the time in the past, with no clear end game there will never be balance.

In video games you always design the last level first so you have a clear cut idea of how hard something should be and what the full diffiiculty should be.

Warframe keeps expanding adding end game content that gives you even more powerful mods and warframes, making it mid-game not end game.

I think DE needs to reconsider a cut off point. The most fun I ever had in this game was when everyone first started playing and we we're fighting the Jackal for the first time. Everyone were new, weak, and the Jackal actually offered a challenge.

Now missions are so so polluted, players only want one play style, and there is no real point to the game anymore. I tried playing again yesterday but nothing really changed. It's been a year and a half and everyone is still destroying the same mobs, are OP as hell, and the only real challenge comes from wave 100 T4 dungeons because everything can 1 hit kill you then.

I want to come back but DE hasn't accomplish anything good lately, they just keep beefing up the mid game which is the least of their problems. Early game only now sort of exists, and late game is still abysmal and non-existant.

  5. Misa Prime. (._.)

I love my Misa prime, I shelled just $140 just for it.

I'm only okay with these items coming back only if they cost a premium. But I wouldn't mind seeing it available for $70 with a 90 day credit and affinity pack attached to it.

  6. was just debating this today, its one of they key things to stop vets from burning out..

I haven't played Warframe in about 5-6 months because I did get burnt out from this very reason.

I log on yesterday and felt burn out again just after 1 mission because I got Tenno Anxiety of how much stuff i need to now do in the void. I'll save my keys for later.

  7. Fact:  It takes longer to create content than it does to play it.

So long as there are players who spend every available waking hour playing a game, and who refuse to go and play something else once they have run out of things to do, instead *@##$ing endlessly and demanding that they are given new content to play, then that new content will always consist of large portions of grinding in order to make playing take as long as possible.

The game will also suffer because development time has to be put into producing ever-more new content, instead of bug-fixing the existing content.

You've finished the game as it is.  Go play something else for a few months and give the developers time to work.

I upgraded and recieved almost all the weapons and Warframes in Warframe I stopped playing for a week or two because I was exhausted playing the game so often spending hours grinding it all. More content was released with a ridiculous amount of grind (that is still ridiculous and hasn't change since.) That turned me off from the game and I took a break again, more content released with a ridiculous amount of grind. Now I haven't logged into Warframe since January simply because there has been so much boring grinding, and no end content or big event to renew my interest to that point because the entire game is grinding.

Now take this in a new players perspective, there is so much content and all the new content adds so much grinding that it makes the playthrough dreadedly long and is a huge turn off unless there is some sort of goal rather than short ones.

Right Warframe is goal setting where there is no real end goal or reward. And the only thing being made to solve this is Raids, but even then we will get even more powerful mods/equipment and for what? The next raid we must wait months for? I'm starting to wish Warframe found ways to make grinding more enjoyable and to help establish more end goals like Raids and so on, that way the game is more then just self set short term goals.

  8. I never understood why console owners can't have their own version of Excalibur Prime so we can get the Mastery Rank from it.

We could have Dex or Wraith. Boom! Problem solved, Warframe Masters can have their exclusive prime, while we console peasents get an equivilent to it.

Is this really the most impossible task ever?

  9. I have a feeling it's also the pose that makes Chroma so unappealing.

    nSNbJ7N.png

Look at that. Nobody can make that look cool.

    Meanwhile this other picture

    1a2cwoW.jpg

    Damn that's badass.

He looks better in that direction, but his design is still bad. But you do make a point that is position was very bad in that picture.

I still want a rework of his entire body, and alt helms... >.>

  10. i will try to ignore the awesome medieval saurian frame that sits quietly in the fan zone, because i understand ... if it is too awesome, who will play the malformed ones. well. we still have rhino and saryn.

anyway. so. seahorse and such. ok. but a seahorse is a very fluid thing, not heavy and cluncky like a scorpion or something like that ... if a dev see this i just think a little bit of stretch could do the trick, i ve tried to make a quick sketch :

    chromawtf.jpg

please. the actual model look like someone let him in the microwave for too long.

I can't unsee that now.... He's a microwaved ant eater! XD

  11. Just because a design is creative, doesn't mean it's a good design. I see a lot of truly creative ideas in my Illustration class, but when we all vote on who's design we think is best at the start of every class, the better looking art always wins rather then the more creative looking one. While I'll admit the design is certainly creative, it's simply not a good enough creative design because it's not good looking.

The other problem with this design is that we knew what sort of frame it was supposed to be for a while now, and we all had a pre-conceived idea on how it should look like. The more DE hyped it, the more excited we got, but when we got the end product and found out it wasn't what we thought it would be; we feel hurt and then complain.

  12. I rather see them completely remake it. It looks terrible beyond repair, and there is nothing that can even be savaged from it in my opinion.

I want DE to take a fan-concept and make that the design instead. There is thousands of awesome dragon inspired Warframe ideas in the concepts forum. Use of those, this. THIS is horrid. And I literally just saw this design 3 minutes ago and I know it will never grow on me.

  13. This is what hype does to people.  This is the aftermath.

Come back to the forums in about a week.  They'll have mostly simmered down by then.

This really describes hype in a nutshell, I'm surprised no one at DE realized that this frame was bad looking or at least tried to change it.

Long story short, if your product isn't great you shouldn't create hype for it. All it leads to is disapointment, which could lead to anger or hurt feelings.

  14.  I prefer when they give us some visual teasers too.

I agree. There's no harm in showing us a frame before release, all that does is build up hype. I understand the terrible marketing notion that they want to build hype, and or make it a surprise. But I believe it's always best to show concepts off early to test the waters first so they could consider any small changes.

Take Hydroid, a lot of people agree it was a terrible name, DE took an extra thought and digress. That's good, and it happened well before his release. They mentioned Limbo, people generally liked his name, boom went with it.

Things like abilities don't matter too much because there isn't much to critique until we actually play it ourselves, but things like names and visual looks we can talk about that as soon as the conception of the frame is made,

  15. A couple of months ago I was wearing my Misa Prime during a mission and some person playing was on his mic talking to his younger brother calling me an idiot for spending $140 on the Prime Access pack. :/ This has happened in multiple instances before, but never have I had a person draw so much attention to it to smite me for buying the pack.

I guess I'm an idiot for spending money on a game I enjoy and gladly support so it doesn't shut down then play for free and give nothing in return for all the hours spent gaming.

It's shameful really, it not only discourges people from supporting the game, but it also creates a very negative feeling after buying platium which should be a good feeling. The currency is needed to help the game go round, but these &#! holes are too ignorant to see it.

But buying platinum isn't cheating, it's only a shortcut to speed up the process of playing the game, money spent on our decision to spend money for whatever reason. You still have to level up your weapons/warframes, modify them, forma, ect. This game only makes money because of people's patience, desire for more content, and visual effects.

  16. Nekros is known for being the farm frame, any changes to help make him a better fighter while still being a farmer is great.

But even with these changes he's still not great.... He will be better then he was, but he will still be a flimsy fighter. His main move is hugely limited, by the energy it costs to use, by the time it's allowed on the field, the time it takes to cast it, by how many enemies can be summoned, by what can be summoned, and more.

Shadows of the Dead needs a huge rework, it needs more customization (having the option to command the dead have them run around and attack, go around to make a circle of protection around you or teammates, focus on one enemy, and so on.) You should work more on making it possible to give out commands for the move so Nekro's can not only be more useful but much more cooler to use.

    So SUGGESTION:

Allow Nekros to give out commands during Shadows of the Dead by selecting the move again and on screen come up with a prompt that allows different uses.

    - Circle Around you/TeamMate

    - Freely Attack

    - Focus Attack on one Enemy

    - Fight within a certain circle of proximetry.

Also, allow us to bring our fellow Tenno back from the dead when they are killed, not reviving them but becoming a resurected corpse to battle with us unless they decide to revive themselves or so on. And like any other resurrection only allow it to be used once a teammate is dead and is still dead.
